I was a patient of Dr. Gina Duncan. This year I entered a residential treatment program program, while I was in the treatment program the office sent me correspondence that I was unable to receive or send a response (No phone/internet access in residential). Dr. Duncan terminated me from her practice. I called and explained to that I was in a residential treatment facility and therefore unable to respond to the correspondence, through no fault of my own, but she refused to reinstate my treatment. This has left me running low on necessary medication and no psychiatric care when I need it the most. I would not recommend.
Doktor Pelucio Best
Dr. Pelucio has been my provider for many years. I just recently had my 2nd child. After struggling with severe postpartum depression with my first six years ago, I was terrified of a similar experience with this baby. Dr. Pelucio followed me closely during my pregnancy and was readily available to both myself and my husband after delivery. This experience has been completely different from the first. Please reach out if you too struggle with this illness.
Untrustworthy and inaccurate therapist. Also, unprofessional front office staff (from what I experienced and observed during my 30 mins in the waiting area). If you have a productive, busy life and don't have time for nonsense insurance codes, seek therapy elsewhere. I was told "'while you've come in for issue y, the insurance form will reference diagnostic code z because it's required by insurance to process & pay the claim". My insurance company told me differently (yes, they need a diagnostic code, but it does not need to come from Axis 1. Rather, it can and should be the most accurate and specific code possible) which I quickly communicated to the therapist. Still, the therapist dug in her heels, told my the insurance rep. was wrong, that she's "been doing this for 40 years", and told me the code she was using was the most general/ least stigmatized of the codes she thought would be required for insurance processing and that I shouldn't be opposed to it. I explained that I wanted my true reason for the visit to be cited on the insurance form using the appropriate code, but ultimately she preferred to lose me as a client out of stubbornness - not a good sign! Educate yourself and don't allow false records to be set due to a compliant attitude. The staff claimed that she is the best and most experienced they have - so watch out for the rest of the group!
Valerie constantly sends in the wrong prescription dosage to the pharmacy, when she would get around to actually sending it in. We’ve been getting the run around from her over this issue. The phone system is such a Labyrinth that it is pure drudgery to navigate through. We’ve been treated very poorly. Stay away from here.
I saw chandler perry & she was very kind hearted and nice. She has a very warm personality. She wasn’t stigmatizing . I’ve only seen her for one appointment but she was easy to talk to . I was specifically looking for a woman provider because they tend to be more communicative & she was great . The front desk & checkout staff could be a bit more warm & the nurses are very direct & could talk down to you a little less in their tone when you call but I got a very friendly vibe even when I just entered (mostly from the psychiatry staff) Good practice overall , loved chandler Perry’s demeanor & style but the front desk & checkout staff was abrupt .
Honestly the worst customer service ever. Also, don’t come here if you want to get in and out. The Drs. are never on time for appointments.
I just moved here recently and was looking for a new Dr. I tried out a couple places before thankfully finding eastover. It is worth the wait on the waiting list. Eastover is a great practice. The doctors are wonderful. The staff is professional and kind. There is always someone on call 24/7 for emergencies. Phone calls are always returned. I really appreciate how invested eastover is in their patient care. Best practice in the area.
Dr. Reddick is without a doubt the best psychiatrist. It’s easy to see that he genuinely cares about his patients and their treatment, well-being, and quality of life. He takes all concerns seriously and makes sure to answer any questions to ensure patients are comfortable. Dr. Reddick also keeps up with the new pharmaceuticals being released as well as when they become available as generics. He also stays current with other therapeutic techniques aside from medication to ensure a well-rounded treatment plan. Dr. Reddick is quite a knowledgeable, talented psychiatrist.
They are terrible. We urgently needed our Medical records and they required us to drive to the office and sign a release (It is an hour away). They told us it may still take 14 days, which is fine so we waited and waited. After the 14 days they informed us that the Doctor was out of town and that she refused to release them. Well she has been back in town and still refuses to send them. It has officially been 2 months and I have called countless times. They are extremely difficult to deal with and do not treat their customers like they matter. Very frustrating place to deal with, stay far far away.
I have been a patient of Dr. Pellucio for over10 yrs. He is the best doctor I have ever had. He invested a lot of time initially with me to find the right medicines at the right dosages to benefit my life. He has always been there to prescribe additional medications during lifes major crisiss even when I was 600 miles away. I love their staff as well.
Dr. Chandler is amazing!! I’ve seen several other psychiatrist and she’s the first one I felt really took time to understand what I was feeling. Just in the few months I’ve been seeing her I’ve made more progress than I have in about 2 years of seeing other doctors.
Chandler Perry was amazing, very kind and helped me understand each point of her treatment plan. I felt like we we working together to find the right plan for me, which (in my experience) is rare in the medical side of mental health care. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
I have been a client of this practice, seeing two different psychiatrists, and many different therapists there, since 1995. Everyone I have encountered at the practice has been absolutely wonderful and kind to me. That includes the people I see directly at reception, the people in insurance and appointments, and the nurses I have called on a somewhat regular basis over all these years. The professional and extremely kind care that I have received, including the warm smiles, has been a major factor in helping me to get through some very dark times over all these years. I cannot imagine a better place for a person to get the help they need. I wish all of you who read this peace and happiness. I have no doubt today that there is hope for all of us who have difficulties, and I encourage each one of you to hang in there, take your medication as prescribed and give feedback whenever you need to. I assure you that these people will succeed, with your participation, to get to a much better place as you find that living and thriving is absolutely possible for you and those you love. Peace Be With You All! #hopeandhelpisinexhaustible
I have been a patient of Dr John Humphrey for approximately 12 years. He has helped me with chronic pain, chronic anxiety and depression. He's lead me through the death of my mother and my closest other family members. Survivor's guilt is a horrible thing most people don't realize we have it but we do. Without the intelligence and compassion along with humor I would not have made it to the better frame of mind I am in now. I'm still anxious and I'm still angry. But he has helped me to put the guilt and a lot of the anger into a perspective that makes it easier to live with. Before telling him about things I have never told anyone else and holding the door sealed so tightly That I couldn't find myself thinking about the reasons why I am so angry and anxious ,every minute of every day. Thanks for the way he has been listening to the word s I have been saying out loud he also heard the things that I could not find a way to get out of my brain and heart. I do take my medication Ive never put myself nor him into a position of abusing them.. I have too much respect 4 the help he's giving me as well as respect for him as a person to put either one of us in that kind of position. I feel like I'm losing a very important contributor in my life in more ways than one. I tried to talk him out of retiring but to no avail. He has assured me that he will make sure that whoever takes his place will be someone who will understand my issues 1 problems. I'm just grateful that I'll be able to see him the rest of this year. I give much more than thank you for your compassion and empathy and the since of humor that is the best way to put You off your guard and let him know what's happening in your life and how hard it is to be able to get up and do it again. He is more appreciated by me than I can ever put iont words. Enjoy yourself in retirement and go have fun with your family,,,, I can't think of anyone who deserves it more.
Dr. Pelucio is amazing! Nikki, at the front desk is wonderful!
Niki, Devon, Dr. Shahan and Sally Ann are the best! Their dedication, care and concern for their patients is invaluable. I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and know my well being and mental health has been nurtured by them all. Thank you will never be adequate.
If you have a child who is experiencing mental health issues, I highly recommend Valerie Glass (Psychiatric Nurse) and Tiffany Henry (Counseling). Ive been going here since high school and they have always made me feel welcome, warm, accepted, understood, and have met my concerns with compassion. I never feel rushed and they always provide their full attention. Nicki at the front desk and all the other staff at checkout and billing are very very friendly too. Not a scary and stigmatizing place like some others.
Went here for help with my ADHD and bipolar disorder. The doctor they give me Angela Louie was nice at first but I kept having issues getting my meds. Not sure if was miscommunication between the doctor and cvs but it never got resolved and she dropped me as her patient now I’m back to square one
The doctors are completely on time. Everyone that works there is kind and courteous. It’s a very relaxing place while getting the help you need.
I'm not sure if I can express in words how much Dr. Gellar has improved and positively impacted my life. He is compassionate, thorough, wickedly brilliant and maintains a warm presence to put patients at ease. The day he retires will be a sad one for myself and the Charlotte community. I will forever be grateful for the role he has played in keeping my life on a healthy, stable track.
Dr. Duncan is wonderful! She's very professional and efficient, yet warm and personable as well. I always feel like she's genuinely invested in my wellbeing and never feel like she's watching the clock or rushing me.
Very nice place with super friendly staff. I don't remember ever visiting such a friendly and comfortable mental healthcare facility. Pricing is standard for non-insured patients, and absolutely worth it. These doctors are wonderful!!!
Excellent, personal care. The entire staff is your care team. Have never let me down in 20 years.
I feel that they all genuinely care about my wellbeing, not just my physician but the entire staff.
I've been to a lot of clinics, believe me, and this is the only one in Charlotte that never screwed up or did anything but provide acceptable care.
Chandler is always professional, polite, and understanding. I've never had to wait more than five minutes to see her. She is very intuitive and always takes time to listen to my issues and needs. I'm so glad that I found her after my previous Dr. retired. She definitely is an asset to Eastover Psychological.
Dr Humphrey is the best doctor I have ever had! He includes me in all medical decisions and does not treat me like a kid. I could not ask for more.Expert knowledge and takes the time to ensure my well being!
Everyone at Eastover is wonderful. Three of my daughters see Dr. Reddick for very different reasons, and he is excellent with all three of them. I see Dr. Pelucio, and it has been a very positive and healing experience for me. Ms Niki at the front desk is one of the most caring souls I’ve ever seen as a receptionist, and Jasmine always makes check out and rescheduling a breeze. I wholeheartedly recommend Eastover if you are looking for good psychiatric care.
Good+ rating for a great group of people. The whole staff at Eastover is a great group of people. Don't know where I'd be now if it wasn't for their genuine caring and understanding.
Valarie Glass is an idiot.
I have been with Dr Gellar for over 3 years & I have always enjoyed my visits with him every time. He is the most caring, understanding, good listener & always gives me great advice on what the next steps will be.
Dr. Reddick is excellent as well as the eppg staff!! Would highly recommend
I have seen Dr. Gellar for years and Erin Thomas as. my therapist both are great
Ms Nikki at the front desk is amazing and so helpful. Dr Puluscio is the best doctor I've ever had. I've been a patient for over 10 years now and will not go anywhere else.
I have been going to Dr. Shahan for over 20 years. I have never had any issues with her. She’s always very helpful and listens to everything you have to say.
