My primary care physician referred me to Dr.Jamieson due to having severe panic attacks. His first and ONLY option was medication. I was prescribed 3 different opioids that I'm currently struggle to back off of with another psychiatrist. He is very persistent that every person struggling with some type of mental health should be on medication. Completely WRONG. I was misdiagnosed by him and it almost ruined my life. I am now under the care of a new psychiatrist whom is slowly taking me off meds.

Condescending and dismissive. I called about a medication that a NP very casually put me on. I was told it could be changed if I read the paperwork and was uncomfortable with it. I read the paperwork accompanying the medication from the pharmacist. I took issue because it is the same formula as a past medication I had a reaction to. The medicine was prescribed to me off label. Why I was not given a medication known and approved to treat my specific diagnosis is beyond my understanding. I called the office to get something different and a medicine specific to my diagnosis. I received a rude and dismissive message from dr Jameson (not from the NP I’ve been seeing) as to how all the meds in this class are the same and I would have to just not take what was prescribed and return to the office. Another copay and more of my time wasted. If you choose to be seen at this office, get on your own team— ask questions before agreeing to try whatever medication is prescribed because it may not be known to treat your specific diagnosis and getting your concerns heard may be difficult. The attitude of dr Jameson has towards patients seems irresponsible for someone treating mental health with medications that do have serious side effects for the individuals who take them. The office could do better to put patients in touch with the NP providers they see rather than sending messages and voicemails through to Jameson who has no history with you as a patient.

Very little time spent to be able to diagnose me with a very serious condition. Like 10 min tops. Then poured all kinds of different Medicine in me that actually made me worse. Horrible

Dr Jamieson, Cares about his patients. In his field, I've found that to be rare. You will feel his passion for his work, his expertise in psychiatry. He is the best of the best in all of the treatments that fall under his field of study. I am truly thankful to Dr Jamieson, because he has literally saved my life on two occasions. And, because he has made my quality of life better than I could have ever imagined. It is worth the wait for you're first appointment. He is five star's in all categories. His (carefully chosen) Physician Assistant's, are equal in his care, and the perfect extention of his work in his absence. My confidence in Dr. Jamieson, and his staff, comes from 40 years of experience looking for answers that would help me cope with my psychiatric diagnosis. 30 years of 7 other psychiatrist with no real life copying plans. 10 yrs. ago I found Dr Jamieson (while in crisis) at the Parthenon pavilion in Nashville TN. That's when I began to make real progress in coping with a life long struggle. I treasure Dr Jamieson and his practice, as today I am a happy and whole person, with a passion for the future. Excellent Dr. very compassionate and caring. Definitely understands the different conditions he treats. As well as being knowledgeable. But more than just textbook understanding of disorders. Great listener. First in a long line of Doctors that helped me get some resemblance of a "normal " life. Doesn't over or under medicate his patients. Would highly recommend! Actually pay out of network to see him, because he's That Good! Not to mention drive about 2 hours total to see him. Even though there are other doctors where I live, that would be in network. But I will not switch. No doctor even nearly comes close to the care I receive from him and his staff.
