DESCRIPTION

You have all the reviews of real people like you who use the services of Carolina Family Services (Psychiatrist) in South Carolina area.

At present this business receives a rating of 3.8 out of 5 and that rating has been based on 29 reviews.

You must have seen that the average score it has is quite good, and it is founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the evaluation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to give their opinion when they are pleased with the business, it works.

As you know, we don't usually stop to set opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

This Psychiatrist is included in the category of Family counselor.

Carolina Family Services is a wonderful place. The company has and continues to ensure children receive the care that is needed. CFS provides a variety of services and makes sure each case resolved with much care. Everyone in the office makes you feel welcomed.

OK so I went and seen the therapist. I don't remember her name but she was so nice and seemed to actually care about what's going on with me, and my problems. She was really understanding and really stressed confidentiality, which made me feel better. I have an appointment with the psychiatrist on the 15th of august, I'll edit when that happens, so far 5 star.

Carolina Family Services is an agency with your family at heart. They work hard to not only serve the child, but the family as a whole. Great place and good people.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN THEIR.DSS WAS CALLED AND A REPORT WAS MADE FOR NO REASON,I CALLED AND LEFT messages for the CEO to let her know what happened she never returned my calls. They are the most unprofessional and unorganized place my children have ever been to,the Dr was very rude and thought she knew more about my children than I did.Dss closed the case in a week No Evidence Found praise jesus.we learn from bad experiences who you can trust and who you can not, it was a horrible experience for me and my family. Run as fast as you can god bless.By the way don't believe the owner when they say they care about your experience their and will call you bk and leave the number for you to call them.they never returned any of my call and they were always out of the office. Don't believe them the state should investigate them.

This place needs to be investigated by the state! In the two years our autistic son has been going here, they've had two psychiatrists, hes had 4 "therapists" (all of whom were actually decent people, however NOT therapists; still in school or at best, only had a Human Services degree). The last psychiatrist, Dr Tang, kept wanting to push us towards "stimulants" which we all know is just legal meth. He was seen by his 4th "therapist" one week. We couldnt make an appointment before we left, like we always did. When we called 3 days later, since they didn't call us like they said they would, they said his "therapist" was no longer there and they would call her back. My wife called the Director, Tamara (we never got her last name) multiple times, who then took a week to call us back. On the day she finally called back, we got a letter in the mail stating that my sons case had been terminated because of "not responding to letter or phone call" & "no effort to continue with therapy", which was signed by a Patrick Johnson, stating that he's the Human Resources Director. Human Resources is hiring/firing department of ANY company so I'm lost as to why we got this letter in the first place, much less why is the Human Resources Director is sending us this. Did we get " fired" from their services? CFS is a completely unorganized joke and needs to be shut down!

My child have been going for 2 years now and looks forward to going and interacting with the therapist. The services are not cookie cutter and are working great for my child. The therapist is always on time and flexible with my schedule. I will continue with services at CFS and will highly recommend to others.

As a healthcare professional, I would say this is the most unprofessional and disorganized office I've ever been to. If you have private insurance do not waste your time. This place does not follow through, and has some incompetent staff members. This place is an example of how those who are indigent do not have access to good mental health care. Our therapist quit without notice and I was having a crisis with my son. They reported to DSS for no reason, It was a situation where they had very bad judgement. It was a situation where they should have been helping my son. (The case was dropped of course)You would think out of courtesy they would offer services at the same evening hours, since I was told 3 times by staff they have another therapist that offers evening hours. They didn't offer to accommodate instead discharged my son to a place with a longer wait. It shouldn't have even been termed discharge. It was basically we don't want to deal with it, so go somewhere else. When you report to DSS you supposedly have the child in interest, but my child was abandoned. The director, Tamara was rude. I asked front office member to fax records to new office and give me confirmation. The poor girl faxed the release (which was not developed properly) without the paperwork. She gave me the fax confirmation it said faxed 2 pages. Incompetent!!! The scheduling is awful. So much miscommunication. Too many cancelled appointments without notice. I could go on and on. I've never seen anything like it.The look of the place speaks for itself, unprofessional!! The only good thing they had was the psychiatrist. She was great!!! Unfortunately, she was leaving in December. In order to see the psychiatrist you had to see a therapist there. That is the only reason I was trying to stick with them. He needed his medications. It's been hard trying to find a psychiatrist. I finally opened up to my employer about everything that has been going on and they helped me find some great services. My son's pediatrician office has also been a great help. If you read reviews, the positive reviews are coming from their staff. Go to their website and check the names.

Carolina Family Services has been an answer to our family’s prayer. They are extremely helpful, kind, and empathetic towards my son. They truly care about the community. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs mental health care for their children.

Carolina family service is an outstanding organization to have your kids apart of. The quality of care provided by their Doctors, Therapist and other support personnel is what’s at the heartbeat of this company.

So far this place has impressed me way more than Pickens Mental Clinic! No phones in the counselor's office!! We haven't seen the psychiatrist yet but I have high hopes!

I have been bringing my son to CFS for about a year now and I have never had a bad experience. My son is also progessing in the right direction. He loves to come just to interact with the staff. He calls one of the employees Uncle Patrick. That's Big coming from my son. I would refer them in a hearbeat.

My child was seen here for going on 4 years. I had always respected his therapist until the last 8 months of his treatment there. She recommended other services then acted as if she had an issue with those same services. She began to act strange as if she was a completely different person than my child hasdseen for 3 years prior. She contradicted things she had told us to do with our child in the past and she began to cut visits down to 25 mins to 30 mins instead of the 45 mins to an hour. At one visit she gets my child engaged with a topic and as he begins to react she looks at her phone (after she had already spent several mins on her phone within the session) and said well, I have to go. She had a person situation that she said she was late for yet she did not inform us that the session would be cut short. Also, there was an issue with services that she had recommended so I contacted her (as she had advised me to do and so did her office) and she responded with a very rude reply. (One of many other issues but this was the final straw) At that time I opted to find a new therapist. The office was of little help with these situations and I feel they let personal relationships cloud their judgement and upkeep of professionalism. After informing the office that my child would no longer be treated at their office the therapists text me multiple times asking about making him an appointment. She already knew he was removed as her client so I feel she was looking for an altercation. Up until the last 8 months, I had very little complaints and was always as flexible as their office needed me to be and trust me, you need to be flexible when scheduling with their office. The Spartanburg office only opens 2 days a week, Thursday and Friday, with only one therapist available both days. The other (which was my childs therapist) is only there on Thursdays and you either can see her at 3:00 or 4:00. Not a very good availability. When we went to the Greenville office, my childs therapist was often late to appointments and so was the doctor there.
