I had to switch to a new Dr when i moved to the Pearland area and what a nightmare it is every time i try to get my prescriptions refilled! I've NEVER in my life have had a more difficult time.. It the MOST FRUSTRATING experience ever.. When i take a prescription everyday & i need my meds refilled.. it usually take 5-7 days and i will have to go without for 3 or so days.... There has to be an easier way because this is ridiculous!

The place was a little difficult to find (HINT: DON'T LISTEN TO YOUR GPS AND TURN LEFT ON REFLECTION! Go past that light, then U-turn into that business center and look for #104), but other than that it was okay. The offices were clean, and the staff there was super nice and answered all my questions. They also really listened. It was all pretty painless.

I Been to so many drs, always felt worse than ever, always felt like they were rushing me, and would leave me more clueless. But then i was referred to Fasiha Haq MD. They are amazing, they listen to your needs and take time to explain every single question you have. Also the staff was so friendly. This is my to go place for sure :)

Well, I’ve been on medications A and B for 3 years, they could’ve checked with my previous doctors and let me stay with what I know worked for me. But instead they made me keep switching medication, and taking tests I didn’t need, even though I told them it wasn’t working and I was unhappy with it. Plus, having to see a different NP every time I went there, and never seeing a real doctor was annoying. I got a new referral from my insurance and actually got to see a doctor, and now I’m finally getting the help I need, instead of being treated like a lab rat. I felt terrible that they wouldn’t listen to me, specially since I was providing information they could easily confirm. When you already have anxiety, among other issues, and you’re finally trying to get help, but the people who are supposed to help you just don’t listen, that hurts. That delayed me going back on my treatment for 2 months. Pretty frustrating.

The appointment started out great, I saw Jelleica Tan, NP. She was kind and easy to talk to. Seeing a new psychiatrist is always tough; telling your family history, psych history & painful events to a complete stranger is never easy. I was so happy to finally find a psychiatrist office (I was assigned to a NP) who accepted my (low income) insurance and seemed to be a pretty legit business. After taking my history very quickly we moved on to what was advertised all over the waiting room- TMS. She explained that it cured people of depression and was seriously a life changer. 5 days a week for 6 weeks and my insurance would cover it. Once she sold me on the TMS treatment the billing department immediately started verifying benefits. Getting to the office M-F for 6 was with an hour commute one day was not realistic at the moment so as I was being checked out I thought to ask if maybe we could try a med change in the meantime since I’d come for that in the first place. She didn’t skip a beat, bringing me bottles of samples of a new antidepressant. That’s ALWAYS a bad sign, an office who pushes drugs for drug reps in exchange for fancy lunches and gifts is usually not concerned about what’s beat for the patient. More so they’re concerned about what’s best for them. All was good until I mentioned a medication I’d been on since 2015 that has s huge STIGMA surrounding it. I was made to wait while she consulted with the actual MD & then was basically told that I’d need to go elsewhere for medication management. She even tried to take my prescriptions back from me. At no point did the MD come in to talk or explain anything. I was referred to a psychiatrist who they refer to often for people on other meds beside psychiatrist meds. Of course he doesn’t accept my insurance. This must stop, psychiatrists are moving to cash only payments, refusing to take insurance at all or only taking a small number of patients on very few insurance plans. They’re charging $300-$400/visit and then refusing to treat some patients while overmedicating others. Its dangerous and sad that they’re turning away patients deemed complicated in favor of upper class moms on benzodiazepines and college students on stimulants-who can afford to pay cash or have badass insurance.

Terrible experience with Dr Merchant. She lowered my medication which my Dr (Dr. Schubin a neurologist with 30+ years experience) had given me. I told her it would be detrimental. She offered no solution or alternative medication. She had no knowledge. She did not even have a sleep hygiene paper or information. She was not helpful when my husband called. Mind you my husband is a top executive but he had just moved to Texas. She could not even speak in a reasonable or decent manner about a solution. Go at your own fish to a psychiatrist with very little knowledge.

I’ve been seeing Merdith Roach here for awhile now. Much longer than I’ve ever been able to stay with a therapist. He just seems to understand and be able to put what I’ve thought was something complex into the simplest of terms. I’ve felt comfortable to open up to him about childhood trauma I never thought I would talk about to another person. So I hope my good review doesn’t book up his schedule so I can’t get appointments now lol. Because he’s truly the best therapist I’ve ever seen and trust me I’ve seen MANY.

Well my first appt here went smoothly, was seen on time and the NP listened to what I had to say and prescribed accordingly. The next visit I wait 40 minutes beyond my appt time. When i was finally seen I was apologized to for the wait and was offered a new medication, always iffy about new meds being pushed on patients but i agreed and asked if my insurance would cover it. Was told it would but if not they had discounts/coupons to give me. Upon leaving I was given a coupon for a med that wasn't the one prescribed, and my other meds including that one were never sent over to the pharmacy. I called several hours later and they said they would tell the doc. Well that was a Friday and no meds were sent to the pharmacy all weekend until I called Monday. Of course the first call I get after that is from the pharmacy saying the new med isn't covered. So I call and ask if the doc can give me a different option only to never hear back from the NP. My girlfriend goes here as well and it seems like they are pushing new meds that the pharmacy reps are bringing in samples of or being told to try. Hers was not covered either. I hope the communication between me and the doctor can improve but if is doesn't I will be looking for another office. *update* Previous issues and concerns have been resolved and have been happy since the writing of this review. Raising the rating to 4 stars as long as things continue to go smoothly.

I can truly say that the detail and attention everyone have towards service makes you feel relax and safe from the moment you arrive. I highly recommend my therapist MERDITH D ROACH I had seen many therapist over the last 5 years, all of them really good, however this is the first time I move from deeply intense clinical depression to a functional, happy, active, and positive human being. The staff and doctors are awesome. They are great about fitting you in usually the same day if needed. Dr. Haq always takes the time to explain what is going on in your body that might make you feel the way you are feeling as well as how your mental health affects your physical health. She really listens and cares about you all aspects of your life and health and acknowledges when you've made noticeable progress. We no longer live very close to this location but continue to visit Dr Haq because we love the treatment.
