The Lady at the front desk is rude and has an attitude. I asked a simple question and she said, “What do you want? My Nurse is busy.” Then she hung up on me. Super professional I wish I could rate this with no starts because it isn’t even worth one star.

Dr. Patra is the best Psych in the area. I was worried when moving from a large city to a smaller area that I would have trouble finding a good Mental Health Provider, but I have been extremely satisfied with Dr. Patra, his office manager, and his front desk staff. I never feel rushed during my appointments, and know that if I need to be seen, his staff will do all they can to get me in as soon as possible. I have been seeing him for about a year now, and will definitely continue to choose his practice for my mental health care needs. He came highly recommended and I see why!

I saw Patra at the Boys and Girls Home and Family Services. Patra abandoned me when I needed someone the most. I tried for over 3 weeks to get in touch with him after I had colon cancer surgery. I did not get any calls back. I had my home health care nurse contact the receptionist who said she would call and get me an appointment. No one called. By the time I had someone else take over my mental health care I was a wreck. Patra agreed to keep seeing me at the Boys and Girls Home after he opened his new office, which does not take medicare/medicaid patients. Surprise Patra is no longer at the Boys and Girls Home. UPDATE 12/31/18 I see that, 2 years after my review, Patra answered. My comment to his answer is this. 'A good Dr. does not forget about their patients, does not drop a patient for those with insurance that isn't Medicare/Medicaid insurance without sending a letter explaining whats going on and does not lie to patients by saying, If you need anything call.'

Office manager(his wife) is MEAN AND RUDE. Very money hungry. He is an excellent doctor. So sad that I have to find another doctor because of her. He as been my doctor for so many years I'm so sorry. She denied a med refill because I have a balance that is not even 30 days old.
