AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was my first time going to a psychiatrist. She wouldn't let me speak, cut me off when I was trying to give her quick outline of why I was there. Showed her my medical history , because there are certain medications I can't take because I would have a reaction. She didn't even look at them. It was only 5 pages or less. She just dismissed me and anything I had to say. The WORST part was she prescribed a medication that would give BLOOD CLOTS!!!!!! After I tried to show her my medical records and what I can't take!!!!! Total diregard for my well being. If I had not read about the medication she prescribed me beforing taking it, I WOULD PROBABLY BE DEAD RIGHT NOW!!!! I wasted money on a doctor that I thought might help me with my anxiety!!!! She should NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE A DOCTOR AND PRESCRIBE MEDICATION!!!! ALL SHE WANTS IS TO GET PAID$$$$ !!!! TOTAL DISREGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE!!!!

Highly recommend! I've struggled my whole life with anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol addiction. I've seen dozens of doctors throughout the years and it just got worse when prescribed medication with no real follow up. I thought I was going to be a prisoner inside my own head for the rest of my life. I've been seeing Dr. Hasan for over 2 years now. I can't believe I'm finally living a normal, happy, healthy life and still feel like the true me that's been locked up inside. She tells it how it is and does not beat around the bush so if you want to get better, and that's why we go, then let her guide you toward the pathway of freedom.

I Highly recommend checking out this office. Dr Hasan and her staff truly are exceptional in their care and their professionalism. I have been to a few different doctors in the area and this is the first one where i have found that i have received the help needed to help me lead a happy and healthy life. They dont just have you come in and push you out the door. They give you the aid and teach you tools to help you make progress with any issues you make be going through.

What a waste of my time and money to go here. If you want to believe you are actually crazy... you have come to the right place. It's easier just to pass out drugs to anyone that comes through that door and doctors aren't drug dealers....WAKE UP! There are better ways of finding help then coming to this facility.

I’ve had several psychiatrists and Dr. Hasan is by FAR the best. She understands my challenges and works to help alleviate them. There are a couple of reviews stating that she wasn’t personable- she was a little stiff on the first visit as we got to know one another, but now it is like she is my favorite aunt! She truly cares about her clients, celebrates their victories, and supports us when things are rough. I drive from North Raleigh to se her because she is that good.

Was not happy with this place at all. I been there once and never again. Dr compared my anxiety and panic attacks that were triggering depression episodes to diabetes and she said if diabetics don't take insulin they die and same thing if I don't take meds I am gonna die. Which is OK to compare but it was her first time seeing me she doesn't know anything about me. Dr. Had no facial expressions. It was very strange. She was seating at her desk like she was on throne and I didn't feel like I matter or if she was too concerned about me getting better. She also said I will only give you one month supply of meds so you have to come back to see me it was Celexa most Dr give you refill.

Hesitant after reading her reviews I decided to go ahead with my appt.. She has a demeaning sense about her which makes you feel stupid for asking questions. Asked if I exercised & I told her "walking"...she said "walking is for 80 year olds." Her scale reads 16 lbs lighter than other scales. I brought this to her attention & she told me that her scale is right. After my appt I got on two other scales in other locations & I weighed exactly 16 pounds more. Her bedside manner is poor. I was put on a God-awful drug. When I told her of my horrible symptoms she just upped the dose. I feel like she has the personality of a door-knob. Definitely not someone you want to go to for depression.

Not very helpful or friendly. She rushes every appointment. My sister’s psychiatrist would spend an entire hour talking with her in order to fully understand her situation, her symptoms, etc. in order to be the best help she could be to her. Dr. Hasan on the other hand never once spent more than 15 minutes with me. I have a suspicion she was scheduling multiple appointments for the same time slots and rushing them to make maximum $$ because almost every time I came there would be someone else arriving at the same time as me who would often get called back first (leaving me to wait). She would ask the most basic questions (how is your sleep, how is your concentration, do you still feel depressed, etc.) back to back very quickly without ever stopping to ask for more information or to even give me a chance to share more than a few words. Her tone was rarely friendly and often condescending. When I told her that the first medication she had me trying wasn’t working very well, she basically told me that no medication would be able to help me until I got myself into therapy, which never made a huge difference for me since my anxiety/depression is more genetic than circumstantial. I would have appreciated her helping me find a new medication that would hopefully work better as I am aware that often people need to try a few before finding “the one” that helps. She also had me on an as needed medication to take in addition when my anxiety became unbearable. I told her that it didn’t help with my anxiety and only made me sleepy, to which she responded that I “just cut it in half.” Just overall didn’t find her to be the best or the most caring.

At first I was uncomfortable with the doctor typing while I was there trying to explain why I was there. This was not at all what I was used to. The nurse/psychologist was a separate visit and she (Virginia) was very easy to talk to. I am now comfortable with Dr. Hasan as well so I am very pleased with my care from Dr. Hasan and Virginia. When you first meet a doctor you have to get comfortable with them as well as they have to get comfortable with you.

I'm not sure exactly who the other reviewers have been seeing, but Dr. Hasan has been amazing with me. She's been very trusting, and spends as much time as I need talking about my personal issues. She's a psychiatrist, not a therapist, but with me she is both.. I never have to wait when I see her, the office is extremely clean (I'm a germaphob) and she is very attentive to my needs. I don't know if these people caught her on a bad day, but being in the psychiatric field, sometimes you have to "put up walls" since you see so many people and you don't know who's there legitimately or who's there just to get drugs. But once she gets to know you, she is amazing. She has me feeling better than I've felt in a very long time. Thanks Dr. Hasan!!!!!

Dr Hasan does her very best to educate and also provide every possible resource to make visits and medications affordable and convenient for me. She has an incredible knowledge of psychotropic medication and works closely with her patients to find medicine that works for them. Dr. Hasan also took my money and once in the room, she asked me several questions and upon discovering the reason I was there, she dismissed me and said she would not help me. She was very curt, seemed ready to end the appt. as soon as it started and get the next person in line. My appointment lasted maybe 12 min. and then I was told no, I can't treat you. I was shocked, upset and thought, no wonder people with mental illness do not get the help they need. I would not recommend whatsoever.

So I have looked into other reviews and understand where peoples low reviews are coming from as much as I can. However, my experience here has been amazing. Doctor Hasan ACTUALLY does CARE about me and lets me explain myself(sometimes my words don't come out fast). Doctors don't have to care but it helps a lot. She seems to have trust in what I'm telling her and that is the main reason I will continue to go to her. Doctors have judged me in the past based on my appearance(tattoos & piercings) and family problems therefore have not prescribed me medications that help me the most. The front desk lady is cool and laid back. Thanks for reading.

Over the past 2.5 years, Dr. Hasan has been a vital part of my recovery from major depression. Coupled with ongoing counseling, her guidance on appropriate medication and encouragement, as well as her genuine concern, have been strong tools. WARNING!THIS DOCTOR IS HORRIBLE! I'm disabled, I won't get into detail.I went as an emergency in a way and was transferring. I got sick and wrote e-mails to her while explaining and describing how I was feeling, thinking at the time, that maybe she can learn more about my illness and maybe it could help others.I went through hell and took a lot of that time writing.When I went back and I was better on my own, she scolded me as if I was a child. I 34Y/O, I'll tell you exactly what she said to me! She was angray and said don't ever e-mail me again unless it's for an appointment. If it's for something else I will not read it and just delete it. I asked if she read any of my experience that I can never explain again and she said 'NO' I deleted everything. She told me don't e-mail nor call her when it's not hours of business. I will not answer you nor contact you. Don't bother me on my days off SAT. AND SUNDAY. I will not reply to you because those are me days off. Call 911 or a crisis line, don't e-mail me. Oh, then she upped my medication when I didn't want to because I told her it makes my brain slow and I become handicapped and I can't function normal, but she didn't care about what I had to say. She said we have to do something or there's no point meeting and we will not be a fit. I said ok I will take the meds, sure enough on the 3rd day I felt my brain feeling slow, odd, and uncomfortable. I went to my primary doctor and she rescued me. Marci Olsen of Rex Primary Care of Cary never ever forces you to do anything you don't want to do. She lowered my dosage and saved me and I was able to think straight again that's when I went back to Dr. Hasan! Oh, when doors are closed she changes and she says ridiculous, mean, and horrible things. She told me I have to see...HAVE TO...a therapist every week, now I have to pay for this out of my public. I said I don't want to, then she said she won't see me then. Then I agreed. Then she said if you miss an appointment whether it's her's or the therapists she will charge me $80. She knows I have some memory loss, but she said that. Well, I transferred to a different doctor and on the day I went to sign some papers, I called Dr. Hasan's office and told her staff I was changing doctors. Then she told me I had an appointment with the therapist that day and the receptionist had called me twice. She said she had to charge me $80. I told her no one called me and she said Alley called twice. I argued with her because I had no phone calls from her. Then she said ok never mind. may I ask why you are changing doctors. I said I want to keep that to myself and hung up. YOU KNOW WHAT I WENT HOME LOOKED AT THE APPOINTMENT CARD FOR THE THERAPIST AND IT WASN'T EVEN CLOSE TO THAT DAY! IT WAS A WEEK AFTER. NOW, CAN YOU TELL ME IF THIS WAS A HONEST THING THAT OCURRED? SHE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF MY DISABILITY. OH, I WAS ALSO TOLD I HAVE TO PAY $33 FOR EVERY VISIT AND DURING JAN.~MAY, I HAVE TO PAY $140 BECAUSE I HAVE TO REACH MY MEDICARE DEDUCTIBLE. I don't understand much about Medicare, so I agreed. Isn't something wrong with this? PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF! I WISH I COULD HAVE RECORDED EVERYTHING AND SAVE ALL THE PATIENTS SHE HAS! I HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE, THEN I DID SOMETHING GOOD!

First off, the office staff is incredbile. Always freindly and keeps you up to date on your upcoming appointments. Even with my appointments set on in my phone, it is always so helpful to get the phone call a few days in advance as a reminder. I see two of the clinical specialists at Max Psychiatry. Ruth-Ann is amazing and has helped me so much to manage the more challenging aspects of my life in a productive, healthy way. I call it a "brain tuneup." Dr. Hasan has been invaluable to me. I find her freindly and genuinely invested in all aspects of my mental health. I also very much appreciate her straightforward approach to treatment and willingness to adjust treatment to find the best solution, which includes medication, diet, exercise and accountability. Some may see this as a bit off putting, but mental health is multifaceted and the patient should be as accountable as the clinician. As a Scientist, I thrive on this approach and would highly recommend the entire group to anyone in search of mental health services.

I have been going to Dr. Hasan for over 6 years I find her caring and compassionate. She also is up to date on all the medications out there to help bipolar people like myself which gives me great faith in her when prescribing a new med. However I have been quite stable under her watch....some anxiey issue but she cleared those right up. Overall I would feel extremely comfortable recommending her to anyone with mental issues that need medication as part of their treatment.

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Hasan when I came in for help with my ADHD. I was charged about $250 for the initial appt. where she made me take my own blood pressure and then refused to give me a prescription because it was elevated. I told her prior to the appt. that I have "white coat syndrome" and that if you even mention blood pressure, it goes up until I'm comfortable with someone. To add, making me take my own blood pressure caused me even more anxiety than normal. Nevertheless, even though I was quite upset, I tried to work within her limits and she required that I get a note from a GP to show my blood pressure was fine, which I was willing to do; however, she wanted to charge me another $125-$150 to see her again for the prescription. Why was that necessary?! Yeah... that was a "no"... So I just ended up finding another psychiatrist because charging me again would have been ridiculous, especially because there was no new information to gain, just money it seems. She essentially tried to rip me off; well technically, she did because for $250 she performed no services. Additionally, she did not listen to me or care about my needs and I would never recommend her to anyone else. Stay away if you value a considerate doctor who cares about their patients and who isn't just taking your money because they can get away with it.

I'm sleeping better, enjoying hobbies, have more energy. Some reviewers have noted that Dr. Hasan is direct, but I appreciate that. I needed someone who tells it like it is and doesn't try to sugar coat my situation. She has worked with me to regulate my meds, and therapy with Ruth Ann is helping to get my anxiety under control. I am grateful to them both!

Doctor is very good in gathering and analyzing patient history and providing referrals/support for patient and family other than just prescribing medication, which is most needed for psychologically challenged patient. But when I found doctor Hasan I was quite happy with how she treated me and how she worked on my medicines and gave me suggestions for coping skills. She was very helpful. Dr. Hasan has been by far the best psychiatrist I have ever had. She truly cares about how I feel and how my treatment is progressing. She places the medications that she feels will be most beneficial for your condition and monitors them monthly, to see if anything needs to be adjusted. Office is very clean, relaxing and inviting... at least as much as a medical office can be. Office staff, are professional and attentive. They go about their task quickly and truly seem to understand their roles. Only issue, and it's not their fault, is its difficult to maintain privacy. However, I stress this isn't the fault of anyone as it's just a function of the office design. However, due to the profficency of the office staff this is minimized and truly not a huge issue/concern. Just something to be mindful of. Physician is very profficency and professional. She's nice, interactive and responsive. I find her to be a great listener and one who seems to care about me. Certainly she's knowledgeable and understanding and to me those are my two biggest concerns. In the end, I highly recommend the practice and feel it's one that can offer the support that's so needed in today's healthcare environment. Truly a shocking experience. Dr. Hasan was cold, openly critical, and dismissive. I'm an eating disorder patient who was referred to Dr. Hasan upon discharge from a treatment facility. After months of hard work, I was declared stable and approved for outpatient treatment by a team of qualified and caring professionals I trust - but Dr. Hasan dismissed me immediately, making me feel unheard and like a lost cause. I have no doubt she is intelligent and qualified - but her approach to care is abhorrent. Those who've had a positive experience with her are lucky - but I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone.

Horrendous place. I took my 17 year old for his first visit and later in the appointment I was called in to speak with him and the psychiatrist. He was being very anxious and she seemed annoyed by it and basically asked what medication does he want. Why am I paying a professional to decide what would be best for my son if they are just asking what medications would you like to take. Completely absurd and would have their license revoked. Horrible with taking care of my sons needs and would never step into this office again.

I grudgingly give one star so I can write this review. This Dr should not be dealing with patients. She has an icy demeanor, doesn't appear in the least to care about me as a patient or person. If you are suffering with low self-esteem or PTSD seeing her could make it worse. Med checks should be 15 minutes in length. Mine were never more that 7 or 8 minutes. She wasn't interested in anything I had to say even when I told her I was feeling better! I would say she is heartless.

This doctor very clearly did not care about helping me get better. I felt utterly humiliated when I left. They made me stand in the hall and take a saliva drug test where everyone else could see. And then told me to go next door to a LabCorp and pay $38 for blood testing as well when I could have gone to my GP and gotten it done for free. Listen to the other reviews and just go somewhere else. Even my gastro cares about my feelings more than this doctor did.

My husband is a patient of Dr. Hasan and after he had a really BAD experience with another Dr in another city. She took him off alot of unnecessary meds that he should not have been on. She is very understanding and has helped him drastically from when he 1st started seeing her. I would definately recommend her to anyone with anyone needing a paychiatrist. Also her staff is amazing to work with on the phone and in person. They will take the time to return your call if they cant answer questions immediately or if it requires speaking with Dr. Hasan

Dr. Hasan has really helped me through several of my mental disabilities... she addressed my bipolar problem head on and even changed my medication to something that worked even better for me. She has also helped treat my anxiety and ptsd. She gives amazing advice like the kind you d get from a really close friend. She listens to what you have going on in your life. She truly cared for her patients. I hate thst I'm moving out of state... she is hands down the best doctor I have ever had for helping my mental issues. She's definitely worth looking into. I can't say enough good things about her. I will miss you Dr. Hasan!!!

I love Dr. Hasan. She's straight to the point and actually listens when you talk and adjusts medication accordingly. This is the first time in the past six years where my doctor has actually listened to me. Okay I normally don't write reviews, but Dr Hasan changed my life. I was reluctant to see a psychiatrist for the longest time and finally broke down and saw her. She is extremely intelligent, direct, and she cares about treating you in the right way. She knows what she is doing and I can't say enough great things about her.
