This place is a joke. Went in on Monday and I was told that there would be a 5-7 hour wait. I then asked when a good time to come would be and I was told either late at night or early in the morning. I decided to go Wednesday at midnight since I work during the day. I was checked in and still told that there would probably be a 5 1/2 hour wait. I saw people coming and going, but I sat there for 14 hours before getting seen by the doctor. I do not have a regular doctor, so it was either wait or go without my medication, which I could not do. This is the most disorganized facility that I have ever seen. What they did was gross negligence. I would not refer my worst enemy here.

Best place I've been for my mental health

This place is a joke nurses are extremely rude they're ignorant they are evil to the mental patients being treated they are unorganized they do they get results screwed up with other people it's very dirty and disgusting the patients are left on cots in the hallways they are not in beds the nurses are Beyond rude do not bring any of your loved ones here take them to Presbyterian

I am not one much for negative reviews, but I feel as though that this is necessary to review this place. Unfortunately this facility is run very poorly. Apparently the techs are not paid enough because they are useless at this place. They are apathetic and indifferent towards all the patients and just watch netflix and youtube on their laptops all day. Honestly, all the techs currently there should be fired except for a few. I feel like this place has more of a prison atmosphere than a hospital atmosphere. This is possibly the reason no one wants to receive help for psychiatric problems. I honestly feel bad knowing that there are still people stuck in this place. Please do not send any loved ones here, they are honestly probably better off not going here. The psychiatrists only see you for about 1 minute a day, and that's if they even come in that day. Very disappointed in this place, I would love to work for administration and make it a better place though.

DO NOT GO HERE if you have insurance and have a choice. Anyone without insurance can go here. Need I say more? If you are a female and having a mid-life crisis due to being harassed by idiots, I advise you to drink a glass of wine, go to sleep and see if the next day is better and make an appointment to see your regular doctor. You will be kept against your will only so they can capitalize off of your short-lived shortcomings and the fact that you have insurance (how they make their money). What you think maybe just a few hours to see a doctor can turn into a nightmare real fast. If you are lucky you’ll only be there for one week. They will do everything possible to irritate you and to add insult to injury. From having your picture taken with no clothes on to the fancy quote on your room door of “Well done is better than well said” (guess that means you should have just taken a bullet to your head before seeking their help), is only a part of your welcoming. Hope some perverts don’t get to view those nude pictures. And when you finally get out your intelligence level hopefully hasn’t been tarnished enough to realize when you receive your bill it will be over inflated due to their incompetent billing department who doesn’t know how to code correctly. Be prepared to dig through your insurance billing policy and to tell them how to handle to your account so you aren’t paying the price of a brand new automobile. Save yourself the frustration if you are a middle-aged female who is most likely going through “the change” and take the money that you’ll spend for your out of pocket deductible for your one week of hostage-like stay and take a vacation or better yet go have some plastic surgery to lift your spirits. You’ll feel as if you should have been compensated for your troubles having made the unfortunate mistake to entering through the ER door at Carolinas Behavioral Health.

The one thing I can tell you is: if you have the choice, avoid this hospital at all costs. Whether it be the lethal, addictive and brain-altering drugs they put you under, or the trauma of the 'treatment' they put you under, this is classic psychiatry at it's most destructive. You would be better off searching for more holistic methods (i.e. acupuncture, meditation, etc.)

I can only speak to the doctors office as I was not here for an emergency situation. I’ve had awful side effects to a bc pill and was still having fallout after stopping taking it. I had an appointment for medication management with Dr. Schindler and she was very courteous, took lots of notes, and was thorough in her assessment of what I’ve been through. I felt as though she listened to me and genuinely cared about the best path forward for me. The only downside is that the office is a bit of a mess to get to; you have to go down a hallway to the basement and you have to assume that the desk is the correct one as there is zero signage for anything but the cafeteria and the pharmacy. The desk assistant could have stood to be more personable; I felt as though I was a bit of an annoyance. Overall, very good experience here for the actual care I received.

The fact that they no longer accept individuals who do not have health insurance is what is wrong with this country. People who GENUINELY need help are turned away which is arguably a crime in and of itself.

I have severe complaints against this location. With the doctor Melendez and several other staff members, who laughed me. They are bullies and harass you here, and will send you against your will somewhere you don't need to be just to get a quota, and sometimes that place will put your mental health in a worse bind. It's not about mental health and treatment here, it's about MONEY. I'm thankful other people have had similar experiences here with this place because it's honestly Hell. And by going here, you'll be worse than when you first came in. This place is traumatic beyond belief .

If I could give nothing I would this is absolutely ridiculous and makes no since how long you have to wait to be seen they have no order, care or concern for the patients warfare The staff is rude and have this is don't give a blank attitude. This is the worst I just came in to get a prescription refill. In we've being waiting four hours never again.

Arica Jinks

I was treated very poorly on 2nd to 3rd shift. I was not comfortable at all. The entire night staff sleeping at the desk while we are thinking they are on duty protecting us. Men and Women side by side. Very scary, I got to the place I would get up in the middle of the night just to make sure the staff was awake. Then as soon as they seen me they would jump up pretending to be busy. Food was good, but it was always cold. Loved some of the other residents and enjoyed some of the programming. Many of the staff looked down their noses at us(patients) I feel they were thinking they are smarter and stronger that the patients, who each one of us pay their paycheck! I had insurance, and I couldn't believe how hard it was to get a Mt.Dew. Just asked for one Mt.Dew per day. No way! Also was suppose to be able to use a laptop for an hour every day, never happened the entire stay. The Doctor wrote the order, then no one followed thru with his orders. He ordered a hospital bed for me, due to spinal surgery and a hip replacement. Never happened, didn't seem to be important to the staff. I was also told that I could speak with the Head of the hospital, and again this did not happen. Lots of miscommunication. Very little professional team work. Also treating all patients with one mind set is a serious mistake.

HORRIBLE. I have postpartum, anexity & depression. One of the employees gave me the wrong date & time for my appointment!! Now, I can’t see/make an appointment with the person I was seeing because of THE EMPLOYEES fault. You can contact a manager/supervisor and the employees can email the manager/supervisor but, NOBODY will get back to you. This has been going on for MONTHS SINCE LAST YEAR I haven’t received call back from a manager/ supervisor SINCE. I will say, dealing with this hospital your mental health will NEVER get better. UNPROFESSIONAL should be shut down for business. I called today because my meds are running low and they don’t work anymore which I’ve told but no concern WHAT SO EVER. and STILL the same excuse the “manager/supervisor is out” UNPROFESSIONAL ONCE AGAIN.

I took my son for his 3rd ER visit due to homicidal thoughts and thoughts of hurting himself. My son said he needed to go. The DR on Sunday understood the we needed to keep our family safe. My son wanted to kill us all and this isn't the first time. The DR that sees him during the week doesn't listen to my son and discharges him as "safe". My son isn't allowed to go to school because he wants to kill people. But I ask the ER staff why he's given a school note and they state "he's safe for school". While IN this ER my son CUT HIS ARMS. They brushed it off. That was the first time he ever did that. How did they allow that to happen? They ask my son if he wants to hurt people AT THAT MOMENT, he says they will ask him several times to get he answer they want. He says in the moment, he isn't thinking of it, but the ACTUAL DESIRE TO KILL PEOPLE NEVER GOES AWAY. I'm a mom reaching out for help for a kid that obviously needs help and I'm continually turned away. I have called pretty much every therapy place in town and they've said they can't deal with this kind of child. I have been turned away from DSS. I have called DJJ and they can't help. I have called the sheriffs dept and they say the same as everywhere else, take him to the ER. When I take my son to the ER they play these games with me and offer NO help. If my son kills me or anyone else, it's on them. I'm leaving this here as a reminder that parents can be good parents and try very hard to get their children help and be continually turned away. I don't just leave my son in the ER because I don't want to have DSS turn on me and get my other kids taken away. That happens to people and my other two have asked me to never put them in that situation. My son needs help and HE knows this on some level. He told me tonight on the way home from the ER that he will kill me one day, it doesn't matter how good I am to him, I can give him whatever he asks for and he will still kill me. He told me not to take it personal, he just needs to kill me. Thank you Behavioral Health Services, specially the DR who releases my son and to the social worker Michael F. for speaking to my son, seeing him IN PAIN ASKING FOR HELP and you turning your back on him. You are a sorry excuse for a person. If my son hurts anyone, I hold you responsible also.

Kelly Jamison

I spent a week at the hospital, in February. Every staff member was professional, courteous and patient. The group therapy sessions were my favorite. I came out with a new sense of hope!!

Ashley Horton

This is absolutely the worst behavioral health care center I have ever been to I would not recommend this to any one the staff but he’s like animals they have no respect for the patients and I was actually physically assaulted by a staff member

I stayed at 2East of the adolescent behavioral health side for 5 days. This was one of the most boring and least helpful places I have ever been to. The staff are very rude especially during what they called "goals group" you would basically "come up" with a goal from a list of like 20 goals and then when it was your turn you would say "My name is blank I am (age) I am here for blank and my goal for today is blank. It felt as they would shoot me down like my problems were irrelevant and it was all in my head and I could control it so easily. The staff obviously didn't want to be there and they acted the equivalent of a drive thru worker at mcdonalds on freedom drive would act. The food was almost always bad even for hospital standards. Levine children's hospital food is miles better. They lost 2 sets of my clothes and I had to leave without them. They didn't even let me do the survey that they are supposed to hand out at the end of my stay and instead had my mom do it which she also knew the conditions of the place and gave it a terrible rating. I wouldn't be surprised if they looked at the rating and saw it was bad and threw it in the garbage. The beds were very hard to sleep on and since you had to keep your door open at night it would be hard to sleep. I feel bad that the other kids at 2East are still suffering right now as I am typing this. They also were being like reviewed by people today and yesterday and tried to make the place look way better than it actually is. Something about having all the information about the kids on the screen when they are supposed to be hidden and certain things i heard as I arrived at first from levines. Long story short don't ever trust these people with your life

when I first got to this place it was bc I had an appointment but it turned upside down bc the therapist decided to be rude and say I was trying to “commit suicide” which I wasn’t. so you have to wait 4 hours for some doctor that don’t even know you to tell you and decide whether if your good enough to “go back into society” they dress you up and overall I hate it. i only liked the snacks.

Made me terrified to ever go back to inpatient therapy.

Very scary place to visit. More like a prison than a place for help. From the receptionist To the nurses and doctors you are doomed. I pray for each and every patient entering this facility!

Gary Summers

I spent the nite in the intake ctr,,,Whilst I was there there was no beds available patients were sleeping in mats on the floor. Also they don't tell you but once you pass through the double doors your locked in till you see a Dr.I will never go back there.. Presby main is by far the best place to go for Behavioral health..

I've been going here since December for refills on my sleep medication. The billing/insurance staff is extremely disorganized. They will guess what your co-pay is when you pay it up-front. I was double-charged for co-pays on multiple occasions without a refund. They also forget to file claims with your insurance. It is extremely challenging to schedule appointments and you rarely receive return phone calls which is concerning because a lot of the behavioral health patients actually require attention due to their issues. Do not make an appointment here.

Called in for prescription refills last week. They filled all but one. I called back and they told me that I am not on a medication I've been taking for over a year. The medication was given to me by them and only them. They looked at my file again and said oh yeah. You do take this. 3 days off these meds. I was told they would try to get it called in today. I missed work today because I'm having withdrawal. This place needs to pull it together. My Doctor is great but the staff are rude and nasty on the phone. I'll be getting a new doctors office this week. I don't feel safe any longer at this practice. This is unacceptable and dangerous. Watch out folks. Update. I called today to double check my appointment scheduled for tomorrow. I was told it was cancelled. There's my sign to leave. Horrible service. Beware!!

Hated it and unfortunately continue to hate it until we find someplace that can offer the same services. Aside from it being a scary place to take a loved one for treatment, they are not very good with much of any process within a medical facility, (at least not customer facing processes). In the 8 months or so we have leveraged this facility every appointment has run tremendously late and often encroaches the hour past or longer range before seeing the doctor. Also this facility will cancel appointments with Psychiatrist and not inform you! I am talking about a managed medication regiment ... they cancel an appointment with a doctor ... and then don't even inform you! This place really needs some help. I know the mental health industry in the US is pathetic at best and this facility is definitely not exceeding those national expectations.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE! My wife has postpartum depression and needed a little help getting through a tough time and coming here was the worst idea we've ever had. They were not clear at all about any of the forms she signed in order to be seen or get treatment, then after hours of waiting and finally being seen by a counselor, they were just going through a pre-programmed procedure that they do with everyone no matter what your complaint is. After I had a long time to talk with her (during the wait and after the wait), she said she felt better and was looking forward to coming back for her counseling/therapy sessions, that's when they informed us that she was not going to be able to leave and had to stay here no matter what - period. I think she also said they gave her some unknown pills to try to heavily sedate her and then made her try to sleep on a paper thin cot in the middle of the hallway with fluorescent lights on. She was spoken to like a hated animal by all of the staff and she said one of the people tried sexually harassing her (borderline sexually assaulting her) and no one ever noticed nor cared. When she tried saying something after her encounter, they just forced her to take more sedatives against her will to make her shut up. The entire time there were patients there being admitted that were clearly in the middle of psychotic breakdowns and highly dangerous, that were kept in the same area as my wife. Another patient had made violent threats to her and terrified my wife, and no one could do anything to get her out. I was trying to talk to the doctors and staff to which they said they were going to have the police arrest me or admit me if I didn't leave. What type of world is this, where this can go unnoticed? My wife shared her story with other close friends that went through postpartum depression and we discovered that this same type of malpractice has been going on for years and years and no one will or can do anything about it. I'm sharing this in an effort to help anyone that may be considering this place. This is a very dangerous place that should not be in business.

Taking my son to this facility was a huge mistake. It really needs to be closed down. Who ever is in charge should be made to go through the system, and then fire this person. Waited over 7 hours on a Monday mid afternoon. Worst part was we never saw a actual Psychiatrist, we so a nurse practitioner. It was humiliating having to try and explain our situation to someone with little to no experience. ATTEMPTING to tell my wife and I that his problem is vaping and to much iPhone screen time. This was causing his depression and anxiety. AAHHHH It's no wonder NC mental health system scored an F. It's only because there is not a lower grade much like this. CMC should be ashamed of themselves. SEVEN HOURS!!! THAT SHOULD SAY IT ALL

Monica Vazquez

Long long wait just to end up 4 hours later to say that this is a psychiatric emergency center and that we are not considered an emergency, They could have told us at the reception or even in at the triage stage. Essentially the psychiatrist spent barely 5 minutes with us, saying he can not solve our problem in an hour however he could have gave more suggestions other then simply referring us to a therapist

Amir Valentine

This place is extremely unprofessiona, at many times I've seen them laugh at the mentally ill and abuse them. This place is definite need of a undercover governmental audit. They also stole from me.

If you love someone in need of assistance, do not, repeat - do not - bring them here. All of the 1 star reviews are right on. The docs are not good, period. Repeat: they are not good on anything but white lab mice. Nursing staff is snotty, the floors are dirty and I can see how all of the horror stories detailed here are true. Don't bring your precious cargo to a muffler shop for an oil change, it'll never run the same again.

My daughter & I arrived at this location around 6 pm & have been waiting over 7 hours to be seen. She explained to the nurse her serious situation of having withdrawals symptoms of a medication she was taking off. The nurse nor the doctor showed no concern about how she was feeling as long as it wasn't a suicide attempt. So we had to stay here until she was seen. We wanted to leave but I was concerned for her health when we got home without the proper medicine. I would not suggest anyone bringing their family member here unless it was life or death situation. She takes 3 mgs of zanax & only took 1 mg earlier today. It was past the time she normally take before bed but they refuse to give her another one & insisted she take a urine test instead then still never came back to her to say anything. The office is poorly staff, in addition to no one letting you know how much longer the wait was. There is no excuse, nor reasoning for treatment such as this.

Sorry in advance for the wall of text. For some reason my last review was removed without notice. I have had 12-14 hour waits here as well. I was told that they take patients based on the severity of their problem, not by order of arrival. I can not guarantee this however due to the fact that I was also referred from the emergency room to the walk in clinic to have a prescription filled. The medication is a type 2 controlled substance and will not be prescribed by the walk in clinic. I have been in outpatient treatment here since 2008 and know their hospital procedures pretty well by now. The Dr. on duty at the emergency room should have known the prescription would not have been filled there, It has been a policy set since the walk in clinic service first started. That's why people have to go to the emergency room for certain prescription issues. If I know that they should as well. I have had many issues with this facility since I first started coming there for treatment. A few examples are: 1. Coming to the ER for treatment, being triaged, and seen by a DR and discharged, but having my medical records indicate that I left before being seen. I have hard copies of my discharge papers, and a hard copy of the highly inaccurate medical record entry. 2. I have been told by the walk in clinic that the emergency room would not fill my Schedule 2 medications, and that I would have to wait to see my Dr on my next scheduled visit to get them filled. That statement is also inaccurate, as I have records of me getting these same medications filled at the ER on two previous visits there, again hard copy records from their own facility stating this had been done. 3. I was flagged as a marijuana user due to a positive result on a urine test, once. Every other screening test I have taken before and after this one test resulted in a negative return on all screening panels. Including the tests the month before, and the month after the positive result was listed. Again hard copies of all of this provided by their own facility. I was never notified that the screening showed up positive, or I would have requested another screening, or gone to Labcorp myself and paid out of pocket for an independent screening to dispute their findings. which leads me to... 4. I have had several entries made in my medical records like the above without any notice given to me that this had been ever been done. The only way I actually found out about it was that a psychiatrist I had seen had asked me about my marijuana use, and showed me where they had me flagged as abusing marijuana and immediately ordered another screening, when I told him I had never done illegal drugs, which came back of course negative for all drugs screened. So she removed the flag from my records, after she reviewed the results. There are several entries like the one I first described here, where I have discharge papers from the ER but am listed as patient left before being seen, with no record of why I came to the ER and the doctors decision on my issue, I was flagged as abusing a type 2 controlled substance by an ER doctor in my medical records, yet have hard copies from my pharmacy that shows I had the prescription for that medication filled the day after I was flagged, issued by the very same doctor, because they did not accurately list that I was actively taking said medication in my medication summary. Why would a doctor prescribe me a script for a type 2 controlled substance, the day after he flagged me for abuse of it? Obviously, if it were true he never should have. If you go here, get hard copies of EVERYTHING. Make a My Carolina's account and review every record they have in your file, again if possible make hard copies of any discrepancies you find. You will need them. The only things they have ever done accurately, and expeditiously since I started going there is. Take my co-payments, and bill me for services. Do not go here, unless like me, you cannot afford to go anywhere else.

A doctor here told me, verbatim, "I'm not paid to care!" and boy do they mean it. If you want pills thrown at you with no concern for safety or efficacy, then by all means come here. If you value your life, keep looking.

How can clinicians be so rude and uncaring.

Rosie Banks

Horrible treatment of the “mentally ill” felt like I was 3/5 of a person. I have traumatic memories from being mistreated here that negatively influence me. It seems nice at first glance but once you are an inpatient you are stripped of your voice and rights. Had a psychiatrist tell me he’s a “pill pusher” are you kidding, at least he was somewhat honest- they will try to put you on as much medication as they can and persuade you to up and/or stay on medications causing side effects. I can’t tell you how much I hate this place. Stay away from here and get real help for you or your loved ones somewhere else please.

Shonda Powe

This hospital is so backward till its so wicked. All the co workers that work on 1 South like Kenya trying to claim me and my daughter on her taxes, as well as 1 North kept giving me the wrong medication because of Dr. Dionme. This all took place last year. I never want to go back to this hospital. Duces

Elizabeth Reich

Would rate 0 if possible. How can you call yourself a mental "health" facility and knowingly send a homicidal boy back home to be with the family members he has repeatedly threatened to kill?! Have you not seen the numerous reports of school shootings and parent murders by children in the news? This is why these things happen, because of so called caregivers who don't care at all.

Jay Aikens

Horrible place and a waste of funding. The doctors here are all questionable and the other comments about them not doing a thing for ppl. Well that's all true. If I had insurance I would never have set foot in this place. And they treat every patient like they are junkies. Even if there's absolutely no history to back it up. So if you come be ready to take that $100 piss test off the gate and keep an eye on the nurses. I did a urine test and they botched it and said it was me. I can't wait to find somewhere else to go. Update: I asked for my medical records stenting almost 10 years with this facility and was sent bits and pieces and after careful review by multiple people, every one of them come to the conclusion they were hiding things. I agreed because one year in i met the lead doctor and he was amazing for years and wrote everything and followed up every time i visit. Not one of his notes were included for years of treatment (the only proper treatment i ever recieved) like i never met him. After reviewing what they did release it was full of all the lies and terrible first impressions they claimed by me. Every practitioner (there was only 2 actual doctors which I am including in this statement) lied and wrote these lies as fact on all my records. After the DOCTOR that was actually professional and took pride in his line of work left I was told by his replacement that his practice was old and odd and this facility was an absolute nightmare since. So I can never be treated properly ever again after a chainsaw accident I discovered I had been red listed at all surrounding hospitals even though iv never seeked help in a regular hospital. Only at Billingsley and they ruined my mental health and any chance of addressing such a long lasting illness. I lost my younger brother who went through the exact same nightmare there. My step brother was homicidal and suicidal and admitted himself and was thrown out towards the parking lot in the middle of the same night he seeked help and ended up trying to stab me with a military k-bar knife days later. I had to fight for my life. All the good reviews and I mean ALL of them are fabricated. I trusted them from age 19-28 and about 4 years of medical history was unaccounted for and after a 3rd request I was simply ignored. After all the unprofessionalism, wrong meds, days being without meds was a norm. Narcotics or not. Very dark period of my life and truly felt like there was no light at the end of this tunnel. I now co-own a very successful business going on 5 years without one visit. Maintain a 4.8 star rating through home advisor. Stopped all meds and seeking help with these guys aginst their insisting I was making a grave mistake and it took me 3 months to get used to just dealing with me and face my issues head on. This approach may not be for everyone but I went there so long I was left with no choice after an altered medical file. Best personal decision I have ever made. I'm more confident with myself than I ever felt through their insults and degrading talks. For people seriously wanting to see a little light in your tunnel, ull never find it here. I dident and in the end about 6 years ago I dealt with every practitioner and the 2 doctors and was rejected from being seen by every single one of them after they review my records with them. A male practitioner stated "here's your drugs your after." The state or county seriously needs to put a few of their top representatives through just the initial process. Its borderline inhuman from an out patient p.o.v. I made sure to lie for years to avoid inpatient treatment. I have seen staff drag ppl off against their will even if they were acting reasonable and politely asking to walk behind the double doors themselves instead of being dragged in front of out patient customers which has to be absolutely humiliating. It leaves a very sick feeling inside to see it over and over just to try to get someone to take me serious and actually listen. This place will cause you more health issues than u showed up over. FACTS.

Justin Fieulleteau

I didn't know that this hospital was in the area, i just want to extend my gratitude to the staff as well as Alexandra she was beyond amazing

If I could give negative stars I would. This place is a joke and I should have listened to the reviews. I mean all CHS offices are disorganized and incompetent but this one is the winner. I only needed a medication refill, thats the only reason I went there and they made me come for a separate intake appointment, took my copays but then sent me a bill for $140 when my insurance company assured me they would be covered. The bill is because of how they file, but they knew this when they were taking my copays. The staff is very unprofessional, the receptionists (who have an attitude with everyone) were talking about how they accidentally billed a lady over $200 earlier that day when she was actually in network and she was covered. I should have ran when I heard that.

Tremendous system improvements last 2 yrs. Most appointments are set within 6 days for counseling & psychiatric. New clients too! Emergency intake 24/7; assess, stabilize then transfer to specialized treatment IF needed. Insurance or no insurance. They'll take you. Pharmacy is on-site has better prices than Walmart. Have used all three of the above mentioned areas of treatment. There's also a detox facility but I don't have any experience with it. Facility is equipped to deal with with children, teens and adults having suicidal thoughts, self harm, eating disorders, bad reactions to meds, medication management, depression, bipolar & the swings, PTS, grief, stress, ADD, ADHD, mania, thoughts of hurting or harming others. New patients are worked in quickly. Four years ago a new patient couldn't get an appointment as none of the psychiatrists on staff were taking new patients. Four years ago I couldn't even find a private practice psychiatrist who would take Blue Cross! Had pay out of pocket $175-$300 per session, even thought I had great insurance. I am extremely grateful to have this facility & the booking changes they've implemented. No car? No problem. Take the bus. The building is right in front of bus stop. If you need mental health services and maybe gave up on this facility a while back... I highly recommend you try them again. High marks & praise from an extremely grateful mom whose daughter is not only alive, but thriving because of their help.

EMPLOYEES HERE ARE VERY RUDE! They all seem to have such a NASTY ATTITUDE! This place needs to TRIAN THESE PEOPLE RIGHT OR FIRE THEM AND HIRE PEOPLE WHO WILL DO THE JOB RIGHT! If they DISLIKE THE JOB ENOUGH TO HAVE AN ATTITUDE THEY JUST JUST QUIT AND LOOK FOR SOMETHING ELSE!!!!!!!!!!

This place traumatized me and helped me become an even more mentally ill individual, so much so I can barely attempt to reach out for inpatient help. If you value someone's mental health, DONT! LET! THEM! GO! HERE!

Do not go to this hospital. Even if in crisis mode, they will take you immediately to the back and you will still wait. I was there for 9 hrs, voluntarily, and was not seen. After getting there, a nurse called me into a room. We immediately figured out that I needed a med adjustment but I still had to wait. And wait I did. I asked for a medication that I was way past due for but they couldn't give it to me because I hadn't seen the Dr. The nurse checked my files, asked me about prescriptions written for me by my primary, just to make sure I didn't forget if I had a prescription I forgot about. Next thing, they ask me for a urine sample. I guess I may have been a drug seeker at this point. 2 hrs later, still nothing. So I walked out. No one was at a desk for me to let them know but I wouldn't have said anything anyway. I would probably still be waiting because the patient that got there 10 min before me was in the back and still hadn't been seen. I've never felt so disrespected, as someone with a mental issue, as I did waiting at this place that I voluntarily went to, acknowledging that I needed help, honestly feeling like they couldn't care less. I will never go to this place ever again. And they wonder why people self medicate.

NEVER GO HERE. This place is inhumane. Go absolutely anywhere else for mental health help.

If I could give anything under a 1 star I would .the system is so screwed up. There have been several folks that have been in there seeking help due to suicidal thoughts and other factors that prove they need help only to be told they are over worked and over stressed. They turn people away who really need help. I can only pray that the ones they turn away do not do anything to hurt themselves because there would be a law suit against them. People in the mental health field need to be taught to not only listen but really hear what the person is saying. Not everyone is just looking for pills. I am ashamed of our mental health system. Your folks went to school to help others. I am assuming they were just paased through without proper knowledge of what needs to happen. I certainly hope I am NEVER in a position to need your mental health service.

I attempted to get my daughter in and after 7 hours they released her but was going to send her home at midnight, age 14 & female in a cab. Really?? A nurse stepped in and asked police to bring her home. I returned the next night and waited 7 hours and they told me to go home because it would be 3 more hours before a dr could see her. They did admit her.
