I've had a great experience with Dr. Farkas. She's kind and open and efficient. As with any psychiatrist, the doctor can only be as good as you are open and honest with them. And because Dr. Farkas is so kind and caring, it's easy to open up to her. I always feel like she's up to give me as much time as I need for each appointment.

Safe, private and can login from almost anywhere. Wendy Reid's is extremely patient and understanding and is not pushy. She's great.

Have had a great experience with Wendy Reiss. She helped me find a medication regimen that works really well for me. It has helped me overcome some debilitating anxiety. I would recommend!

Video conferences with Wendy Reiss are always incredibly helpful. Not only is she a great listener, but she always has your best interest and is very detail oriented with her work. Always on time for her sessions, ready to listen diligently and always willing to help and support you in any way she can. She is also very flexible with her times - I have a busy schedule and she accommodates my times with early appointments, midday appoints, etc. Even though the sessions are short (around 15 minutes), Wendy makes the most of them, recalling and building on what you've told her in each and every session. Highly recommend this practice and working with Wendy.

I truly appreciate that I am able to do my video appointments from anywhere within New York, very convenient to my busy schedule! Wendy Reiss is a fantastic provider. She was able to correctly diagnose me right away after years of misdiagnosis with other providers and has helped me to get on the right path to healing. She is very personable and professional and makes me feel at ease.

i like this doctor because of: ease of getting appointments easy to talk to the doctor, down to earth, the fact that she offers online services, saves me the hassle of having to drive and wait in a waiting room not expensive (relatively) she just cares about you. accepts my insurance.

Love the convenience, super easy to communicate! Dr. Wendy Reiss is courteous, professional, and really listens. I am beyond thrilled that they also accept my insurance. Mental health needs to be addressed thoroughly and these doctors make certain that they provide the services.

I have been with Pearl for a while now, and the care is very, very good. My therapist has been so helpful and supportive—I highly recommend this practice. I am seeing some reviews about poor billing practices; this has not been my experience at all. As a matter of fact, before I could manage to make my insurance work, there was no pressure at all to maintain therapy weekly; per my own request, I was getting treatment off and on to ensure my finances stayed in order. Obviously, people have different experiences, but I have had a very good one.

The whole system is incredibly efficient, not costly and Wendy and Dr. Farkas and Marlene are all extremely professional, nice and very accommodating. I highly recommend!!!

I’ve been working with Wendy Reiss for over 8 months now and really enjoy the convenience of calling from home to talk to her and the attentiveness and no bs attitude she has. Highly recommended!

She’s pretty much awesome! It was my first time seeking mental health help, and I was very nervous about the process because of my uncertainty of medication. However, she explained everything to me, took me through the process of what some of medication could do to my body, and listened when I spoke about my feelings. Dr. Farkas is super compassionate, knowledgeable, and really easy to talk to. By far one of my favorite Doctors! Thank you Dr. Farkas!!

I love Dr. Farkas. Everything takes place online and is easily accessible. After twenty years of misdiagnoses, I finally received the correct diagnosis from Dr. Farkas and it's changed my life.

I was just sent a mass email today from Dr. Farkas’ office asking me to revise my review into a positive one. Upon seeing this, I just noticed she replied to my previous review and would like to address it. “Please note Dr Farkas NEVER had to reschedule 'all of her appointments' made on Zocdoc. She also NEVER transfers a booking made with her directly to a Nurse Practitioner since the practice has been up and running so this is inaccurate information and we would appreciate if in your own integrity, you could take that part of your review off. Along with your other reviews on different online platforms, stating your appointment was started 20 minutes late. According to our records, you showed up 20 minutes late so it would have been hard to start your appointment in time without you present. Best regards and wish you good luck in your endeavors, Pearl BH” I refuse to revise my review into a positive one given this was my personal experience and the exact information I was told by the “overenthusiastic enrollment specialist” who works as their receptionist/executive assistant. Im not going to defend my late appt zocdoc comment bc at the end of the day, it boils down to “he said, she said”. However, this review is to go on record and say that on the same day I left my 1st negative review 9 months ago, I immediately received a call from a blocked number and it was Dr. Farkas herself calling to reschedule. Had I not left the negative review that day, I never would have been seen.

Stay away, especially if you are a New York City resident. This is not a responsible health care provider for people in NYC. Over 5 months, through numerous people, they prescribed me medication that is dangerous to discontinue, and then bounced me to new doctors / nurses without informing the new providers of what would need to be prescribed. As a pure tele-health practice, they cannot prescribe many things without a face to face meeting, so this utter failure to plan for transition from one provider to another is a disaster. As I sit here tonight, the meds they prescribed me will run out on Thursday, when I will begin to run the risk of a seizure. Their response to me last week (Thursday) was "we will figure this out," including an option to drive over 3 hours away to meet my new practitioner (whose address is listed as 387 Park Avenue South and has a 347 area code number). Despite follow up, I then heard nothing until today, when I texted their administrator. The indifference was staggering. My "options" according to Pearl are to (i) drive to deep New Jersey, basically Pennsylvania, to meet in person with the provider they assigned my case to in May, knowing full well what they had prescribed me; (ii) wait until she is here on July 2 (my appointment was June 11, and their VERY next NYC availability was July 2); or (iii) "coordinate with your primary care doctor to refill our prescription until you can meet in person. They may advertise a space on Park Ave South, but it is a co-working cubicle at which they may have a presence once or twice a month. The 347 area code number is also a nice touch for a group of professionals who all practice outside of NYC. Pearl cycled me through three different health care professionals in 5 months, with each new one having no idea whatsoever what I had discussed with the last one (one had no idea what I'd been treated for!). They are also a pure tele-health practice, with no real presence here (see below), and an apparent inability to keep staff around. For many prescriptions, you must meet a professional in person at least once, a problem for a tele-health practice. This was aggravating with provider #1. By provider #3 it was dangerous. I met #1 face to face, she mysteriously left the practice, having prescribed to me meds that, if discontinued, run the risk of seizure. Person #2 saw me by tele-conference, and renewed the script having never met me. I was then told that #2 (whose answer to most questions was "go to the gym at 3:00 AM") had also left the practice, and that my new practitioner would conference with me on June 11, about a month later. #3 saw me by teleconference on June 11, again with only the vaguest idea of what I was being treated for, and NO idea what the practice had prescribed me. This was quite a problem, since Pearl's lack of communication or her lack of homework meant she could not prescribe without meeting me. As of June 11, she told me the next available in person meeting with anyone from Pearl was July 2. No one would be at their co-working space in the city before then. Again, look at this Google page - their address says 387 Park Avenue South. The final straw was being told last Thursday not to worry, they would make sure to have a solution. So I didn't make contingency plans on Thursday night. Or Friday. Then I heard nothing Friday. I emailed. Twice. Nothing. I still have not heard back from Provider #3 and it is now Monday night. In sum, this practice doesn't retain people well, and fails to plan safe patient transitions when their professionals leave and they transition cases. Don't risk it, go somewhere else.

DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM BY ANY MEANS! COMPLETE FRAUD. I found them through ZocDoc so immediately I thought to myself "okay, this should work." However, let me tell you this; they will randomly charge you arbitrary amounts. If you were to call them to resolve the unapproved charges, no one is there to assist. After 4-5 weeks, if nothing is solved and the billing department still does not answer your inquiries, then you would have to go out of your way and take matters into your own hands, e.g. going to your bank. It is a 10-15 minute video conference where nothing is being asked except if the medication is working and if not then they will put you on a new medication. I repeat do not seek the services of Pearl Behavioral Health. Absolutely the worst psychiatric service I have ever received. All they want is your money and what I mean by that is if they inappropriately charge you, they will have no reason to return your calls or emails because they quite frankly do not care as long as money is going into their pockets instead of out. Also, truth be told, they have no idea what they are doing when prescribing medications. I highly suggest someone of authority evaluate their medical credentials and for negligent professional activity. In other words, medical malpractice. This is a serious concern, and I do not want any other patient to fall victim or be fooled by this "newly reformed online psychiatric service."

I booked an appt through zocdoc and when Marlene at her office called me to confirm, she told me they had to check if the take my insurance (Cigna All Access Plus) and pushed their "affordable" $99/month plan with their nurse practitioner one me. I said no thanks and instead called Cigna to check if I was covered. Cigna said yes and my co-pay was $25. The next day, Dr. Farkas's office called me and said yes I'm covered, but it's $50 and I have to pay it upfront and if I didn't, I would lose my appt. Once again, she mentioned the $99/mo nurse practitioner plan (which I denied AGAIN). I told her I would check in with Cigna what my copay was and she said she'd call me the next day. Today (the next day), Marlene calls to tell me that Dr. Farkas needs to reschedule all her appointments and that I would have to make an appt with the $99/mo nurse practitioner if I wanted to see someone right away. I asked when Dr. Farkas has availability next, and Marlene instead tells me the availability for the nurse practitioner. I said I want to see Dr. Farkas and Marlene said she now has no availability. How many times in the past month has Dr. Farkas canceled patients who scheduled through zocdoc and then tried to upset those patients on this $99/mo nurse practitioner plan? Has anyone else had this issue with Dr. Farkas??
