My family member has been seeing them for several years. Unprofessional office. The woman who does the billing doesn't do her job correctly, doesn't send us bills, and doesn't call us back. She sent our bill to collections, without sending us a bill, in the first place. We always pay our bills!! The nurse practitioner doesn't get my family member's prescriptions on time. It takes weeks or months to receive a prescription. No one answers the phone, the voicemail is always full and when it's not, they don't return our calls. Our pharmacy sends refill requests to the nurse practitioner and they don't get filled. It is such a hassle and a mess in that office. I would NOT recommend anyone to this office!!

I've been to many Ma's etc..I never had any choice in my meds and I was totally misdiagnosed . I'm somewhat stable because Jimmy pays attention to my concerns. My input is valuable. He always says if I need anything before my next appointment just call. That's awesome in my book.

4/2/18 Lisa Atwa, NP is a nightmare!! This place is strange. Literally the worst and horrific appointment I have ever been too!! And, I work in the healthcare field....in PSYCHIATRY!! To schedule an appointment, I tried calling and phone system kept going in loops. I finally brought my new patient paperwork in. Next I was told and received an email saying my appointment was at 11:30. I go in at 11:30 and they tell me it's at 2pm!! Okay, so I show up 1:45pm, and Lisa Atwa doesn't come to get me until 2:45... the ladies up front didn't tell me anything that she was running behind, nothing. Lisa told me she got a new computer and was playing around with it..... Next during my appointment, I go into detail about my struggles and what a difficult time I'm having and she just tells me to take these medication (irrelevant medications to what I'm even talking about with her). She doesn't tell me anything at all about the medications or side effects. I told her I was having trouble sleeping and she just told me to try melatonin... umm this wasn't going to work out. She just goes back to talking about my OCD. It was a super awkward and uncomfortable appointment...like, I have enough anxiety, miss.. As if this all wasn't enough, I called Thursday about how I'm completely exhausted and my meds aren't working. It's now Tuesday after and still no phone call back. I won't be going to my next appointment with her. Stay away. Take care of your needs somewhere else and if you need to go somewhere immediately, UNM has their own Mental Health urgent care. 5/3/18 UPDATE!: I went and spoke with Dr. Yvonne Hall and she was absolutely fantastic! She went over everything, gave me some insight and listened to my actual issues. 9/21/18 Between the past 2 weeks, I have called 7 times for a very important thing for my medication, and have yet to receive a call back. I will be going in here in a little bit to try and get a medication. Kind of ridiculous.

The receptionist was rude and acted like I was a burden when I went in for first visit, then the Dr was not even there. We video conferanced the appointment and though she did ask questions she was very rude and condescending once I answered.

I am so sad to share this because my telemedicine provider was top-notch there, but this place is a disaster. They require that, you send in a multiple page “application,” in which you have to provide very personal and confidential info, with no follow up from them. You then must wait 6 weeks for them to review your application and determine if they will accept you (with no consideration to your privacy, time, level of urgency, schedule, individual medical needs, etc), At this point, they still do not call you; you must call them. They rarely answer the phone and mostly never return phone calls. However, whenever you are there, the front desk staff talks among themselves for long periods of time about non work stuff, talk on their cell phones, and ignore patients (so, they can’t be that busy). The staff is poorly trained, non attentive, non friendly, unprofessional, immature, and argumentative. They regularly act like you are burdening them, never apologize for anything, often blame the patients, and usually don’t have the courtesy to update you on delays or call you in advance if their computers are down (& therefore, can’t provide the telemedicine that, they signed you up for). They don’t track records well, have lost multiple confidential records sent to them by me, and they are not well versed in patient rights laws. They also cancelled the large majority of my appts. I had great hope for this clinic but they are very unprofessional and not patient customer service oriented at all!

Living in new mexico it has been very hard for me to find a Doctor that does medication management. Decided to do some research and discovered the reason we lack so many healthcare professionals is because their salaries are so low compared to other states that will offer double or triple the pay. So grateful this clinic and the different providers are here. I hope they stay here and do not leave for another state.

The appointment was over a video call on a computer with a lady who didn't listen to my actual concerns and seemed more worried with getting me on medication right after she gave me some wack diagnosis. Not to mention how she left the call for five minutes to answer her cell phone. She didn't ask any questions about my life and barely talked to me, and jumped to conclusions that disregarded everything I was worried about. Don't go here at all, UNM hospital has a mental urgent Care if you need it, go there instead if you're desperate .

I've had nothing but good experiences here. Staff is attentive, professional and l've been a patient here for over 3 years now. Dr. Hall gave me the help my previous doctor couldn't. I will continue with this particular center it's been good to me.

Though my daughters doctor was nice, the office staff need work. Days where the voicemail was so full you could not leave a message, and most times you could not get them to answer the phone. They started using a portal to leave messages, but came to find out that too was not checked. The only reason I finally got through to them, is they had called me to changed my daughters appt. It had been 3 weeks since I had left a message on the portal and actually was able to leave a voicemail. They were surprised when I mentioned they had not responded. I found a new doctor to take my daughter too.

Maria de Los Santos is a top notch practitioner. Intelligent, professional yet friendly. Guadalupe MHS could do a better job with their interpersonal relationships with their patients. Acknowledging there is a real, live person on the other side of the sliding glass window even though they are on the phone or talking to an associate would be a good place to start. Staff is not unfriendly; they are just not properly trained.

At no point in this review did I leave out any details that would imply more fault on my end. 11/7/18: I made an appointment online for 8:00 am on 11/12. 11/9/18: I received a voicemail from them at 12:26 informing me that the office will be closed on 11/12; my appointment will need to be rescheduled. I called them at 2:28 and rescheduled my appointment for 11/13 at 1:30. 11/13/18: I arrived at 1:20 for my appointment and was informed that I was only scheduled for 30 minutes and all new patents are required to have 1 hour appointments. I was told that I would need to reschedule. (No option for an appointment duration when I scheduled online and I was not asked about duration when I was asked to re-scheduled over the phone). I reluctantly rescheduled for 11/15 at 9:00 am. On my way back to work from the cancelled appointment they called me and asked me to return and fill out the new patient paperwork. At this point I was almost at work. She agreed to email me the paperwork instead. 11/15/18: While heading to my appointment I realized that I never received an email containing the paperwork. I arrived at 9:00 am and was told that I would not be seen because the paperwork was not completed. I was asked to reschedule, I did not reschedule. I left. (The woman at the counter said she sent the email but would not confirm it or forward me the sent email. In addition, the same individual implied that I had caused all the issues by initially scheduling my appointment online. Even though that appointment was canceled by them and the rest were made over the phone and in person. At no time throughout this entire ordeal did anyone apologize or recognize any inconvenience.)

deceptive. They do have 1 provider taking new patients at this office for medication management. The provider is a nurse. One must fill out 6 pages of information to be able to apply to,receive care there. If the particular patient or case is approved then appointments will be conducted over TV monitor with the nurse in Maine. This is done at an office in Rio Rancho. The application is 6 pages long. Use this as last resort. New Mexico deserves better.

The staff is professional and on time. When meeting with the doctor, he listen's and is very concerned about my overall health. If you find yourself needing to speak to an excellent counselor, I would recommend Jimmy Calzado.

Staff very unprofessional. Nurse Practitioner wrote me a prescription with an incorrect dosage. Twice. Made me take time out of my work week to come to the office in person, then made me wait in their lobby for an hour for them to fix an error on their part. The nurse Practitioner that saw me via Skype (off brand of skype) could barely speak English.

First off, let me say that I love this place for two reasons: Dr. Jimmy and Jericha (front desk check in). They always listen, and Dr. Jimmy is the only doctor I have really found who actually listens and educates. Now that that’s been said, I do have one major complaint. There is a woman who often works at the check out window (she wears glasses and keeps her hair in a bun but idk her name), and she is completely inappropriate. I went in today, 11/2/18 around 12:45pm, with a friend who was looking to be a new patient. After what we both witnessed, she no longer wants to go back to this clinic and I don’t blame her! A couple walked in, obviously fresh from the hospital as the woman was wearing a hospital bracelet. They were both calm and polite as they approached the check out window. They were greeted with the BIGGEST attitude I’ve seen in a while. The lady had had to cancel her appointment for a heart related condition and wanted to see when she could reschedule so she could get her meds, which she was out of. She was incredibly polite. The lady at the desk told her “well we make appointments so you can MAKE them” and pretty much told her she was SOL. That’s when the patient’s husband said that she couldn’t make the appointment because she was a heart patient. The front desk lady ignored him and tried to continue speaking with the patient, chastising her for missing her appointment. I could tell that the couple were trying to stay calm and objective and the patient’s husband was speaking for her. At that point, the front desk lady scolded the man for helping his wife communicate the issue and repeatedly told him to stop talking. That’s when I was called in for my appointment. I was so upset by the whole exchange that I felt compelled to write this in hopes that the medical director will address this issue and not allow it to happen again. It was uncomfortable, inappropriate, rude, and unnecessary. I hope this never happens to me or to anyone in the future.

Good luck trying to get into Guadalupe. I was referred and kept getting the run around. First saying they needed my records (which already had been sent). Then they said someone had to review them and would contact me. After my bugging them three times I finally gave up.

There are so many things wrong with this place, I don’t know where to start. Their receptionists are always on their phones and are rude. Nobody ever answers the phone, which makes me wonder why they are always on their cell phones. For me, they submitted a bunch of claims wrong leaving me excessive insurance bills I have been trying to correct for months now. And worst of all, Maria De Los Santos made me feel like a garbage person who was too stupid to get help. When I told her how I felt, she would laugh at me and indirectly called me a child, when my issue is transitioning into adulthood. She made my anxiety 10x worse. I have been to many psychiatrists and psychologists but this was the WORST experience of my life. And they don’t tell you this but through telemedicine you will be speaking to a nurse practitioner, not a Doctor, and then they tack on a fee for a lesser physician without warning you of the extra charge. If I could give 0/5 stars I would.

Hall on what she is saying, i have had my case open for months with out service i was told they will close it an send me my documents an still my case is open an i haven't received any documents. i call an call and it only takes a a couple min to close out an account this is total BS , your services an employee are are rude an dont communicte with the patients at all

Love the providers and staff here! New mexico is a very difficult place to find psychiatric care due to the fact that there are no providers willing to work in this state. I always receive quality care, I do have to wait for some visits, but I do not really mind. Tried to get my niece in to see them, but heard that they are not accepting any new patients due to the fact that there are only 3 providers and an overwhelming amount of patients. Observation: ***It's funny that all the one star reviews are from people who only give all places one stars to begin with on google reviews.

My intake paperwork was lost THREE TIMES. I was referred nearly 3 months ago and have resubmitted thrice. I just got off the phone and they show no record even though last time I HAND DELIVERED my paperwork. They don't care, at all, about mental health. I was even told "that's not our problem" for their carelessness. Our healthcare, especially for mental patients, is already being taken away. The last thing we need is for practitioners to be constantly careless and dismissive.
