Making an appointment was super easy. Sent them an email and worked with Mikala, she was very quick at responding and setting up my appointment. Easiest new patient setup I've done.

Initially, I was very pleased with this practice, but then I had one negative experience after another. My therapist fell asleep during our session, then acted as if nothing happened (Talk about traumatic!)! I waited two weeks for my insurace company to be contacted in order to approve my medication refills, but found out that it had not been taken care of! When I called, I was given excuses, and transferred to one voicemail after another. I (finally) ended up getting my medication filled after I ran out of everything and was eperiencing withdrawal symptoms! When I thought to give this place one last chance, I attempted to make several medication follow-up appointments but was denied because, apparently, I have to see my horrible NP (Laura Davis), who is only available one day a week! I am truly floored by the uncaring, uncompassionate experiences I have had here. Save your time, money, and your mental health by finding somewhere else to go!

I have been seeing Kelli Newsome for over a year and have never felt so comfortable with and cared for by a provider. She is knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate and empathetic. I cannot recommend her highly enough and HAVE recommended her to many people who are searching for high quality healthcare.

This is the absolute WORST place I have ever been to. The nurse practioner there is a freaking joke who doesn't give a crap about your problems. I got there on time for my appointment and they gave me this packet of new patient information and gave me two minutes to fill it out when Sarah came out to get me and told me I needed to fill it out and talk to her at the same time.... so rude. So I could barely concentrate and everything she'd ask me she wouldn't listen to the answer at all. She asked if my parents were divorced to which I said yes and two seconds later she says "so you said your parents were together" she asked me if I was sleeping ok and I said yes and she says two seconds later "so you're having trouble sleeping?" What the heck?? At the end of the visit I was crying because I was so frustrated and she didn't have any emotion and was a complete robot the whole time. Never even finished my packet and she filled in my answers into the computer which told her what meds I needed. She didn't even know the medication she was giving me and googled the side effects. Most unprofessional office I have ever seen and to top it all off they sent me a bill for 190 dollars. Will never EVER step foot in this place again. Don't waste your time.

I know in a review this is where I'm supposed to bash or praise. But is rather not muddy the waters. Mood center did some things right, and in other ways failed. For what was done right, we are grateful... But for the other, we are so disappointed after just 3 visits that we will not be returning. I'm sure Dr. Aiken is a good doctor, and that his practice will continue to grow, but the process and people in place now have let him down. Thank you for what you have done well, but please try to listen to your patients and make their concerns feel validated, rather than standing up to show us out the door when you're done after 10mins of talking to us... The initial visit is $190 and the follow-ups are $90....we would like more for our money than "OK Great, see you next time"

I've been been coming here weekly for the past year to see Kelly Caniglia, and will continue to do so for the forseeable future. We mesh really well, she's very knowledgeable, and many of the practitioners there provide a budget curve to stay affordable. 60$ per visit isn't bad at all, especially since my insurance doesn't cover it. The practioners there do take a myriad of different insurances, I just choose not to see someone else who takes mine. My experiences with the Psychiatry section of the practice are relatively new, however I will say they have been alright. I havent been blown out of the water, but I have meds that work now, and at the end of the day I don't feel like I've been coerced into trying different meds or slapped with a bunch of haphazard diagnoses. I do feel like they listen, but not in a Therapy way. I don't expect therapy from the docs who give me meds anyway though; that's not their job. I really like this place. I think they could use some easier-to-understand computer systems for the psychiatric nurses who are new to the practice and don't know how to navigate the menus yet. The system seems overly complicated and confusing - which is why wait times can get to be pretty long (psych only, therapy wait is nearly nonexistent). I also really like the Patient Portal; it gives returning patients access to freely pay, schedule, and reach out to anyone in the practice if they have questions or concerns - all online and in the patient's own time. It's simplistic but very nice. Personally, it reduces a lot of the stress that comes with scheduling around my work. (Request access via email for security.) A note about a previous review: An earlier reviewer listed a complaint about a lengthy packet they had to fill out whilst also talking to the psychiatrist - when I was a new patient here, I was sent the 'packet' of forms and such via email from the scheduling department, days before my initial appointment. I'm not sure if the reviewer's experience was an unfortunate oversight or what, but I'm sorry for the rest of their unpleasant experience with the psych nurse. The nurse for Dr. Aiken as of now is Ms Larisa King. She's very sweet and always tries her best to understand what's going on and how she can help. She works with Dr. Aiken to suggest meds that seem promising and always consults with the client to make sure everyone is on the same page. I honestly hope she stays with the practice. There *is* a sheet they give you to fill out every appointment that has "in the past week have you felt..?" Type questions on it, but I barely ever fill it out anymore. I find it easier to flip the sheet over and write on the back about the past week, how I felt, things that impacted me, etc. It's much more freeing. Psych appreciates if you fill them out, but for Therapy I never do anymore. In conclusion, I like this place overall. It's helped me get through some tough times and the people I've personally encountered really do want to help. I hope this lengthy and somewhat rambly review has helped someone - and congrats if you've made it this far! Haha~ I'd definitely check this place out if you're looking for a therapist who will listen, care, and actively try to help you with whatever you're going through. Until then though, You're amazing and I know you'll be able to get through this. You're loved, you deserve happiness, and your feelings *Are.* Valid. -Skye M.

My original dr left and I was slightly concerned on how I would be handled. But I met the owner Dr Aiken and he along with the staff are absolutely amazing

Dr Aiken is probably the rudest psychiatrist I have ever met. I wasn't in his office 2 minutes before he just cut me off. He wouldn't let me explain anything that was going on. That's pretty terrible for a doctor that you are supposed to be able to talk to. How can you properly diagnose someone if you are just going to yell at them and not listen. No integrity at all

Brandy Valentine

Love Sara and Jessica, they really listen and are very helpful with your needs, and options. Which I love...

Kind, compassionate team of professionals. Offices are well designed, comfortable and inviting. Lots of interesting, neatly displayed information sheets offered in the waiting areas.

I see Kellie Newsome at both the Adams Farm and Polo Road offices. It is sometimes hard to get in to see her because she is utterly fantastic! Her insights into what the root cause is for my presenting symptoms is phenomenal. My life has improved just in the last few months alone, and I am so relieved. The facilities are nice and the staff are welcoming and helpful.

Mike Kirkman

My experience with the mood treatment center and its staff has been great. From scheduling, to therapy with Missy, to seeing Laurie my NP. I recommend them wholeheartedly.
