Was advised by a staff member that the whole facility is roach infested with giant cockroaches, and that staff act like patients are 'seeing things' when they see the roaches. She watches roaches crawl on patients while they sleep on the security cameras. Don't go here.

Doctor Parsons diagnosed me with depression and anxiety. Wrong. PTSD Major Depression, Anxiety. You people don't care whether a person kills themselves or not. Dr Parsons overdosed me on Cymbalta. I was gasping for breath. What's the difference if I kill myself or you Dr Parsons. You're a sworn medical provider. You caused me to almost die. When I got home it took weeks to get your dose of overdose out of my system and then your whole Brownell Center will no longer see me as a patient. I hope you all have nightmares and flashbacks and major depression anxiety and hurt in the chest screaming for someone to stop hurting you. I hope you all get fired Sorry but you don't care about your patients. I begged for help because I couldn't understand what I read and couldn't concentrate. You know which doctor wouldn't help at Brownell Center.When I kill myself it's on your shoulders. All you care about is your paycheck and the heck with people who need help.

First of all, the staff does not care about the patients. I had a nurse tell me "you don't know what you're talking about because you're on a lot of medication." I had my doctor visit me one time. The doctors do not monitor you while you are on new medications. I was prescribed two new medications and was not monitored by my doctor. He came and saw me one time. I wake up 3 days after taking medication, eyes were swollen shut, 100 degree fever, and blood pressure 80/50. I notified my nurse and said I needed to see the doctor because I was having an allergic reaction. He refused to see me, even though he prescribed me the medicine. I told the nurses to call him or send me to ER. They stated "You don't meet the requirements to see your doctor." I told them to discharge me so I could go to the ER. They stated that the doctor didn't feel comfortable with discharging me, yet he couldn't have the decency to come see me while I was having an allergic reaction. They ended up discharging me and didn't even allow me to get my belongings. Do not EVER go here. And Marshall Pickens, do not think that this battle is over. I will fight for myself, and everyone else in that place that has gotten or will get treated this way.

Went in for my depression. I just couldn’t shake being sad and worried. I am coming forward to say I really was helped. I feel so much better about my life. I want to thank the staff for all their surport. Everyone needs a mind vacation to hit the reset button sometimes. I saw thing s smaller and easier to handle. Thanks, Christina

One star because they don’t know how to communicate with their patients or the family members. They don’t disclose any information to the patient. You have one “DR” say one thing, a nurse another, a social worker another and another “DR” say something else. It’s a money racquet in this place. If you can avoid it do not send a family member here.

Had my son placed there and within 10 days they released him, they changed his meds and within three days of changing his meds they released him late at night no where to go. Never monitored him to ensure the meds worked, he was extremely delusional, making no sense, but this mental hospital thought he was ok out in the world.

The doctors and nurses molested my girlfriend tied her down to a bed and raped then when she tried to get help the doctors told her she was imaging it please don't have this happen to ur loved ones and stay far away from that terrible place

If you love anyone do not place them here I was here at twelve years old two years ago and it was awful they dragged me by my hair to a isolated room and locked me in there they made me do things I did not want to do 15 adults would lay on top of me becaus they wanted to drag me to the isolated room but I did not let them but I had to or I would be seriously hurt they were not friendly and they don't care about the kids don't send anyone!!!you love!!

This place was not good for me I went there to get help strangly enough I got worse was just kept giving medications based on what they thought they knew and oh my goodness it was terrible the horror I came in on one medication which was my seizure medication they took that away from me I end up having three seizures in one day after leaving the hospital almost lost my life due to how those seizures happened when your told you have epilepsy and a therapist tells you your not and takes you off your meds beware because some bad may happen yes I was having bad withdrawals from a medication when I went in there also know as vibryd I was very suicidal I think they thought I was a joke and piled a bunch of meds on me it was horrific to say the least if I ever need help again this will not be the place I go

My young adult daughter needed to be at Pickens. They were wonderful to her and to our family. Staff were caring and supportive.

I never heard such screaming, cursing, and hollering from other patients. I was fortunate to be released. I think God must have been looking out for me. Male and female patients board the same unit. The other patients are allowed to roam freely anywhere on the unit and even into your own room. The bed is hard as a brick and not enough blankets. They make you dress out in a scrub suit that does not even entirely cover your body. I never been so glad to be set free. Surely, this place could make some major improvements. You get put there after they drug you up and will not let you out. It needs investigating desperately. Very dangerous. The patients deserve much better. They dont mind using up your medicare. Thank you for allowing me to tell you about what happened. Have a nice day.
