This practice is a rip off! !!!!!They are much more concerned with a dollar bill than patient care. They charge you $25.00 to make an appointment, ...then another $150.00 when you arrive. #!!!And for that...you get a nurse practioner,..not a real shrink!!!I have been to psychiatrist 's before,..and none have attempted to financially rape me like these bums.Do yourself a favor, ....FIND SOMEONE ELSE.!!!!! In my entire life I have never, ever been charged by a doctor a separate sum to write a prescription. ..These shake down artists want $30.00 a piece to just write a prescription. !!!!! People like this should not be in business or the medical profession.

These are by far the most inconsiderate people I have ever seen in theasley business of professional medicine. My mother is visually impaired and basically has,been on more than one occasion treated,like a second class citizen and assistance to her dueyes to her condition is overlooked in every instance. They will not answer phone calls. And rarely respond to emails. Emails that she cannot even send to begin with. I am responsible for that action so I can attest first hand the reaponses are few and far between and the service is below mediocre. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!! THEY ARE A JOKE, A MONEY RACKET AND JUST NOT PROFESSIONAL IN THE SLIGHTEST.

Dr. Sherbondy has changed over the years my family has been going there. He doesn’t even ask what’s going on with your life. For some reason he is terrified of the FDA and is cutting down on everybody’s much needed meds. Maybe he’s already gotten in trouble with the FDA. But he is concerned with running patients in and out in order to make more money. He makes me feel like he wants me and my family to move to another practice. He even engaged with my pharmacist in a slanderous conversation where she was accusing me of being under the influence of some illicit drugs. I’m going to contact an attorney about that. What about HIPA? It doesn’t count for pharmacists or what?

This is the worst office that I have ever been to. They should be ashamed at how much of a disgrace they are to the mental health profession. The only reason I went there was to see Lavena Wilkes, but thankfully she is getting her own office. If you want to stay sane, so not go here. The receptionists are nice, but the management is so poor that they ended up keeping my money from me for months telling me it's processing but all I had to do was sign a check release form that they neglected to tell me about 5 months later. It took 7 days to get my check after 5 full months of waiting. Another reason not to come here because they are atrocious at communication. What type of office doesn't answer or return phone calls? Also, I have seen people have full meltdowns because of the way the management handles situations. This place is shameful, so please save your time, money, and sanity by not coming to this godawful place.

I have been attending this practice for 3 years. I originally started with Dr. Cook, whom is an amazing and caring physician. Every time he saw me after he was no longer my physician, due to his injury, he always managed to address me and ask how I had been. I will also say Dr. Ambrose is an amazing therapist, she was always pleasant to see. After Cooks injury, I was switched to Sherbondy, which he was great as well. Then because he had so many patients they switched me to Elizabeth Shatten. She was the worst "Dr" I had been to there. I only switched Drs to help Dr. Sherbondy out. She does not believe in the recovery program and she also looks down her nose at anyone with addiction problems. My husband and I were both giving her a chance. Maybe I myself was maintaining, but my husband was not. He had fallen off the wagon frequently and then without any discussion cut him off of his meds. I don't understand how you can cut someone off nerve medication as she did. Due to her decision in cutting him off abruptly, we've had consistent issues now. I don't know if life will ever be as it was, because he was doing so well. As for Dr. Sherbondy and his office staff they're amazing and great people. Always so kind and considerate. Why have someone so cold and that doesn't believe in the recovery program work at a recovery psychiatric clinic. I took my business elsewhere and am much happier not having to drive 4 hrs just to come see a physician that doesn't give a damn about her patients.

They put me on a different type of adhd meds which worked great. I really liked their staff until three days ago. I've been out of town for over a month and left two emails and two voicemails. Yesterday I received an automated text to remind me to show up for an appointment? How am I supposed to show up for an appointment while I'm out of town??? I cancelled it and have yet to hear back for my out of state refill. This is bullshit!

I filled out their forms and provided all insurance documentation as their website instructed. When I received no response from my submission, I followed up by both phone (no answer) and by email. When they finally called me back a couple weeks later, they told me they weren't accepting new patients and to "call around" to find a provider. This office wasted my time. If you're not accepting new patients, indicate that on your website rather than instructions of how to submit insurance information or at least respond to new patient requests.

Sorry for the long review, but DO VISIT THIS OFFICE. I was a teenage patient of Dr. Sherbondy in 2013. Whenever I would have a visit to discuss my medications, I would be asked if I was "Better, worse, or about the same". If I answered by saying worse or the same, I was not asked any further questions, and Dr. Sherbondy would increase the dosage of my medications. I began to have increased thoughts of suicide, hopelessness, and more frequent and debilitating anxiety attacks. I brought these ailments to Sherbondy's attention, and rather than suggesting a change in medication he insisted on increasing the dosage even more. This cycle went on for nearly a year before I decided to stop seeing Dr. Sherbondy. I didn't believe that I could be helped anymore and didn't seek out a medical professional for many years. Once, I finally decided to find another psychiatrist we quickly learned that all anti-depressants created extreme adverse effects on me and we found other medications that have saved my life. I was a young teenager when seeing Dr. Sherbondy, and trusted his office had my best interest in mind. This was not the case, and I was too young to understand it wasn't my fault the medication made me worse. My high school experience was full of mental breakdowns, extreme anxiety, and extreme feelings of hopelessness due to the malpractice of this office. I go out of my way to ensure that anyone I know does not go to his office, because of the harmful approach they take to "treating" their patients. This office not only neglected my well-being, but they prolonged my recovery.

I was a patient for over a year and I was very happy with Dr. Sherbondy and the medical services he provided. However, I had a few questions about what I had been billed--I asked if I could have some sort of itemized receipt to understand what I had paid and why. It was a very simple request, but I was flatly ignored for over a month. When I persisted and sent several emails, I was asked to come in to the office to pick up my receipts. When I got there, no receipts had been printed. I waited for over half an hour and received nothing. Since I do not do business with companies whose billing and office management practices are not above board, I removed myself from their care and requested that they mail me my medical records, along with the receipts that I still had never been given. It's now been a month without any response, even an email to acknowledge my issues or explain why they can't or won't provide receipts to their customers. All I've ever gotten were the tiny credit card slips from when I paid--never any summary of services or anything similar. These are shady business practices. They have a gorgeous, well-appointed lobby and tons of staff wandering around the front desk, but apparently do not have the ability to provide clarity to a patient who has very basic, ordinary questions about their care and account.

Cut me off both prescriptions i have been on for 6+ years... despite the fact that I am now withdrawing, he didn’t care when I mentioned it to him when he cut me off. His reasoning was, of course, the “FDA is cracking down”... so this is how you help people? You take their only medications that help them get through every single day cause you feel like it. You own the practice. If you plan on going here or do, don’t be surprised if you are cut from your medications also. Despite withdrawing off of them, cause he made it apparent that he does not care one bit. Leaving this practice as soon as possible.

This place is awful. I'm currently going through bad withdrawal from a medication they 1) didn't tell me the side effects of and 2) failed to "ween" me off of them which is the reason the side affects are so bad. This was my first time at a psycologist and I didn't once see a doctor, had to pay $75-$125 each time I went to talk to a nurse for 2 mins (they also told me that after my insurance kicked in I would get refunded some of it but never did) and all she did was write stuff done and took notes on me then wrote me out the prescription and said "this should help." I was only on them for about 2 months and I called cancelling my appointment because I lost my insurance and they never contacted me about getting off of them slowly. Didn't work with me at all and they seriously don't care about their patients. Don't go here!! Hopefully this helps other people. Was just trying to get help and got none.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sherbondy for over 10 years. For twenty years before I found him I struggled with depression and ADHD. Both of these things made it difficult for me to have a "normal" life. I had been on a very strong medication for sleep since I was 16. Dr. Sherbondy took the time to listen and try different medications until he found the right combination that worked specifically for me. He's really giving me my life back. I am taking a sleep medicine that is perfect for me with no bad side effects or hangovers, my focus is clear, and my depression is managed. I also have a son who is under his care. Dr. Sherbondy always takes his time with us. He's a kind and caring doctor who will work with you to find the right medications for you and help you get your life back. He will help you find your way when you can't.

My son is only 16 years old ,wasseeing doctor to start then switch us to a nurse not telling us,then another,changed medication so many times,now having bad reaction 2 medication ,gained 70 pounds within 6 months,can not call they only respond 2 email, good luck on when they will call u back,definitely going 2 find another doctor,not a nurse ,that charges 220,every 6 weeks when u thought ur child life was in a doctor's hands

"If you'd like, you can find someone else to play God." He only cares about himself. For almost 2 years, this facility WAS my ally in regaining control of my life. And I did! I was working more and harder than ever before, I signed a lease on a condo in Hendersonville, was volunteering, created a business forming an LLC... and now...well. Until they decided that a medical condition that has been successfully treated for 13 years (the past two, by THEM) can't be because, according to Dr. Shane Sherbondy, "there is a law against it." I cried, pouring my heart out to him regarding issues experienced before and the desire to continue the SUCCESSFUL treatment. It meant NOTHING; he can put on a great fake hat but he's simply cold. I was a model patient, paid on time EVERY time and after their cruel treatment, I lost my longest-tenured position with a Fortune 500 Company, 2 other jobs (debilitating side effects) in DIRECT correlation with his (reasoning, whatever it may be because there sure isn't such a law) completely uprooting the sucessful, 13-year, treatment plan that has allowed for me to be a productive member of society. While KNOWING about these devastating blows to MY LIFE AND THE LIVES OF THOSE AROUND ME, he was ice cold. Now, I can only hope and pray that I am able to find a physician who truly cares and understands I am a human being and healthcare is NOT universal and he is NOT God.

You can do better than Sherbondy. They are not at all interested in getting to know the real issues in your life. They want to put you on the most expensive new drugs they can and keep you on them for life. In addition, make sure you protect you patient confidentiality rights with them, mine appeared to have been violated.

I love my doctor which is why I am still a patient at this office, but I am beyond frustrated with scheduling. I have been emailing and calling on and off for 2 and a half weeks now and still can't get through to anyone. I am guessing they are simply understaffed, but at some point you have to recognize that and hire more people to answer questions and process paperwork.

Neglectful. If medication isn't helping all they do is increase the dosage to the point that debilitating side effects emerge, which they treat by prescribing more of the same medication. They not only neglected my well-being, but prolonged my recovery.

There are so many great doctors in this practice, like Marolyn Little, but please tell the staff that you do NOT want to see Dr. Sherbondy if you decide to come here. Please, see another of their doctors. I first came to Sherbondy's when I was 15, and after just one 10-minute discussion, he decided to put me on an extreme anti-depressant. Anyone who has taken an abnormal psychology class would know that giving such medication to a teenager should NOT be the first path to take. On top of that, he also pushed for me to buy a medicine that would "help my anti-depressant work better". I later found out that this was a medication that Dr. Sherbondy himself had a stake in. He usually pushes medicine that benefits him to prescribe. So, please, ask for one of this practice's many other professionals.

Ive never been to this facility but if theres one doctors office i highly recommend not going to its the one in greenwood called physicians care. The doctor is good but the women at the front desk are rude. They dont care about helping others. They charge u if u make one mistake and they will not let u get by with anything. I was there for opiod addiction and the doctor was supposed to treat me. Ive never failed one drug test since i been there and have always made sure to stay on the right path to do whats right for my recovery but they messed up my entire recovery process just because i didnt have 15$ to pay them that i could have paid over the phone or pay it next month or try to get it to her within 30 minutes but none of them wanted to help me and didnt care if i had my medication. They dont care about there patients at all so i would defintley avoid going to that place. Most of there patients dislike the women at the front desk also. If anyone decides to look them up on here they even got complains from other people besides me. So this doctors office could be alot better than the one i went to in greenwood sc called physicians care. Oh and dont let them try to fool u about being a walk in clinic bc there not. They will say they are then once your there they want u to make appointments and never be late or they will charge u 25$ and make u wait a month before seeing u no matter what medication your in need of. They need to be fired and other doctors who treat patients need to actually care about helping them instead of only caring about there money bc our lives are much more important and im sure anyone including doctors themselves wouldwant there life in someones hands that actually cares. I have been seeing him since 10'. I met him in the mental hospital where he volunteers his time on the weekends. He seemed very caring, and still does. Yes, it is expensive for psychiatric help, but I have been unemployed since 10' and when I was visiting him every week for my schitzophrenia, while insured, he cut it down to once a month knowing I didnt have income anymore. He has been incredibly helpful with giving me samples of my anti-psychotic so I dont have to pay 700$ each time, and I really feel as if he is a good, caring doctor. That is my opinion, though and to each their own.

I am very indignant about sherbondy's treatment (or rather MISTREATMENT) of my wife who suffers from mental health problems. We went to the doctor's office and filled-out all the forms and paid the required fees. When the doctor seen my wife it was for approximately 15 minutes and he didn't get any of her mental health records from previous doctors/hospitals yet prescribed her psychotic medication. His staff gave her the wrong follow-up appointment and then refused to see my wife because we didnt have the $40 for reschedule fee. My wife had a break-down that day and ended-up in jail. I have attempted to contact the doctor and complain to no avail. He refused the certified mail I sent and now I am going to do everything in my power to have the doctor's license to "practice" revoked because he is not provided the mental health treatment to people as demanded by the law and his "Hippocrtic" oath....no pun intended.

Elizabeth Shatten is very nice and approachable. She understood abt my conform when others didn't, also made sure she was mindful of my other medications when prescribing me meds. I just think the reschedule fee is ridiculous when u have patience that struggle with mental health most of which tend to be forgetful and also when you don't have staff that answers the phones or emails when you try to reschedule. Most people that go there work in order to pay the insurance to go there, so it's kinda hard to stay glued to a phone waiting on someone to answer or respond to a email.

Absolutely the best! Dr. Sherbondy is phenomenal! He is friendly, professional, very knowledgeable, non-judgemental and easy to talk to. I appreciate that he treats the whole person and not just the mental illness. He takes time to understand the unique needs of each patient and provides specialized treatment. The Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are professional, kind and knowledgeable as well. The office also has therapists on site, to allow patients to have all their needs met in one place. I have found the wait time to be consistently minimal, with appointments starting on time. Highly recommended!

How can you have an office off of Woodruff Rd in Greenville and not allow some grace period for a late arrival. There are times that it can take you a half an hour to make it 1 mile on this road but yet this doctor will charge you $80 if you're late, even if you call before your appointment time and tell them that there's a traffic problem and you're going to be late. And this is just one of my complaints this man was recommended by the hospital that I took my daughter to and I found him to be nothing but a pill pusher today he tried to prescribe her the one pill that started all the problems. And don't think about using a credit card because they will charge you 3% of their $280 office call, but they won't inform you of this until after you gave them the credit card and they don't take checks. Personally I think he's just another doctor taking advantage of the addict epidemic that we have going on in this country.

I have been going here for several years and the only reason why I keep coming back is because of Dr. sherbondy. The staff is horrible and has been the past 3 years. I understand the policies but the lack of professionalism, communication, and people skills among the staff is ridiculous & inexcusable. Save your money and your sanity and go elsewhere.

Was actually pleased with the therapist I met until things started to go left with the plan that the therapist and I agreed upon. So I made an appointment with a doctor here, Ingle, and of course, it was an epic flop. The doctor tried to convince me, which I know for a fact is a lie, that they do not support Short Term Disability claims. The administrative staff is a complete PAIN to work with so if you’re not already anxious, you def will be after interacting with most of them. Although there is no seamless communication within the office, the easiest way to communicate with the staff is via email or visiting the practice. I’ll def be engaging HR at my job to advise them that this place does not support our employees so we shouldn’t support them by referring people here.

It is very hard to get in touch with someone in the office to confirm and appointment or cancel one, there is a $60 no show fee,(which is way too much) Seems like they would rather charge you the No Show Fee than talk to you. If it were not for Elizabeth Shatten, I would not recommend this practice, Office is all show with horrible front office staff compliance!

Office staff is a joke. Waited over 30mins before I was even checked in, then another hour before I was seen. The front desk was too busy playing with their dog to help any of the patients waiting to be seen. Was charged $65 for a new patient appointment WITH INSURANCE. Waiting room was so gross and dirty. Chairs with mystery fluids and a rug stained black in areas, and used tissues thrown into the fake plastic plants. Office policies include: $80 for missed appts, $35 for a 1-page medication PA and $15 for any additional pages. Then they charge you to file the PA!!!! I work in healthcare and I've never seen policies this horrible before. 1 appt here was all I needed to see it's not a place that actually wants to help people.......they just want your money.

Yes, I agree, the lady who answers the phones is rude. Seemingly arrogant even condescending. God forbid you know someone who might need a certain medication, I guess if you're calling for this med you are a lower class citizen. Living 800 miles away trying to get an answer assisting a friend is impossible. This place won't answer emails. You'll get the automated reply "we received your email and within 24 hours you'll hear back from us". Yeah right, good luck. No reply in 4 days. Go elsewhere. I have been a patient here since 2013. 6 years later I have never had a bad experience. All the doctors here are amazing. Dr Sherbondy saved my life. Anyone on here that has given a bad review probably just didn't get what they wanted, didn't have a real problem or just got mad because it's a legitimate doctor and they dont just hand out pills. They take the time to find out what is actually wrong with you. They help you.
