This place needs TO BE SHUT DOWN PLEASE! I spent along time here a couple years ago I still have flash backs fro when I was there i was dealing with alot and I was bullied my staff and patients. I remember locking myself in the bathroom on the hall with a paperclip trying to die.

I had a interview here for employment when I arrive a man was at the front desk he was really rude . He acted as if I didn't have an interview he spoke to me as if I was one of the children in the facility. During the interview process I was interviewed by three people and they weren't very friendly. The person who called me from the HR department was supposed to email me some documentation for my interview and she never did.I already didn't feel comfortable attending the interview due to the reviews I'd read and needless to say the interview proved the reviews to be very true . I accepted a job offer with another organization .

-10/10 stars. This place was a truly terrible place to be. I spent four months here with UNPROFESSIONALS giving therapeutic advice and guidance to kids that were really struggling. Left No Hope with a unsolved problems and worse then when I originally went there. There were staff who ignored a fight between me and another resident when she threatened me and tried to physically harm me, and didn't do anything until I managed to walk away. I was injured because of the fight. I witnessed a lot of self harm by other residents and staff refusal to stop it. Facility hygiene was terrible: there were roaches everywhere, mold, and trash. Started out on the Transformations 1 unit.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! I worked here for many years and this place is hell. Would not send my worst enemy here. If your not brown nosing you can’t move up or get a pay raise at this job. Majority of the people that work here are messing around with each other! Which makes it a hostile environment to work in when they are mad at each other. The units are never up to standards until West Virginia or dhec etc are in the building doing an inspection. Kids are not properly treated here for their issues. Very heartbreaking place to work being that these kids are who we see majority of the time and everyday it seems like their treatment gets worse and no one bats an eye. Kids get physically and mentally mistreated by staff and they get away with it because they all click together and come up with one cohesive story.

I went to New Hope as a sophomore because my parents wanted to get me out of the house. I was only there for four months and I had no signs of bad behavior or mental health. I didn’t have a single behavioral issue while there and even before going there. The therapist named Kim at New Hope claimed I was lying to be able to go home and that my good behavior was fake. She extended my time staying there two months. Once again I proved that I was just well behaved and had no business being there. Children who have experienced traumas, and have emotional damage, are restrained in abusive ways (I’ve seen with my own eyes) have there arms restrained behind their backs and hit in their stomachs or chest to hold still. They have children shots to calm them and the staff are rude and unprofessional. Girls in my unit got into constant fights and were aggressive towards one another. The children staying here are treated horribly and their emotional damage isn’t treated with delicacy or proper care PERIOD. Never recommend this place to anyone please don’t send your child to this facility!!!

The name should be changed to “No Hope Carolinas”. This place is absolutely the worst. They fail to document and inform parents of incidents like fights, self harm, and even sexual assault. This facility is filled with staff that only care about a pay check and trying to push kids out the door to “claim” they successfully treated them. Yet their comments about treatment is that no one knows if treatment will work. We were informed by a resident that some of the staff is only nice to residents if they show them their rear end. We’ve been told the staff curses and in some cases steal from the residents. The drs and therapists are quick to blame parents for the kids behavior and lie about threatening. If your child or someone you knows child gets placed here I plead with you to advocate and have them removed immediately before it’s too late. This place has caused more damage than any place I’ve visited. Your kids will come out of there angrier, full of hate, and even doing more harm to themself. I pray for all the kids that have to deal with this place. I will be calling DSS to report them. I wish I could contact everyone on here to get everyone together to shut this horrible place down for good.

Recently I have posted a nasty post about my job and i just wanted to say that I apologize for making those remarks due to me having a bad day that day and i apologize about that. Our company is a good place for your child to attend and they will get the treatment that they deserve. We have good therapist there that will give your child the proper therapy they need to help them to function well back into society. We have senior resident counselors and new staff that are there to talk to them and give them positive encouragement as well. They will be in good hands. Thank you and have a blessed day.

Personally for me New Hope got me through a lot of problems. Not the place in general but the peers on my unit. I went in to new hope a complete wreck. The girls on my unit encouraged me to eat more and helped me realize my self worth. But, for the place in general it smelled like complete mold and they had roaches crawling all over the building. The milk was mostly always spoiled and the food was never warm enough. Most of the staff didn't even know how to deal with kids/teens that had mental issues. They only showed up for the pay check. The highlight of my stay was the girls on my unit and very few staff.

PLEASE LISTEN TO ME !! I spent 1 WHOLE YEAR OF MY LIFE IN THIS PLACE !!! Do NOT send you children here !! I wouldnt wish this place on anyone its prison for kids basically !!! I keep contact with all the girls i connected with in there and it made all of us worst !!! So many bad things happen in there and if your child DOESNT HAVE MENTAL PROBLEMS THEY WILL WEN THEY LEAVE !! In this place i learned to self harm in this place i learned to snort my medicine !!! I never did things at home like that !!!! This is the ABSOLUTE WORSE place to take your child or anyone that you care about. These people don't give two coins about your child, how you as a parent feel or nothing of the sort. They do all kinds of things to your kids by any means necessary. They don't care if it means darn near killing them and the reason you're not allowed to have electronic devices because the staff as well as personnel know that they are doing things unlawful and that is really considered to be abuse to the kids there They pretend to look into your concerns, but the truth be told the staff and case managers know what go on here. They tell you what you want to hear, just to get you out their hair I think this place should be audited by the state and pushed over with the point of no return. I just wonder how some of the workers, management and whoever came up with this scam sleep at night, knowing you are tearing a person's life all to HELL, but as they say Karma has a way of showing back up at your door. Whoever thinks this place is ran appropriately and have anything to do with how the residents are treated, I really truly hope you all burn or the same happen to your kid or family member. The kids go like 10 steps backwards while in these people care, no improvement at all and they absolutely treat these kids as filthy animals. They are not concerned about their mental state, wish the worse on the kids and don't give them anything to look forward to or any hope for their future, As a parent I hate this place and wouldn't recommend it for a dead person's science project. It's horrible, you don't have the right to see where your kids are sleeping or anything, never known a place to be so heartless and not care about people's well being. I will say when you send a person here, make sure it's your last resort and you have no love left for that person because they treat them like total trash, making the loved one feel blameful or bad for ever signing to get them help you thought would change them. NEVER AGAIN IF MY CHILD MAKES IT OUT ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son came to New Hope Treatment Center in Rock Hill SC to the LEAP Autism Program. It was an amazing program for my son and our entire family. LEAP is an ABA behavioral centered program. The BCBA’s and the entire staff are well trained and very knowledgeable. The staff has a positive uplifting attitude. They kept great data on his sleep, diet and behaviors. Our son was happy here . Every time we had an off campus visit he looked forward to returning back to New Hope. They have an accredited on site school, we had regular family/staff team meetings, my son called home every night and I got to see him weekly. I can’t thank LEAP enough for how many improvements they made in the life of our son.

I was there for barely 3 months. I barely ever harmed myself and only was depressed just a bit. I went to that he'll hole and it ruined me. I witnessed things there no one should have to ever witness... I began hurting myself daily. Got bullied by peers and staff. Attempted suicide twice was called an attention.seeker and got no help. If u attempt suicide more than twice they'll just kick u out. They sent me home while I was suicidal. Staff it brighten their day to restrain little girls. They gossip about residents. They had huge roaches and thousands of ladybugs and mold. There were screws from the doors everywhere so kids can harm themselves. This was over a year ago now and I have to attend therapy now solely because of the PTSD caused by new hope.

I was sent to New Hope Carolinas and it was the worst experience I’ve ever went through. It’s a very unorganized, negative facility. You are treated as though you’re just another kid with mental problems and you aren’t taken serious ever. It’s a dirty run down place. They would place us in small rooms in very uncomfortable chairs with a tv in our face all day every day. The staff don’t care about you, they just come for that paycheck. Staff will taught you and play with you just to see you explode. New Hope will hire anyone that’s how desperate they are. We never went outside, maybe once a week if we were lucky. The food was horrible. Multiple times there was hair in my food or something was spoiled/gone bad. The whole place sets off bad vibes. It’s a very depressing place to be. The ONLY bright side about New Hope was Mrs. Moses, my therapist and Mr. Jay. If somehow they see this, I appreciate you guys. ❤️ Over all, if your child is struggling, do not send them here. I know for a fact they won’t come back the same way they went in.

So I was a client here for about eight months. Honestly I do not recommend sending anyone you care about to this facility. The majority of the staff have no idea what they’re doing and they are there for the pay. There is a reason they will not let you see where your child is sleeping, eating, bathing, living etc. The “units” as they like to call them, are absolutely filthy and unsafe (by the way where your children are staying looks NOTHING like the lobby or visitation/meeting rooms!) There are bugs, bats, and small rodents that run amuck around the place along with mold and broken fixtures. There are broken heaters and A/C units (a girl on my unit got physically burned by a broken heater and had to seek medical assistance immediately) alongside showers and toilets that don’t function. Now do not get me wrong the therapy is decent for the most part and there are about a handful of staff that actually care about these client’s wellbeing, but a lot of the newer staff seem to lack knowledge about mental illness and how to handle someone with even a mild mental illness/delay, let alone a severe one. If your child or the child of a loved one gets placed here, please, please advocate for them to be placed somewhere else. I don’t know how this place keeps passing inspections and audits!

I hear everyone's anxiety fear and frustrations with new hope, please as a parent of a child like yours stay away from three rivers in Columbia sc, and willow glenn in Florence county sc they broke my sons arm n collar bone The post and courier of sc did a front page report in 2015 about tip worse treatment facilities and we talked about what took place at these two places. Sadly, there's not enough help or programs, Sc is the lowest paying state from Medicaid to drs, therapists, and any other cbt, or behavior modification therapy. Which puts us parents in dire need for help. We seek out treatment facilities in hopes they are safe and helpful, when our children are not safe in their homes or we are not safe around our children. BUT they are making our children worse, staff is heartless, and we are left with no help, and a child worse than before. So now what? IDK, and I'm still searching answers praying something is found somewhere even if it's relocating to another state.

I have been here a little less than two months and it is hell. the staff cuss and yell at the residents, not taking the time to realize that that really triggers so many of us. They do restraints sometimes for no reason until the people throw up. They are very understaffed causing the residents to suffer when they need something. Right now, they just got a few new staff, but others are still leaving left and right. This place is not therapeutic in any way at all. there are some staff who do generally care like Ms. sosha (if you treat her right) Ms watson, Ms. curtis, Mr. jay and maybe a few others, but overall, if you truly want help new hope Carolina is not the place to go.

This is the worst place in the world. A bunch of unprofessional people who are paid to take care of troubled kids. Staff parks in handi cap parking, talked about about me to my son in sexual context. Never returned money left for my son, never got glasses he received while there. The kids there don't get better, they get worse. They tell you one thing and do another. I was allowed to talk to my son everyday until I started getting people in trouble for there inappropriate actions (telling my son they want to be his dad and how hot I was) , then all of a sudden I could not ever speak to him. They knew my son would tell me the horrors of what was happening in that hell hole and I was going to take appropriate actions!! Place is a joke and should be shut down! I took my son out of there before he was suppose to be taken out, best thing I ever did. Would not send my worst enemy there
