Eric and staff, Nurse Leah , and the rest the staff, thank you so much, you guys have saved my life. I am grateful for all the services that were provided. :)

Staff member Kenneth- I'm not sure of his position. I think he's either one of the assessment counselors or an in house psychologist....forgot to ask, but my goodness so knowledgeable & calm. This is the third time my daughter in -law needed treatment. Best experience I've ever had with an inpatient faculty. I am overwhelmed by the time he spent with us to explain things, I did not feel rushed or that he had somewhere else to be or saw us as another number . I left feeling very hopeful for her treatment and Highly recommend!

Carrollton Springs is an amazing facility. The staff are so kind and treat each patient with a level of care and respect that goes above and beyond what you would expect from a mental health facility. I was so scared going into inpatient treatment as it was my first time doing anything like this and I'm so grateful that I had my experience here. I never felt judged or disrespected while under their care. I would recommend everyone to come to Carrollton Springs if they are able to when seeking mental health and/or rehab treatment. This is a wonderful place!!

This was my first time seeking therapy and more intensive treatment for my depression and anxiety. The facility was wonderful, very clean and staff was always kind and understanding. I am leaving partial hospitalization today and I feel like a new person. Thank you so much Jessica and all other staff that was so helpful and kind to me.

I have battled depression most of my adult life and reached the point of realizing that I could no longer fight it alone. I was referred by my doctor after countless attempts of various medications to Carrollton Springs after recently being diagnosed. At first, I was reserved and felt like, "I don't need this kind of help." I was wrong. Immediately, I was welcomed and felt comfortable knowing there was a process in place that was not only easy to understand, but it was proven to be successful. Week one was difficult for me as I still had reservations and was guarded. My therapist, Ashley, quickly called me on it in the most positive, motivational way. Throughout the course of the week, I began to let me guard down and release all of the emotional baggage that was hindering my life and happiness. With daily sessions of group therapy, I began to trust and see things. I was not the only person struggling with life and depression. I heard stories and spoke to people with struggles so much further than my realm of comprehension and it gave me a new perspective on things. I left Carrollton Springs not only valuing and seeing myself as someone deserving of happiness, but I saw that everyone deserves that, too. The staff was incredible and involved in every step of the process. the doctors were available and were not just there because they had to be. Everyone listened, advised, and truly cared about each person's well-being, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Somehow, the staff knew me by name almost immediately and that alone, gave me a great sense of comfort. The staff from top to bottom seemed to have everything in order and were on the same page throughout the process. The facility was AMAZING about understanding that life is still happening for you, and there were times I could not be with my normal group in the mornings and without missing a beat, the staff arranged for me to attend a group at a later time. This was so important to me as I came here to get help and still got to take care of life. My therapist Ashley, deserves a paragraph of her own. Ashley is unlike any therapist I have worked with before. She was compassionate, relatable, smart, in-tune with each person of the group and how they felt that day, and constantly showed how much she cared for us. Ashley is incredible at finding ways to motivate you without being negative, pushy or forceful. She created an environment conducive to recovery and welcoming of any and all problems. I am not someone who openly shares information and talks about things as it is, especially my past, but it was easy with Ashley and the comfortable environment she created. Without Ashley, this program would not have been nearly as successful for me as it was.

I recently visited Carrollton springs for a mental evaluation, and the “doctor” that you see while in the evaluation is on an iPad so it’s just FaceTime . Anyways , Dr. Butler was by far the rudest, most unprofessional “doctor” I have ever dealt with . In any specialty. I was badgered by him and was interrupted Multiple times by this guy . Facility seems ok, but avoid Butler. He should be fired

The staff at Carrolton Springs is amazing. It makes the world of difference to your health and treatment with such a supportive staff. Everyone here is friendly, professional, personable, and obviously passionate about their jobs. My overall experience couldn't have been any better. If you're looking for a short term facility this one is great.

They picked up my dad at a hospital. He had a stroke and had aphasia. He was elderly and confused. They threw him down on the floor and injected him with something to subdue him. He ended up being labeled bipolar!!! He could not even speak. He ended up on a cornucopia of medicines to dull him. The system to treat the mentally ill in America is abhorrent. This person had a stroke and was not mentally ill. Please spend one day here to observe before admitting your loved one. Please don’t reply to my review with an apology. It’s too late.

I really want to thank the outpatient staff at Carrollton Springs. I was in the program for a month and a half and everyday I went there, they were all so friendly and caring. Monica is wonderful. She really helped me get the process started and made me feel comfortable. Kim the nurse was awesome; she would always talk to me about sports and things other than mental health. She made me feel like a normal person but when it came down to business she took care of everything I needed. I have to say something about Miss Joan: Without her, I would never be at group. Every single day she would give me a ride and we would talk about a lot of things mainly sports which was awesome but when I needed advice she would give it to me. Lastly, I want to thank my therapist Hannah. Without her I know I would not be where I am today and the way I am feeling today. She always asked the right questions, gave me sound advice, and really just knew what to say whenever I would bring up a problem or situation that I was currently dealing with. She helped me find the confidence in myself and taught me the coping skills I can use for any situation that may come up. In all my experience with Carrollton Springs and the outpatient program was wonderful and I would recommend anyone who is dealing with something and needs guidance to come here because I know if I ever need it, this is the only place I will come back to!

I"ve been to carrollton springs 9 times. Everytime ive been ive received the upmost best care that I've ever received at a detox/mental facility. The nurses, techs and patient advocates are there for you 24/7. I would always recommend this hospital over any other. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Jessica Kruse

I was very nervous about coming here, I checked myself in for severe depression. Right away the staff was very attentive and caring. I received excellent care from my Dr. and all of the staff. My stay here has been a turning point in my life and one of the best decisions I have ever made. I will be forever grateful for the caring people who work here and care for you during the hardest time in your life. Dr. Latif was the best Dr. I have ever had and I can not say enough good things about him. Thank you to everyone who works here and has helped and cared for me.

I was just a visitor but have had several family members in and out of facilities. I've never visited a family member so close to there admission day be so positive and have no real complaints. The only suggestion I would have is while waiting for visit a possible intake was there in the same lobby on public display with no one immediately available to speak to them. There is always a fear when entering a strange place I feel patient intake should have a separate entrance with privacy and proper a medical professional available. Other then that if you know someone in need this is an excellent option.

Matthew Ash

I've been in and out of hospitals since I was 16 and I'm 25 now...... this hospital has got to be the best one in the Metroplex and I've been to a lot.

Marissa Hall

I have been in treatment at Carrollton Springs for over a week and my stay has been excellent. The staff is amazing and always willing to help. They have provided the support I need to get sober and continue on to PHP. The food is pretty good and the housing is much better than other facilities. I highly recommend that if you need help, please check out Carrollton Springs to see if it is a good fit for you. I appreciate everything they have done for me and will never forget the experience.

Mark Mangarna

Cured my dias addiction. At it's worst, I was up to a case of dias a week. Was scoring them anywhere I could, On the Border, Taco Bueno, and when I was super desperate, I'd get them at Taco Bell.

I enjoyed my experience at Carrollton springs, but the follow up process with the payments, updating the balance information, and notifying corporate with up to date information on the account balances was very terrible and slow. Nothing was being done in a timely manner in order to ensure up-to-date information on account balances, especially from the finance director, Heidi. I was counting on Heidi to update corporate on my current account balance information, but just seemed very unreliable with doing so in a timely manner. Disappointed with the lack of urgency on reporting this information.

This is my second time here at Carrollton Springs, I have had amazing treatment here as of getting my medication right and figuring out a diagnosis.. Staff has become family to me and are always making things fun for us patients. only complaint the food wasn't the best but is tolerable and they supply plenty snack foods in between. I recommend this to anyone seeking help! if need to I would return.

Zachary Koontz

Life changing experience. The facility, the employees, the therapists and the doctors are of the highest possible caliber. Carrollton Springs Hospital is responsible for the most pivotal life changing experience of my existence. My therapist in PHP, Randy, has successfully identified the root causes of my issues and equipped me with valuable tools that foster and nurture life long change. I cannot recommend Randy and the staff at CSH enough. Five stars all around.

Robert Salin

Staff is very helpful and makes sure you are treated like you are a patient. The nurses are extremely helpful in explaining any medication that they are giving to you. Doctors are seen daily to ensure you are on track with your program and if they need to make any adjustments. You will enjoy your stay and even more so enjoy the results.

Brian Potter

I was in here a few years ago for detox/rehab. After about a week there I had a seizure. The doctors gave me lactalose since my ammonia levels were too high. This continued for a few days, then i had another seizure. They then decided to send me to the hospital, which they didn't pay for at all. The hospital treated me AND the flu I had picked up from this place. After about a year, I get a letter from them saying I owe them about $1600. I tried to find out why, but I got no answer. It then went to collections and I tried to dispute it, and they said the debt was valid and denied the claim. Terrible administrative staff. Did i mention we had no hot water for a day due to construction? Avoid this place.

patrick Mcnuelty

This hospital is the best hospital I have been at, if I hadn't come here I doubt I would be alive today. Damien, Eric Shirley , Brian and all the other staff were very helpful and understanding. I would advise anybody seeking help to come to Carrolton springs. I give it a 5/5.

Elise Engebretsen

I would best describe Carrollton Springs as life-changing. I was put inpatient after an attempt, and I had no idea what to expect. In the past, I had been to one other inpatient hospital- and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Because of that, I was extremely frightened coming into this hospital. The staff immediately made me feel better. I had a skin evaluation done by a staff member named Linda. She is very easy to talk to and I remember her bright pink lipstick! While there were a few incidents that could have been handled better, overall, I think highly of this place. (One incident in which I speak of involved sending two patients to a different unit after a fight- I believe there was some sort of miscommunication because they were sent to the same unit). Oh- and the medical doctor is pretty much a joke.. the nurses were so much better and did everything they could to help with my hypertension! The actual psychiatrists there don’t spend much time with the patients, and I had a few issues every now and then. But I understand that there are SO many patients to get to. So be sure to see medical doctors and psychiatrists outside of here! I was very lucky at the time that I went, because I got along with every other patient in my unit. The therapist in charge at the time that I went to group was (is) named Philip. He is INCREDIBLE. He managed to make the toughest of people break down and cry- when they definitely needed to. The other staff members, the techs, nurses, and so forth, did so many wonderful things for the patients. My entire unit was continuously writing “pickles” for the staff. (Pickles are written when a staff member exceeds expectations). The food is ...cafeteria food. I never had an issue with it. The ladies in charge of the cafeteria were great- a couple of them in particular, and sadly, I don’t remember their names. They accommodated my dietary issues! They actually have really good veggie patties!! I loved Lisa, Nicole, Lea(h?), Angelica, Linda, Keith, and so many other staff members- the fact that I can remember their names means they left quite the impression. (I am much better with faces!) I promise you that while I was there, the staff REALLY cared about the patients. They went above and beyond. Even when I participated in PHP and IOP the staff was wonderful. My therapists, David and Summer, were fantastic. I am constantly using the skills and advice that Summer gave to me. She is incredibly gifted at what she does. She is kind, caring, wise, and much more. I have the upmost appreciation for her. If you are ever in a situation where you find yourself in need of help- this is honestly the place to go. I have struggled with mental health issues for all of my life and I can finally say that things are looking up. I could have never got to this point if it were not for Carrollton Spring’s staff (and patients!). I am, and will always be thankful.

Megan Goss

Very excellent, helpful, and caring staff. Great medical care. I left feeling heard and satisfied.

austin ames

first thing i have to say about this place is phenomenal. From going through impatient to transferring to impatient the staff here took care of me emotionally and physically. The staff here is incredible and Carrollton Springs gave me my life back . If you ever think that there isnt a light at the end of the tunnel look no farther!! I would like to thank my two therapist Randy (outpatient) and Jessica(inpatient) They gave me the emotional support and tools to get out of a dark time.My Rn Kim(PHP) did a great job making sure i stayed on top of my medications and further health and gave me some of the best advice. Also to Dr.Khan thank you for sitting down with me and being a real person about my medical issues a lot of these doctors and nurses are hard to come by but they actually care about their patients and are all super down to earth. I could say a whole lot more, but i would probably run out of room ! Thank you Carrollton Springs for giving my life back :)

This place is a joke! Do NOT send your loved ones here. They hold you against your will, threaten you, lie, try to overmedicate you...the list goes on. First and foremost, know your rights! It’s all easily accessible information on line. They were telling her that her husband seemed controlling & that she didn’t have a good “support system”. Let me tell you, this girl had a team of people fighting daily for her as well as some of the right friends with professional resources who offered enormous amounts of help! Nurse L is a liar & manipulator. Same for therapist P. She was lied to & manipulated into rescinding her AMA. She was told a court order had been filed to hold her, LIE. There was information in her file that are complete lies. And this was all for a person that was smart enough to take herself to a hospital. It’s all about $$ for them especially if you have good insurance. They messed with the wrong people & we won! Released today after 3 agonizing days!! I love you BJ & will ALWAYS be in your corner! BTW...I’m choosing one star because zero is not an option!

Mandi McGinnis

I had the most positive experience at this facility. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is very clean and the atmosphere is positive. The help and care I received here was incredible. The therapists and doctors were top notch. I made great connections with others in house as well. I would highly recommend this place for anyone suffering with any mental health issues or addictions.

Jude Arney

This place is all about how much money they can get from you the people at the front desk are incompetent about their own policies. There is a clear lack of communication between doctors nurses and counselors. Doors are often left open when patients are having consultations. The intake process takes upward of six hours.they put put all the patients on new meds that make you exhausted and if you those don’t work you Have to stay longer. Also if you are in wheelchairthey will wheel you places without asking permission which legally is assault.

Jayla Hunter

This hospital was great. They helped me get back on my feet. I loved all the different groups they had including the workout and yoga groups.

Taylor Benson

I was very nervous at first about coming here. It was a change and I have an aversion to change. After the first day here though, I really enjoyed it. The counselors are very nice and always listen to you. Everyone you meet here in your program you form friendships with, so you really feel like you have a connection with the people you meet. It is not just show up for help and go home. You make friends with patients, staff, and really feel better about yourself in a way I feel, other places do not do so well. The building itself is very inviting, all bright and a very positive feeling plave to be. If you need counseling I would recommend this place highly.

Tyler Beisert

I struggle with extremely horrible depression and anxiety that keeps me from doing basic, normal things. I checked myself in at Carrollton Springs on a good day and it was one of the best decisions I've made. I'm not healed, but I now have the tools to battle this mess. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The therapists care. They take care of you so all you have to worry about is recovering. If I relapse into horrible depression again, I know where I am returning. They have your back.

Jordan Robinson

This was my second time at Carrollton Springs and I cannot recommend it enough to those who are in need of assistance. Amazing, caring staff, clean, safe facility, and amazing trained therapists and doctors. This place has truly changed my life for the better to where I can actually live my life. I would even recommend this place to my baby sister. consider this facility if you are seeking help.

Kl Blackman

I have worked here as a volunteer and the staff is wonderful. The therapy sessions are insightful and it was an eye opening experience. The facilities are clean and the entire staff is knowledgeable about patient care. I would love to work here.

Sydney Callender

I have been to SEVERAL inpatient psychiatric facilities and Carrollton Springs has actually given me the best treatment thus far. I would recommend this place to anyone who is seeking help for whatever it may be. Compared to all the places I have been to this place is incredible. An extra plus is they have cigarette smoke breaks and A LOT of hospitals now do not. Come to Carrollton Springs!

Kristen Batista

I stayed at this facility for a total of 10 days impatient and also did PHP as well. The staff at this facility are phenomenal and extremely caring. The groups are very beneficial and interactive. I loved my therapist Joyce.. She was kind and gentle and absolutely played a huge role in my recovery for my depression. I know mental health facilities can be scary however this facility is very welcoming and has a genuine end goal of you leaving a better you than you came in as. Would highly recommend for anyone searching to improve their mental health.

Charmante Taylor

I have to say so far my experience here was amazing. From the moment of my assessment on. The people here are patient and understanding. They really do care for you and and your mental health. Hannah is my therapist and she is absolutely amazing! She is more of a realist than I thought any therapist would be. She offers so much. From psych-education to everyday coping skills. I trust Hannah's method. I'm very glad I was referred here. If you are in need of some mental hygiene skills, please come to Carrollton Springs.

Nikkole Sherman

Carrollton Springs, Man if I had to pick one word it'd be amazing. I was in inpatient here and it really helped. My depression went from a 9 and wanting to die to a 2 and hopeful to live. This place has the best staff and will do anything to make you feel very comfortable and have a "close to home" feel. The staff is amazing and very friendly. The people you meet are people that impact your life forever, in a small or big way. This place definitely deserves 5 stars. I am so thankful for everyone at Carrollton Springs. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be here writing this comment.

Kaitlyn Baker

I have been admistted there twice and both times I was treated with respect and had outstanding care by all of the staff. I highly recommend choosing Carrollton Springs for inpatient care. They literally saved my life.

Rich Feenstra

They really don't seem to care to communicate to the family. They don't follow through with what we asked them. I would not send them anyone unless they were my arch enemy.

Travis Tye

Great mental health hospital. Probably the best one I've been to in Texas. Staff is wonderful and are there to cater to any need that comes up. As a former patient I would recommend this hospital to anyone seeking help with their mental illness and/or chemical dependency.

Catalina Chavez

The staff was amazing and i Had alot of help during my journey. I am very happy with everything that was done.

Michael Murphy

Carrollton Springs was one of the best experiences I've had, it may have saved my life. I wasn't willing to get the help I needed and they somehow managed to help me change my perspective on things. The staff is great, they'll do anything they can to help you progress and get you what you need. The facility itself is also very clean, bright and a good environment to get better in. I would recommend to anyone who is struggling with addiction or emotional challenges in their life. Shout out to Antonio. Thank you.

Callosyx

While therapist Julie; patient care attendant Demetrius; and nurse Lisa were wonderful and helped me greatly, the overall psychiatric care at Carrollton Springs is poor and the staff's lack of attention to troublesome situations disturbing. I was practically held hostage after I stated I wished to be discharged. Don't send your loved one here.

Maverick Morrison

I went their after a attempt of suicide in 2017. And the staff knows what they are doing. The doctor that I had was really great. And the medical team was brilliant. I told the nurse about a nightmare I had and she truly talked to me. The Cooks makes very delicious food. And very intelligent on cooking skills and nutrition. That the food to seem have plenty of. And the land scraper for the outside scenery makes it very calm and peaceful invermenit.(say for those who have ptsd) They do have a pastor that comes and offers Sermons. All in all I say you will come in a wreck but you will leave healthy.

Cooper Tye

Having been to other centers, I would definitely not recommend Carrollton Springs. When I first arrived, I was taken back for intake. After a couple of hours of filling out forms and talking to the staff, I was informed that there was no bed all of a sudden and I was turned away (in a time of need I may add). I unfortunately returned the next day, and this time was admitted. Most of the staff are pretty nice, but you aren't there to make friends with staff. You are supposed to see your doctor every day, and I saw mine twice during a week long stay. Also, groups are not mandatory. It felt more like a day care than a treatment center. Also, when given my exit survey, I was pulled to the side and told in a round about way that unless I gave them positive reviews that they would toss my survey because "people who give negative reviews are crabby by nature and skew results." I challenged this staff member on this, and he walked towards me (in what I took as an aggressive move) and raised his voice. I didn't find that professional. Also on the exit survey it asked what I thought of my therapist, and I had no idea who my therapist even was.

Carolin P

I would recommend anyone in DFW to seek treatment here- comfortable, safe, and clean. Amazing staff ( John, Eric, Candace...) and therapists. If I ever need help again, I would come back for sure :) ;)

Ashly Scott

I was in shell shock my first day here. I didn't think my drinking was that bad. When they recommended that I go inpatient for detox(I was drinking up to 8 beers a day), I didn't agree to it right away. I'm glad I did it though. The staff and doctors were wonderful! They helped me through my detox with medications and therapy. After I got out of inpatient, I was placed in a partial-hospitalization program, then an intensive outpatient program. My therapist, Deborah, is a God-send! She tells it to you like it is, no beating around the bush! I believe that is what all of us addicts/alcoholics need. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone struggling with alcoholism, addiction, anxiety, depression....all or just one or two of these conditions. I will always be in recovery, but I know I got great start on my journey by coming to Carrollton Springs!

rey garcia

Excellent housekeeping...clean professional appearance with facility inside and out. This is very important with any treatment facility. Staff seemed helpful and enjoying jobs. Staff seemed to want to help as much as possible despite difficult circumstances inherent in mental health environment. I would recommend facility for those clients and families that are needing mental health assistance and support.

Kayla Aaron

Don't come here if you don't have money to pay upfront. (Over 8,000 dollars) It doesn't say that anywhere that I've looked and I researched this place thoroughly before coming here. Now I'm being forced to stay here and be put in a really crappy hospital when I could have went to a local one that isn't as bad.

Ernie Matallana

My God what can I say! I was inpatient at Carrollton Springs back in March for 10 amazing God sent days! The staff, nurses, techs, and the Doctors were amazing! The cafeteria staff/food was also God sent to all of us who go to Carrollton Springs. Being in a business world I was most amaze of the CEO of Carrollton Spring stopping and talking to me. We had a very good conversation about business. He did not judge me at any time just kept encouraging me that I would get better! It's been a journey from hitting rock bottom, turning away from the Lord, and contemplating suicide to being a man of God once again, mental illness by using 80% behavior and 20% meds for treatment, and most of all not being ashamed to be an advocate of mental illness which is also like treating a person with high blood pressure. The last thing I want to commend Carrollton Springs is their Good Mood Foundation team! Once again, thanks to all of you today I am back in the business workforce happier than any other time in my life which has being long. May God Bless all of you, I love all of you and thank you for caring, giving me love, and most of all saving my life!! In Christ, Hernando

Bri

This hospital has helped me so much with everything. The staff is so sweet. I loved Errico, Brianna, Damien, Shirley, Deanna and alot others. Would recommend to someone else!

Rosie Ramirez

This place is a God sent. The staff is far most amazing and caring. They're very attentive to your needs. Thanks to all the RN's and PCA's all of you are great! To my Psychatrist and my Therapist thank you for your caring. Hope I never have to go inpatient again but if I do Carrollton Springs is where I want to be.

Elizabeth Schneider

As a nursing student completing clinicals, Carrollton Springs is a great facility that treats patients as individuals. The treatment plans are unique to each patient, which really helps the healing process. The nurses and staff are also extremely helpful. I highly recommend this facility!

Bailey Westmoreland

Carrollton Springs is a superior quality health care facility. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and attentive. I would not hesitate in coming here for treatment or bringing one of my loved ones here to receive medical attention. They are contributing to the community in sharing their expertise with future nurses as well. Thanks for giving back, Carrollton Springs !!

Kennedy Patton

I wish Phillip had a private practice because I would give him all of my money. Day staff in inpatient is good but the night staff js unempathetic, cruel, and make it very clear that they just want you to go to bed and not exist near them.

Andre Brown

My experience here was great! At first I did not want to come but after being here it is a great place to go if you are in need of help. The staff is kind and caters to your needs and if you are going through a tough time they will sit and listen to you and give you advice and tools to combat whatever you are going through. So i highly recommend this place to friends and family

Choco .

Please do not bring your loved one here for mental health help. They give contraindicated medication. They don’t give the medication at the correct times or the correct way (with food, on an empty stomach). Dr Khan doesn’t return phone calls. They keep people much longer than necessary and the techs actually confirm delusions to psychotic patients. Please for the mental well being of yourself or loved ones find another hospital.

Zach Porter

I have had a very great experience here! i have been her for 10 days now and i have had the best experience! very nice staff, and the nurses and techs really lookout for you. highly reccomend!

Leah Bosse

I cannot put in words how grateful I am for Carrollton Springs. During the darkest time of my life I had complete strangers show me the light. The staff is AMAZING. They are truly the most compassionate and genuine people who want to help you. I loved that they allowed GOD into our curriculum. Thank you all so much!

Gerald Smith

I , Gerald Ray Smith checked myself in at Carrollton Hospital in Carrollton Texas On Thursday March 8 , 2018 . I am discharging this evening at 5:00 PM . The entire staff has been very motivational , friendly and professional . May God Bless you all . Sincerely , Gerald Ray Smith

Cindy Scoggins

Great place, especially if food and smoke breaks sound enticing. I was admitted suicidal and discharged a cigarette smoker, 5 pounds heavier, but finally at peace with myself.

[FNS] FearNoStigma

Doing a bit of research on mental health facilities and I noticed something I feel others should be aware of... this facility has a large number of reviews, 4 times the rate of many of the other facilities so naturally I was curious. It would appear that most of the reviews were posted by individuals that were assisted by the facility and their posts use active or present tense language. It is possible they are a good facility, but its very likely that they are asking patients to post reviews. This is common practice in many other commercial fields but given who the customers are and what service they provide it would be pertinent to read them with a grain of salt. Repeated language and reoccurring themes of things you would only notice in the negative such as cleanliness, meaning you are far more likely to notice the lack of cleanliness than its presence. There also seems to be a pattern of responses to reviews, and though I made it through about half of them, the one star review with no response was telling only because of the large number of 5 star consistent responses. As a disclaimer, Ive never been to the facility and am simply pointing out the consistency of the reviews in the hopes that if anything is wrong there is a greater chance of people seeing it.

Jessica Waldrop

Great facility for crisis situations or for outpatient therapy programs. One of my first positive experiences with mental health treatment. The staff are all very proactive about educating you on how to get better if you really want to do the hard stuff that is required of you. Medication is only one part of the equation-the other half requires some really difficult self-observation and discipline to change. Highly recommend!

Rachel Elder

It’s a great place for rehab or mental health. Shoutout to the nurses Lea, Angelica, and Sara...and the techs Deanna, Rachel, and Phoedra for the awesome job they did taking care of me!!

Jennifer McCullough

If you need some help for emotional issues you're having then this is a terrific place to come to get the help you need. I felt that I was in great hands from the everyone on staff here. From the receptionist, doctors and my great therapist I had. You will receive the help you need and leave equipped with coping/life skills to help you moving forward in your life. I highly recommend this facility and their programs.

Carrollton Springs has been exceptional in their continual efforts of care, recovery, and post-care during my time here. I am grateful for the opportunity to have interacted with such talented professionals and thankful for each and every one of their efforts during my recovery. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is seeking care or help regarding mental health and rehabilitation. I can not put into words how grateful I am for this facility and staff members. Carrollton Springs has been a phenomenal experience I will cherish forever.

Sante Center for Healing

Carrollton Springs is an outstanding facility and we are honored to work alongside them. Looking forward to many years of partnership to come. Thank you for all you do!

carmen serrano

I highly recommend this facility for treatment care. The staff is caring and empathetic, the facility is safe and clean. Easy access to facility staff and upper management at all times.

Ariane MacDonell

My clinical experience has been very educational here. The staff is friendly and willing to answer students' questions. I can see why the patients here do so well in their journey toward recovery.

Laurie Rieger

This place was a God send for me. The nurses and techs truly care about you and your well being. My therapist helped me see things that no other therapist had in the past. I cannot thank Carrollton Springs enough. I have my life back! I highly recommend Carrollton Springs to anyone seeking help. I promise they will take excellent care of you.

RENEE LE

The treatment at Carrollton Springs has been wonderful! They have helped my brother through so many ups and down. He was inpatient then become an outpatient. The staff has been wonderful and caring, wow, I can see the change in him! Thank you, Carrollton Springs, for bringing my brother back to the way he was!

Brad Matocha

A very clean and well run facility. There is ample staff and the food is very good. You will feel safe and well taken care of.

Anonik Tep

An amazing experience for my mental health. Everyone here is so supportive and loving. It really feels like a second home here.

Karl Thomas

TREATMENT AND DETOX AT ITS BEST - Staff is encouraging great therapist , but the group sessions are the best.

Sabrina Tutt

Scheduled an assessment for 11:30, took off work to take an early and long lunch for the assessment and over an hour later I'm waiting just to get my belongings back because I still hadnt been seen and I've got a job to get back to. Now will have to take off more time from work to go elsewhere

Carol Buckler

I.would have given a better rating, but because of one very serious HIPAA violation I did not. I know there are strict guidelines on what an employee can and cannot talk about regarding my stay. I found out today that a House Supervisor discussed my case with a friend that dropped off my car. She told my friend, not even a family member, how many times I have been to Carrollton Springs and other information that is strictly prohibited to talk to ANYONE about. Now i am having to hire an attorney and proceed legally because of this and it has caused lots of repercussions. That individual is now repeating to others what that House Supervisor told her and it has snowballed. There is absolutely no good reason that a person in her position should have ever discussed my case history with ANYONE, especially someone who is not even a family member. There are laws against that and my attorney is well versed on the requirements that HIPPA has set forth to protect patient rights against ANY staff members discussing anything about a person's experience and or history while there. This is all privileged information that can only be discussed with medical professionals that are involved with my well being, not a friend, especially since I had told the House Supervisor that I had not known this person more than a month. The papers given at intake even have a form for patients to list anyone that they can discuss care or anything regarding a patient's treatment or history. I did not list this person or anyone else on any forms. I do not want this to happen to anyone else again, so I intend for my attorney to do whatever it takes to insure that happens. People who come there for help should NEVER have this happen, especially by a person, like a House Supervisor, who is the person making sure all nurses and techs follow those guidelines. I am very upset about this and understandably so. If it were up to me and at some point during this case it may be, I intend to make sure this person and Carrollton Springs never have this happen to another patient again, by what ever means possible. I am also going to contact Medicare and Tricare to see if there is any way they can be taken iff their providers list. There is no excuse for this to have ever happened. I would be more accepting of this from a Nurse or a Tech, but definitely not the person in charge!

Elliot Lyon

these friends helped me a lot! i was worried it would be too religious for me but you can choose not to have anything to do with the faith-based group. the food was pretty good, would recommend!

E.a Anon

I recently discharged from Outpatient Program. This was my first time seeking treatment and I was nervous at first but the amazing staff made the process easier. The whole process of my treatment from inpatient, PHP and IOP were amazing. Monica at the front desk of outpatient was so kind and sweet. And my therapists Ashley and Lindsay were amazing at creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Thank you Carrollton Springs!

Alec Zieff

I came in here in serious need of help and stability, and I recieved just that. The staff are very understanding and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Carrollton Springs.

Matt Hooker

Could not get accessed. Was told to be here at11, then 2:30 arrived and told to return at 6:30 and was giving names of other fatalities. Another hour wait being told that I've got to wait on the next shift..

David Price

Great place.

Debra DeMar

I would recommend this treatment center to my closest friends and enemies to anyone in need from a little guidance to deep mental, trauma, drug or alcohol assistance this is the place to come. You are treated like a person not a number. The techs, nurses, therapists, doctors, kitchen staff and all others treat you with dignity and caring hearts. Don’t get me wrong there are still rules to follow to help you and all others. You will get as much out of it as you put in to it every single phase every day- it’s about you and they assist you in seeing and realizing that. If you are out there alone, scared to take that step, having a panic attack right now, anything keeping you up reach out go to an intake visit at Carrollton springs you will be glad you did. It will be a little scary at first but it could just possibly save your life like it did mine! Thank you everyone at Carrollton Springs! In patient and PHP. I am hopeful for my future! Keep up the great work!!

Gabrielle Finch

Great staff, awesome facility, runs so smoothly and plenty of activities to keep you busy. You can move at your own pace you aren't locked out of your rooms. Plenty of cigarette breaks. Christ is allowed in there and the wisdom of God is evident in the way it runs so smoothly! I would highly recommend this place if you need inpatient treatment. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Awesome doctors and therapist.

Amanda Morton

I was just discharged yesterday from inpatient care in this facility. Aside from a few rule inconsistencies, and seemingly careless room and unit moves by upper management, my stay was wonderful. Fortunately I was not one moved, but I do think I need to address that upper management will move patients around units at will, and at the expense of other patients. However, the techs and nurses were fantastic. I was made aware during assessment that the stay was, on average, 9-11 days. The nurses were (with some exceptions) willing to answer questions about medications (thank you for answering me every time as I tried my hardest to remember which pill does what), and never forced me to take things like my sleeping meds right away. The psychiatrist and medical doctor visits are very short unless you take the initiative with more questions, but I do understand that they have to see a lot of patients in a short window, so I was not upset by this. I was very pleased to be given a pain medication for a chronic pain I've been having for years! Dr Khan switched up my depression medication and added some things to it, and everything has been going smooth so far. Most of the techs were super nice, friendly, and joked with us, treating us like humans and not like patients (but still having to take charge sometimes). I stayed in the Silver unit for my visit, which was a bit chilly, but overall a pretty comfortable experience. It's not hotel quality anything, and the food isn't the best, but it's better than that of a standard medical hospital by far. It was nice being in the only unit with free access to a vending machine (which requires $1 bills but sometimes refuses anything but quarters). They will require you to remove things like strings and underwire from your clothing, and there is a decent list of items which are not allowed during inpatient care (namely your cell phone and other electronics) that you'll be given during assessment. This is all for safety purposes so you cannot harm yourself or someone else, and so you cannot be injured by someone else (in, say, a psychotic episode (which is rare from my experience)). The group therapy helped me a ton, and allowed me to open up about my problems and get support from not only my therapist, but my peers as well. You are also taught coping mechanisms and other things that help you along with your treatment plan. Your entire day is planned out and structured, but personally I needed it and it's gotten me onto the path to a renewed sense of hope. Your experience may vary, but personally I think this place saved my life, and I begin PHP (Partial Hospitalization) on Monday.

Amy Pelser

Carrollton Springs is a great facility. The staff is very caring and wants nothing but the best for their patients. The programming provided is engaging and supportive. Everyone really comes together as a team to see the patients achieve their goals. It's really inspiring to see!

Peter H

My experience at Carrollton Springs is mixed. The clinician for the PHP program was exceptional (Daniel), however, once they get what they want from you (i.e. money from you as well as from your insurance provider), they no longer are helpful and responsive. I have left multiple messages about getting a prescription refilled that was supposedly going to be called in on my last day of PHP, well of course that didn't happen, they are no longer returning my calls, and it's like I was never a patient there. They sure are quick to call if you miss a session or if they need some information from you though, but don't expect them to hear back if you need something. Additionally, Cigna has faxed over requests for medical records multiple times, I confirmed that the fax number was correct, well according to Carrollton Springs, "they haven't received it." Baffling... I guess Cigna (a 40+ billion dollar company) must not know the proper way to go about requesting records. Long story short, good therapists, poor customer service, responsiveness, and follow through with doing what they said they would do. I run out of medication tomorrow so it should be a fun few days thanks to Carrollton Springs.

Brandon Nelson

Carrollton Springs is an excellent facility that has met all of my expectations, and more. The staff is friendly, and even more so accepting of all walks of life. No matter what you are struggling with, they will stand by you; and walk with you step by stp. I would highly recommend Carrollton Springs.

Stephanie Guzinsky

By far the best doctors and staff at Carrollton Springs in comparison to other facilities!! Compassionate and caring, they meet every need quickly and fairly.

Kendrick Sun

This hospital offers great services from doctors to therapists. The food is pretty good for a hospital but they definitely try and meet needs such as dietary and religious needs. They do a good job at trying to treat patients as well as they can no matter the need and are not surprised by any mental health issue or actions coming from that and are prepared for it as well.

Diane Moore

This place is not what you expect, they're all out for the money. It's a business!! We had a terrible experience here. Gave us the wrong insurance approval and when it wasn't approved after our family member was admitted through their approval, was released without completion. We were left with a large bill that we thought would be covered due to their error and did not help with the illness!!! Basically they kicked us out due to non approval of insurance coverage and billed us!!! Unfortunately our family member received no help and was sent back out to the same situation that brought us there. Don't count on the positive reviews you see. Not sure they're valid. I just don't want someone else to end up like us.

Mike Hawk

This place rocks. I was really worried about going to inpatient mental treatment and had a lot of fears going in as I've heard a lot of horror stories and had a lot of preconceived notions but this place changed all that. They really helped me feel better and got me in a better place. They aren't obviously going to magically fix you but they will definitely help you feel stable and more capable of healing and getting to a better place mentally. The staff was really friendly. I felt very safe while being here. The food is pretty damn good. Overall I highly recommend this place.

Karlie Gunnells

I have been to Carrollton Springs three times. The nurses (Tonya, Seth, John, Brent) there are awesome. If you get the chance to have Stacy or Lorenza or even Eric as your PCA, you are very fortunate. The rooms and beds are clean. Mind you, it is not a five star hotel but it is the nicest facility in the area. I strongly suggest this facility to anyone who is detoxing or for mental health or both. Also, the psychiatrists are wonderful, especially Dr. Kalra.

Quan Nguyen

My clinical experience with the facility was fantastic. It really exposes students to talking with the patients and helps them understand psychological problems that patients are going through. The nurses were very receptive and taught me a lot. Since the facility is on a lower acuity level than most mental health facilities, it was a good environment for learning.

Will Miller

Met the most amazing people and gained some amazing life experiences and life long friends. The techs and the nurses are very compassionate and attentive to your care. Would definitely recommended for anyone looking for a place to go to get help for anything.

Madison Huse

Caring staff. Attentive nurses. Professional business/administrative office. GREAT food and cozy accommodations (for a hospital ;) My experience at Carrollton Springs was by far the best. I received help Ive been looking for over the past 5 years, in one week. Special shout out to Amy, Elizabeth, and Christy, (not Jon) my nurses. So so sweet, empathetic, and helpful. Shoutout to my therapist Julie who I was able to connect with due to to her humble and gentle spirit. Shoutout to Homer and others for taking the time to talk to my mom on the phone when she was concerned with many questions. Shoutout to ALL THE TECHS, you guys have a stressful job and deserve a raise, I could go on and on. If you need help, this is the place to go.

Cyndi Ryan

I had the privilege of touring Changes in Frisco and was incredibly impressed. As a professional in the field of education and counseling, I feel confident about being able to recognize quality programs and people when I see them. I spent about an hour with various staff members while visiting Changes. I saw some young people as they transitioned from one activity to the next. The warmth and professionalism of the staff is immediately apparent. The feeling tone is one of acceptance, safety and genuine empathy. The students/patients appeared comfortable and at ease. Every staff person was welcoming and spoke very highly of their own experience working at Changes. The facility itself is beautiful; clean, warmly decorated, and welcoming. I highly recommend Changes.

Joni Hester

I came here for help. I was greeted by a girl asking for my insurance information. Then handed a clipboard of papers to fill out. About 45 minutes later I was called into a room where I was "interviewed" then told they do NOT take my insurance. I've been here for 6 hours no transfer yet. I'm not allowed to leave and I'm behind a locked door. No one can tell me how long I'm going to be held hostage. Since I've been here only one other person has been here and she was told outpatient care is what she needs. I'm tired. I'm cold. No end in sight. When asked if it was going to be morning before any other place can take me the response was "I hope not" this was a HUGE mistake to come here!!!!

Sol Dominguez

Carrollton Springs was a wonderful experience for me. The staff is amazing and very helpful, they answer questions as best as they can and will guide you. They make you feel very at ease, calm and "normal". The counselors are amazing!! They make you feel very welcome, listen, are very understanding and give you a lot of coping skills to use. At first I was sure of the group setting but again the counselor made it easier to get use to. The group setting for me was great because you hear a lot of different stories and can relate generally pretty well. I definitely recommend to anyone seeking extensive treatment to try Carrollton Springs. It helped me tremendously.

Eric Moeller

The staff and facility are incredible. I went in with a bad impression of mental health care and left with a completely new attitude. Everyone in the outpatient program was incredible, and the group therapy is life changing. Thank you!

Nancy Herpel

Horrible Nurses. I had to be taken to the ER 4 times. I begged the ER to admit me the last visit. 2 times in one day. I was in A-Fib and they refused to send me to the ER so a friend got the paramedics to come get me. I could have had a heart attack ,stroke or both.Don't go into any psychiatric HOSPITALS in Denton. County without a referral. They keep you until your insurance won't cover the stay!!

Luis Marques

Friendly techs, nurses, and doctors. Weather you are in your darkest hour or need a tune up Carrollton Springs is the perfect place to get stable or back on your feet. Thank you Carrollton Springs for helping me!!!

lauryn murtha

I called to inquire about the IOP program they have and Kim was the sweetest person ever! She was very helpful in guiding me through the process. She answered all of my questions thoroughly and happily and even helped me with scheduling an appointment. I will for sure be checking this out.

Jeremy Herbel

I came to Carrollton Springs to help me deal with some of the feelings I was having about the death of my mother. I found the group setting very helpful, and was able to gain a lot of great tools to work through what I was experiencing. My group was run by Randy, who is absolutely fantastic. He did a great job helping me process what I was feeling, and really understand the root of why I had certain feelings and tendencies. His ability to know exactly what to ask, and how to ask it, was very helpful, and was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend him, and this facility.

Erin Bush

I had never done inpatient therapy before and was skeptical, but after my time here I would 10/10 recommend this establishment to anyone in need of intensive therapy or round the clock care. The staff is incredibly helpful, empathetic, and informative. The psychiatrist I saw was mindful of my medical history when reviewing medication and treatment plans. Once discharged, there are other outpatient options to continue care. Hopefully I don't need to come back but in the off chance I do, I'll be returning here.

Elijah Soto

Balllin, the best place I’ve ever been to!

Verenice Santos

Carrollton Springs is a top notch facility with its friendly staff, cleanliness, and good reputation in the community. I only have positive things to say about this facility as I always have a good experience when I come. I was able to do CPI training here and the gentleman who gave the class made it fun and it was very insightful. To sum all of this up, this is a great hospital!

Mya Alvarez

I am completely satisfied with the help i got from being in patient to coming to php. The staff here never judge anyone and some could even relate to what we are going thru. I am very proud i did my research to come to the hospital and get my treatment i have really learned a lot and proud to say i have alot more knowledge to back into the real world. thank you all for all your help and support!!

Huong Thai

Carrollton Springs allowed my clinical experience to be memorable and fun. It's clean and secure. The staff is nice and takes time to listen to your needs. The patients here always look forward to the activities of the day. I would choose Carrollton Springs as my unit to visit again.

christopher martin

The entire staff was extremely friendly, courteous, professional and most of all very caring. The entire facility is clean and the staff from the doctors, nurses, technicians to the ladies in the lunchroom were all there to attend to our every need. They are first class, lovely people and i was truly fortunate enough to have taken everything I could to help me get better. The biggest thing is they are indeed caring professionals! I would recommend to anyone that is in need of help.

Megan Penshorn

I have been to a couple treatment centers before, but NONE of them compare to the AMAZING care I received at Carrollton Springs, they got me sober 7/12/2017 but have needed some help with recent traumas, and they still continue to give the best support, the best staff, great food, smoke breaks as well as fresh air breaks and they have always checked on me periodically throughout the day. I was under the care of amazing psychiatrists as well that really dedicate themselves to the patients. A super positive environment to heal in!! I would say this is the best recovery center in Texas!!

Rich Ogden

Very friendly staff. Very responsive and considerate. Ashley was very kind and insightful. I would recommend to anyone looking for some help

Helen Nguyen

I have been with Carrollton Springs for 3 years and love everyday of it! I worked at the front desk where I was able to see families bring in their loved ones in desperate need and hope that Carrollton Springs could help them. After a few days of treatment, I am able to see patients who once were unstable, get the treatment they need and walk out of our facility healthy and happy. Carrollton Springs provides their employees with the support and tools to ensure that our patients received the very best treatment and experience. I am very proud to be part of the Carrollton Springs team.

Trey Anderson

This was my first inpatient program and experience with Carrollton Springs and I was pleased with the care I received from this facility. However, the staff at Carrollton Springs seemed stressed and overworked due to being short-staffed and many of the scheduled activities were not available. Hopefully, in the future this will be addressed. That said, I would definitely come back for any future treatment needed

Pragnya Nayak

These people try their best to admit you as inpatient. If u deny, then you are denied medication as well. Dr Atique Khan did not even bother to check/change medication just because the patient was outpatient one and asked the patient to check in himself as inpatient. Stay away from this place.

Tommy Hamilton

This place saved my wife, my marriage, my life. She suffers from Bipolar Syndrome. She was a mess when I dropped her off, when I picked her up- she was even-keel. She was my wife again. I almost lost her to two suicide attempts. This place change a lot. If you’re wondering if you should go... GO.

Kayla Garner

KAITLYN, SALLY, Eric, Stacy, Tony, John, Travis and Everyone was great and so helpfull! Ask lots of questions before you go and you should be good. Healthy life is a happy life! :)

amanda berman

I have experienced both inpatient and outpatient treatment at Carrollton Springs and it was an extraordinary experience. The staff truly care and treat you with respect and kindness. From the technicians that monitor you to the therapists and even the kitchen and cleaning staff have been amazing. I am a different happier person because of the help I've received at Carrollton Springs. This experience and level care I've received have changed my life and helped me dramatically. I would recommend both inpatient and outpatient services to anyone that has a need for help.

Derek Chase

Their tech staff is full of compassion and willing to share their own experience, strength, and hope with those they serve. “Chill” Will “The Thrill” Holyfield was a angel in a time of desperation. I will never forget the time he spent with me when I needed someone to listen, understand, and offer me hope. Thank you Will. You’re a light in a dark world. Grace & Peace, Derek

elaine Marie

This place is a great place to get help. The staff is incredible and really focus on you and your treatment plan. The PHP program is incredible and one of the therapists (jessica) is a wizard at getting to the root cause(s) of your depression and anxiety. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Even if you aren't suffering from a mental illness, it helps you learn amazing life skills and coping mechanisms for everyday things. It was an amazing experience to have been here.

Amy Kankel

I have been here 3 times total. Twice inpatient and once outpatient. Inpatient was not the best. Some staff were helpful but others didn't really seem present or focused on the patients at all. The majority of the nurses were impatient and rude. There were a select few staff members and nurses who were outstanding though. Do not go here for detox. I went there for detox and all they did for me was put me on more meds including benzos, which is totally what a drug addict trying to get off drugs needs. The doctors there do not talk to your loved ones and will not return phone calls and do not prescribe the correct medications. Outpatient was wonderful. My therapist was so helpful in many ways and I'm very grateful for her. Hope this helps anyone thinking of going here :)

Carolynn Vasquez

I went in as a inpatient for PTSD in February. At first it was scary but immediately the staff, therapist, and psychiatrist are amazing! After inpatient I took the PHP and IOP program and Ashley Smith is the best therapist to help me manage my Depression and PTSD symptoms!!! She challenges you on your process and is always ready to listen with care. I would definitely recommend going here and if I need to come back I will go here!!!

Anjelica Frias

This facility has been a great site for learning. The workers are all very welcoming and easy to work with. The site is always neat, clean, organized, and it has a very home-like atmosphere. The nurses and techs treat patients with the utmost care.

Aubrie Lund

My stay at Carrollton Springs was different to say the least but not in a bad way although there are things that they need to work on. I was under the impression that they have individual therapy but they only have groups twice a day unless you get a doctors order to have an individual session. Another thing is they need more activity groups and need to have a way for every unit to be able to listen to music. They also don"t have very good time management. They will pull you out of group to go see the doctor and make you wait for like 30 to 45 minutes to be seen by the doctor when you could be in group actually getting help. Now I will say that they have helped me a lot and I feel like they really do care. They listen to you and try to work with you the best they can. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends if ever the need arose.

Morgan Wenger

This place is a good place if you struggle with addiction, and other mental issues. I went in for detox and it was smooth and easy, the staff for the most part is wonderful. If you are looking for a residential rehab this isn't the place but they will refer you once you are done with detox. Overall good place.

Lisa DeGeeter

Total cluster f*uck. Dr.s not being on location when they are supposed to be there. Medications not refilled in a timely manner. Clients left without meds for 2-3 days due to no doctors being available. No Communication regarding plan processes or how things. work. Groups are established w a specific counselor and then frequently intermingeld with a different group due to staffing problems. This causes groups to be too large for the amount of time allotted and is extremely disruptive aand stressful for the clients.

Sherri Cruz

Carrollton Springs is an amazing facility with an awesome staff. They treat everyone with respect but also make everyone feel welcomed. They're trained very well, helping so many people get back on their feet!! The facility itself is very clean and they're also expanding soon. Definitely recommend this place.

Kristen Simpson

Do not go here. They are not caring in any way. You will be turned away for help for taking certain medications and they will fail to return your personal paperwork not THEIR paperwork. While it's hard to find a subpar behavioral facility please go to another one. Traveling distances is worth it. Avoid this place.

Johnny Bartlett

BEWARE: Carrollton Springs charged by daughter $2000 up front for three weeks of group sessions. She attended one session and found the sessions very unhelpful and dropped the sessions. Carrollton Springs confirms that she is entitled to a $1500+ refund but has found numerous ways of not paying for over 6 weeks now. Their business office does not answer the phone and does not return voice mails.

Dawn Knowlton

My medical care at Carrollton Springs was top-notch. The staff are professional, kind, caring, knowledgeable, and dedicated to the well-being of their patients. However, you have to be willing to admit you need help, plus accept the help, even if it’s a hard pill to swallow, so to speak. My mental health is back on track now. As long as I keep putting in the work with the information and skills I was taught, both during my stay and in outpatient care, I can expect great things going forward for my own personal well-being. I have to give kudos to a few people who were extremely helpful in my recovery - Bee (RN-I think), Julie (LPC-I), Randy (LPC), Evangeline (Tech), and Anita (Tech). Thank you Carrollton Springs for your compassion and guidance.

Kheyla Zamora

Cedar Springs has changed my life and I was well taken care of. Im glad I chose this hospital. Thank you to all the staff "Yall are a big DILL!"

Dana Smith

Clean facility, educational & genuinely helpful therapy, intelligent doctors, caring techs and kind nurses. I received excellent care across the board and after nearly 10 years of therapy, psychiatry, and hospitalizations I’ve finally found the right medication. Shout out to Eric and Nicole, y’all the real MVP’s. Thank you for always taking the time to listen and understand. Thank you for always keeping your cool, thank you for treating everyone with respect. Your jobs are hard but you make it look easy. Only critique I have is it was very apparent multiple members of staff are feeling overwhelmed with their responsibilities, perhaps a minimum of 2 techs and 2 nurses per unit at all times could solve this issue. Don’t forget employees are human too and if they aren’t taken care of it can affect their performance which in turn can affect the lives they are responsible for. Beverly was very nice to the patients but when it came to staff members she was very harsh and unforgiving in her tone to the nurses. As a supervisor in a psychiatric hospital you should know how to express yourself to others assertively and teach them how to perform their job efficiently without stressing them out and making them feel undervalued.

Mike Gonzales

great place that actually helps

Kari Simonitch

The staff and care that I received at Carrollton Springs was exemplary. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is suffering from mental illness. The staff is kind and caring and see to all your needs. The BEST!!

Caitlin Owens

This hospital holds stable, voluntary patients against their will to milk insurance money.

Myriam Villarreal

Although, this isn't where I imagined I would end up at the ripe age of 25...I have to say that Carrollton Springs has been a life-saving experience for me (literally). I don't think anyone anticipates checking themselves into a mental health facility, but I am glad that I was brought to this particular facility. The entire staff genuinely cares about the health and wellness of their patients: the psychiatrists (Dr. B), the nurses (the entire team on Silver unit), the techs (Eric, Shirley, Lisa, Deanna, Chris, Star, and actually all techs), the therapists (Shout-out to Phillip). If you are willing to work hard and put effort into self-awareness and self-acceptance, then the team can work alongside you to genuinely continue and change your life for the better.

Kate Smith

The staff here is really helpful and friendly. It is clear they want the best outcome for each patient. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is in need of help.

Campbell

I stayed here for 12 days due to Borderline Personality Disorder and suicidal ideation and they all helped great. Very clean facility, and professional.

Yoga Linda

The dedication and devotion of the staff to quality patient-focused care is beyond exceptional. The patient comes first in every sense of the word. This is a unique and completely genuine perspective in the world of mental health care. I would completely trust my care and that of my loved ones to this facility if this were needed. I am honored to have the experience of witnessing the staff in action on a regular basis.

Brooke Shapiro

“Dr.” Butler, an assessment doctor who was seen through an iPad to make his “professional” assessment, was anything but professional. I have never met or dealt with such unprofessional, uncompassionate, person who is SOMEHOW an M.D.? I thought bedside manner was doctor 101 however this doctor interrupted, talked down to you, was condescending, and just did not care, which was absolutely apparent when speaking to him. I am completely flabbergasted on how a “psychiatrist” could have such a horrible attitude towards a patient seeking help and in crisis. No one should be treated with such disrespect and rudeness, especially in his profession. If Carrollton springs wants to keep admitting patients, I would STRONGLY reconsider having this “Dr. Butler” any where near or affiliated with this mental health hospital. I have never/met/encountered such an inconsiderate doctor and I hope to god I never will. I will be writing to the board about his attitude and unprofessional behavior that was seen and heard by 3 different people.

Matthew Dobbs

I’ll start by saying this is not my first visit to an outpatient psychiatric facility. With all of the good reviews I saw here I was very optimistic to try this place out. So far I have been incredibly unimpressed with the IOP program. The therapist I was assigned to seemed very distracted throughout group and behaved as if she didn’t want to be there. I never got the impression that she wasn’t paying attention to me, but it definitely seemed that she tuned certain people out. When I asked staff if I could be moved to another group or look at a different time slot, I wasn’t given a definitive answer. I was also told conflicting things about certain groups that were offered and their time frames. The staff seemed to be very unorganized and didn’t know the correct times of groups. Every interaction I’ve had after my intake has felt very uncomfortable and passive aggressive. I will say that my initial intake was great, the coordinator I dealt with was amazing, and perhaps I’ve just had poor luck since then. I would still advise you to look elsewhere. I’ve been to facilities with way worse reviews and experienced professional staff and a much more warm and inviting environment.

Manageable time, "not compressed". Highly professional staff and doctors with decent accommodations. nursing staff is very understanding of your needs and what your going through. If you need treatment this is the place to go!

I have been inpatient and Stacy was awesome as well as all the techs and nurses in Wells unit. Now I am in the PHP program and my group therapist Hannah is so amazing. Thank you all very much for helping me in my journey thus far. And as Hannah would say "this is just a moment in your life, it's not your life"

Carrollton Springs is truly the best psychiatric hospital in the DFW area. Do not believe the few negative listings about staff not caring about patients. I have been completing rotations at this facility since 2016. Out of all of the hospitals I have worked at for the past 8 years, I can say that this is truly one of the best. The doctors, nurses, therapists, techs, and dietary staff all take pride in their jobs. I have seen firsthand how they all genuinely care for each and every patient here. In any hospital setting, you will always have some patients who are not happy, no matter how much you try to help them. But this is no reflection of the staff and all of their efforts to truly help every patient attain sobriety/stability. If I ever needed to refer anyone to a mental health facility, Carrollton Springs would be the first place I would recommend.

I have worked as a volunteer for the Good Mood Foundation at Carrollton Springs for 5 years. I love working with the staff. They treat me like family. They trust me to work with the patients through our faith based program and see the impact that we have. I don't think any other hospital in the area would welcome us to that extent. The staff from the CEO to the housekeepers are caring, compassionate people who have a vested interest in seeing that these patients get better and get back to their families and jobs as soon as possible with good memories of their experience at Carrollton Springs.

They don't care about you. Fk this place.

The staff here is incredible, and the facilities are clean and comfortable. I am so appreciative of all of the programming, activities, and therapies offered. Four stars is because I felt a lack of autonomy in my treatment plan and goals -- I would have felt much more at ease knowing that I was more of an individual than a patient on a wing, but I have come to understand that there is a hospital process in place here that requires a certain amount of formality and regimen. The nurses are so attentive, the tech/RA staff is incredible, the psychiatric MD staff is wonderful, the therapists are obviously overworked and passionate, and the cafeteria and support staff are wholehearted about giving the best care possible to the patients who are here to recover. If you or anyone you know is in need of the space and time to detach from the insane pace and stress of our world, this is the place to do it. Be ready to let go and surrender -- and "trust the process."

This is an excellent place for short-term detox and/or stabilization for mental health illnesses. The doctors are great, the nurses are knowledgeable, and the rest of the staff is overall very caring. However, if you are seeking anything other than temporary assistance and medication adjustment, this is not the place for you. I was extremely disappointed with the counseling and the counselors. Other than that, this is a very good place for help with addiction and mental health issues.
