Dr. Peter Owens has to be one of the greatest physicians/confidants I've had the pleasure of meeting, simply because of his gentle, caring, insightful demeanor. When I visit his office and sit down on the sofa, I feel an instant weight removed from my shoulders. He always knows exactly what to say and always shows that he listens. And he TRULY LISTENS. I feel safe and understood. If I could give the man 10 stars, I would. He's a good soul.

Dr. Owens once revealed his philosophy about medicinal treatment for psychiatric illness: "less is better". He is no longer at Bay Laurel Center, but if you're looking for a great Psychiatrist, he is still practicing. Call Bay Laurel, as for Audra (she's awesome!), and she should point you in the right direction.

Horrible experience, made a scheduled appointment and when I showed up 30 minutes early to do paperwork they told me they made a mistake and couldn’t see me until next week. I work 50-60 hour weeks and time off isn’t easy to come by. Highly unprofessional and not accommodating to patients. Complete waste of time.
