Who ever is in charge of the call center has absolutely no call manner. I have called the facility over 15 times and each time, someone has hung up on me. I am incredibly shocked at how rude they were on the phone. I sincerely hope that they do not treat their patients with such rudeness.

Are you kidding me? I call the crisis stabilization line for help...went to park ridge....they were very welcoming at first....then while being evaluated they realize i didnt have insurance....the african american guy that evaluated me stated "oh this is like $10,000"....then gets on the phone with CSU and they tell him they cant accept me because i drink alcohol....um hello, thats why i reached out for help.....then they kicked me out after i was there for 2 hours....this place is definitely a joke.....DO NOT EVER SUGGEST ANYONE GO HERE.....Another gentleman was in there as well and asked that they turn his tv down in his "office" room(where they evaluate)....the nurse told him i dont think theres anything i can do....finally after another 30 minutes that guy decided to move himself into another "OFFICE" where the tv was not on......ABSOLUTELY CRAZINESS!!!!!

Took my Mother tonight in hopes of med management for her psychosis and dementia. I was under the impression that with seniors, they put you in and treat you for a few weeks until the psychosis is well managed. I called and was told to bring her in for an evaluation this evening and found myself locked in a bay of rooms waiting 3 hrs for an assessment by a nurse who never showed up until I asked to leave. My Mother is frail and needed her meds and insulin and when I mentioned she needed her blood checked they said someone would come but no one ever did. Then because of my insistence to leave stating this is not the place for my Mother to be treated like an ER Triage station and there were about 6 different young people from about 16 to 25 that were being treated for intentions to hurt themselves. This was not appropriate for a senior with dementia to be treated in this manner. And the nurse insisted on asking my Mother if she feared leaving with me to go home? Really? I brought her for help. If I was going to abuse her why would I bring her in. I don’t think they bothered to find out why we were there, just took vitals and a medical history and then nothing for 3hrs but a waste of time for us and my two siblings. I left work early to do this and left with fearing I would not be let out because I was a danger to my Mother! This place is operated as if past psych patients escaped and they were hired on!! Never take your loved one here especially your parents!

I have called an called an even talked to the house supervisor face to face about personal items missing . An they have never called me back I like they don't care that someone's stuff has went missing. If I could give them a half of a star I would have this place is a JOKE. I wouldn't waste my time going there.

Don't go for the "free evaluation". Took my son there, to seek counseling and they kept him 4 nights and charged over $6000.00. This place is in the business of making money not helping people that are struggling with life.

I quite agree with the review from Earlene. My mother who is in her 70's was told by Parkridge ED to take by brother, who has clinical depression and was suffering from alcohol withdrawal, to this facility to be admitted. It was evening by the time they were able to leave the ED and get to Parkridge Valley. When my mother told the person at the desk that the doctor had said he'd called ahead and everything was set up for my brother to be admitted the woman told her it didn't matter and it would be 4 hours for an assessment. My mom attempted to question this and was berated by this woman. She even opened the safety window again while my mom and brother were sitting waiting to taunt my mom and ask if she wanted to argue about this again. Finally a nurse came and my mom attempted to show her the paperwork from the ED and ask about situation. The nurse left and returned within 5 minutes saying they'd called the ED and Dr never said this. Again told it would be 4 hours for assessment. My mom eventually took my brother and left as he was having physical complications which is why the ED sent him there in the first place but no one paid attention or cared. I will follow up with ED about their part but as a healthcare worker myself I am appalled by this treatment of people. NO ONE should be treated with such complete disrespect. It is as if they have no understanding that mental illness and addiction are a disease and families are looking for help not callous and rude treatment and 4 hour waits.

If I could give stars on different things I would. Let's start off with Dr appereddy. This woman has doped me up on so many pills it's amazing I'm not dead. Just on my last stay I was given medication for schizoprehnic patients. Mind you, I am not schizoprehnic, nor has any therapist of mine ever thought so. I don't remember 4 of the 6 days I was there. I have narcolepsy so I'm really not supposed to take pills that make me drowsy. For some reason Dr. Appereddy ignored me every single time I mentioned my narcolepsy. Not to mention, the last time I was out patient this Dr. told me to take medication that made me drowsy, and then drive at 1230 at night to pick up my fiance from work. Of course I didn't do it because I realized how insanely dangerous that is. Honestly, after my last visit I will NEVER go back. I need help but I will never step foot back in that place even if I'm desperate. All I did my last visit was sleep and watch tv. THERE IS BARELY ANY GROUP THERAPY! Is that not why we are freaking there? To get stabilized on meds and TALK about what landed us in there? Every exspirence I've had at the adult campus has been a waste of time. If you don't have insurance don't dig yourself a hole by wasting your time here. I have insurance and have been billed twice for the full amount of my stay. Haha this place seriously a joke I could go on and on. The only people worth anything at this place are the nurses who will do anything to help. THE NURSES are the ONLY thing valley has gotten right. Please people find somewhere else to get help. Valley will make it worse.

My mother goes in on no meds within 6 days shes on 12 meds. Who in their right mind could tell what medication was doing what. I would never recommend this type treatment for any older person. After being inside for 14 days with no fresh air. And put on all this meds thats enough to cause anyone to go crazy! This place needs to be investigated for neglect and wrongful treatment. It took 3 months to get my mother straightened out after getting out of this joke of a psychiatric hospital.

This place is a joke ... government funded pill farm. They dope you up for 7 days and tell you that the meds are working when it takes longer then 7 days for these prescriptions to kick in ... the staff other than the nurses are a joke the only reason I gave 1 star is because they are real good about pushing the hippa law which they can shove it. If the place was any good why haven't I made any progress in the 5 times I've been sent here .
