Had lots of growth and healing, and worked with her well despite having autism. She will listen to your thoughts on what direction you want your therapy to go. Good with referrals and with encouragement. Joyous and free spirited. Best Psychiatrist I've ever had. Also she does not hold an MD, she is instead a D.O. which is another year of study, to do with holistic interactions between body systems and bones, and did her residency in Psychiatry. Dr. Gupta is a well rounded doctor, and excellent psychiatrist. She has excellent therapists in house as well if you want to double down.

I've gone for three sessions with Morrow Dowdle and after yesterday's session I will no longer be returning. I was lost a few pounds since my last session not drastic but knew that it has reflected how these past few weeks have been. I was in the mix of talking to her about my concerns and what is going on in my life personally that I am struggling with it has been iterated to her that I have no one around NC to talk to and that I am alone down here. (Originally from VA) as I was telling her about everything and how I feel it's effected me she was quick to up my medicines dose and mentioned that we can add additional medicine to help with my concerns as needed. I was still telling her how I was feeling and she gets up and leaves for the door indicating my session was over there was no one else in the waiting room and I could even make it to my car before I called my grandma balling about how I feel that if my psychiatrist won't even listen to me I'm better off dead. I waiting to write this to see if my mood on the issue would change but it has not and it's been 16 hrs.

Not only do i get PHENOMENAL phyciatric counesling here, I also receive wonderful customer service. Every staff member has a unique wonderful personality and they genuinely care about their clientel. I have been having some trouble getting blood work done for a program I am doing at Carolina House. Today after my psychiatric apt, I asked if there was any way they could do the blood work. They got me in within the hour. Kind, fast, respectful, and over all personable. I was very pleased. Then to top it off, after my bloodwork i was feeling a bit dizzy due to fasting the whole day and lots of Viles of blood taken from me. The staff managed to scroung up snacks and a sprite so I could feel less dizzy and get my blood sugar up. I am very very impressed with this office. If you want amazing psychiatric help and want to feel comfortable in a personable, friendly environment, Gupta Psychiatry is for you!!

As a fellow health care provider, the providers did their due diligence in assessing my health status, formultating my diagnosis, and getting me on a medication regimen that has truly helped me. If I were a lay person, I would have been very comfortable with the care I've received. An added bonus, the staff is friendly and, the environment is inviting.

Took 2 weeks just to get and appt, I was on my way stuck in traffic and called to say I was running about 20 minutes late and I was put on hold for about 5 minutes (still wasting gas!) Then she comes back and says that there is a policy if you're late it's automatically rescheduled. How are you located in Raleigh with tons of traffic with a policy like this? And she wasn't very sympathetic, She did say there was and opening appt tomorrow "she thought" but would have to go ask someone else and said she would call me back in 5 minutes and it's 3 hours later so I'm pretty sure I'm not getting that call. I can definitely say I wall NOT be rescheduling! ;) **WASTE OF TIME** I COULDVE USED ALL OF THIS 2/3 WEEKS GETTING HELP FROM A LEGIT OFFICE with good customer service!

A very organized office, this practice is a great complement to the counseling I receive from my therapist. The folks working in the reception office are always helpful, and I’ve never waited for more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. Appointments can be difficult to schedule last-minute, but I think that speaks to the popularity of this practice, and their apparent commitment to keep their appointments starting on-time. And they really do their best to squeeze you in if you need to speak about a medication adjustment (reception has called me back after a cancellation opened up an earlier appointment). I’ve seen three of their providers and I have been extremely impressed with each of their willingness to listen to me and provide information and guidance on the options that I have for treatment. These folks manage my prescriptions, my therapist helps me with the rest. While I don’t have a ton of experience with other providers, I can’t imagine an easier, more streamlined approach to psychiatric medication management. In summary, as a complement to the therapy I am receiving from my therapist, these folks do a great job. Highly recommended.

We have known this clinic and staff for a while and I must say I may be biassed. The clinic location is great as for accessibility from freeways and local residential area, staff are very pleasant and professional. Telephone and call in response is great and you will be surprised to get appointments for your referrals much sooner than many other places. Very ethical practice with practitioners mindful of not catering to many of the drug seekers. Very clear in terms of the services provided including medication management and counselling. Occasionally you will see patients or attendants of patients getting unhappy as like any ethical practice they get rejected for unreasonable medication demands. Doctors here are very caring and responsive based on feedback from several referrals I know of.

My husband has been under their care for over a year dealing with chronic insomnia among other serious disorders. Seeing a different provider at each appointment, more often than not, took a toll on his quality of care. Once the main doctor focused on him it became clear they were running out of ideas. Also she lacked a level of personableness and very quickly interrupts when you try to explain things to her. Instead of listening to him earlier about the severity of what he has been going through and the desperation it has lead to, the whole process has been drug out. This ultimately led to him taking drastic measures for some relief, which was met with disdain instead of understanding. Now that he in a way "took matters into his own hands" for a semblance of relief, now they are taking him seriously and referring him elsewhere, obviously happy to have him off their hands. It has been a waste of time. The auxiliary staff have always been as helpful as they can and are very pleasant. Maybe if you have a garden variety condition they could help you, but if it is complicated and serious, you might want to look somewhere else.

If you're looking for a place to write you a prescription, this is the place. I walked in there with the intentions on getting prescribed Ad/Hd medicine and ended up with a nightmare of insurance to deal with. This doctor office is simply pushing any type of high end medicine to get their cut from the big pharma. I HIGHLY recommend not using them. As I went from four different medications for a simple AD/HD diagnosis, yet they could never put me on a generic form. For example, I was prescribe a medicine that would suite my "disability" however, it was expensive and I had no clue until my insurance deductible was ate up. aka medicine that I really needed for breathing was $550 by end of July .... aka I had to wait till January of the next year before I got the benefit of my insurance because the EXPENSIVE medicine they put me on ate it up! I went to a different doctor and they laughed and said the same thing I am preaching, this company is simply pushing high end pills to get their "cruises" and set backs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING TO GUPTA, I WAS A PATIENT FOR 2 YEARS. Yes they are nice and friendly, but they are not there to be nice to you, they are there to make money off you.. I wish I could post my number on here so I could advise everyone to not go to gupta but then my review obviously wouldnt be posted.. Gupta, you are a terrible organization and should be ashamed of yourselves. I even spoke with my doctor Erin K. and she would commonly make jokes of other patients, how I was the easiest one to get along with.... Are you serious!?!?! people come to you to cry their hearts out yet all you got to do is make fun of them? wow.

Garbage provider. Sees you more than necessary in order to justify additional co-pays despite no change in treatment. Gives you literally just enough refills so that you need to come back exactly at 3 months so that you're left with no refills and can't get a prescription filled. I would not recommend this practice, they do not care about their patients.

They genuinely don’t care about their patients. They pass you around, easily assign you to a different doctor who doesn’t know your history. Changed systems causing a huge lapse in medication. The guy at the front desk is an angel. The rest of the women couldn’t care less if you’re in a crisis and need help. Appointments disappear, they don’t use reminders efficiently. I pay cash and they act like there’s something wrong with that. I’m giving you more money than insurance gives you and get treated like garbage. No thanks.

The crew at Gupta are easily the most caring and compassionate group i have ever been to. Everyone at the practice is outstanding and have gone above and beyond to take care of me and my family. Dr. Liz Morgan is exceptional. They genuinely care about their patients, which is becoming harder and harder to find in the field. I have been a patient for going on 2 years and havent got a single bad word to say about them. Im guessing that some of the negative reviews below are from people that dont understand that diagnosing and treating mental health isnt as cut and dry as say seeing a doctor because you have a cold or the flu. In the past, i have seen some very shady and unethical phychiatrists that obviously couldnt care less about their patients. Gupta is the polar opposite of that, and i am incredibly grateful every single day that i found them.

Great Experience! Jenny has been taking care of me and she listens to all my concerns. She is able to explain what medicines do and what will work with me. Because of a heart condition I have to Coumadin and she has been so wonderful about finding out what drugs do not interact with my heart medications. I was not having any luck with a medication and her solution was simple and all I had to do is take it with dinner and I have been amazed and the change. I have to pass a certification test for work and I have a short attention span and she was able to help me complete the necessary paperwork so that I can get extended time. I strongly recommend her. The staff as a whole is a amazing and the office is beautiful.

Terrible customer service. No one ever answers the phone. I requested a phone call to set up a new patient appointment and it took several days. I was told that they were sorry they couldn’t accommodate me, but “we are providing assistance to our current established patients”.

Jennifer is the best ever! I walked in as a new patient 6 months ago with some pretty severe depression and anxiety and on a cocktail of meds that weren't helping but hurting. Very hard to get in touch with someone here or get a call back once you become a patient. Sometimes it takes 3 - 4 calls and more than 24 hours for a return call. My wife was made to actually have anxiety after her visit today (Dec 15th), the secretary was very rude to her and upset her. Maybe they grew to fast, not really sure but things went down hill quickly after our first appointment. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.

Some reviewers on here must have psychiatrist and psychologist confused. This is the former and if your condition is serious then working with the two in tandem can be beneficial. All the nurses and doctors are friendly, professional and they all seem to enjoy what they do. This cuts the tension in what could be a stressful place for some people. If I had to see another doctor I’ve never felt they weren't on the same page as the doctor I saw before. They’re professionals that are there to help and that's evident across the practice.

Today was just my second time at this practice but so far I’m very impressed! The facility is warm, inviting and very tastefully decorated. Every staff member I have come in contact with has been SO nice and friendly, it really sets them apart from any other practice I’ve been to. Elizabeth Morgan is wonderful and truly understands and empathizes with everything I tell her. I’m really impressed by her knowledge and insights, it doesn’t feel like she’s just putting me through the process as a generic patient, I feel cared for and that my health is important to her. I definitely recommend!

I don't recommend this doctor

I would never recommend anyone to this practice. I went to Dr.Gupta for help during a difficult time in my life. I was battling depression, had recently become pregnant, however, my fiancé decided he didn't want children yet. He said he changed his mind because he wasn't ready, and was demanding I get an abortion. (My fiancé was a patient of Dr.Gupta as well) He made an appointment to see Dr. Gupta's counselor, and because they knew the situation and that I was his fiancé they asked if I would consider a joint appointment, and I said yes. We saw the counselor. During the session I was crying. My ex-fiancé was adamant that abortion was in my best interest, and that he was upset because he had driven me to an abortion clinic a couple of weeks earlier, but I refused to get one. The counselor who appeared to favor his side and show him greatest understanding looked at me and told me that his opinion was "not wrong", and that both of us had valid points. She urged me to hear him out. I could not believe it. I met with Dr. Gupta, and told her I felt her counselor showed little empathy and in no way assisted the situation. She appeared aggravated that I critiqued her counselors method and LITERALLY told me that I had "no right" coming to my ex-fiancés session, and that it should have been private to begin with. I explained to her that I was not supposed to come but that it was HER staff that recommended I come in for joint session because of the situation. She stated she saw nothing wrong with how her counselor handled the therapy session and I told her she didn't understand, and began crying. She told me "I know exactly how you feel. I went with my friend to an abortion clinic recently when she got an abortion and the people outside yelled at us". That was one of the most ignorant statements I have heard from a professional in my life. First, nobody knows exactly how another person feels. As a psychiatrist, Dr. Gupta should know that. And second, stating that she knew how I felt because she accompanied someone else into an abortion clinic is ridiculous. The two comparisons are very different. For every bad situation brought to light, there are many that are not. I can't imagine I was the first or last person treated this way. There is not one word here that I would feel uncomfortable stating directly to the practice because it is one hundred percent true. Choose another psychiatrist/mental health provider and don't put yourself in a position where the place you go to for help makes you feel a hundred times worse.

This place is not only gorgeous on the inside and comfortable, but they truly helped me. I have recommended them to several people and will always recommend them. I also see Amy upstairs for therapy. She is awesome! If you're having any problems, this is definitely the place to go. Super sweet people, including the front desk staff.

Hateful People, 0 Stars My wife used to see these hateful people and they eventually drove away the therapist she was seeing, so that was that. I actually tried to see them myself once, and one of the Jennifers ( did not write the last name down and there is more than one) was a hateful POS who did not listen to a word a said and ran with her own sadistic narrative that made the most money for the practice. Avoid at all cost.
