Right now this business has a score of 2.9 out of 5 and this rating has been based on 46 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an reviews average is average, neither too high nor too low, and it's founded on a very large number of scores, so we can conclude that the valuation is very credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are happy with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Psychiatrist belongs to the category of Psychiatrist.
Overall the hospital is very clean and typically treat you reasonably. I was on Mount Laurel and I experienced great nurses who treated me with the upmost respect. On the other hand, the psychiatric techs could sometimes be horrible and downright mean to you. A lot of the time they will not give me the privacy that you deserve when you were trying to take a shower or change clothes. They will come in your room a lot of the time and just start going through your things without any type of notice. Although I do understand this is necessary because of the situation and safety but sometimes a little heads up is all I asked for. You are always on a very tight schedule And should comply accordingly if not you may just buy yourself a couple more extra days. Anytime they change your medications they will automatically extend your stay 24 more hours sometimes even more depending on what goes on. I had Dr. B she was rushing I don’t know her last name Fol and should comply accordingly if not you may just buy yourself a couple more extra days. Anytime they change your medications they will automatically extend your stay 24 more hours sometimes even more depending on what goes on. I had Dr. B she was Russian I don’t know her last name Fully that she was really nice and understanding and I always made sure that you were listening to and always brought other members of the family and if needed to get a bigger perspective. At the end of the day if you do require inpatient treatment this is a really good place of course every place has their downfall but this was a steady good group of people that cared and most the time you do not get that one going into a psych ward.
Took my obviously adhd son here and Dr Fox claimed he was mentally retarded. I'm glad we now live in Raleigh and will no longer have to deal with this place.
Very disappointed , I felt like if you don't have insurance or are a minority you would get send home without any care as an outpatient . I'm so disappointed and feel that they don't care
This place will threaten your mental health worse. Especially if you dare be "African American". Which I was, and I dealt with someone who lashed out on me because they ganged up on me over some evident lie someone else told on me but because I'm ugly and I'm black, this patient threatened me the remainder of my duration here. This was a nightmare and hell. I wish I could report my experience somewhere! They don't value your mental health here and your insurance also won't cover most of if not all of it. Good luck.
Please do not waste your time pursuing any meaningful mental health work at this facility. First the referral system, billing, scheduling and policies are dehumanizing, out of date and broken. If you make it out of that maze and actually get an appointment- be prepared to deal with overworked, apathetic therapists with whom patient care is certainly near the bottom of the list of priorities. Maybe you can roll the dice and get lucky but the odds are stacked against you from the beginning by how this place is run and who they hire.
Do not go here to see Dr.Fox, it is infuriating being in a room with someone who judges you and will not let you speak. Doesn't give a damn about your opinion on your own mental health
A 1 hour CONSULTATION with a psychologist was billed under a PSYCHIATRIST, resulting in a $400 bill, of which my BC BS insurance was only able to have it discounted 14% resulting in out of pocket costs near $350!! When I called the office, they told me that if I paid in full, they would discount the rate by 30% but I'd have to call Carolinas Medical Center billing to have it done. When I did that, the billing department told me that was bad information and I'd have to pay the full amount since my insurance covered some of it. Had I known this was all going on before seeing my bill, I would have paid 30% off the original amount and saved even more money!! On top of that, I wasn't pleased with my consultation and won't be back. Ridiculous!!
Neat, clean, easy to find but secluded.
Great people
I've never rated anyone as I prefer to call the business in person but in this case they didn't care. Mental health should be about the patients not the money. This facility requires a referral to be seen. I was helping a friend who went to their primary to get a referral. All of this takes time and money. The referral was sent to this facility. When we called to make an appointment we were told that they would not take referrals from Novant health care. They don't care about the patients just worrying about their competition. This is disgusting!!!
Committed here 5/29 last year after huge screw ups at NorthEast Medical Center where nobody could read my file, apparently, see that I take MAOI medicines and improperly medicated me, resulting in severe delerium and psychosis. They continued the status quo, resulting in serotonin syndrome and a 48 hour induced coma. Now, I'll have a higher risk of Parkinson's disease and cardiovascular problems (I take MAOI meds because of loss of dopamine function as it is!) I hope the practitioners here get their licenses suspended!
The people working here do not care about any of the patients at this hospital. Yes the reviews are true and they will drug and intimidate you to stay as long as possible so they can make more money. Your family and loved ones won't be able to contact you and vise versa, they make sure of that. They treat patients who come voluntarily and at their most vulnerable without any level of decency, respect, or compassion. I strongly urge anyone who is need of help or has a family member in need of help to exhaust all other possibilities before ever setting foot in this disgrace of a hospital. Over a year after my stay here and I still have nightmares of my experience. Worst "care" of my entire life.
My daughter was in this facility a couple of weeks ago. It was obvious she was in no shape to leave. But medical care is all about $$ and not the human life. She even told the therapist she would take her life. The therapist commented that’s ok she had signed a letter clearing them of liability. Less than two days later she was in intensive care after an overdose.
Didnt try to make me take things i didnt want to. Great place to relax and heal. Support groups were helpful.
I was here with a friend for an appointment. The lobby is very clean. They offer coffee, tea, lollipops, crackers, cookies & candy for free. & also offer a vending machine separately for more options. The lobby is sorted into two separate areas, kids & adults. They have toys for kids to play with. Such as an easel, blocks, crayons & cartoons play on their television. Loved it!!!!
My experience when admitted was good overall. I learned a few things that have been a little helpful in my journey to getting my mental health in order. I gave 3 stars because the office at the other end of the facility where patients go for therapy doesn't have the best customer service. I wont say they all have poor customer service, but the lady that schedules appts isnt the most pleasant to speak with. Her tone can come off a little hostile so its hard to tell if thats just how she is or if it's based on what the caller, patient, patient rep is calling about
Pros: * Clean. * Professional. Cons: * Poor communication. * I was told to 'Google' the life-altering treatment option instead of them giving 'informed consent'. * They will not fill out FMLA paperwork. * No privacy when it comes to phone calls with your family member. Only two phones. * Took them 2 days to get the Release of Information paperwork to my family member.
they will lie to your face and intimidate you into staying longer than you need to. seriously do yourself a favor and find somewhere else.
Unfortunately the bad experiences here far outweighed the good. A horrible experience with original doctor and like others have commented some of the staff is downright nasty and shouldn't be in this profession, which overshadowed the truly excellent ones. Wish it would have been a much better experience but couldn't wait to get out of there and yes, had to sign papers saying you were in there voluntarily, which wasn't the case for 90% of those there, in order to get out or else they prolong it and you then have to wait to get in front of a judge where they "suggest" they might keep you. Its a racket
I was treated for 6 days here after hitting my absolute bottom. Not only were the employees caring but fun too. It makes bad situations better when you’re surrounded with people that love their job. Also, the food was GREAT! The only problem I had, were some of the patients. If I ever get that low again (hoping like hell I don’t) this will be the only place I would go to. I am forever grateful for the life long friendships I’ve made here.
I was here for over a week, most of the staff are nice and really care. Dr.Lewis is awesome. The facility is clean. Dr. Hudson is horrible, she should not be working with people who have mental health issues. She is the reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. I am grateful to the staff that did help me.
Very caring staff. If you're interested in healing, you must make yourself available and be vulnerable. You will not only learn how to cope it also gain perspective from your peers. The overall experience is up to you.
The p.o.s. Docs will lie to you to get you to stay the extra 72 hours. I spent 13 days in that place cause of them. I'll kill mi self before I go back
I was in River Burch, such a clean place, all the staff was awesome and nice, I had no issues.
Appointments are always 3-4 months out. Phone lines are never answered in less than 15 minutes. This is the only facility (nearby) that can treat some issues in the medical group.
My sister is going to be admitted to this hospital probably today which is Sunday Nov,6 2016 or sometime during this week for severe depression & self injury
Can't get in touch with loved ones recieving treatment and they obviously dope them up according to my conversations with my loved one.
I went in feeling very lost and completely hopeless. I came out feeling positive and very hopeful. The facility is very clean. The staff are very caring.
"Doctor" Christopher Fox is awful. Blames parents for child's chemical imbalance, won't keep up with current research, changes diagnosis on each visit, and talks down to parents in the few minutes that he spends with them. Wanted to give a bi-polar child stimulants. He said child was safe to go home after child attacked a staff person in the ER and had to be sedated and restrained. This man is dangerous, avoid at all costs.
Drug em up ship them out call it stable not only putting paitents in danger because they arent ready but there family's as well shame on the DRs n Therapist here u took an oath to treat n do no harm. You should be brought in front of a medical review board!!!!!! I know I am contacting them
I went to Davidson a few weeks ago, on mount Loral, and the facility was really nice, but so many of the staff didn't really show that they cared . I think that the only staff members that showed that she cared was Emily. I stayed here for 11 days and the only reason that I left was because I was being threatened to be sent to the state hospital. I was sent back to my residential facility by their hospital transport with about 4 or 5 bottles of prescriptions. To me that just didn't seem like a smart thing to do. But anyways, long story short, I left Davidson, went back to my residential facility for a day and ended up right back in another short term placement. I can say that The therapists here were really nice and the groups were helpful for the most part, but there wasn't ever any one on one therapy, and I think that would work a lot better because people like me don't like group settings.
Don’t go to Dr Fox if you want to get listened to. It won’t happen there.
I was here for just over a week. It was my first time staying inpatient at a hospital for mental reasons. The “beds” are basically cinderblocks, and the cafeteria does NOT allow you to have more than one salt packet per meal, regardless of if you have any dietary needs specified by a dr. saying you have sodium limitations or not. Ask for a bit of salt? nope. It got to where we had to do a weird black market style salt trade. The organization between therapists and psychiatrists seems utterly chaotic. As a patient, I was telling all of the staff that one of my biggest triggers is financial discussions, and I dont control it as I’m still considered a dependant. The day before I left, I was called out and handed a bill. I went to the staff with complaints that I was on verge of a panic attack (they tell you to tell them if theres any issues, so I did). They seemingly shrugged it off and said “go pace around in the hall for a bit.” Anthony and Emily were amazing staff members, but that’s about it.
Great place to heal your mind and your addiction. Was there when they first opened and the staff and techs were superb. Went back a year later and some of the techs could give a damn by their attitude but overall still a great place to heal.
