I used to see this doctor for my treatment-resistant depression. He always waved off my side effects as “in my head” and he routinely FELL ASLEEP during our appointments. This guy doesn’t care about the patient at all.

Fraud, not medicine. Dr. Arvinder already knows what he will prescribe before you sit down. My GF paid $295 cash to be evaluated for severe anxiety. ( her symptoms included shortness of breath, tremors, inability to sleep). Dr Arvinder took her money, saw her for 20 minutes, refused to prescribe anything for anxiety, and instead insisted she change antidepressants. The new drug is $400 per month. There is no generic.prescribe any

Went for ADD testing. The girls who work the front not only look unprofessional (who wears jeans and a Victoria’s Secret hoodie to work at a doctor’s office?!), but they also have literally no idea what’s going on around them. They’re currently withholding my results that I was informed I should have already received. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I thought medical field workers were apt. I suppose I assumed.

A New Heart Rocks

I'm a heart transplant recipient that has experienced medication complications, such as Serotonin Syndrome after my surgery and a Grand Mal Seizure. I've seen countless doctors and Dr. Walia is great! He's expresses empathy, listens, knows his science and is accessible. I would and have recommended him to others. I'd like to address a concern I've seen noted in his reviews: cost. Dr. Walia charges fair market rate. Psychiatry is a specialized modality. Nothing about his rates or time spent in session is anything but standard. If you want someone to take more time with you (fair enough), then I encourage you seek out a psychologist or therapist, in addition to medication management. Posting a review about my medical care is uncomfortable, but he's worth the honorable mention.

Dr. Walia and his team are excellent. The doctor is knoweledgable and dedicated to seeing that you get the right treatment. After years of struggling with my disorder, I was finally properly diagnosed and treated. Also, his staff is very helpful. After moving out of state and trying to find a new doctor, I miss Mr. Walia and everyone there.

Dr Walia saved my life! I have been seeing him for almost 9 years now. He is no longer covered by my insurance but I am happy to pay out of pocket to see him (I see him every 4 to 6 weeks). A lot of the reviews say he is just about the money or giving what ever samples big pharma is pushing but in my case that couldn't be further from the truth! He has always listened to my concerns and worked hard to find which meds worked best for me. He recently got me successfully through a year of being unmedicated while pregnant. I am bipolar and that is saying a lot. I would recommend Dr Walia to anyone looking for great psychiatric care (and I have) :)

Way too much money for a 10/15 minute visit. I only go once a year for "check ups" (5 minute sit downs), but still, the charges are ridiculous.

Doctor Walia listens to my concerns and doesn’t play with my medications in a flippant way. He clearly cares about his patients and is an excellent resource for mental health issues.

Sarah Anderson

Absolutely did not like this Dr. He would give me samples of new medicines rather than prescriptions to established medications that have been proved to work. He never believed me when I said how they made me feel. He doesn't really care about what's going on with you, he already has in his head what you need after 5 minutes of basic questions. I always paid for an hour and was out within 15 minutes, yet he wanted me to go several times a week. He does not truly care about the patients, just money.

Scheduling is not a joke. I arrived 2 minutes late for an appointment because a work meeting ran long and they had already canceled it because "you're supposed to arrive 15 - 20 minutes early."
