Not ONCE have I ever been called back on time and on average I wait OVER AN HOUR before being called back. The doctors blame the front staff and the INCOMPETENT AND RUDE front staff blame the doctors. This place is a mess so unless you feel like wasting your life away in a waiting room stay clear. You're better served by another doc's office. I get charged if I no show but I don't get anything when you blatently blow me off and run late. This place needs a new office manager. You charge me twice almost every co pay and claim it doesn't go through and clearly your schedule doesn't allow for ANY wiggle room. I'm never late, your always late and I never get an apology. Over rated and down right disrespectful.

Michael Graves is amazing! He vaules this patients. I won't go to anyone else.

I will be finding another Dr for my son after today. When I showed up 5 min early for my 8 year olds appt I was informed that the Medicaid contract had lapsed. Thus causing my visit to be self pay. I was informed that a letter had been sent out to notifiy Medicaid patients. (I did not get that letter due to previous issues with his Medicaid.) He has Medicaid because I unfortunately can not afford their prices on my own. When I called to make his appt I was not Re-notified of this problem. So a very nice lady, another patient, offered to pay for the visit for me (she was an angel), to which we were both informed that wasn't possible, trust me our jaws dropped. This also told me I had no other option for payment. The check in lady went to see if I could get a months RX to cover until they fix their problem. I was also told no to this because of a canceled appt which was due to Medicaid on my part. It had been to long in between appt. My son becomes violent when not on his meds, they didn't care about that, it's all about the money with these people. I have worked in the medical field, you always triple check information with the patient and work with them... This office does not. If you take Medicaid for kids how on earth can you let it lapse? Obviously the parents can't afford the office visit if the kid has Medicaid. Yet you give the parent no other option than to fork over money they just don't have. As a side note, I have no problem with my son's dr at this practice, just the office staff.

Thus far, the initial experience has been fair, but we've only just had the first consult for our son which had to be scheduled almost 4 months in advance. Additional testing is scheduled 1.5 months from now. This scenario is not ideal for people seeking help, but I'm taking into consideration that their office is so busy that this can't be helped. Additionally, it was disappointing to find the lobby/waiting room so very stale and institutional-like. Our son felt very awkward and isolated entering into an establishment for mental health, and it does not help that the waiting room itself does not promote patient health. Any medical waiting room ought to be welcoming and comfortable, but especially that of a mental health practice. Honestly, the atmosphere can speak very loudly about the staff in that practice, regardless of the actual quality of therapy. Your reception area tends to convey to patients how you will treat them, so it would be helpful if the reception area didn't feel like a mental institution or jail.

Betsy Gorter

I have been using this place for months. Personalized treatment for multiple issues I had was something I needed. I was given this with the help of the amazing staff here. My life has improved drastically since going here.

Sadly I had to fire Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands today. I was a patient of Michael Graves and was very happy with the professional, sage and enthusiastic service he provided me. So much so I didn't mind the wait time, which was often an hour past my appointed time, to see him. Everything changed for me last Tuesday when my son saw Mark Lejsek for the first time with concerns regarding anxiety and depression. As this was a re-occurring condition his father and I thought it might be necessary to add some medication to his therapy. Mark suggested a powerful anti psychotic drug first used for schizophrenia and later for depression. According to FDA reports it had shown some dependency in teens as they tended to increase the dose over time to increase "feeling good". When my husband called him back Mark stated it wasn't and that he had never been asked that question before. This made me feel belittled and chastised as if we shouldn't ask questions. When I called to book my son in with Michael to get a second opinion I was told it was policy not to change providers and that I would have to call Mark's receptionist and explain why I wanted to change. So wanting a second opinion is no longer a valid reason to see someone else? I also explained I have recently completed 8 weeks in a recovery center and was not in an emotionally/psychologically safe enough place to deal with bureaucratic red tape; as an existing patient could they not help me during this time? No...not their policy. I am disappointed, disgusted and amazed that the feelings of your staff and policy come before the well being and psychological stability of two of your patients. Doctors....heal thyself.

After providing treatment to my daughter for a year and stating my daughter would be a good candidate for an emotional support dog, we did our research and purchased one. They now refuse to provide the paperwork. They gave us a scam website to go to obtain paperwork for 200.00. This is so unprofessional. I am in shock they would send a patient to an online scam to obtain documents from someone who is fake and has no record of her care and issues. Do not go to this practice. We will not be using them going forward.

Kim Geller

I have been a patient here since November 2017. I have always been treated with care and respect from each staff member. I have come a long way in these pass months. I walked in as a despondent, depressed and hopeless person. I am now a happy, hopeful and active person. I am so thankful I was referred here.

My two boys and I have been patients here for 3 years. Both of my boys are ADHD and have other things. In the 3 years we have been there we have never seen Dr Lucas, who is supposed to be our head psychiatrist. Lately my youngest son needed extra help with behavioral medicine due to his special health diagnosis and I was informed that my only option to see Dr Lucas was to put my son inpatient. He is 14 and autistict. That is not an option. When we started going there we were seeing the most wonderful Dr named Dr Dawn Brown, unfortunately for us she left after 3 appointments and went into practice by herself. We were then shifted to Averleigh Cook. Let's just say she has no clue what she is doing and thank the good Lord I know a little bit about my children's and myself mental health background. Now because our family has fallen on hard times and had to go on Medicare they informed me that as of last week they will no longer take our insurance without giving us a referral. All three of us are now left to figure out how to find a new psychiatrist before we run out of medicine. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I have been with them with regular insurance through my husbands work and now Medicare and: one, the wait times are usually 1 hr or more if you are scheduled after noon and, two they run their practice completely illegally. Check into about them being investigated for overprescribing medicine!!!

Do not use this clinic. Over the past few years I have encounted extreme waits to see the provider,(several hours or more) rude and unhelpful office staff and an overall lack of customer service or any type of display of compassion. The entire office staff are unfriendly and downright nasty. My son had been seeing one of the providers and it seemed too complicated to start over, but I finally got fed up with this group and will not be back. Steer Clear!

Laura Smith

The only thing I dislike is the wait times. Bring a book I've waited for over an hour to see Glenn. I understand that some patients take more time but I heads up would be nice.

Pat Resids

I have been trying to schedule an appointment as a new patient but cannot seem to get anyone to return my call. I have left voicemail messages as instructed for a couple of weeks now but they are not returned. When I call a different line I am just rudely told that no one can help me but the new patient coordinator, which is some mysterious person that seems unreachable. I do not know why it is so difficult to schedule an appointment, or at the very least get a return call. This is a very unprofessional business practice.

I have been going to Glenn Humphress at Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands for a few months now, and I am extremely happy with the care I have received. He was able to assess my problem with a series of questions and had a preliminary diagnosis on our first meeting, and he explained the research supporting the medication he prescribed. The treatment has been very successful, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Everyone I have interacted with at the clinic is professional, the clinic itself is gorgeous, and I have always been seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time. There are always children with their parents in the waiting room, so I assume the clinic treats mostly kids and adolescents, but I am an adult, and I happily drive from Kingwood to get this level of care. I really don’t understand the negative reviews, and the reviewers mischaracterize a standard best practice of mental health clinics by stating that there are only two psychiatrists with M.D.’s on the team, as though that is some kind of problem. (You want to keep costs for patients down, right? Not everyone needs to see an M.D., but if you need to, you certainly can.) You can see plainly on their website that there are 17 practitioners at Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands, with each practitioner’s credentials on display. In addition to Dr. Lucas and Dr. DeVos, there are psychologists, therapists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and physician assistants (who are credentialed and licensed to prescribe and manage medications as agents of a supervising physician). When my therapist in Kingwood recommended Family Psychiatry to me, I called for my first appointment, and they asked me some questions that helped me determine which type of practitioner I should see. Very professional.

I have been going to this group of doctors for about 1 1/2 years. I have been very pleased with everyone I have worked with from check in to check out. Like any others doctors I have learned since I don't have children to work around that I can make my appointment right around lunch time and get in and out really fast. They have put up with me and all the questions I can come up with and they are still smiling. So if you need a friendly person to talk with, I would highly recommend this office

I knew from the moment I walked all the way down the "tranquil" trails to the office that this was going to be a bad experience. The reception was rude, a sign on a table telling you to put your name in a box and sign some papers? Then Ms./Mrs. Avaliegh Cook, NP herself called me back, not that I knew until I was in the office with her because she didn't say until we were in there, "I'm Avaliegh Cook by the way" or such, then she sat down and propped her cowboy boot wearing feet up and ignored me while typing away on a laptop. I prompted to try to make conversation with her, to discuss my reasons for being there, my symptoms. She did not ask. All she did was horribly criticize my medications and dosages without allowing me any explanation. Not only that but she apparently diagnosed me, somehow, but the only way I knew was by researching the ICD-10 codes on Google myself. She was cold, uncaring, and unwilling to listen. My psychologist, and my new psychiatrist BOTH were familiar with this name, as they have had MANY patient say similar things and defect from her. It's time for Family Psych of the Woodlands to consider a pink slip. **MY EDIT on 11/13/18 AFTER receiving response from the owner here on Google Reviews (my original review, everything before this portion, was posted 11/12/18): Your generic, copied and pasted, response on all the negative reviews shows what kind of practice this is. Accusing your patient's of false claims, then on top of it you seem to be attempting some not so subtle attempt at reverse psychology to make the reviewer feel guilty. IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM WOULD I EVER DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM GETTING THE HELP THEY NEED. This review was intended to show that Ms./Mrs. Avaleigh Cook, NP, is a horrible representation of what a psychiatric patient needs, but now, after receiving such a rude response, I'd like to clarify to anyone reading this: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE. GET THE HELP YOU NEED, BUT FIND IT ELSEWHERE!

Max Blaschke

Julie Russell

I found the staff to be rude. The doctor was nonchalant. I was not impressed at all.

George Smith

Absolutely pitiful. Family member has been going there for 11 years. Never less than over an hour wait past your appointment time. Today it's been 2.5 hours wait past appointment time. All the counter staff says is "you're next, sorry about the wait." It's one thing if this happened once or twice, but it's another thing when it's the norm and happens every time! Clearly, whoever does the appointment scheduling is incompetent. There needs to be accountability and improvement. What do you think this establishment would do if the tables were turned and its clients were an hour to two and a half hours late showing up for their appointments? Tha answer is obvious...

Im Anonymous

This has got to be the most rude and unprofessional group of mental health care staff I have ever encountered in my life! Over the period of 1 year, I have tried scheduling appointments and have never spoken to one individual with a caring, compassionate attitude in the office. Every person that has answered the phone has always spoken to me with a rude, impolite, discourteous and impertinent attitude! What gives???? This office staff desperately need retraining!

Candice Youngblood

We see Mark Lesjek & Brian Graham and have been very happy with the services we’ve recieved. Much happier than with other providers we’ve seen. As for the wait times... when you live in a populated area, long wait times are just something you have to accept and prepare for. Just the way it is anywhere you go. Especially if it’s a good provider. They don’t rush my appointment even if they are behind. That’s something I really appreciate.

Marsha McCaddon

Pros: Dr Lucas best child Psychiatrist. My son who is an adult now saw Dr Lucas for 15 years. Dr Lucas is caring and worked to find the best psychiatric medication. He tried many before finding one that worked. Cons: The appointment timeto see him was never on time and often over an hour or more. Pros: I see Kathleen Dalton who is a R.N. but serves as a Psychiatrist to Dr Lucas. I’ve been seeing her for 5 years and she has worked to find the best antidepressant for my needs. Cons: None

Kim Mcgrath

Glenn humphress is the most horrible and uncaring person. I went there because I had lost weight and was having marital problems and he pretty much told me to not worry about what my husband does (and belittled my feelings) and just go home and eat 1300 calories, he also proceeded to not give me part of my prescription but told me if I gain the weight back and came back he would give it to me. So I not only gained 16 pounds which is more than what I actually weighed the first time I saw him and he still saying he doesn't want to give me my meds. These meds work together for my depression and now he is still not wanting to give it to me. I did what he asked and I even got a letter from my doctor cleared me to get these meds and he still will not give them to me. I am beyond words with this man and to find out he's not even a psychiatrist he's a physicians assistant to a psychiatrist!!! So done with this practice unless I have a real psychiatrist wants to see me and actually help me I will no longer go there!!

Rich Bigelow

Glenn Humphress is without question the most competent mental health professional I have ever consulted. He is not only a medicine expert, he probes me on the underlying causes of my condition. He listens to me and carefully crafts a response and suggestions to make me a better person. He never rushes our visit and works hard to provide counseling and medication to improve my life.

Dustie Hollon

Had seen Dr. Humphress for over a year and consistently had to wait for over half an hour to see him, even as the first appointment of the day. I expressed my concern for the time I was having to take leave from work, for a 15 minute appointment, and he expressed that I should have a later appointment so they would have all their paperwork finished. Having come to the later appointment, I still had to wait over half an hour to see him. I called the office to request a new doctor, and they said that I would have to get permissions from Dr. Humphress to change doctors. I have changed doctors, and clinics.

Allen Laws

Need some help? This place won't help you. The office building will drive a person crazy trying to find the office. Make sure you have a credit card, they don't take a check. Great to tell a new patient we won't see you or help you. The staff is rude, just the type of people you want working for a MENTAL doctor. SAVE YOUR MONEY, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Cathy Miller

I've been seeing Mark for several yrs now and he has made a big difference in my everyday life. I still have my ups and downs but, without his professional knowledge and just his overall caring personality I don't know where I would be today. Thank you Mark for putting up with me!!

Ramona Plaster

I have been going there a few months now. I see nothing wrong with it. Perhaps the ones who are unhappy should check out other Psychiatry "clinics" They are packed because they double booked. Been there, done that and won't do it again. Yes I do have to see different people most of the time, but they ask you at check out who you want to see. They managed after a year and a half with another office to fix my meds almost immediately so that I can live a so called normal bipolar life.

Addison Menchaca

I'm moving to the woodlands soon and was searching for a good psychiatrist. After reading these reviews I can definitely say that I am disappointed a place like this exists in such a great community. My one star rating in a plead for this facility to leave The Woodlands so that a good facility can take it's place.

Alaina Daniel

If I could give a 0 star rating I would. I recently got ahold of my medical files and come to find out I have a condition that my doctor has not one talked to me about or even tried to help me with. Every time I come I end up waiting for at least an hour and a half. This will be the absolute last time I come to this place. My doctor doesn't even remotely seem like he actually wants to help me. This is ridiculous and I will not spend another penny here ever again.

Bethany Peña

Well, I guess since I've been waiting in the waiting room just to see the doctor for a follow up FOR OVER AN HOUR. I thought hmmmm what a great way to kill time than to leave my review :) This is the third time I've been here, please don't waste your precious time coming to this place you will have to wait at least an hour and a half to see the doctor. Also, the people in the office charged me $60 just because they didn't know what to charge me even though I have an account they can pull money from. Last time I came they verified it just fine without having to charge me anything. When I asked them about it the response was that they're going to see why they can't verify my insurance. I never received a follow up call or email. This place is such a disappointment please go anywhere in the world except here. If you do take the daring risk to come here, just know you have been warned!!!

Helena Lajaunie

Craig Holzhauser

The receptionist was exceptionally rude. They refused to see my son at the time of his appointment. Then sent us a bill for $50 for a no show.

Jeff Harrington

I have moved 10 times in my careeer working for a large international oil company. Without question, their Customer Engagement Model is far superior to any of the prior 10 practices I’ve experience!

Leslie Imhoff

I absolutely love this place. I had so many reservations about whether or not I would be able to find the help that I needed as I hadn't seen a Psychiatrist in years prior to coming here. The ladies in the front office are so very nice and professional, as are the ladies that assist you when you leave after your session and are easy to work with when it comes to scheduling your next appointment. I, by complete chance, ended up seeing Dr. Humphress and Jessi and I can't even begin to tell you what a blessing it has been! They are both two of the sweetest, professional, passionate, and hard working people I have met in a VERY long time. They both work so wonderfully together and they make you feel so comfortable, special, and well taken care of EVERY VISIT! I would recommend this practice as well as Dr. Humphress and Jessi to EVERYONE! Great things are happening here...

crystal mark

Spot on care, resolved complex issues. Listens and finds working solutions. I myself am a care provider I highly recommend Glenn .

marisavitales .

I'm looking for a Dr.....I think I'll call somewhere else. The Dr.s seems to have good reviews which is usually more important but it still looks bad. I already have stress issues as it is....I don't need any more. I thought I would add my two cents with that. The only reason I left my last Dr. is because the staff was very unorganized/lacked bedside manner....and it still very important; it sets up the tone for the whole experience. What if I ever need paperwork filled out for my job....I don't want to be playing phone tag with the staff. ugh...now to keep shopping.

DB CHHB

Very difficult to get in and in our case quite unfriendly. Very unflexibel.

Joey Johnston

Extremely rude front desk people

Laurene Wistner

I agree with the other reviews that wait times are long...I know they are trying to maximize the number of patients, but given the nature of their practice whoever is doing scheduling needs to not pack 'em in. That being said, we are VERY happy with the service, and if we have to wait to get it, we'll continue to go back. My son started seeing Mark Lejsek, who completely changed his medications...we appreciate him listening to our sons needs, and changing to less meds that have worked out much, much better. Also, we had wanted to do a "baseline" test to see how our son was doing after a serious brain injury. It did take 2 1/2 months to get in to Dr. Deitch, and another 1 1/2 months to get the results. BUT, it was the most thorough and comprehensive report we have seen so far, and extremely helpful in understanding where our son was at now, and was his prognosis is for improving. This clinic is backlogged because they are really good at what they do, so we will take the wait for the great customer care and service.

Nicole Brown

Very rude and unprofessional. It is so hard when patients are already having so many issues, and having to wait months just to get help. On top of all of that staff is very rude, and uncaring. Why be in this industry if you are going to be that rude. I will never come here, and this place lost my business. Really hope managers will redirect their employees.

monika berg

I have been going here since I was 12 years old and my experiences have been nothing but great. The doctors are genuinely caring, and have worked hard to make sure I have everything I need to stay stable and happy. I recommend this place to everyone.

Kyle Lee

I love my Doctor and the staff here. The most punctual Doctor's office I have ever dealt with. My doctor is fantastic. He always listens and addresses any concerns. Professional when needed but can talk to him like a friend. I highly recommend this office. Besides my doctor, all the staff I have dealt with have been professional and courteous.

Jessica Canchez

Before they say they have no record of a Jessica Canchez attending as one of their client, I'm am obviously writing this under a pin name. Micheal Graves is the worst nurse practitioner I have ever dealt with in my life. I would show up at his office after staying awake for two sometimes tree days and he would just increase my mood stabilizer and wouldn't give me anything to help me sleep. My suicidal thoughts increase dramatically when I am sleep deprived. I truly believe this office almost killed me. They also would not acknowledge my intrusive thoughts and kept insisting that they were racing. This lead to them giving me the wrong medication. I switched off of Micheal but by the time I did it was already too late. I was too mad at this clinic to stay. While I attended this office I could not brush my hair, clean my room or do any of those tasks that one does to take care of themselves. I had to cut off all of my locks and I truly blame in this clinic. Within two weeks of switching to doctor Dr. Ginsbergs office I am able to take care of myself again. These people DO NO LISTEN TO THEIR PATIENTS! They under medicate them and do not understand the real issue.

josh nichols

I regularly visited this place for about 3 years back when I was practically controlled by my depression, anxiety, and anger. After reading a lot of these 1 star reviews, I can’t help but think they’re incredibly childish and unneeded. I agree there was usually a long wait but you’ll find bad waiting times at pretty much everything in the medical field. Mark Lejsek was always remarkably professional and inviting throughought our appointments. I highly recommend him to anyone new to this as he quickly eased my nervousness with the well thought and detailed responses he gave to my questions. He would always explain what he was giving me, why that medication/dosage specifically, the side effects, the proper way to take the drug, and what exactly it’d do for me. There were a few times I needed an appointment when Mark was unnavailable so I ended up seeing 1 or 2 other psychiatrists here and there. All very similar to Mark in their professionalism and passion for medicine. Besides the 30-60 minute wait, I’ve always found woodlands family psychiatry to be an astounding clinic from the enjoyable health professionals to the little turtles in the pond under the bridge.

We have worked with two practicioners here. Both are effective and supervised by the same physician but opposite in styles/personality. I think there is someone for anyone here @ FPW, and the office staff is great when you are there. Email and phone skills still need some polishing. The campus is downright gorgeous, but I will agree it can be a bit tricky to find your first couple of visits. However, I hold The Woodlands style and rules accountable for that, not FPW... they try. We have never had to wait excessively- we switched from a smaller practice where each appointment meant a full day out of school because we would always wait at least two hours!

Mary Stewart

First let me say I've been seeing a psychiatrist since I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1984 so my assessment of this practice does come with experience compared to many others and in different states too. I see Mark L and have for several years. He is great. Glenn Humphress is very lacking. I had an appt with him where a STRANGER set in on my appt with us and Humphress didn't ask who he was. I thought the person was an intern maybe observing so I didn't say anything. This incident was weird enough but the issue that really messed me up was that Glenn changed my meds (that I had been perfectly fine on for several months) to Lamictal which put me in the hospital!!! He meant well but !!!!!!! ..... I have NEVER in my 62 yrs been soooooooo messed up. All my family members except my son that is a NICU doctor believed that my personality had changed and would never come back. I was so very sick. I kept a journal of that time because my phychologist ask me to. She wanted to use it as a tool to try to help me because I made no sense talking with her. She was also VERY concerned about me. Recently when I was cleaning things out I came across it and TRIED to read it. I was a different person then. It didn't even look like my handwriting! Only because after being admitted to the hospital I met Dr Lucas did I stayed with this group. Dr Lucas connected me with Mark. I've stayed with this group long enough to have weeded out the doctors I would not see. I will say though that if Mark L were to leave the group I might find another practice though unless I could get in with Dr Lucas but I don't think he takes any new patients. Over the years ive had wonderful experiences as well as bad ones with the staff and long/short wait times. That is part of life. Loretta, Dr Lucas and Mark's liaison is great. She always returns calls and tries to help. She is very competent IMO and must handle a tremendous amount of messaging and prescription refills and more! Give them a chance. This practice is large and does have its problems but they are good too. My suggestion would be that if all doesn't go like you prefer immediately stick with them, give them a chance and it will work out. If you don't care for the doctor or nurse practitioner you are given keep asking for another. I think this practice as with most has problems but is overall worth going too. Hope this helps.

Kathleen Brown

Never had a problem with the front desk, check in has always been smooth for the year I have been going there. Bradley Borsboom is a great and caring professional who has helped me tremendously improve my work through his treatment. Anytime I have called or emailed it had been responded to in a prompt and professional manner by any member of the staff. Highly recommend this office.

Kim McGrath

Follow up to my last post After Glenn humphress denied me my Ritalin which is a boost for my antidepressant., I pleaded with him that I was in distress, and by not giving it to me would give me my Zoloft wouldn't be effective. He asked me to get a letter from my primary care stating they felt comfortable with me being on a stimulant and they gave me the ok, but Glenn was too obsessed with my weight and his self preservation that he put my mental state at HUGE RISK that on January 18 I tried to commit suicide. I was in the hospital for 5 days, I didn't even regain consciousness until the 3rd day. If I had my Ritalin to boost my antidepressant this would've never happened! he is a menace to the psychiatry field and Will someday end up killing someone because of his narcissism!

Mark Lajsek is dry and pompous. He barely says two words to you during you appointment and doesn’t try to make any conversation. Avoid him at all costs.

Imperfectly Paige

These are some of the worst people you will ever encounter. All they care about is money and pushing pills. No real healing goes on in this office. They have no regard for the well being of their clients or the horrible side effects of the medications they prescribe. Many of the employees are also rude and dishonest. Avoid this place at all costs. Feel free to say I’m hurting people’s mental health telling them to avoid you because the truth is I’m doing them a favor. If you want to add terrible side effects to your already bad mental illness this is the place for you. If you want actual care go somewhere else. This practice should be ashamed of themselves.

Gideon Khisa

My 12 year son who has suffered with servere adhd /mood dysregulation/odd related symptoms first started seeing one of the nurse practitioners about 2 years ago.His condition was very debilitating that school was no longer an option because of the disruptive behaviors .out of desperation We decided to get him a psychiatrist evaluation and Mr Graham accepted to see him and he was God sent to us.He patiently reviewed my sons case and suggested we try a different medication because the psychostimulants were causing him more harm than good and were not effective.it was a miracle! His management of my sons condition has turned him around and even though he has meltdowns once in a while ,my son is doing so much better and I thank Mr graham for the personal interest and dedication in trying to figure out my sons problem and help him .he approached our case with great compassion and makes us feel appreciated and we appreciate everything that he has done for our son .Highly recommend Mr graham psych NP .

The provider I see is very attentive. Sure, I may have to wait longer than I want to... BUT when i get into the room, I am not rushed, I am not pushed off, I am listened to, and cared for like they are on time. All of the medical assistants I have talked to have all been very knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I email, I get an email back within minutes, I call, I get a call back the same day. The care I get is top notch!! Highly recommended!

lauren hartman

wasn't told i was getting a urine test instead i was bombarded with a woman handing me a cup to pee and and somewhat pushed into signing two papers i haven't read and hurried into the bathroom to pee in the cup. i felt as if i was in trouble because i wasn't even given a reason why i was having to take this. after that i am definitely looking for a new psychiatrist office.

Dr. Lucas is amazing, he restored my faith in medicine. Now I see his N.P. Graves and he is just as wonderful. Top notch care. The staff is always very friendly. Unfortunately 1 1/2 hour waits are not uncommon. Options are to reschedule and take your chances another day or change providers who may have better wait time but that cannot be guaranteed. Its frustrating but I would not go anywhere else. If you can bare the wait time I highly recommend Family Psychiatry.

Dr Graves is by far the best doctor I’ve seen. Last year I had many surgeries in a four month span one being brain surgery. So I know what it’s like seeing doctors and good ones! He listens and understands what I’m going through. If your looking for a doctor here see him!

I'm seeing one of the nurse practitioners there personally. I actually really like him compared to all the other psychiatric doctors/nurses I have come into contact with. I never had to wait long. Maybe 10 minutes, but that easily breezed by because I had my phone handy. Scheduling was kind of weird. Everyone was basically booked. People here work hard and I think that their clients should really chill out and take a break because they're working as hard as they can. Don't hound them with bad reviews. Only problem was the fact that one of the rooms reeked of marijuana. Then again, that was one of the clients. Plus, the facility really is beautiful. Just taking a walk really helps calm the nerves. Especially when you start to feel anxious.

If it were possible to give this place negative 5 stars, I would. They don't care about their patients. It's nearly impossible to schedule your first appointment with them unless you have time to sit on the phone for 15 minutes waiting for your call to be answered, and after that be prepared to wait half an hour in the waiting room to be seen. If you get seen at all. They screwed up my appointment, setting it for a 15 minute slot instead of a 30 minute session so I was sent away, missing the last two hours of work - two hours I won't get paid for because of THEIR screw up. They run this place like a corporation, cold and uncaring, which is not something one should seek in a psychiatry facility.

Rachel Silver

I have been seeing a psychiatrist here for over a year now. I am very grateful for them and have come a long way from the state that I was in before. I would highly recommend this place. They have a LOT of patients and so sometimes it takes a bit to get to everyone but it's understandable to me. I'm not sure why there are so many complaints about that... People come from all over Houston to come to this place, I myself live about 45 minutes away but it's worth it for me.

I wanted to warn people who would waste time playing phone tag as a new patient. Their website states they take Tricare/Humana when they do not for anything relevant. Only for medication but not anything else. Which is odd as medication is picked up at any retail pharmacy. So I would see no need for them to cover medication only with Tricare/Humana. Alas..I wish they would update that on their website so we didn't waste time.

Love this Dr Bradley

Glenn changed my meds and for the first time in 30 years I feel like I'm 100%. It has literally changed my life. Jessi is always so helpful and kind, she makes sure my meds are always sent to the pharmacy wherever I'm working. Thanks guys!

I have been going to this clinic for over 5 years. Never had any problems with the doctor. She listens and is very compassionate with all the problems I have. Over a year ago my doctor there died of cancer. Met with another doctor and she is wonderful

I love this office and always make sure if we have a change in insurance that this practice accepts it. I would hate to change doctors for my daughter. I have never had any issues. Yes, there may be an occasional called back after the scheduled appointment time, but honestly that happens in most doctors offices. I have had to wait longer at the peditricians office because they do except walk-ins than i have ever had to wait here. Everyone one is human and occasionally runs behind, even doctors.

Cinna Bun

This place was pretty Ok. Front staff is very friendly and seemed to accommodate all needs. The reason for the three stars is because The particular psychiatrist that I was seeing always rushed our visits although she was always late seeing my son. She was very distant, never really came near my son. Would always verbally observe him and issue meds. Sorry lady that didn’t make me feel very welcome.

As a 40 year resident of The Woodlands, I feel duty-bound to reiterate what many others have expressed. Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands truly should be investigated and removed from our community and prohibited from reorganizing in any other. Let it be understood, FPTW is primarily operated by remarkably unqualified personnel - not doctors. Of approximately 12 "practitioners", only two are Medical Doctors. If you don't believe me, check them out for yourself - I highly discourage you from spending money with them, however. Most importantly, my prayer is that you choose to place the well-being of your mental health elsewhere.

DONNA MESSENGER

Alot of bad reviews but I can not agree with them. I have taken both of my kids several times and never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Maybe, it depends on which doctor you see. I do agree that scheduling an appointment or getting a prescription refill is very impersonal. They prefer you leave them an email via their website and they call you back. The problem with this is that it works for their convenience but not the patients. My biggest complaint is finding their office. Since it is in the Woodlands, it is hidden by the trees and the signs are not adequate at all. Very frustrating. I almost always get lost even with my GPS. That being said, I have found the care to be wonderful.

My girlfriend comes to this place, once every three months, and mind you, if you’re gonna come here, cancel any plans you have for the next hour or so; because you will be here A WHILE! An appointment is useless. They might as well have “walk ins welcomed”, because that is how backed up things are here! Especially to see Glenn Humphress! He over-books his clients. The wait time is ridiculous! & no one has an effort or any ambition to apologize for your wait.! My girlfriends appointment was at 11:45! Mind you, I am still here at 12:28 behind 2 other clients, waiting to be called! God knows if you reschedule, you still have to pay their ridiculous and over-priced PRICES; only to see the guy for NOT EVEN 5 minutes! I’ve had to cancel other appointments I’ve had lined up for my day because that is how long we’ve been waiting to see Glenn! I am highly disappointed & upset!

Google Google

Pretty awful. Reaching anyone there is difficult to impossible. And don't ever count on a call back to a message you may have left - regardless of the importance of the message. I've often wondered whether the situation was due to incompetence, or if they are simply understaffed. Sadly, I believe it to be both. You cannot operate a professional medical practice in the manner in which they run this facility. I think they are surviving only due to the population growth here and the abundance of patients in this market.

I’ve been a patient at Family Psychiatry for just about three years and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone seeking psychiatric treatment. They have an extremely wide range of treatment options and resources, as well as a knowledgeable and dedicated staff of doctors, counselors and technicians. They’re extremely accommodating and flexible with their scheduling, and go above and beyond to ensure that patients receive the best possible care psychiatric medicine can provide.

Be prepared to wait at least an hour and a half to be seen. This place is trash. First you will wait for several hours to be seen because of overbookings. Its all about the money, not client care. Secondly, there are more nurses there than doctors. Both nurses that i had made statements that were completely false about the meds they prescribe. One of them told me wellbutrin was not stimulating. Ha! Why dont you pop one and see for yourself buddy? The other one told me being lethargic and sleepy all of the time from the medication is normal and there is no other way to treat anxiety. I ended up finding a new place and got proper treatment. Now i feel great.

I have been a patient of FPOTW for several years nows. I normally just see the PA's there but, they are always so professional and compassionate. I am seeing Brad right now and I think he is the best one for me yet! He always gets me in on time of my appointment...no more waiting for HOURS!! The support staff are always friendly & have always strived to get my requests completed as soon as possible!! Through the years, I have seen so many RUDE people to the front desk...they ARE truly appreciated!! Jamie B

I have personally liked each person I have dealt with, but I have to say that the scheduling is a nightmare. It should be a simple thing to call a professional office, and have the phone picked up by a live person who is able to schedule an appointment with whomever you need to see, or can take a request for prescription refill and let you know when it will be available. I have three children with ADD, which means that they all need to be seen every 90 days, and I need to pick up refill prescriptions, in person, every 30 days. I call to set an appointment when I am at my desk and have my calendar in front of me, but all I get to do is leave a message. I know it cannot be deliberate, but I swear the personnel have a gift for returning the call two days later when I am driving in heavy traffic and cannot possibly get to my calendar, or even safely grab a pen. Then I am left choosing between setting an appointment which I cannot write down, and I have no idea if I can get off work that day, or spinning the roulette wheel another time and calling again to set an appointment, to hear back two days later, in the wild hopes that they might actually call when I am between my own appointments and can personally answer their call and see my calendar. And after all that YOU, better not need to reschedule the appointment, because, guaranteed, no one will pick up when you call to do so. If you leave a message saying you need to reschedule, they won't get back to you in time, and you will be charged a cancellation fee, which is not covered by insurance. You need to cancel the appointment clearly, at least two days early, and then hang up. Then, call back and leave a separate message requesting a new appointment. And you can definitely not call and say that you have been held up downtown, could your child still be seen if you come in late, because, of course, no one will answer the phone when you call, and they probably will not listen to your message for a day or two. New patient appointments are even worse. The only reason I can think of why anyone survives the new patient appointment process is that pediatric psychiatric care is in such terribly short supply. As I said, I have liked each nurse practitioner I have met with, but I would change in a heartbeat to someone I liked less if they had the ability to hire staff who could reliably pick up the telephone when I call and competently set an appointment.

My family has been a patient of FPOTW for several months now and this is our experience: General: front desk staff - very nice! even when their computer system was done and all had to be done by hand, they were just as friendly and warm and thorough. The décor is minimal which shows they try to make the atmosphere safe as possible. It's never packed - they get everyone in their appts asap. In this line of work, it's very normal to be off schedule, have emergencies come up, and that means they give their best to every patient - and if that means I have to wait an hour, or two, I do - patiently. Because someday I need that extra time, I know I'm at a place where they care more about well-being than being on time - that's priority in this business. Staff: Bevin and Jessi - You both are rockstars! I cannot tell you how much it reassures me that any concern I have, I can email you, be heard and "listened" to, and whatever concerned me receive an answer most times same day within an hour or two - at most! Really on top of your game, so so efficient, fast, accurate, and you make me feel like our problems are important to you. Glenn Humphress: Glenn is also absolutely wonderful! He is a straight-shooter, and he tells me every option I have available, and tells me what he feels may work. He is so skilled and knowledgeable, which makes me feel at peace. He also listens to me - every word, and he's been right on target every time. He spends real time with me, asking questions and I never felt rushed, or the appointment end with any lingering unanswered questions at all. That is super important to me too. I have also given his name to several people too and told them they have to go see him - he is the best! Aveleigh Cook: I have only seen Aveleigh twice I believe (my husband has taken our son in the other two times), but she is very observant, asks whatever questions she needs to help her determine what the best course of action is for our son. Everything she has suggested, and even one major thing that she approved we try with our son when the crashing from his medication was too much for him to bear - the improvement was immediate! - and I can't say how important that is to me! II emailed in and sent supporting info so she could see exactly what I was talking about, and working with me on my son's dosage. He improved completely - immediately! She is wonderful and I feel 100 percent she has his best interest at heart, and that gives this mom total peace and confidence in her being his psychiatrist. I am very grateful with everything and everyone at Family Psychiatry of the Woodlands, and plan to keep going to them for years to come!

I’ve been a punctual patient of Family Psychiatry of the Woodlands for two years. I was 11 minutes late to an appointment due to unforeseen circumstances (a bad accident on the hwy). Upon my arrival, the receptionist told me Michael Graves had left for the day and wasn’t able to see me, despite my arrival time being within my 15 minute appointment window. I was turned away for being 11 minutes late.... My previous appointment started 1 hour & 10 minutes later than my scheduled time, when I was on-time! My appointment before that lovely experience, started 48 minutes late.... again, I was on-time! In fact, in two years I hadn’t run late. I requested a response from Michael Graves on a couple of instances by a female and male receptionist there with no avail. I sent an email with my concerns to their “Patient Liaision” Andi Harrison and didn’t receive a response from Micheal. 5 days later, I sent a follow-up email, and Andi responds. I was pretty much “informed” how medical practices work with late patients and was asked if I wanted to come back in. At no point did the practice take any sort of ownership for turning a loyal patient away for being 11 minutes late. I know how medical practices work, I work in the medical field. I have yet to see a patient being turned away for being less than 15 minutes late UNLESS the patient had a history with punctuality issues. I just received a bill from Family Psychiatry of the Woodlands due to being a “No Show”. I’ve read countless negative reviews of this practice and have seen the same instances of: being billed as a “No Show” despite being turned away, awful customer experiences, rude receptionists, lack of professionalism, etc. Is this type of billing a best practice or due to a lack of training? I do know it’s fraudulent. Train your employees! Do not waste your time with this place, find a respectable and professional psychiatric practice elsewhere. I wish I had the option to give a 0/5.

Always been helpful and responsive, they’ve had a few bumps along the way with updating their patient portal online and the like but that’s forgivable. Overall they’ve really helped me and my experience has been positive.

Kristy Schroeder

I see Mark L. and he’s a very good guy. He’s very personable, understanding, empathetic and just a caring person overall. He truly cares about his patients and their well-being. By far this is the best clinic I have ever been to for psychiatric needs. The staff is wonderful at the front as well!

J M

My experience at Woodlands Physc has been very helpful. The staff has been professional and courtliest. I have been a patient of Dr. Glenn Humphress for over a year. Dr. Glenn has been very helpful in my treatment, his direct approach has been instrumental in resolving several of my concerns. I also would like to mention that per his recommendation, guidance and assistance I was able to quit smoking after twenty plus years.

I just created a google account so I could comment. By reading some of the comments I feel like I'm going to a different place. I never wait more than 10 minutes. Often I'm seen as soon as I check in. I'm asked a bunch of questions by the psychiatrist PA, she's so great. She listens more than required; I mean since it's not a counseling session. I always feel important. I call all the time bc I'm paranoid I'm going to miss my appointment. No one seems annoyed that I can't get it together and remember when my appointment is. I only have great things to say about this place. Some people do yell at the people doing their jobs in there. To be honest it's over outrageous things. And everyone that comes in does have some mental opportunities, let's be real honest about that. But if you need any help with meds, this is the place you want to go. Let them help you. They want to help. And don't yell. And don't forget if wait times are long it's because someone needed extra help. That might be you one day so give them a little grace. I have never waited long but to the commenters that say they have. It's 3:30 am if this rambles that's why. Take care!

Diamond Dusang

The staff is wonderful and my Doctor is great as well, they even work with your schedule. I highly recommend this office.

I have been going to Family Psychiatry of the Woodlands now for quite a few years. Glen was my first psychiatrist there and he truly changed my life for the better until the very day that he left. I now see Stacey Sullivan. She is probably my favorite psychiatrist at the office because of so many things. When you go into her office, you know that she is really there to help and that you will be well taken care of. She is a very intelligent woman and I know that I can trust her opinions and medical advice with my whole being. The staff is VERY friendly and accommodating which makes every visit so much more pleasant. All in all, I would recommend Family Psychiatry of the Woodlands to anyone who asks if I know a psychiatrist. Thank-you FPTW for everything y'all do!

Shelli Nunciato

Lots of counselors and patients, so they run behind sometimes. Generally nice people at the front desk. Need an appointment.

Craig kegerreis

Seeing to it that critical refill requests are tended to before a long weekend or holiday is not a priority Best to be one step ahead and get them to refill before an unexpected office closure

Crystal Brown-Quintero

Dr Lucas is a wonderful psychiatrist but I usually see his PA, Mark Lejsek. Mark is very affable. I'm very happy with the whole atmosphere of the office and the employee's. I would

Customer Service?? My mail-in order pharmacy contacted me because of a problem with the written prescription that my dr. wrote, and I mailed in. They said they needed to talk to my doctor about it. So, I e-mailed my dr. on Friday, because I was told e-mailing was the best way to contact this office. My e-mail was never responded to. Then it was the weekend, so there was I thought there was nothing I could do. On Monday, the day that my I took my last pill, I called the office 5 times, left 4 messages, and the 5th time the phone just rang and rang. I was never contacted by phone. So today, Tuesday, I drove up to the office. I explained my problem to the receptionist, and she said she would see what she could do. There happened to be a lady in the room with the receptionist, and she went over to her and talked to her a little bit. This lady just happened to be the patient liason for MY doctor! She is the one who answers phone messages for the doctor. I heard her tell the receptionist that my problem had been taken care of. I was shocked and I told the receptionist that I was never told my problem had been taken care of. The liason said that my mail order company just had a simple question about the provider, and she took care of it. I was never informed of this in any way, until I was in person at the doctor's office. Remember that I had e-mailed on Friday, and called 5 times on Monday. I asked to speak to the liason. I asked why my e-mail and 4 phone messages were never returned. She said, "we have so many patients calling that we can't possibly answer all the messages", or something very similar to that. She said she was not in the office Friday, so that's why my e-mail from Friday was not answered. I said that I could not believe that an important e-mail and 4 important phone messages about running out of medication that I need were not answered. She did apologize and said she would send a 30-day supply to my pharmacist, but again said, "we have so many patients, and we just can't return every phone call." I am wondering if they really care about their patients, who have very serious medical problems. You can't just stop taking certain pills because there can be serious side effects from stopping cold turkey. A side effect of the medication I am taking and the one I ran out of was a higher risk of seizures! Would they have cared if I had a seizure while driving to their office to figure out why they didn't respond to my 5 contacts with them about their problem writing the prescription and crashed and was injured or worse, or hurt some other people? Not sure.....

Jen B

Wonderful office! My husband, daughter, and I have been with this practice since 2016. Friendly staff and we love the doctor. He always takes time to really listen and customize our needs.

Sydney Beauregard

I wouldn't recommend anyone come here. A family member was forced into a psychiatric hospital by a nurse practitioner. VERY SCARY PLACE!

daf3625 1

I had a terrible experience here. I was told I would see a Dr and instead I saw a nurse practitioner named Aveleigh Cook. She was abrasive, emotionless, expressionless, uncompasionate, uninterested and unconcerned. I feel worse after seeing her than I did before. She didn’t provide me a prognosis or give me an expected treatment outcome. She just typed away on her computer while asking me questions in a tone reminiscent of a Ben Stein clear eyes commercial. This is a job for her, nothing else, and it shows. This is not the kind of person someone in emotional or mental distress should ever have to endure for an hour. I had the overwhelming urge to walk out in the first 5 minutes and I should have trusted my instincts. How is she able to practice in the Woodlands? I would have thought that the client base here would demand a higher standard of care. I can help others avoid her, other than that, no good came of my visit here. As you can see by their cut and pasted generic responses, they don’t actually care about or truly listen to what is said in these reviews.

Sherri Machicek

I seen dr lucas but now i see bradley his nurse practiontioner and my meds are helping me that they have me on.

Ruth Thompson

Dr. Bell has been good and has connected to my son. However, the front staff and the scheduling department are absolutely the worst I have ever seen in any doctors office. You have to book 2 to 3 months in advance to be able to ensure that you can see the appropriate person and now for the third time after scheduling appointments months in advance we are again being told that we have to reschedule because they messed up and double booked and that he doesn’t have any appointments available that month and having to schedule out three months later. Meaning, the counseling sessions my son is suppose to have every 2 weeks, will AGAIN have to what 2 months before being able to see Dr Bell again. And as we were rescheduling those appointments, the scheduler cancelled another appointment that she should never have touched. This is not appropriate care of a patient and it shows that their staff has absolutely 100% no care for the individuals that Dr. Bell or any of the other practitioners see. I would not recommend this practice to anyone and I would definitely explain why.

kermit .

It's absolutely worth improvement and self-reflection when your lobby has 15-20 patients, all of whom have been waiting more than an hour for their doctors, upset and complaining/commiserating out loud (purposefully so that staff should hear) amongst each other about the ridiculous grievances your practice causes them. If none of you present today noticed the obviously very upset, very numerous, and very vocal patients in the lobby, I don't know what to say. You'll lose business of course, but I don't think that's something you particularly care about, which is the disappointing part. I should hope that anyone at Family Psychiatry of The Woodlands believes the practice should aspire to be better, and wants to take an active effort to achieve that. Do not attempt to respond to me saying my "negative review" may turn away people from your facility (and honestly, good for them). Do not say that my words may deter them from "getting the help they need" when your facility actively harms and undermines the care of the patients it already is accountable for. Swallow your words and be responsible.

Eric Barkmann

Overbooked appointments, Unprofessional front office, Callous staff, Awkward lobby design, Poor management, and now they don’t even accept Major health insurance carriers.

David Clark

Dr. Lucas is amazing and really cares about his patients. His nurse liaisons are also great and take time to help you. The wait is usually less than 30 minutes which is awesome for any doctors office!

Lianne Walsh

Thank you so much to Glenn Humphress, for going above and beyond for me. Being cool and listening. Thank you Bevin and Jesse!!

Diane H

Working with Glenn Humphress has been a true blessing to our family. His goal has always been to ensure we are feeling the best we can through all that life throws at us while coping with mental health issues. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Over the years, he has been very accommodating, flexible, and easy to reach, although sometimes the wait for a scheduled appointment can be long. We highly recommend Glenn and his professional assistant.

April Thompson

I have been a patient here for 1.5 years and I feel very well cared for. I am able to reach someone via phone or email for issues other than appointments on the same day. They are a busy clinic but manage it very well and seem extremely organized.

Darleen Monahan

Omg! Don’t go there! I seen Mark lejsek he was the worst Nuse practitioner I ever seen in all my years of going to see psychiatrists! He told me quote “ the Patient does not have a say in there Treatment I’m the Doctor there the patient “! That’s terrible!! I have bipolar and other stuff he wanted to change all my medications that I been on all for 15 years because HE didn’t like the way they Looked??? A doctor and a patient need to work together and negotiate treatment.. not just one way! If u find a doctor like this run!! You are important!! And you have a choice in treatment! You don’t have to take what they tell you! It’s not the way it works I promise... go to a A Psychiatrist and they will tell you this! That’s why half the world is not on meds.. is because the Doctor and Patient don’t work as a Team I will never go back!

Ian

Guys, I really like Cook and Leann. I am still new to the facility but you have helped me tremendously. It's saddening to see such negatives reviews for you. I can tell you and just a word of advice, please work on your inner office ladies. Each one I ran into seemed a little disgruntled. You need to preach positivity within your organization as that is what your clients are looking for in their lives as well as need. I think it would be a shame to waste such talent due to a couple bad apples. Everyone has their days, but seeing these reviews it may be time for a personnel change. Good luck and thank you all.

Casey Simmons

If I could give less than one star, I would. First thing is first, this place is full of psychiatrist assistants. NOT DOCTORS. They are not psychiatrists. I came here in hopes to eventually see the psychiatrist, Dr. Lucus. Who they promised me I would see after going to the PA for a bit to get my foot in the door. After 3 years of going, I asked when can I actually see the doctor, they told me he doesn’t even accept new patients. Glenn Humpress (the PA i was seeing) proscribed me with multiple different medications he shouldn’t have. This place hands out medicine and they don’t even know themselves what it does or the harmful affects from it. Save yourself a trip and do not go here for psychological needs.

Melanie Gore

Service is fine once you get in with the doctor. Wait is REDICULOUS!! An hour late for appointments is unacceptable. Especially without an apology. If I were that late, they'd charge a cancellation fee and make it nearly impossible to get another one.

Melissa Boland

I should have read the reviews on Aveleigh Cook NP before visiting this location. I tried to call back to explain my experience, sent emails to the office manager, and then even called back and asked to speak with the owner Dr. Lucas. I was told he doesn’t take calls. Wow!! The owner of a faculty doesn’t take calls about complaints regarding services rendered at his facility? Really?? Something very wrong about this. I’m sure I will get the same copy and pasted response as everyone else regarding their negative reviews of this place. Do your research. Go somewhere else. If you want help, or answers this is not the place for that.

BL

My favorite Nurse practitioner left the facility several months ago to work with one of the psychiatrist at the hospital. Since that time I’ve been seeing another nurse practitioner I believe. Granted, I need to be on medication because it does affect me. I don’t mind waiting a little bit, but when it gets to be over an hour that is uncalled for. I do like that the therapist does take their time with you and they don’t rush you through a session. That’s why wait times are longer. I do give them credit for that. Some people need to talk. I think it’s kind of hard for the therapist to just butt right in and say your time is up! I certainly wouldn’t like that!

Stephanie Stuart

I took a personal day off from work for my appointment which was today at 2:45pm.. I got a voicemail yesterday stating Dr. Bell had an emergency and I needed to reschedule. Ok. Fine. We all have stuff that comes up. I completely understand that. So I call back and try to reschedule.... No answer. At all. I called back about 10 minutes later and still no answer... I left a VM like they ask you to. No call back. This morning I call and I finally get an operator but she was unable to help me because everyone in scheduling was on the phone. Anyways, they called back a few hours later and told me I couldn't see someone else and I would have to wait ANOTHER MONTH to see the doctor. Your kidding me right?! The scheduler was so unhelpful and down right rude. You could tell in her voice she wasn't concerned that I was upset and didn't care to find another solution. So ridiculous. I don't understand why in the heck I should have to wait another month after I've already waited a month to see the doctor.. Oh well.

Michelle Suttles

Apparently the office manager Shenoa rather scam me out of 100 not address this situation and 8 days later no response knowing I am waiting so I can make appointment been off meds now for exactly 7 days told her that I would run out and still no response pretty sad you rather loose a patient every month over 100. I got the worst attitude and she canceled my appointment til this was resolved still not resolved. Well I think I get that my business is not valuable here

Shannon Hardy

I have been waiting for my first appointment for 40 mins now. We were scheduled for an 10am appointment. This is unacceptable! And of course no one knows when the doc will be available. Perfect!!!

Mlisa C

Phone operators are rude. Wait times are very long. I didn’t feel Brian really cared when I spoke he just listened and prescribed meds. Switched to another provider and hoping that works out

Jessica Johnson

I have been an actual patient for several years now and have been impressed with every aspect of this practice, especially with Glenn Humphress and his patient liaison Jessi. Several reviews on here simply do not belong because they are not from patients. I hope that people who read through those will give them the consideration they truly deserve, which is none at all. I never have to wait for an appointment, rescheduling is a breeze, emails are answered the same day 95% of the time, and my questions and concerns are answered in a respectful and compassionate manner. Some doctors are dismissive of their patient’s feelings because they hold fancy degrees and can make us feel stupid for even asking questions. Not once have I ever felt that way. After each appointment, I leave with a renewed sense of hope and accomplishment and eager to see what the future brings for me. I just drove 4 hours for my last appointment and I will continue to drive any distance necessary, because the level of care I receive is well worth it.

I have been going to Glenn Humphreys for almost 2 years, and I was not able to enjoy a fulfilling life and enjoy my family because my mental shape was debilitating. I have been given a second chance. With their continual support, I am able to continue to strengthen my mind which has improved every aspect of my life drastically ! He and his colleagues have been so caring and they really genuinely care for your well-being and really want to make sure that you have a life that doesn't revolve around fear, worry, anxiety, sadness and guilt! Thank you all so much. My life is actually amazing Now!

PATHETIC. First of all, I had to wait almost a month and a half to even be seen as a new patient. When my appt date finally arrived I was told if I wanted to save time and that I should fill out the required paperwork before hand. I did. What a joke! I showed up to my appointment 20 minutes early as I was also told to do as well. An hour and 15 minutes later I was still waiting to see the Nurse Practioner. At this point, I had to leave because there wasn't anytime left due to other obligations that I had. Such a lack of respect of my time on The Woodlands of Psychiatry's part. Don't bother with this group, please pay attention to their ratings. They speak the truth.

Dr. Humphress has always listened to any issues I have going on and has decided the best course we need to take to make sure I am taken care of. I am very happy with my care and drive from Katy to the Woodlands to see him. The staff are great as well and always very nice!

Terrible service, doctors dont reallt seem to care, and painfully long wait times. They dont help, they just want your money, and will keep giving you reasons to come back.

I really like Family Psychiatry Of The Woodlands. I've been going there for about 3 years now. The staff has always been friendly towards me. I see Stacey Sullivan now and she is very punctual, listens to my concerns and has been very helpful. I use to go somewhere else and it's like night and day. I had to sit forever, like 30 minutes or more after my appointment, in a very crowded waiting room which made me very uncomfortable and frustrated. Not so here. Also, Loretta, whom I contact if I have any problems has always replied right back. I contact her online instead of calling which seems to be the preferred way if you are having any problems. You can find a short form in Call Back Requests online at their website. I've also always been able to get right through to scheduling. I personally recommend Family Psychiatry Of The Woodlands. I have to drive 35 minutes on a good day to get there but feel it's worth the drive. I have no complaints.

We've been coming to this office for several years now, we have never had a bad experience with the front desk staff and the only minor complain would be sometimes there is a longer wait but it's a doctor's office and appointments don't always go as planned so it happens. The office is nice and clean and the individual rooms where you see NPs or doctors are very inviting and comfortable.

Family Psychiatry of the Woodlands is a jewel of the Healthcare System nestled in the beautiful area of Woodlands Texas. The team of doctors therapists nurse practitioners and support staff that takes care of their patients with the utmost diligence is world class in their mission to provide the best possible care to their patients.

Long wait times despite what time of day you make an appointment. The front office staff is polite on some days, vey rude and curt most of the time though. Be sure to review your receipts and know your insurance plan, they continued charging me even when I had a large credit on my account. I only found out after calling the insurance and their outsourced business office. We had to argue with the EXTREMELY rude office manager who threatened to kick us out of the practice after we called several times trying to talk to her. She never would return our calls. It does often feel like it's all about the money. The PNP is kind and helpful so we continue to come for him.

I have been going to Family Psychiatry for a couple of years now, they are all very nice, i had a problem with one lady in scheduling a while back ago, i forget her name, but she was mean,EVERYONE ELSE IS SUPER NICE, ONE BAD APPLE CAN'T SPOIL THE BUNCH, THERE IS MORE GOOD THAN BAD, THAT IS FOR SURE.

I visited a nurse practitioner, it disgusted me. I told him that the medication that I was on was the only one that had ever worked as well, but that I was gaining weight rapidly. I asked him if he could add a certain drug that is used to prevent the weight gain from that class of drugs, and all he did was lecture me about my eating habits and essentially accused me of lying. I told him I was eating about half of the calories that I had been on my former medication, but I was gaining about 3 pounds a week. He just told me that I was eating wrong and told me to change drugs. I felt dismissed and demeaned. I will never visit this practice again.
