I'm really glad I took advice of a friend and looked for Psychiatry in NYC after relocating here. I found the process to be thoughtful and helpful. Dr. Cohen was very understanding and made me feel very comfortable and was genuinely interested in helping me work through issues and not just prescribing me a treatment. He is a great listener and the staff was very professional and helpful. I highly recommend Principium Psychiatry and Dr. Cohen to anyone looking for psychiatric help.

Worst experience of my life. I flew to NY to spend 9 days for Ketamine infusion treatments. I have been suffering from depression all of my life and in my later years it has become worse after breast cancer. I have tried prescription medications with no success. The doctor was sick on the fist day of my first treatment. He had no backup plan to take care of me on that day. Fortunately my husband was with me and was able to work out an appointment later in the day to meet with a doctor and have my first infusion. The second infusion was on a Wednesday and at 6:45pm because the doctors nurse had her baby 2 weeks early and he had no back up plan for that. Then Friday I finally met the doctor in person, he spent 15 minutes with me before my third infusion. At that point I was very upset, I had not heard or seen the doctor the entire week until this Friday appointment. He had the nerve to say "He felt the week went pretty well!". Then, this morning, I finally after 9 days of being in NY meet with the doctor in his office for a scheduled one hour appointment before my final infusion here in NY. He grilled me for several minutes on what happens detail by detail when I am depressed. As if he wanted me to create this dramatic story of how I feel so depressed I want to take my own life. I left his office shaken, distraught and in shock! In no way ever, ever see this doctor. He is abusive and not caring He cares about racking up his $$$'s per hour, not a relationship with his patients. Extremely bad experience. I have to add if it wasn't for his back up doctor "Avvie" and his 2 nurses that did the infusions, his practice would be worthless.

Once in a great while, a patient encounters a doctor who rises above the rest. For me, that doctor is Ziv Cohen. After what felt like one thousand medical professionals, I stumbled across Dr. Cohen - and he changed my life. Why? Because he has a unique ability to listen without judgment and suggest or prescribe treatments as necessary. For me, a person struggling in a world where no one would ever think I had any problem at all, he helped me because his expertise is exceptional. I highly recommend him, especially for any of you that have tried, and tried again, without success, to find help.

He doesn't listen to his patients at all. Then throws tantrums and won't fill your prescriptions until you are borderline suicidal. Then he still won't. Had to stop seeing him because he seemed to have too many mental illnesses himself to be able to help others.

Absolute worst experience I have ever had in any Dr. office. No one ever answers phone or returns calls. Avishy Adri Is a pompous and condescending person I ever meet. He lied to me about my prescriptions Dismissed all I had to say. Actually thought he could call my previous Dr. to discuss me. When he did call (after I told him not to) my old Dr. inform him he can not talk about any patient without written consent from the patient, something you would think he would know! Even I knew that! Upon asking for my test on paper I took, told me I couldn’t have them. Federal mandates they are the property of the patient! This person is bad news. Stay away far away!
