This is the worst doctor's office period!!!! The doctor's lie to their patients, and they Breach Confidentiality, they are in violation of Federal and State Laws, and they belittle their patients, not only in front of their staff, but in front of other patients as well. Such was the case on Thursday, February 22nd, and Friday, February 23rd, of 2018!!!!!

ONLY COME HERE IF YOU WANT A LEGAL BATTLE!!!! The billing department billed me a year later and now I'm not able to pay my bill. The lady that is head of the billing department named "Lynn" refused to give me her last name when I threatened to file a compliant about the way she was handling the issue. I'm filing a discrimination lawsuit now due to this whole thing. If you're considering coming here think again because it really can turn into just another major stresser.

I tried to make an appointment for depression and was denied because Medicare and Cigma Medicare Supplement Insurance are not accepted. [Dare I say age discrimination?] I wanted to make an appointment with @SheilaLiu, MD.

I highly recommend this place. The staff is friendly and professional and there is hardly any wait time. I highly recommend Madonna Yancey. She is very professional, well versed in her craft, actually listens, and provides great feedback.

At 3:30 pm on 12/20/2016, I called Dr. T office to inform her that I would be late arriving late for my 4:15 pm appointment. Her assistant answered the phone and stated that if I cancelled, it would be a 50.00 fee. I then asked if I could simply speak to her over the phone in which I was told that would be a 90.00 fee because phone calls were not covered by my insurance. I proceeded to ask her assistant where in my insurance did it say that or if she knew what insurance I had. The assistant stated that she did not have to answer. She then informed me that she was going to hang up on me. I informed her that I believed I had the right to ask questions about the policy and she hung up. No one cared if I was running out of medicine, no one asked me if I was ok at all which is alarming. I called again and asked to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for 5 minutes. I could hear people in the background but no one ever came. I hung up and called again and this time I finally was put in touch with someone who informed me that even thought Dr. T set the policies in place, I could not talk to her. I told them I would pay the 90.00, I just want to get my medicine. I was told that in order to talk to Dr. T, I would have to get her permission. I waited another 5 minutes and told she simply left. No one even cared how I was doing, if I was low on medicine, no one cared at all. I was still on the phone at 4:15 pm, the time of my appointment and I was told at 4:22 pm that she simply left. I have edited my post from one star to four because I met with Dr. Toutounchi on 12/28/2016. She was deeply sympathetic about the negative experience I had and overall was very open and sincere which I really appreciated.

Plain and simple, if you are looking to make changes in your life and/or in yourself, Dr. Ashley D. Toutounchi will get you there. I came to Ashley about 4 months ago, completely lost and unhappy with most aspects of my life. Fast forward to present day, I have made a complete 180 and am absolutely certain I wouldn't have gotten to where I am today (and in such a short span of time) without her. My friends, family and co-workers are still in shock at the amazing progress I've made, I've never felt more driven, confident, clear, or day to day happy. Hands down, one of, if not, the best decision I've made in my life...for my life, was the one to see Dr. Ashley D. Toutounchi.

They take an extremely long lunch from 12-1:30 which they are usually early to leave for and really late to come back to, during which time no one in their enormous staff is available to answer the phone. It’s a huge inconvenience and like other posters have mentioned, this is a DOCTORS office and they don’t seem to care at all about what that means.

I had the displeasure of making an appointment at this office with Ashley Toutounchi at the Richmond location. I had an early morning appointment at 8:45 a.m. got there on time and proceeded to wait 40 minutes for what would have been an $80 appointment for 15 minutes. After the forty minutes had elapsed I requested a refund from the staff. No staff member informed me of the possibility of a longer wait time. What I found appalling, was that Ashley did not even attempt to reach out to the patient in need (me) for even a short phone call to check on my current condition. If I were running a business that had long wait times for people in need that were paying me in excess of $300 per hour, I would have the courtesy to call them to apologize about the wait and to get feedback on the current condition. Don't they care how their patients are responding? I would. So in summary, here are the takeaways 1. Inform patients that a longer wait is possible and much before 40 minutes have elapsed. 2. Have the doctor call to apologize for the wait 3. Have doctor check on condition because maybe she would show signs of actually caring about the patient outcome

I'm not reviewing the clinicians, but I am reviewing their phone service and availability to contact the office. Perhaps it's only the two doctors who are on "Press 2 for Dr. L. and Dr. F" but it is literally impossible to get someone to call you back. Their automated phone setup is a total maze and mess and the end result is you cannot connect to a live person. After you navigate through all the automated options, and you press the number for your doctor, another voice tells me "There is no one who can answer your call, please leave a message and someone will return your call" I left messages for two days and no one returned the call. I desperately needed to speak to Dr. F or his back up, to report side effects before they got worse - what to do? They have about 3 different versions of the taped message: 1) If you call during office hours, you have to go through the maze, get to your doctor's line with the "There is no one who can take your call, leave your recorded message" and NO ONE will call you back. (2) The "We are closed for lunch between 11 am and 1 pm, please call back during office hours - as if that will help; and (3) You call outside the office hours, and you will get their Answering Service - finally a live person, who will tell you they have taken down your concern and info and they will give it to the office when they open - Hey! but at least you get a live person who will listen to your frustration. I suspect the messages are sent to the office, but again what they do with it is unknown because NO ONE WILL EVER RETURN YOUR CALL. However, if you call in the morning before the office opens at 9 am, the answering service will not take a message but instead tell you to call back "when the office opens at 9" and you are back to square one. The Associates need to call in as "regular persons" and see what we go through. Day 3 of trying to get someone to talk to and get some answers, get some help....

Nothing but positive things to say. Dr.T is awesome, and Madonna makes me feel comfortable at our visits, and speaks with a Christian mindset, which is important to me. I have yet to find any negative aspects about this place! I would definitely recommend!

Awful provider saw her at university of houston and she was terrible. Diagnosed me with an illness I've never had. This provider is terrible untheraputic and selfish.

I have been coming to this location for over three years. I have always found this office to be professional, timely and accomidating. I recommend this office to anyone looking for a doctor that specialiizes in psychiatric needs.

They never answer the phone, I called for 3 days at different times and nobody ever answered. Once I was able to talk to someone, they were rude and she was not helpful at all.

South Loop practice - Excellent from start to end (apart from its ongoing). After experiencing such terrible treatment from previous psychiatrist and a local hospital, this place is an absolute godsend. The Outpatient Program is exemplary with Donna being so caring and helpful with all the paperwork for disability and insurance. Plus Dr Giray is so caring and treats you holistically. Also, the front staff if you treat them with respect and friendliness they are also really helpful too. I would highly recommend this place, its services and doctors to anyone.

This loop central location arguably has some of the best psychiatrists in the Houston area. I cannot speak highly enough of how well they've helped me during a difficult time. IOP is phenomenal. Donna (iop therapist) is highly motivated, effecient, and makes you feel right at home. Dr Giray treats holistically and is a very sweet person as well. Such a huge relief after a bad experience doing telepsychiatry via doctor on demand app. The office staff take a little while to warm up to but I've seen them bend over backwards to help people including me so please don’t be too hard on them. Just standing at the counter I feel their pain. Imagine if you had phones ringing every 5 seconds, i would easily be cranky. Love this place.
