This has been one of the most rewarding and challenging jobs to date. Warm and compassionate coworkers, supportive yet challenging supervisor, and much room for growth in my education and skillset as a therapist.

I have been trying for 2 months give or take, to get my daughter mental help went there filled out paper work, police found her, took her to ER in Monks Corner, THEN. DID NOTHING. I AM STILL STRUGGLING TO GET HER OFF THE STREETS AND SOME KIND OF HELP. WHEN I CALLED REPEATEDLY, JUST TO HEAR, SHE'S 21-YEAR-OLD. There's nothing we can do. They have NO RECORDS OF THIS ON GOING INCIDENT. .. IS THERE ANYONE WHO WRITES NOTHING DOWN THESE DAYS, I JUST PRAY IT DOESN'T TAKE HER GETTING HURT OR WORSE, BEFORE THEY DECIDE TO DO THEIR JOBS.

My son was seen by their therapists and errors in bill resulted in services not being covered. Instead of fixing the area they moved us to self pay rates without telling us. No options of going to another agency. They waited until our insurance company would not pay (after a year). No contact from billing until the year was up. I have learned not to trust community mental health centers due to billing issues. Next time I'll will be going to private practice mental health. Better hours, good mental health services, and better prices at private services and they will not wait until you have an outrageous bill.

I called Thursday to see if I could get in was told to leave a voicemail. I did but waited that day and Friday. Really! Since when do you leave a voicemail to make a appointment. I’m not a new patient I have been seen there since 2010. I guess it’s time to find a place where they take their jobs seriously.

Jawanna is excellent and gets right to the point and my girlfriend an I love it, Scott on the other hand is very very forgetful and will mess up appointments

By far, the most degrading treatment my husband and I have ever received while trying to get help for our son who is a mental health patient! Rick Smith, a counselor and supervisor (as we were later informed) spoke to us in a very condescending manner and with so much arrogance! He went as far as referring to Berkeley County as "backwoods" in comparison to Charleston County. He described everyone that we had been in contact with, including Berkeley County Sheriff's Dept. officials, deputies and court employees as "not knowing what they were doing and misinformed". Rick Smith should not be a counselor at any facility, especially not a mental health facility. If he treated my husband and I in this manner, how does he treat the mentally ill patients who he comes in contact with? Thankfully I asked to speak with his supervisor, the director of the facility, Debbie Calhoun. Debbie treated us with kindness, consideration and respect. She helped us get the help we needed for our son.

Horrific treatment of staff! No matter how hard you work to provide excellent care you will still be stabbed in the back! The absolute worst experience in all my years of nursing,,

I am a dual diagnosis therapist who worked at BCMHC and had to move because of family. They do top rate therapy and are the best place I have ever worked my life. There team organization is top rate. Therapists are able to do their job and they don t have the problem of bring pulled in numerous directions. Great organization!

My daughter was being seen by an unlicensed counselor, which isn't covered by my insurance. Now they want me to pay full price....HELL NO...I will not pay for your mistakes. Someone from billing contacted me last year and I made them aware of this a d they were suppose to contact me back and now a year later they just sent me a bill.....
