DESCRIPTION

Here you will see all the information of people who are purchasing the services and products of Diana Collins Psychiatry (Psychiatrist) in Texas.

Right now this business receives a rating of 3.5 stars out of 5 and this rating is based on 6 reviews.

You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is quite high, and it is based on a more or less high of feddbacks, so the evaluation is rationally reliable, although it doesn't have a sufficient number of assessments to confer it total reliability.

As you know, we don't usually stop to write evaluations when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

This Psychiatrist is included in the category of Doctor.

Kind, patient and I was actually able to get In touch with her immediately on a Saturday and Sunday with concerns. The office staff is also great. I've been to other doctors who were good but their office staff was horrible and apathetic. I happy I found this place.

I was under the care of this doctor for exactly ONE WEEK and A DAY! October 17: First day of Trintellix (10mg) with my usual dose of Cymbalta (60mg). Other than a bit of nausea and dizziness, I was fine. Next day, same thing. But by day three, I had serious vomiting/diarrhea and the dizziness was worse. Left work sick. October 19 - 22: Called the office and was instructed to discontinue meds until Monday. Later that day, I also discovered that I had food poisoning and was told that I'd feel better in 1-2 days. I called Dr. Collins' office to update the nursing staff and to let them know that the Trintellix WAS doing the job. I really did feel better mentally, but was just really sick in other ways! Restarted Trintellix/Cymbalta and the dizziness/nausea started again...not terrible...just "there". October 23 - 24: Continued Trintellix/Cymbalta and had the same symptoms. But again, by day three, I was worse! More vomiting and dizziness, but no diarrhea (because I had no food poisoning). At this point, I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue the medication. So, I called Dr. Collins' office and told them what I dealing with and asked that Dr. Collins call me back. Left work sick. I called Dr. Collins' office again, at 4:50pm and left my cell number as a SPECIFIC point of contact. Unfortunately, she didn't get the message and called my work. October 25th: Called the office again and made them aware that I was no longer willing to seek care from Dr. Collins. I was never offered an explanation for my symptoms or told how long they would last. And, my cell phone number was on the paper work I filled out at my initial appointment, why was it never dialed? The Trintellix did seem like it was helping, but, it wasn't worth the physical stuff I was going through. Dr. Collins called me back and reiterated info from previous messages. It seemed to me that when I called to update them about the food poisoning, because I didn't want them to think the Trintellix was the "whole" issue, it was communicated to her that things were going "Great". Even if they were, I still didn't receive a phone call from Dr. Collins to confirm that I was, indeed, doing great. Then, the conversation took an argumentative tone and ended with me hanging up on her. Dr. Collins has an after-hours line, where you can get emergency help, if you need it. They contact her right away and she consults with you on whatever your issue is. Thing is, when I called that number, I was connected with her nursing staff, who told me that she wasn't in yet, and they'd call me back once she got in. That was during the first episode of sickness. Bottom line is this: If/When you get word that your patients aren't doing well, for whatever reason, check-in with them. That's what I expected to happen on the 23rd/24th and it didn't. By the time I was really sick on the 24th, I wanted nothing to do with her practice. My apologies if this review is a bit long-winded. But, a previous patient remarked about the office staff and it gave me pause, but the review didn't provide enough detail. I wanted to avoid that in my own review. None of what I've said is untrue. It's just a VERY unfortunate incident.
