Absolutely horrible experience! I suffer from extreme anxiety and was referred to here by my doctor. I accidently missed my first initial appointment. I called to reschedule and was told they won't see me because of a policy about canceling appointments that I was never informed about. When I explained this was not right and I was never told about this policy and explained how severe my anxiety is and that I really need to be seen I was told I was being "attacking" and they would not overlook their policy because of that. By the end of the conversation I was in tears. This place is horrible. Do not come here!! The manager was so rude to the point of bringing me to tears! How do you treat people like that especially those who have mental health issues and are seeking treatment and help. Its disturbing. Do not come here! I would never wish for someone to be treated the way I did.

I've lived all across the untied states, and found only one place that treated me as well, The University of Connecticut Medical Center. They do expect you to be reasonably accountable for your care, in return if you will be cared about, and as someone who has seen both reckless, and overly conservative prescribing practices, and the damage that either can cause. I can state with absolute certainty that my provider is right in the middle, using appropriate prescribing practices, resulting in an excellent standard of care. *update from first review. So it turns out that I was treated better here than at UConn med center. I am no longer a patient at OPP because I moved out of state.

Autumn Again

I've seen a lot of psychiatrists in various states, and have cone to view them as licensed drug pushers. If one drug doesn't work, ramp it up to the maximum and add another. If the side effects are too bad, then add more drugs to offset them. I didnt have that experience here with Dr. Leong. He didn't push drugs on me, and he was ok with me feeling I needed to decrease or increase my dose. I appreciated being treated like an intelligent human being that can tell whether a drug is helping or not. Sadly for us, Dr. Leong is going to another office in Corvallis, and his patients will have to try a new doctor in the practice. We'll see how that goes, and update the review then.

If you need a therapist I highly recommend Oregon Psychiatric Partners. I saw Howie Friedman. He is highly educated, knowledgeable, professional, as well as kind and caring. He helped me tremendously. I also wouldn't hesitate to see any of the other providers. The office staff is great as well. Their efficiency helps the practice to run smoothly.

Dr. Schmidt treats each client individually and develops a treatment plan specifically based on their particular needs. No cookie cutter treatments here.
