I had the pleasure of interning at Lepage from January 2013 through December 2013. It was a truly rewarding experience and I learned so much about the ins and outs of a psychological/psychiatric practice. Dr. Lepage has a remarkable staff working alongside her. They all have different specialties and different therapeutic techniques, but they all work together to serve their clients. They offer so many different services from therapy for all ages to support groups to psycho-educational testing to forensic evaluations and more. This is a terrible place, and it can be hard to tell if you haven't had a positive experience before. I'm not basing this review off of one visit or even one person here but rather the entire group. I am writing this when I am no longer their patient and have come to understand what a good psychiatrist or therapist is like - and this review is to save others the time I wasted here. I'll start off by saying the good: they always answer the phone and listen to voicemails, they stick to their rules and give you a lot of flexibility, even being able to talk using FaceTime or Skype! That is pretty cool. They have a pretty modern approach to things. That said, the negatives far outweigh the positives. I have seen both a psychiatrist and a psychologist / therapist here and was severely disappointed in both. The psychiatrist barely spent any time listening or understanding and just prescribed without even figuring out the cause or problem and this can lead to misdiagnosis - and if you have the wrong medication you are stuck waiting a long time - something which may not even be possible for those with severe mental illness. Being stuck on a bad medication can be terrible but I was not told anything about the medicine at all, there were no explanations or what to expect just a simple "take this and get out" type thing. Again, this can easily lead to misdiagnosis because they don't even know what's wrong! The worst would be the psychologist who claims to be using CBT but -It wasn't. After about four months of weekly meetings we accomplished nothing and the therapist was still trying to "learn" about me and was unable to answer any of my questions! Very basic questions too such as "what should I expect in therapy?" The therapist was a great person but terrible therapist and that is really bad for your mental health because you come to get better and you're not here to meet a good person, you're here to meet a person who can HELP you get better, who can guide you and is intelligent and knowledgeable about subjects. That was not this place. This whole process was completely different when I went to an actual CBT therapist. Finding a GOOD therapist is hard, and it takes time but believe me when I say it is worth it - and the ones here- or at least the one I met- was terrible and didn't understand or listen. Finally, the receptionist - is someone who seems nice at first but is anything but kind or understanding of things are not going 100% smoothly. She gets frustrated and angry easily and has on more than one occasion made remarks that are very - unprofessional. You are coming here to get better, not worse. I'm sure they are great as people but they were not great as therapists or psychiatrists. I highly recommend going someplace else - and trust me there are a lot of absolutely amazing places in the RTP area. We live in an area where we have many intelligent individuals and a lot of doctors or therapists to choose from - your time is valuable so spend it wisely on what will make you better, not worse.

I would give then less if I could. My ex husband and I use there servisus for a parent coordinator and it was nothing short of a catastrophe. The woman we worked with created an biased and adversarial environment that keeped us blaming one another instead of working together. We now have a more experienced parent coordinator that is working to undue the damage done by this group and the difference has been nothing short of Amazing. Do Not Use Them if you have Any Other option. Tossing dice would be more effective.

Unfortunately never got to to work with anyone at this office because after calling to make the initial appointment (during which the owner told me that I could research their website and choose a therapist out of the few that she suggested that I was most interested in working with) they changed my therapist last minute without my knowledge or consent. I was so excited to get started with the therapist I chose after research and was very disappointed they tossed me from one person to the other without asking me first or calling to explain that I had been switched. The new therapist didn't even know I was already scheduled with someone else. This office seems to have communication issues, and even if I was switched for a legitimate reason, I should have been notified beforehand. Just rubbed me the wrong way, I think I'll find another office in the area to work with.

Extremely unhappy with the "counseling." My wife and I went to couples therapy and the therapist did nothing that we couldn't do ourselves. I had to specifically ask her to give some opinion or input on our situation. If you are looking for advice or answers, this is not the place for you.
