While I would love to give a rave review of my experience with ConscientiaMD, I am more than disappointed in the overall service I received.
Dr. Sim, herself is warm, inviting, and I can imagine an excellent Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. It was just a pleasure to work with her in the short time that we have met. However, a few regrettable incidents were not dealt with by the practice, as a whole, with the same bedside manner.
I take serious pause that of the four scheduled appointments between Dr. Sim and I, I had been erroneously charged for two. I reached out when the first charge was improperly placed and had been flexible and understanding. A representative assured the issue would be rectified. Nevertheless, the matter was not handled with any degree of urgency. Consequently, my account continued to be mismanaged, costing me undue expenses and additional fees.
I brought this issue to the office's attention a second time. There was no offering of an apology for their continued mistakes, the inconvenience it caused, or the added expense it cost. This negligence alone was highly off-putting. And still, led by my trust in Dr. Sim, I opted to continue.
My very next appointment, I found myself running late from one medical appointment to the one I had scheduled with Dr. Sim. I communicated that I was running behind. When I arrived, I sent several text messages, placed two phone calls, and left two voicemails. At no point did anyone respond to my communications. Not at the moment. Not the day after. Not after that. What did happen was I received an e-mail detailing a $150 no-show fee.
I thought to myself; this should be easy to remedy. I had made the appointment, clearly communicated the circumstance, and had no previous issue with attendance. Furthermore, there had been connectivity issues with the online platform that I bared through with patience in the past. I figured we would clear things up once the office followed-up with my contacts.
However, two days after that appointment, I had still received no response to any of my numerous attempts at communication. I then called the office back twice. Both times the line was "disconnected," and no effort was made to reconnect with me.
Once I finally reached a representative and explained what took place, she informed me that Dr. Sim would still be charging me the $150 fee. This coming only days after their grave mismanagement of my funds and the consequential unauthorized charges that followed.
The general lack of concern and attention to offering personalized service is unsatisfactory at best. ConscientiaMD could have used this as an opportunity to offer relief from a first-time incident. In doing so, they could have strived to make amends for the consecutive finance errors on the part of their team, which were equally as costly. Instead, ConscientiaMD chose to hunker down with an even more substantial financial burden.
The last time I called back, I heard only a voicemail, and as I went to leave a message, the recorder stated: Your message has been canceled. Goodbye.
This type of treatment is not the service that I would expect from a practice that coins itself as "Providing quality patient care while accomodation your busy schedule."
I am honestly in complete disbelief and would not recommend this practice.
UPDATE: 09/18/19 - Re: Response from the owner
I rest my case.
