I was here in 2017 long to get it. Tho once you do it's not so bad you have groups and the more you do them you get points for a little store they have. Doctors are good. Spending time here really helped me.

Very unprofessional staff. Employee's here at the Psychiatric Center lie, gossip, instigate, harass each other, argue, fight and curse. The employee's are very snobby and disrespectful to one another, can get very heated at times, the tension in this place you could cut with a steak knife. Everyone there acts as if they absolutely hate their jobs. They will fake and act accordingly when necessary but they do not show any happiness working in this facility. The higher up, the worse the attitudes get. The higher up, the higher the power trips. This place needs more love and respect in it. As far as patient care, pretty amazing depending on who your caregiver is at the moment. Different doctors, different PNA's, different supervisors, DIFFERENT treatment period. Different attitudes and responses, pick and choose who to respect and favor, stick together and cover one another when need be type of facility. I am a previous overnight Admissions employee (11:00-7:00 A.M)

My son was admitted to the hospital. I was informed by the Crisis center where he was observed for 48 hours and a Doctor recommended in patient care program. I called and talked to Chris, a counselor for my son. I answered all his questions. I called the next day to check on him I was told by Chris that my son has not signed a consent form so he could not talk to me. He talked to me the day before without a consent form. Five days later he called me to tell me that they are discharging my son because a judge refused to give them authority to keep him against his will. Why are you talking to me now without a consent form? I asked to delay the discharge because I am catching a flight from Dallas to El Paso. Just delay the discharge from 8.00am to 1.30pm. The care team led by counselor Chris refused. We are from Dallas and do not have a family in El Paso. My son left home with Greyhound bus and ended up in Van Horn Texas. Through the help of the great police department and a rational judge who used good judgement, I was able to get my son to El Paso Emergence Health Network and from there was transferred to El Paso Psychiatric Center. Then, his treatment team led by counselor Chris who lacks judgement discharged my son to the street. He left me a message that there's no need for me to come to El Paso because they've discharged him. You gave him tokens to ride Greyhound, have you used Greyhound from El Paso to anywhere? Try it before you put some one in that bus. I tried it and I said to myself what a wicked decision. You lied about discharging him to a parent. Who's parent did you discharge my son to? Your discharge notes said to give him injection but did not state the date last injection was given , so how do you expect us to know or the follow up Doctor to know when to administer the next injection? Why did you give a depressed patient medication without taking the same medication prescribed by his Doctor before seeing you from him? Don't you know he will overdose from taking them both? Lastly, my son is precious to me. He is not just a number, he is my baby so I came to look for him. I did not take your wicked advise that said not to come. I looked for him through the streets of El Paso, found him and brought him home. I wish I have an option to give zero, because you do not deserve any star

i have just got sent off from this center the rules are not so to do so and when they restrain they hurt you and after you have a break down all staff has no liking to you cause you not normal.

my aunt is a veteran and unfortunately has been admitted here, she has often told me about the poor quality of treatment she experienced here. Its hard to determine whether its her mental state or is it fact...?? HOWEVER I know several people with similar stories so there has to be some truth to the accusations .....rumor has it that the hospital is under federal investigation...all i know is my aunt always has long "stays' here and they never make her "better" just sedate her......

I had a very bad experience there they made me wait 6 hours until I was able to see a doctor when they have only one patient and me after all this time he came out and told me that he was very hungry so he asked me if I would give him a 20 minute break and after all of that I tried to tell him how bad I was felling and then accuse me of soliciting a specific medication which is not true he is by his accent from India he kept talking that I was part of his family that he was going to take care me so in conclusion I will follow up on this because this pure negligence I don't see it any other way

I currently work here. I can attest to the fact, that, as employees, we are held to very high standards. Unethical behavior, rudeness, abuse, and disrespecting our patients will NOT be tolerated, on any level. Proper patient care, and respecting patient's rights, is their highest priority.

Brought to the back and locked in a room for over four hour before getting to see or talk to anyone. Not even a staff member. It's as if we were put there and forgotten about.

I believe this is the best mental health hospital in the area. I would be happy to send my family or friends here. It's not as "fancy" as some of the competition, but I believe the staff are happier and the patients are bette cared for.

Was here for 2 weeks in the adolescent unit. Nurses and techs were caring and supportive and they made me feel welcome and as best as they could. Doctors worked with you and created a treatment plan. Groups were fun. Food was kinda meh but the snacks made up for it. There was a wii and Xbox in the game room as well as a pool table. You could also have your own blankets if you weren't on restrictions so that's a plus
