Staff is the worst and not friendly whatsoever. I don't know how many times they have messed up my appointment time. The denton location constantly has their phone on do not disturb and the calls go straight to voicemail. Making an appointment is such a hassle. My most recent visit they never got me scheduled so I showed up and they "squeezed me in". I waited nearly an hour after my scheduled time to be seen.

My experience at Northpointe was excellent!! I had to get information about a prescription for my grandmother, and I had no idea what questions to ask, or any detail about the drugs. As soon as I called; Chelsea Palmer answered the phone. As I began to stumble around with questions she patiently and efficiently answered my questions. She even answered questions I didn’t know I needed. She was very knowledgeable and extremely professional. Because of her I recommend this place!

This place is a joke! I've taken my daughter here twice in the last couple of months and both times we were early to her appointment and made to wait an hour or so after her appointment time. The staff is rude and I'm not for sure if anyone here is qualified to be giving any mental health services or meds.

No one answers phones, Doctors don't communicate. My last 3 apointments have been rescheduled by them due to the doctors being out of town. Therefore forcing me to withdrawl from my benzos on my own without being winged off putting me at risk of a siezure.

Our son see’s Nikki and she is absolutely amazing, our son loves her to death and she truly cares about him. Yes there can be a wait on their busy days but people seriously there is a lot of decent psychiatrists office that accept the insurances they do. Consider this your wait time is the result of a lot of people just like you wanted to be seen by someone here, they have a ln actually large staff that do there best to handle the rush.

Awful. Waiting time can be over an hour. Receptionist talk to you as if they just got out of bed. We were running late because of the accident, came in and doctor was talking to the front desk with nobody in her office and she would not take us,how rude, and I did call letting them know we were running late. This is first time in my life doctor turned us away. Doctor who were not busy and chatting with the front desk people. Save your time and money, go somewhere else

DO not ever go here!!!!! This place was a absolutely horrible experience! My daughter was over - medicated and overdosed that this doctor NIKKI prescribed her, was sent to Flower Mound Presbyterian Hospital ER because the "doctor" prescribed her medication that was in such a high dosage that she had a severe allergic reaction. ALL kinds of tests were done!!! Even the ER Nurse told me they have seen numerous kids being sent to ER for prescription overdose from NORTHPOINTE PSYCHIATRY!!!!! The office staff isn't friendly at all, they make negative unprofessional "opinions" on medical records of the patient and/or family members, cannot ever get a call back, cannot even get any billing statements or proof of payments just the worst psychiatry office ever!!!!! I DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY STARS BUT IN ORDER TO POST A REVIEW IT REQUIRES ONE.

I don't know about Dr. Islam himself(as I never saw him), but I was referred there by M.D clinic, the woman i did speak with didn't even listen to me and immediately wanted to hospitalize me at MAYHILL. When I refused, she demanded to speak to my mother(I brought her for moral support) ,and proceeded to tell her personal information I just said in the assessment, AFTER I told her to keep my info private. Then When i told her I wasn't under an insurance policy, she immediately changed her tune and sent me away with 'call mhmr'. 180 dollars to be told to go somewhere else is just a waste of money.

The front desk workers are very helpful and work in a timely manner and the doctors are very friendly. Overall a very good atmosphere and I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for psychiatric help.

Dr. Islam is amazing but the front desk staff isn't very friendly. The office phone is generally forwarded to a voicemail and it's hard to reach anyone. Everytime we walk into the office, the front desk girls are on their cell phones and eating something out of a greasy bag. I love Dr. Islam, but he could find better front office help. Response to K F previous comment... the cell phones are open to your personal text message screens, so I'm not sure which pharmacies you're communicating with... especially when the last thing you typed was "LOL." As far as eating, IDK any office whose staff only eats Hot Cheetos at 3:00pm for "lunch." Zero customer service from the front desk staff... each visit validates my claim.

Their mission statement “It is our goal to provide thoughtful, competent, compassionate and thorough psychiatric evaluation and continuing care in a confidential and respectful environment.” Our experience with North Point Psychiatry was not reflected in this mission statement. They were not thoughtful made us leave even though the patient was in a medical crisis and had an appointment, because Marian Fabyan would rather go home than treat a patient in need. Not competent I made sure to let the State Medical Board know that. Compassionate ha! Marian Fabyan cared less if the patient she sent home, kill them selves as long as she was home in time to watch her shows. It is medical “professionals” like this, that are in it for the wrong reasons that people die or kill others. Marian Fabyan should not only lose her job, but be stripped of her medical license.

I’m just going to list out my complaints about this agency. 1. Everybody’s on a different page. One person will tell you one thing about billing another says something else. I feel misled about their billing practice. Was told my husband would get a discounted rate by one of their providers numerous times only to find out “he doesn’t have the authority to do that.” Spoke with Dr. Islam directly (had to pay a $30 copay because we couldn’t see him any other way according to the office staff) only to have him say he won’t do anything. Then he got upset at my husband stating that he was here to meet with him about his mental health and not bills. Well tell that to your office staff! Incredible. I’ve never witnessed such greed before. My husband and I both went here but that’s over with. I suppose losing two patients who consistently see providers there was less important than honoring their promises. 2. They are never on-time. I typically plan on a minimum hour wait each time with the longest being three hours one appointment. I get that people have issues but time needs to be managed better. 3. Office staff is incredibly rude. They’re obviously over worked and need some support but the way they act toward patients really isn’t acceptable. You can call and call (Denton office) and they won’t answer the phone. I think they got upset that my husband was calling so many times about the billing issues and they started to ignore us. As soon as I made my number unknown they answered. I’m just done dealing with this place. Overall, I did like their providers. I felt like they were thorough but the other factors listed above, especially the deceptive billing practices sealed the deal. My husband and I won’t be returning here. There are plenty of other providers who would be happy to take our money.

if i could i would not even rate it a star but to post i had to! the head manager, dhara i think is her name is the most unprofessional, rudest person i have ever met!! she never gives you her full attention and just interrupts you while your speaking and one time i called up to see about getting my sons medication refilled and she cut me off and was so rude and even hung up on me!! she is always on her phone and thats not even a good look especially when she's the first person you see when you walk into the office! I've heard her complain about patients and i dont know if dr islam condones that kind of behavior but i stopped taking my son there and have found a nice place in flower mound where the doctor and staff are really nice and caring

Dr. Islam scribe Lexy Rae is very kind and makes you feel like you're talking to a friend. I love this place even if I do have to wait a little while.

I have only been to the Denton office, but there is no where to review just that office. The staff is great and Dr. Pete is very good and thorough. My only complaint is the amount of wait time. It is a bit ridiculous. I get the first appointment of the day and I still have to wait. He got there 1 minute before my appt time and someone who walked in right after he did went in before me. I got in 45 min after my appt. That's ridiculous. I drive too far for that kind of disregard to other people's time. If he wasn't so good I would have stopped going after the first time.

Dr.Isalm is such a caring doctor who listens to my daughter and has been able to get her to open up to him. No other psychiatrist has been able to do that. Also the girls in the office are so sweet and helpful. Wonderful staff!!! I’m very grateful to have found this office.

I love this office. I've never had an issue getting an appointment. The front office staff has always been warm and friendly. Sure sometimes there is a wait however, Dr Islam takes his time with patients and doesn't rush them through. I don't mind waiting knowing that each patient is getting the time and attention they need.

If you are truly looking for true mental health to better yourself this is not the place to seek help. The office staff is rude and totally forget they are dealing with individuals who struggle with mental health. Also there is a waiting list to see a counselor however the waiting room was full of individuals waiting to see the nurse for meds. This place lacks professionalism and mental health professionals.

I don't know what's harder - Calling the office and someone actually picking up the phone, or being seen at your appointment time. I have to wait at least an hour every time I come here, and I have to leave a voicemail every time I call. It usually takes 2-3 days before someone calls me back.

I don't know what everyone else is talking about, but I have been treated with nothing but respect from the staff and Dr. Islam! I am fully disabled, with a service dog and never once have I experienced any problems! He was quick to write me a nice prescriptions Based on my integrity that I would not abuse. I appreciate this office, the Denton location as well as the Louisville location. I have not ever been to a better doctors, and I have gone to at least 75he listens to me, and does not make me feel rejected or judged. Nor does he interrupted me. I would definitely recommend him.

They have the absolute worst office managment! It's impossible to get your refills and they will cancel your appointments all the time. It's a huge nightmare dealing with these people. They have been getting such bad reviews they are offering patients discounts on refills and copays if you review them on Google IN FRONT OF THEM and give them 5 stars. All of these 5 stars aren't legit, it's people trying to get a discount. Look at the rating history all 1s and 2s until recently, and believe me, nothing has changed!

If I could give it zero stars I would. Apathy is the theme here. I've only come here for so long because with my terrible insurance, there were very few other choices out there and long waiting lists. Honestly there were some months that turned into years where I just coasted along not getting much better but just settling for feeling like a side effect all the time and being "flat" and numb. Untrue accusations have been made of me in my chart that prevent me from having a fresh start somewhere else. I've seen Dr. Islam & every other nurse Practitioner in both Denton & Lewisville offices and I could go on all day about all the ways I've been wronged at this practice. I was put on meds I STILL can't seem to get off of, that caused me to gain over 100 lbs & develop hypothyroidism, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes & binge eating disorder. Put on meds for the binge eating that sent me into a manic phase, psychosis, caused me so much trouble breathing, fatigue & elevated my already high blood pressure & heart rate that I still can't catch my breath getting out of bed to walk to the bathroom, let alone exercise, even though I'm off that medication now. I was taken off other meds abruptly, which caused me to be manic & have terrible insomnia. Was put on meds that gave me terrible akathesia, panic attacks, permenant facial tics (tardictive dyskensia) depression, worsening anxiety and mania. Nobody has ever ever cared about me here or truly listened to how I feel. I'm not looking forward to starting over with such a mess I'm carrying over from Northpoint. It works both ways. Maybe if they had been able to help me get stable years ago I wouldn't still be struggling so badly today & so hurt and angry worse than I've ever been before. Thanks alot Northpoint. Four long years of my life I've wasted here and I can never get those years back!

Ive been diagnose with being add my whole life in order to function i take either two types of Meds. But because of there judgemental ways i can't get the help i need i get ssi and Medicaid so that i can have my prescription but IV been forced to go without it ive even lost my job i would not recommend. Them they want listen to u at all ive been given other meds i don't even know what for must find a new provider so that i can get back on track they don't even deserve a 0 they are useless and they misdiagnose
