$400 initial consult - not sure why it's so much to have a conversation with a doctor. I got the brand new doctor. She was very sweet, but quite unprofessional. Didn't review my chart, she told me. So it was an awkward first few moments while I sat on her couch. I guess that's my fault, I did show up 6 minutes early, which she seemed quite shocked I would be so prompt. I'm not entirely sure why. I feel like this place is looking for the quickest solutions and the easiest patients. After having some concerns about the discussed medications, I used their patient portal to communicate. I ended up feeling really confused and felt like I had spent a lot of money to just be more clueless about how to get the help I need. My doctor said she would call me, she didn't, I waited over 24 hours and then I reached out to Dixon. He got back to me very quickly! But then I was told I'm basically too needy and they wouldn't be seeing me at the practice. He assumed my questions meant I needed an additonal appointment, no... a follow up in a month would have been fine, but I was confused on the medication so I emailed. His response... I was shocked. I was diagnosed and prescribed, told to review the med and it's possible side effects, but then once doing so, I reached out to discuss different options and they've closed their doors on me. Arg! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Very very expensive for what service you are given. I was really expecting so muchmore. I hope they read this and listen to understand their patients. I've kept all the emails sent back and forth. Dixon promised a full refund and apologized to me that they wouldn't be able to help me further since apprently asking questions about my medication is deemed too needy. Good Luck to you Docs!
**Response to the response**
EVERYTHING you just replied with, you proved otherwise. I DID email you, and you shut your door on me! Your facility isn't an open door allowed to ask questions facility. Before ever emailing Dr. Dixon, I had read all these google reviews and thought "Man! Wish I had read these sooner!" because I saw the same reply you just gave me, and I thought, "Hey! I'll email Dixon! He seems like an approachable down to earth doctor! He can help me out with how I"m feeling towards the appointment I just had on Sunday... Glad to know I have this safe environment to communicate and get the assistance I need!" WRONG!!! FALSE!!! This review is meant to warn others like me... don't think you can email him because he sounds so understanding. He's not. This standard response he's been replying to all the 1 star reviews is hog wash. I was really excited thinking Dixon and his staff was going to be comfortable to work with. I knew the fees seemed high before I went, but I thought that would mean better care and more comprehensive analysis and treatment. It's not. It's just a scam after the people in Southlake.
