I had been a patient indirectly of Susan Cobb, being treated for depression and severe anxiety. After being prescribed a benzodiazapine I could not make it to my one week follow up appointment because my keys had gone missing, locking all forms of payment in my car (this is not a payment complaint). I called the office to inform them of the situation in advance and asked to stay on hold in order to speak with Susan Cobb about how the new drug was working. The front office, Sharon assured me that I would speak with "the person in charge" (yeah, right) kept me on hold for 15 minutes and returned to ask me to keep waiting. After 40 minutes, finally Susan Cobb answered the phone in a clearly agitated manner, telling me she was running late on her schedule and had just finished her previous appointment (the one before my scheduled appointment). She then said that her next appointment WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO AND WAS SCHEDULED TO BE ME was already there, so she could only talk at 4:45 pm which is not a time I am available. I was also informed that I would be charged the missed appointment fee (duh, I get that) and a phone appointment fee if I was able to call to get my questions answered later in the day, and that phone call fee cannot be claimed on insurance. She did not answer any of my questions, did not care to hear about my problems with the scheduled drug that she prescribed to me and now because of my inability to cope with the frustration of working with her, I have to wait for a new doctor in order to receive the medication that I need to be on, which will likely run out before I can see a doctor. Whether there are repercussions for treating patients poorly or not I just wanted it on record that this facility does not care for its patients and clearly only has a dollar sign in mind. And given the state of America, mental health needs to be a human rights issue, not a cash cow.
