Doctors Estrada and Patrick were extremely helpful, as was their staff (Alyssa, Andre and Danny). The sessions were quick (roughly 20 minutes) and painless. The patients choose what they want to watch or listen to during the sessions (Netflix, Hulu, etc.).
Doctors/staff provide medical letters for verification; they are great with the insurance companies; and they offer to help you get Genomind testing if you want it—using a cotton swab to test your genetic makeup and see which medicines will work best/have an adverse affect on you. They are psychiatrists, so they can prescribe, but prescriptions are not mandatory. They also reach out to any other specialists you are seeing, all in accordance with HIPAA regulations. They’re open late to accommodate work schedules. It’s a lax but professional environment and they’re extremely easy to contact. They really do a lot of good for a lot of people, doctors and staff, alike. Patients meet with the doctors a handful of times and fill out questionnaires weekly, but for the most part, the technicians (staff) guide you through the process. It’s up to the patient how much they want to engage with the staff, so you don’t have to worry about any awkward “weather conversations”. Doctors are clearly concerned and knowledgeable. All in all it was a good experience—one that I recommend.
