I think that Dr Earthman is an excellent doctor. He is calm and dedicated wants to help you with all of your issues. He listens and made me feel comfortable. I am glad that I started seeing him. Seeing him and deciding for yourself is absolutely the way that you should go. He believes that there is more to getting well than just talking and medication. Your whole well-being plays a massive role in your mental health. Taking care of yourself, includes taking care of yourself. If you truly want to become the person you should be, this is the doctor for you. I am very happy and satisfied with seeing him. He is not a doctor that will give you medication because of what you believe is your diagnosis. He is the doctor that will help you and will do what is best for you.

Although I a please with the care I received from Dr Earthman, the back office is complementary unprofessional. I rescheduled an appointment and a year latter my card was charged with my knowledge or permission for a no show appointment. I had been to the office 5 times sense the missed appointment an no mention that I have an outstanding balance. The person at the office use rude and unprofessional and refused to consider my case.

I've been struggling with ADHD for over my whole life and he helped me find the right medications and tools to help me manage the problems that come with this disorder and get past some pretty heavy anxiety issues...I recommend him. I do wish he would spend a little more time to discuss things sometimes, but I understand that his schedule is packed...and right reason so, he's good.

At first I was hesitant after reviewing the reviews. I went to see him today, he is actually a great psychiatrist! He listened to me he explained everything! I would recommend him. He understood me, it wasn’t a 5 minute appointment it was 30 minutes. I’m glad that I chose him as my psychiatrist.

Don't waste your time, especially if you are a chronic pain patient. He specializes in addiction therapy and assumes you're an addict if on pain med's and your treatment will be limited. He does not listen to the patient, he's more of a do it my way rather than listening to what it is your needing. He prescribed me Cymbalta which I had an immediate bad reaction to but I continued to take it for two months because I trusted him when he said hang in there, it will work. I quit taking it four days before my two month appointment because of the severe side effects I had. Really bad depression, endless sleepiness, the dry mouth was so bad it burned the roof of my mouth for a week, I couldn't eat anything, irritability and total agitation. For anxiety medication, it was the worst I've ever experienced. I had originally asked for Diazapam for the anxiety which had worked for me years ago and I had taken a low dose. This was for a temporary situation as well, 3 to 4 months max for a hard time I'm enduring at the moment. When I told him why I quit taking the Cymbalta, he seemed a little peeved that I didn't ask him first, and pretty much said I am the only person on the planet to have had bad side affects from that medication. What worked the most was a dose a day of the Diazapam. But since I was a drug abuser in his eyes due to being on chronic pain meds, which I never abused by the way, he brought me down from 30 a month to ten for no reason. If he's prescribing 30 a month, shouldn't I be allowed to take 30 a month? And I was actually taking less than that. These kinds of doctos I've seen before, they're control freaks that only want to do it their way and not listen or learn about the patients history. Good luck if you decide to go to this guy and expect him to hear you out or bother to listen. 2nd worst doctor I've ever seen!

Terrible customer service- after filling out forms weeks ago to get a first time appointment- that's the only way you can! I didn't receive a call back for several weeks. When I did my Amy who later I find out is the office manager, never returned several calls, more weeks go by. The receptionist June knows nothing, after playing with pressing buttons she answered the phone and just wanted to put me in Amy's voicemail. I work for a doctor-- there is absolutely no reason a patient shouldn't be called back to at least acknowledge them within a 24-48 period. don't waste valuable time, find an office that cares.

Great Doctor!

Dr. was completely unprofessional. Paid $375 out of pocket for what amounted to a 10min session. Did not seem interested in my condition or problems.

The customer service is something that needs extreme work. Very rude will not allow me to call on behalf of my daughter who if he was a good Dr. Would understand her situation. They told me 48 hrs to call to reschedule but won't talk to me so they told my 19 year old 3 business days or they charge my card $285.00 for a missed appointment but they would see her sooner but not later. What a joke. Plus every time she goes literally she is in there 5 minutes and they charge me $150 dollars or whatever the office visit is. Mind you we were calling to reschedule and it took calling at least 4 times with my daughter leaving an vm as well as I so not to get charged the $285.00

Worst customer service experience i've ever had. The office manager was on vacation and no one was checking her voicemail. It took me 4 days to reach someone and that was only because I left a voicemail in another staff member's voicemail and on the doctor on day 4. I got a call back the next day from the doctor who told me the following: "My office manager is on vacation so if you could exercise patience someone will call you". He then proceed to hand up the phone. Not only was that rude but a complete waist of time! I would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

Nothing but the best care!!! I would still be a patient if I hadn't lost access to health insurance. He listens to you and has suggestions if you want to try a different approach than a bunch of medications. I prefer a more holistic and natural approach and only meds as needed and he was more than willing to work with me, which was such a relief after every other psychiatrist had tried to stuff me full of drugs until I was a zombie but Dr. Earthman heard me out and was very understanding and patient with me.

This doctor is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. They took over a week to call me after I applied as a new patient online. Then his secretary Amy left me a voice mail. I returned her call within the hour and I never heard back from her. Two WEEKS later I left a message for her again. She did not return my call. The next day I got another secretary on the phone. She said they require me to give them my credit card number BEFORE they will see me for the first time. I said that I wished to complain. Then Dr. Earthman got on the line, yelled at me over the phone, using profanity, would not allow me to say a word, and told me that he refused to see me because he said I "made his secretary cry." This is unacceptable for an ethical psychiatrist. I intend to complain to the state licensing board about this.

See all these negative reviews? There's a reason for that - he is interested in one thing and one thing only: your money. If you do decide to book an appointment with him, go to his website first and read over his office policies. One of them specifically states that he charges $75 to fill out FMLA paperwork. No exceptions. The first (psych eval - $350) visit went fine, I wasn't terribly impressed as he was not thorough and barely asked me about my medical history. We finished up in about 20 minutes and he sent me out the door with a new prescription. The second visit, I brought him my 4-page FMLA paperwork and asked him if we could fill it out together during the session ($150), so I wouldn't have to pay the additional $75 just for 10 minutes of paperwork. He was staunchly opposed and would not budge, making statements like "the policy is the policy", "I went to medical school", "I charge $500 per hour for contract work"....the list goes on. I continued to gently press him regarding the $75 fee and he continued to get more and more flustered and agitated, finally culminating with "if you don't like the way I run my business, I'll happily refund you the 150 'bucks' and you can see someone else". After he said this several times, I started to get the message - if I wasn't willing to pay his ridiculous fee, then he didn't want my business. So I left...walked out of the appointment early. I tried to call him later to file a complaint but he just had more lame excuses and said he had a "very important phone call" and couldn't speak with me further. The man is a complete buffoon and awfully predatory for someone who claims to be a mental health professional. I highly HIGHLY recommend seeking other psychiatrists. Unless you prefer to overpay an amateur.

I'm positive Dr. Earthman will help me "live" again. After my 20 year old son was murdered in his college apartment, life as I knew it stopped.

Dr. Earthman from my experience is a better than the average psychiatrist. He's very analytical and knows how to read someone's conditions quite well. The biggest benefit is that he's open to all sources of treatment, and is very knowledgeable in most of them. Giving him the ability to direct you to the right meds, counseling, and/or other treatments. I have Bi-Polar2 and ADHD, both have been very taxing on my life. I've been to over 10+ psychiatrists, and found Dr. Earthman to be the most sensible, knowledgeable and productive on choosing the right meds. My 4 stars would be 5 stars, but I've had issue's with his office manager, and his week long vacations. My meds ran out, and I know I'm partial to blame, but there was no backup to refilling my meds that keep me sane. Dr. Earthman was out on vacation, and had no backup plan what so ever. No other doctor, no forwarding voicemails, no office manager calling back, no vacation refills and my biggest annoyance was no notifications via email, text, or voicemail to inform all of his patients ahead of time that he was going to be out. Plus, his voicemail recording for the first 3 days was just that they weren't by the phones and would call back later. This to me is very unprofessional and not right. Now, I'm hoping they'll rework his practice by him getting a new office manager, notifying patients of when he'll be out, and implementing a better backup plan.

I'll remove my review when they return the $285 they stole from me.

Two stars because Julie is nice. He spent about 10 minutes with me the first time. 5 minutes every time after that. My insurance doesn’t cover mental health treatment of any kind. He continued to require me to come in every 3 months- when I’ve been on my same meds for several years -and he’s expensive. I changed to him in 2014, and I’ve regretted every minute of it. Finally left. (And he has Zero personality) not good with someone who is supposed to at least pretend to want to help. Never again. Adios
