Dr. Draud is one of the best, he makes you feel like you've known him forever and he cares. He isn't just about managing medicine, He truly wants to know how YOU are. Very smooth with appointments. He and his staff and some of the best, caring people you can find. As far as wait time, I think the longest I have sat to go back, 2 minutes tops.

I had to leave town for 2 weeks on an emergency. So, I forgot my appointment. Charged 90.00 and paid it. Was told to call back to get prescriptions. When I did no one would return my phone call. Went in to office to get them and found out they had been mailed to me. Remind you I had just driven 5 hours from out of town. Received the lettter and has been dismissed from the practice. I will never recommend anyone to go to this doctor.

Christina Forte

Dr. Draud and his staff are extremely kind and professional. I have recommended this practice to several friends who all agree Dr. Draud is wonderful! The receptionist has always been very friendly and attentive as well.

Thomas Townsley

Most of the one star reviews here are hardly coherent and hyperbolize. I was charged $90 for having to reschedule, but that's standard practice for most places dealing with this kind of clientele. I was seen in a timely manner and had a far better experience than most places I've been to.

Patients here seem to be treated in some cases like fast food customers. You get five minutes or less then shoved out the door. Questions are not encouraged.

Was sent here by insurance company. Called their office for 2 days left messages each time. Was told messages would be returned by the end of the day. Never got a call back. After reading reviews maybe it was a godsent.

The staff and medical professionals in this office compare to no other. I have never had such a great experience with a psychiatrist. They are all incredibly kind and accommodating and are always available and quick to respond.

I was discharged without notice and could not contact the office, it took 12 phone calls, and only after i got real nasty with my voicemails did i get a call back, avoid this crook at all cost

Stay away!!! I have read through the reviews, and it seems there is a pattern here similar to my experience. Like many others, I was dismissed with no explanation really. I was a patient of his for two years or more. He had me on a considerably high dose of a benzodiazepine. Eventually, I realized the drug was giving me very little relief for the original symtoms I went to him for, so I asked him to give me a plan to taper off of it. He agreed, but shortly after this, he stopped seeing me. I was on a dose of a benzodiazepine that was high enough that I couldn’t just stop taking it safely. When I showed up for a routine visit, I was told they had been calling me and sending me letters (which was a lie), and they then informed me that I was no longer a patient of his. The doctor wouldn’t see me; he was “communicating” through his receptionist. He was refusing to give me a refill of my medication, but I reminded him that I could have a seizure if I just stopped taking it abruptly (as I was almost out of the script). Thankfully, he ended up writing me one. Thinking about it further, like others here, I remember being a few minutes late for what I believe ended up being my last appointment. He charged me $90 extra that I didn’t have for being late. I realize this is pretty common, but I just find it ridiculous... as I had never been a problematic patient in the two years that I had been seeing him. We always got along.. regardless of our lifestyle differences. Additionally, like many others here experienced, every visit I had with the guy was rushed. There was no counseling or therapy, and he made it clear from the get go, in a way, that I wasn’t going to get it from him. According to him, I just needed drugs. Back then, I wasn’t thinking all that clearly about things, and I thought this was ok. Looking back on it, I should have taken this as a red flag. All in all, it was a very detrimental experience. Because of his poor methods, I ended up being stuck on a dangerous drug for many years... among other things. I recently have managed to complete the long tapering process from benzodiazepines, and I thought back to my time under the care of this guy. If you want to make actual headway with your psychological issues, stay far away from Dr. Draud. He is a money hungry man.

Terrible. Was charged $90 for being 15 minutes late along with so many other issues... very wrong and unethical.

I was referred to Dr. Draud by my internist. I found him to very knowledgeable. He is easy to talk to. I most impressed with the DNA testing used to find the most effective medication specific to my problems. I would highly recommend Dr. Draud to anyone needing a caring psychiatrist.

I been seeing Dr Draud since 2000. He will make you feel at home in his office, very good at writing what meds help you. Simply the best Dr in Nashville.

My calendar moved the time of my appointment because of daylight savings. I thought my appointment was an hour later than it was. I recieved a call asking where I was. After realizing what happened, I apologized for the mix up. Instead of being understanding, they charged me $90. After paying, I was told I could stop by to get my prescription. I told the woman at the desk I would be there shortly. I arrived just after noon and was nobody there. I waited in the waiting area for over 30 min before the doctor showed up. I was told at that point that they leave the office from noon to 1. Not sure why the woman at the front desk didnt share that information with me when we were on the phone... I liked Dr. Draud but after going through this, I'll be going elsewhere.

Called and was told he was taking new patients. Met with him and he complained because our PCP didn't refer us to a psychiatrist in his group instead of him. He had worked at one time in our PCP's group, and it was obvious he had some unresolved issues with him. Said he needed medical records and needed to talk to our PCP before discussing a treatment plan. Never said he wouldn't take my husband. Then 3 days later got a letter that he couldn't take him due to his current patient obligations. So why did he waste our time meeting with us? If he was being professional, he would set aside these personal issues and do the right thing for a patient in need. From reading these reviews, it's obvious he picks and chooses who he wants. We have been desperately seeking a psychiatrist for months to help with my husband's medication and he knew this. Would not recommend him to anyone. He obviously is not in the business to help people.

I had an appointment scheduled for 12:30 but was running late due to an accident. I was coming from Hendersonville so it is a bit of a drive . I called ahead to let them know I was running behind and would be there 10 till. I couldn't get in touch with the receptionist. This happens all the time. Anyway, they called me as I was pulling in to park and said that since I was late they would be charging me 90 dollars and I could still talk to the doctor over the phone. I said, I did not want to talk to the doctor over the phone if it meant being charged 90 dollars for a no show. The lady on the phone said not to come in since he didn't have time to see me. he sees patients every 15 minutes on the dot. I complained and so they sent me a termination notice. The doctor is nice but he only spoke to me for 3-5 minutes before ushering me out. The practice is much more concerned with billing and money and not about patient care. Stay away.

I love Dr. Draud. I've been seeing him for more than 10 years. He's always on time. He's kind and helpful. And I've recommended him to friends.

Heather Hayes

This practice was recommended to me by my PCP. I've called and emailed them multiple times to set up an appointment, and no one has responded - not even to say they aren't taking new patients. Very unprofessional.

Dr. Draud is the first person in over 12 years that has generally understood me and my struggles. He did not beat around the bush as so many other doctors, both primary care and psychiatrists always have. In today's health community so many people are judged as patient's based on the injustices of those that came before them. That makes it hard to get someone to listen and truly help you. I would recommend Dr. Draud to anyone struggling, frustrated or in need of another opinion. I have been there before and he truly has saved my life.

Dr. Draud is excellent, these stars are for him only. His Office Manager, Jessica was very unresponsive to requests and returning calls and could be extremely rude. Don’t expect the phone to be answered, it’s always a call back at some point.

Judy Henley

Saw Dr Draud- really thought a lot of him. Office staff seemed great. Went yesterday 8-21-18 and told him was having severe anxiety due to two serious family issues. I was taking clonazapam from my PCP. He said let’s change to Xanax. 10 minutes with him at most. I had also gone to my ENT about 3 weeks ago with severe sinus infection. Doctor gave me 20 pills of Valium for vertigo. Been seeing ENT about 2-3 years and PCP about 7-8 years. I got a call from his office staff telling me I was on a drug seeking- doctor shopping. His office staff treated me like a criminal. I had taken 1/2 of a Valium and had 19 and 1/2 tabs left. I did not want to be knocked out. She told me he would never see me again and they would send me a letter of referrals. I told her not to send anything to my house or I would have her charged with harassment. I told her she was slandering my name. I’m not through with them yet. I have never had a pill or alcohol problem and I am 68 years old. I think she was really enjoying cutting me down. I asked my PCP and ENT to call them and vouch for me. A terrible experience. I wouldn’t send an animal to him. I think they all need mental treatment!

Had trouble finding bldg and tried calling while I was lost. Noone was answering the phone. Kept getting answering machine. Showed up 10 minutes late and doc would not see me. Then charged me $100 for it. Not great way to treat new patient with extreme anxiety. Said the only way they would remove the charge would be to cancel all future appointments and not book any future appointments. Least empathetic office i ever had the displeasure of not seeing.

Anthony James

I found Dr. Draud through my insurance company. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and is very kind. I would recommend him to anyone seeking a good Psychiatrist.

Sarah Cantrell

I have been seeing Dr. Draud for over five years. He has helped me control my Bipolar disorder when many doctors have failed. I would highly recommend Dr. Draud to anyone who is searching for a Psychiatrist in the area. He is caring and compassionate, and his staff has been very supportive and amazing.

Katie Kelly

Dr. Draud is the kindest, most compassionate psychiatrist I've ever seen. Getting in and out of his office is a breeze, and his manager, Jessie, is wonderful. I honestly cannot think of one bad thing to say about him or his practice.

Kasey Batey

I've been going to Dr Draud for about 1 yr now, it I was able I would have not given Dr Draud a star.. On my last visit the doc gave me my medicine and we both agreed on doing the electric shot therapy, just had to wait til my insurance gave me the total for this treatment, come to find out my deductible was to high, decided to wait a few months then get it done with a much lower price after telling Dr Draud receptionist she would talk to the doctor.. A week went by I got a certified letter telling me Dr Draud was NO LONGER GOING TO SEE ME OR CONUTINE WITH TREATMENT I needed to find another doctor to conutine my treatment. This was in January after calling continuously leaving messages after messages I was unable to receive a call back or any type of reason why this happened.. I contacted my insurance company to find out Dr Draud was charging them for 25 minutes when I wasn't able to get a full 5 minutes of services from him. Dr Draud speaks for and conutine to speak for medical drug companies but doesn't seems to speak with his patients as well as he said. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES TO ANYONE, FOR HE DOESNT GIVE A FLYING f*K* ....

Ashley Birden

I was anxious to find a new doctor after moving to the area. Turned out Dr. Draud ended up being better than my old doctor. He was very thorough in my evaluation and asked a lot of questions. He helped me work through my focusing problems. I highly recommended Dr. Druad and his friendly staff.

Only pushes drugs. Doesn’t listen to his patients problems!!

Leslie Nettles

If there was a minus stars I would have chosen that. I was a patient of Dr Draud's since 2006. This past December I receive a letter saying he could not longer see me...with no explanation. I tried repeatedly to contact his office leaving multiple voice-mail, with no return calls. He had me on a ton of medicine, but as my Dr I trusted what he was doing. He also was billing my insurance company for 30 minutes, but I was never in his office longer than 5 min. He doesn't care about his patients. He actually makes more money speaking for drug companies....which he seemed to care More about. The medication he had me on was very dangerous if I stopped taking it cold turkey, which I was forced to do since no one from his office would return a call. as a mental health patient they are are bond my some kind of ethics to provide help to their clients. I would never recommend anyone to see anyone in the practice because they are not interested in their patients stability .
