I've worked with several different associates in Willoughby, Beachwood and Avon, and have had wonderful experiences across the board. Having both a therapist and a psychiatrist working in tandem on a comprehensive treatment plan really eliminates the need to review every issue at every appointment, and makes for a seamless approach to getting better.

Lost confidence with them within a few appointments. She made me feel like she did not want me there or understand what I was talking about. I was also told "it takes months for suicidal people to be evaluated for medications because of the state of the healthcare system". This seems like excuses to me. People are supposed to wait months while their lives are falling apart around them because there is obviously serious issues. Mine was more concerning health, but I did not feel this was going anywhere or any competence towards the lady "helping" me. I have one bad day and her solution is to ask me if I just want to leave after I say I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown and making irrational choices. I will NEVER reccomend this place. Also the receptionist was crying behind the window which was troubling.

I see two doctors at PsychBC, Meredith Mahilo and Jill Matusek. They are both so knowledgeable and very understanding. Though Dr. Mahilo is young, she is like the old fashioned doctor. I need a medication for nausea NOW. My primary care doctor would not return my calls; the doctor that created the issue that I needed the medication would not return my calls. As a last resort I contacted Dr. Mahilo's office and she immediately called me in a prescription to my pharmacy. Doctors today only do what they are absolutely required to do, but Dr. Mahilo could have just ignored me like the doctors that should have helped me did. And as for Dr. Matusek, it's like I've known her forever. She is empathetic, and she "gets me". She is what I call, "an old head". She so young, but relates so well to what is going on with me from visit to visit. Kudos to both of the doctors.
