Dr. Collen is very rude. He acts like he is the smartest person in the room and that you should be so honored to be in his presence. He wants you to reach his expectation of straight and to the point conversations, and if you don't answer in the manner that he likes, he will constantly cut you off. He has not empathy what-so-ever and he will assume he knows what is exactly right about your recovery.
****if you leave a bad review, he will assume you won't make it to the aappointment you scheduled. Rather than taking the constructive criticism and addressing the issue and getting down to the bottom of how you felt during the last session, he will sugguest you remove the review and find another Provider. When dealing with those with mental illness and substance patients, outbreaks are to be expected. I do not think he handled this professionally as far as assuming I wouldn't make the scheduled appointment. I respect that he suggest I find a provider that I feel more comfortably with and his confirmation that my new meds can be still used even with a new provider. I will not, however, take my review down as it is what I felt and still felt for the breif address of the issue at hand. I do not believe anyone should feel as if they have been belittled and feel more mentally unstable than when they do the first session. If he works for you ,he works for you and that's great. But my experience wasn't how I believe an appointment for your mental health and substance abuse should go. Before posting my first review, I talked to many about how the session went and they were even shocked by it. Furthermore, I will not apologize for how I,the patient, feels nor feel even crazier for feeling as such. I do agree, I could have addressed this before leaving review, but I will not apologize for my mental health at the time of posting. I am allowed to feel the way I feel, and allowed to express such whenever I feel necessary.
