This place is very disorganized. The receptionists will have full conversations before they even begin to help you. They never know how much my co-pay is, even though I tell them every time. Trying to make an appointment over the phone is nearly impossible, you will be on hold forever. Messages never get relayed to the doctors. I would not recommend coming here.

s. healy

If I could give 0 stars I would My Doctor tried to sell me his homemade jewelry, spent more time on that then making sure my medication was working. QBH is not a place tô go if you need mental health assistance. It is a place where unprofessional clowns over charge you.

Markie Mags

Ive been cancelled on more times then i can remember. I call in crisis leave a message and no one calls back. If you miss an appt they charge you yet cancel constantly. Other then my counselor Pat i find this place does not care about its patients. Also other then Dawn the staff can be less then compassionate.

The psychiatrist I saw there was awful. I went there for one issue, and he started to try and dig into my distant past, which had nothing to do with why I was there. When I went to switch to someone else in the practice, he refused to let me until I met with him to discuss why. I had three appointments with him, and each time I left, I left in tears. If I could give them a 1/4 review, I would. Stay away from here.

I live in NH and I got a bill from some insurance company in California, telling me that I visited an office in Detroit, Michigan. I don't have a doctor in the town I live in why would I travel to Michigan. Then when I tried to call about the bill everyone kept telling me they couldn't help and to call another place.

Bunny Bess

Wow what a money making scam! This place wants to double dip. I just wanted to see the Dr. But they said I have to see one of their therapists too! I don't need a therapist! So I found just a psych Dr. No need for a counselor. This type of biz practice should be against the law.

Ben Ross

My experience has been an eye opener for 1 the best person ever met in my life who really cares about me and wants me to get help keep it

Caitlin Rouleau

Staff is terrible. For the past 2 years, I have had to give them my insurance information ON EACH VISIT. They take my card, they get all the information, yet it never saves in their system. They're constantly billing the wrong insurance company, and for 2 years, they told me I'm all set and don't have a co-pay. Went in there last time and I owed hundreds of dollars.

deb M

The absolute worst. Rudeness all around. The nurse practitioner doesn't explain anything. I don't think she knows how to treat. No compassion. It doesn't deserve one star.

Tracy Santurri

Rude and unhelpful staff! Ridiculous policy that if you cancel appointment due to illess- you need a Dr's note excusing your appointment or pay $50! Plus you need several appointments before they even consider helping you. SAVE YOURSELF MONTHS OF WAITING FOR HELP AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Tanya Petit

Dr. Jacobs has been a real blessing for my grandson, Z. The staff is always helpful and pleasant.

Kerry Izzi

This office failed me as a patient.

Frank Ryan

I called yesterday, left my name and number, was told someone would call me right back. Well apparently the truth of the matter was that they hadn't taken my number down at all. I called today to find out why no one had called and they didn't seem a bit concerned to have left me waiting. One would think that if a business is meant to help people deal with issues that the people in charge would stress the importance of valuing the time and efforts of those reaching out for help. In this case that doesn't appear to be so.

Diana Campagnone

Absolutely awful. Went for my first appointment today and was told the doctor was an hour behind. I have called 10 plus times in the past hour since I left and no one has picked up the phone. Not even voicemail. I

Lindsey Raymondo

Therapist and Psychiatrist are good. There is a process for in take, but that seems to be the process even at the dentist or doctors in RI

Candace Wheeler

Front desk people are sometimes rude, but who cares, as long as I get good treatment from the dr.

patrick blair

All about money. Will not do ready refills. None of the meds or cousling worked got worse. Better off seeing your primary care dr. I believe bluecross is aware this place needs a turn around and some new experience.

To even see a psychiatrist here you have to do an intake with a therapist. It is an annoying hoop to jump through but I made the appointment anyway. I showed up to this appointment and they had cancelled it!! They said they cancel all first time appointments if you don't call them back to confirm. I rescheduled but, unfortunately, couldn't get a babysitter for this second appointment. When you walk in to the office there is a sign that says "no food or drink" and another sign that instructs you to keep an eye on your children and not let them run around. I also noticed that the books were located behind the desk and you had to ask to borrow them. None of these things are a big deal, but that's when I started to see that this office expects you to bend over backwards for them but they won't lift a finger for you. Quality Behavioral Health also requires you to be in therapy to see their psychiatrists. It seems like a racket to make more money for them because there are a lot of psychiatric illnesses that can be well controlled with medicine and don't require ongoing therapy (ADHD and anxiety are two examples). The therapist and the psychiatrist both seemed annoyed that I brought my one year old, saying "this room isn't child friendly" and "Is he going to be able to make it the full hour?" I got a lot of the same questions from both of them, which, to me defeated the point of doing an intake in the first place, wasting my time, but making them a little more money. The psychiatrist was 15 minutes late for my appointment but I'm sure if I were 15 minutes late they would have canceled my appointment. While in the waiting room I overheard the receptionist tell a patient that they were being charged for their missed appointment. I was also informed that patients have to fill out a long survey every single time you come in. So, if you have to keep an eye on your child I hope you know how to multitask. Or if you just want to relax with a magazine, you're out of luck too. I doubt they actually read the surveys because if they did they would not treat their patients so poorly. There were a surprising number of children there. Maybe there aren't enough child psychiatrists in the area. Neither the therapist or the psychiatrist were warm or friendly. In fact, I felt slightly interrogated. The icing on the cake was at the end of the psychiatrist's appointment when I was told that they do a drug screening on all their patients. Trust is so important for the relationship between mental health professionals and their patients. I don't think they realize how damaging that act is. It starts the relationship off with the statement that they don't trust you. At this point I had decided that I would not be using their services but I provided the urine sample because, when put on the spot like that, declining is as good as saying you're guilty. If they will drug test their patients I am sure there is no limit to what other impositions they will come up with.

This place doesn't even deserve one star. I scheduled an appointment with them, spoke with someone in their office about the copays, my insurance and a few other things...then I get a call saying my appointment is canceled due to lack of verbal confirmation... WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???? completely unprofessional and a waste of time.

Leigh Samantha

It is rare that the receptionists are at least pleasant. They’ve called me several times in the year I’ve been going here to reschedule an appointment. They also charge you about $75 if you try to reschedule less than a day before an appointment. The doctor is unfortunately very rude and disorganized like the rest of the staff. I am thankful that I will not be seeking treatment here.

Edward Helb

They are unfriendly and rude to everyone no matter if you call or show up in person for appointments. They shouldn't charge you for rescheduling an appointment. Unfair and shouldn't be a legal organization. Go some place else!

So Was Disharged last time becuase of a psychiatrist that no longer is there got license taken Away. However that happened 2 years ago I just left becuase of this. And they told me it was a discharge even though it was becuase of him. I went to go see some other psychiatrist recently was told I had to go through a therapist there in order to see him even though I see an outside one and pay a co pay which I thought was ridiculous but went along with it just to get medications on track. I went made an appoinment and went to see the therapist only to be told I needed to fill out paperwork beofre I went. So waited 45 min for nothing and time was a waste got my check back and that was it. I then got a call from assistant manager saying I was discharged in 2017 and had no idea that I made an appointment with secrataries and to see the psychiatrist and therapist already. She brough up the incident again with the psychiatrist even though that was taken care of and that one tomd me to F off and had problems. I discharged myself nothing to do with them. Going through all secrataries too to get my insurance information like 4 times. Do Not Bother Going Here Worst experience Ever and Second Time. They are extremely disorganized and dysfunctional would never come here again. Think this place should be owned by different managers or the managers should fix these problems

Excellent health professionals.

Awful, awful, awful! Horrible customer service, ridiculous use of new policies used to line the pockets of the business, and a complete lack of knowledge of how an office should be ran. Sad to say that after being a patient here for almost 4 years I will now have to find a new doctor because of ludicrous policies they use to rip people off even if you follow their rules.

I have no complaints about the majority of the staff, but "Doctor" ruggiano is the most closed-minded physician I've ever seen. After 8 months of seeing various specialists for various symptoms stemming from a hyper responsive central nervous system, and having that diagnosis confirmed over and over, John diagnosed me after 5 minutes with bipolar based solely on family history, not personal history and symptom expression. He wanted to treat my anxiety and panic attacks with lamictal, a mood stabilizer used for people with bipolar. Sadly, he fails to understand that anxiety is not caused by one single mechanism, and therefore cannot be treated with one single treatment. There is a major difference between anxiety caused by a hyper responsive central nervous system, and mood instability, and if that is not recognized, then it cannot be treated properly. It's the equivalent of trying to treat a viral infection with an antibiotic. The mechanisms are entirely different, and cannot be treated the same way. Central nervous system depressants such as gaba agonists and benzodiazepines are the only way to chemically treat severe anxiety and panic attacks caused by a hyper responsive central nervous system, and someone that has chosen psychiatry as a specialty and practiced it for over 45 years should be able to understand and acknowledge that. Some doctors are just not meant to practice medicine and don't deserve the power and responsibility that comes with it. It's time to step down, John, and be replaced by someone more capable of properly treating the people that put their life and well-being in your hands.

I am usually very skeptical of counselors and psychiatrists because of past experiences however I have been extremely happy with Dr. Audit and Dr. Andrews of Quality Behavioral. These ladies have been fantastic with my 14 yr old daughter. They are kind, understanding, completely nonjudgmental and very intelligent. My daughter has a hard time opening up to people but she has really opened up with these two. They have been great at setting reasonable goals for her that don't overwhelm her. I would refer this place to anyone, but in particular teens. Fantastic place!!

Never have I gone to an appointment and been MORE stressed out by the therapist. It was my first time and I felt rushed and left shaking because I was so worked up.

Ann Picard

The “Soup Nazi” of front desk management. Forgot to bring your insurance card? Go home, appointment canceled. Have a co-pay balance? (Mine was 6.37) appointment canceled and all future appointments canceled as well. I paid it of course but first wasn’t told the amount, just that there was a balance. So canceled. Late? Go home, appointment canceled. The staff did not notify the Dr. that I had arrived and left me waiting, then blamed me for not telling them. Really awful place.

Melissa Terra

I am only here because of Dr.Audet, my son's developmental pediatrician. She recently moved to this practice. This place is supposed to be disability friendly, but.its not. They do not take state insurance which is usually what our kiddos have as a secondary, to cover co-pays, etc. There are no bathrooms for patients to use on the second floor. Which is a big inconvenience,

0 stars if I could. So unprofessional and unorganized. I received incorrect text message notifications for appointments. I waited over an hour to see our counselor a few different times for my son and brother's appointments because they get backed up with all their mistakes in scheduling. They get backed up so see us an hour late then cut our appointment to 15 minutes and charge our insurance full price I'm sure. I called to confirm an appointment one time and they told me I didn't have any appointments that day then QBH called me several hours afterwards, said I missed my appointment and tried charging me $50 when we never missed an appointment and this was their fault. If I could charge them for everytime they mixed up our appointments they would owe me hundreds of dollars. They currently won't see us until we pay a fee and I have never missed an appointment. QBH held up our family's TDI for months. I stood at the counter everytime I went in to ask what was going on with it and they pulled out the same folder in front of me and it had the same note of instruction on it as the previous time they said they would send it through and they just repeated to us it had just not been filled out by them and not faxed it to where it needed to go yet. We will be finding somewhere else to go now.

Jacqueline Costa

I am completely appalled by the experience I had with Dr. Mailhot. The whole appointment was uncomfortable and I felt judged the entire time. She questioned my diagnosis after only meeting with me for about 15 minutes and was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. It felt as if as soon as I walked into her office she had already decided she didn't want to treat me. This doctor does not care about her patient's comfort, I was shaky and on edge during the entire appointment, and at one point she acknowledged how uncomfortable I was but didn't care. I wasted my time and money here, if I could give them 0 stars I would. i took a great amount of time out of my day to drive over and talk with one of the therapist there, just for Dr. Mailhot, which for someone dealing with my issues, it is very difficult for me to do these kinds of things. Only to go back to walk out of the appointment early because of the experience that I shouldn't have had to deal with in the first place. On top of everything Dr. Mailhot shared inappropriate details about my old doctor's practice. I am very disappointed with my experience here and am very happy to say I am never coming back.

My experience mirrors the majority of the reviews. After partially filling out the myriad of forms...while in the waiting room... listening to the staff berate clients on the phone and at the desk...I got up and left! This was supposed to be my first intake session, however, after having to wait over an hour and listening to the discourse around me. I knew this was an unhealthy place..to expect good mental health support. I went home... called Q.B.H. to cancel all futher appts. And told them in no uncertain terms...what I thought of the unprofessional way the money grabbing business was run. P.S. I also told my primary doctor...he agreed with me. No more referrals from that Doctor!!! And the grade I really give them is no star at all.

I would give zero stars if it was possible. My son is disabled and sees one doctor for therapy and another for medication. The meds doc called today to reschedule her appt. On the same night, they called saying i missed an 815pm appt. My child cant stay awake past 7pm so i never would have made that appointment. I told them this. They told me prove it or i pay their no show fee and ALL of his appointments are cancelled including the ones to keep getting his medication that he cant function without. I already forgave them for setting him up with a councelor that after 3 visits said she wont be seeing children anymore. Do not go here if you value yourself, your children or your sanity.

kim concepcion

Dr kisch is a very well versed Dr. his profound knowledge of medication is outstanding. Very caring.

Rodney Burton

I have been going to this place for at least 6 years. They are charging me a 75.00 late fee which I will agree I did miss my appointment, however I am on disability (which most of the patients are) I do not have the $75.00 right now and they are refusing to re-fill my prescription which I will get very sick from not taking!!! The staff is extremely rude. I agree with the several other complaints about only caring about money and not peoples health. Nevemind the fact that your business will be shared with other patients!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Dr. who I will be nice enough not to mention her name was showing me a list of patients that she had to fire because they were going to another Dr to get other prescriptions. Might be a violation of HIPAA???????????? Terrible place. Now I will be sick for Thanksgiving which I am pretty sure it is illegal to refuse medication. Do not go to this place!!!

Joshua Dean

My therapist was completely detached from our conversation, you'd have a better chance of finding a sympathetic ear from Anonymous user on Tumblr then finding one in that office. Going in I was feeling lethargic, but the time I left I felt as if I was conned out of $109 and feeling hopeless.

janee robinson

I cant say if the people are nice because we never got a chance to go. What i can say is i called at 9am to cancel because all my kids woke up sick and they charged us a $50 fee , our appt wasnt until 3pm. How was i supposed to know theywere going to wake up sick. I think thats unfair !!!

Danielle Mowry

Eh, I wouldn't consider this place as one of my favorites. There are one or two staff that are friendly, other than that they tend to be very cold towards patients. The staff in the Genoa pharmacy are absolutely wonderful! So sweet! The NP that I see, D. Steinburg is a sweetheart. She has helped me since day 7. I say day 7 because they started me out with one of their doctors and she was a b****!! She diagnosed me with Bipolar disorder within 5 minutes of speaking to me and I barely told her any current symptoms, only what I have gone through in the past. She diagnosed me based upon family history then tried forcing lithium on me after I said no, so I demanded a switch and have been with D. Steinburg since then. Some of their "rules" I don't agree with however, and should they become a problem for me in the future, I will switch clinics. At every appointment they give you a questionnaire that asks for meds, health problems, financial issues, etc. However, these questions are only to be filled out if anything has changed since the last visit. If everything is the same, leave it blank. Be aware that you must provide your insurance card at EVERY visit for verification. I understand why that is, but it's a pain. I did forget my card once and they let it go, but they also made it a point to tell me that there can't be a next time or I will have to RS my appointment. There is a $75 missed appointment/less than 24hr cancellation fee. That is absurd!! There are a lot of low-income patients who go there, that's not fair. Obviously they don't understand that situations arise, sometimes out of our control. Another ridiculous rule is that you must see a therapist along with the psychiatrist/NP you are seeing. They typically require you to see a therapist prior to even seeing a psychiatrist/NP. They tried forcing that on me too but I had already been established with a therapist at another place. They tried telling me that I needed to see one of "their" therapists, but I told them I'm not leaving my therapist because I'm very comfortable with her. So if that's the case then I don't want any services. They accepted that answer for what it was and gave me just medication management services without therapy. I guess as long as you speak your mind and tell them what YOU want as a patient, then you'll get what you want. Don't let them walk over you, speak up! If you don't like your practitioner, demand to switch. You shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable, judged, or out of place. You're giving them money for services (whether out of pocket or insurance based), you should get what you need out of those services!

William Denton

Went there for the evaluation process of getting med management and waited 15 minuets just sign in and was told no insurance card thay had to cancel my appointment in September becauce today I didn't have it with me and thay had all the info they needed so I took off out of their and after getting into my car some old guy came out and asked what happened in side that made me upset and said his Door to his suite fell apart as I left, no door property installed just falls apart for trying to close it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone even my insane busy body neighbors.

Brooke Fair

In the past, I have dealt with doctors who have been rude, unpleasant, and robotic. I am so happy to have found Quality Behavioral Health. They are responsive, friendly, and kind. They always go out of their way to remind you of your appt. 2-3 times before hand, making it impossible to forget or end up with missed appt. fees. When my doctor was out of office for her own medical needs, they made sure to find me someone else in the office to cover for her in the time being, who still treated me as one of his own patients, rather than a bother for having to take on more work. They also offer GREAT hours, so its easy to be able to book with out missing time at work. I recommend this practice for both Psychologist and Psychiatrist. Nothing but great experiences-- Just dont bring a drink in the office and always bring your insurance card- they will ask every. single. time.

This place is horrible!!!! I was there for about 3 months and left. I would need med rifills and the nurse practitioner would never do it on time she was awful! I do not recommend anyone going to this place.

Kay O.

Really disappointing in the staff even more so after being accused of missing two appointments (Ive never had an issue with my doctor however), I now have to pay 75 to see my doctor in general. I didn't miss the first appointment (I was accused of missing/that actually showed up for) and just now I was getting in my car for my second appointment when I was called to be told I missed an appointment -hours ahead of the time my actual appointment was made. I'm in the process of looking for a new doctor now with a more reliable office that can handle appointment making/not make it out to be my fault. I'm really disappointed because no one could help me when I called to try and get this resolved fairly- no could give me a name or number of someone I could talk to about this so now I have to find another doctor I feel comfortable with. Thanks "quality" behavioral health center.

NO STARS, prescribed meds not covered by insurance 3xs doctors cancel, and sometimes don't cancel office is simply closed when you show up, like today, although I received a reminder via text yesterday. This place is awful awful awful.

steveskin1 .

A mixed bag at this place, most of it has been covered in other reviews. My wife and I have gotten competent care from Drs. Kisch and Ruggiano, as well as our counselors Joyce and Pat Donahue. The problems lie in some of the office staff. Some of them are very nice, but others can be quite abrupt and have no problem leaving you on hold for long periods of time. I feel this would be a more pleasant office if they started treating their patients like adults.. Get rid of the no drinks policy, and stop locking the bathrooms! During training remind staff members that many patients with psychiatric issues could use a little more patience and kindness as opposed to passive aggressive behavior.

Malinda Bernard

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, the staff is absolutely horrible and the doctors are even worse!!!!!!

I find this place extremely unprofessional and unorganized. They have had to cancel and re-schedule my appointment twice now. The first time, the receptionist said something came up and that they had to reschedule, and the reschedule was a month later. Second time they had to reschedule, they said that Cheryl Hanes is only available on Friday mornings to see new patients. You would think they would be more accommodating. I have also never felt so uncomfortable speaking to the therapist before. She was antagonizing and made a lot of assumptions. I felt worse leaving there than when I walked in the door. Absolutely horrible customer service and no leniency when it comes to people's work schedules. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT COMING HERE!

Tamar Ghajanian

My counselor was good at first then I felt judged by her, she was always late. My nurse practioner was also always late. The office administration was horrible, always late to get back to you and unprofessional also. I was cancelled on many times, one time was an hour before my appointment, can we charge them?!!!

Suddenly Simple

Office staff...rude..Additionally, you hear every conversation the staff is having as there is no privacy in their check in process. Dr. Jacobs, don't even know how he is still in practice. The man never looks up from his computer...he doesn't listen. All he asks about is how the last medication prescribed is working. When you tell him it didn't work...he just randomly throws another prescription at you. He once prescribed me a prescription that he had already prescribed me and had problems with. He has no personal recall of your situation. After seeing him for 10 months he didn't even know that I was suffering with a severe life change and seemed surprised when I mentioned it as if he never heard it before. His main goal is to get you off a benzo that has been working for you and to prescribe you something that is more detrimental to your health such as your liver and kidneys. If you literally need a benzo to live do not see this Dr. He also has prescribed 2 new medications at the same time...leaving the patient with the confusion as to what medication is doing what because the instructions are to take them at the same time. If you are new to this facility and they assign you this Dr. I suggest you ask for a different Dr. as you have heard that he is probably not the BEST choice.

Absolutely abhorrent providers

I absolutely love this place. Darlene Correira is an amazing psychiatrist. She made me feel very comfortable, listened to my concerns and answered all questions I had. I highly recommend this place for behavioral health
