Love my grief counselor and book club. I've recommended StressCare to both friends and family.

William Angelini

Go anywhere else. You will be waiting 1-2 hours to be seen reguardless when you make your appointment.

Andrea Noren

This facility is holding a raffle for people who leave positive reviews on Google. I'm positive this is to try and counteract the reviews from patients who are tired of double scheduling, waiting excessive times for their appointments and the overall level of care. How's that for a positive review?

Mr. Invizible

Depressed and still on hold. They reception staff doesn't do their jobs.

Keisha S

Yup, it’s official this office sucks too! I have to play middle man between them and my insurance company. The office staff while friendly takes forever to follow up on paper work and don’t give details of when notifications were received or when they followed up either. So I have nothing to go on but the dates that my insurance company gives me and bingo! Guess who dropped the ball?! Stresscare, then they stress you out and ignore you after that.

Matthew Sands

Dr. Geller is a great fit for me. The wait times are long sometimes, but it's due to volume. Staff is generally good and accommodating, especially Brett.

Jessica Orloff

It helps my family

Joe p

Best facility I've been to. Yes, there can be a wait at times, but Dr. Geller is worth it! Front office staff is friendly and all therapists are licensed and caring. If you need help, don't hesitate!

Very friendly and organized.they treat everyone with the utmost respect and do their best to give you the appointment time that works best for you. I see Dr Barabash who is awesome, caring, funny, compassionate, friendly, and gives his full attention to my needs. Listens when i talk and encourages always. I left stresscare in matawan to come here and i am thankful i did. The only thing i dont like is they take people as they come in not according to your appt time. I always end up waiting more than 20 minutes

Michael Arater

This place is the absolute worst, been here 3 times, I literally came here for stress, sitting in the lobby for over 3 hours to see Dr Lenvia each time causing more stress. Place is like a zoo. They never get my appointments right, they schedule for 12, you get there your they say ur supposed to be here at 10. Got here at 10. It’s 12:30 still haven’t seen the DR.

Kat Curtis

Lisa Amaya

I have been coming here for years and it was much better then the Matawan location BUT it seems like they have new staff members who just like in Matawan don't care about the patient's. I had an 11:15 appointment and showed up on time. Had a woman run in at 11:20 and said "I'm so sorry I'm late my appointment was at 11:00 can I wait?". They tell her yes and she says "ok I'm going to use the bathroom I will be right back". She gets back and they call her in to see the doctor. She gets called before me because her "appointment time" was before mine but she was 20 minutes late???. I waited 1 hour to see the doctor because everyone who walked in late was seen before me. NICE!!! DON'T COME TO THIS PLACE.

Stress Care of Manalapan helped me in more ways than I can say. I am truly grateful for the EXCELLENT care I received there. Thanks so much!

Meka M

This facility needs to realize that when a patient is referred to them for anxiety and depression, they actual need to speak with that patient. I was referred for anxiety and depression, had three visits so far, but no one has spoken to me about the issue for which I was referred. All they do is ask the same questions each time and collect money for the visit. Waited 20 minutes past my appointment time only to see the doctor for 4 minutes. There were no introduction/identification of self from the people I saw - didn't even know the doctor was a doctor. No one has given me any suggestions about coping strategies or how to improve daily living. They are not caring. Their intake process needs to be reevaluated as well as their care plans. Number of patients, money collected, and issuing prescriptions are not as important as someone's life. Listen, communicate, give suggestions. Don't just take money from insurance companies.

Gene Imbriale Jr

Personally they have been amazing. They have helped me with my mental health and the preperation to return to my job. I am forever grateful for stress care and their ability to help in all ways possible. Thank you stress care. Eugene I.

Staff are nice and helpful, only problem is that the patient has to wait about an hour or 2 to see the doctor! They need more doctors!!!

DEAR ALL WHOM READ... I am Joseph, I have been going to this treatment center for months and months now... The place is extremely clean, and I am OCD, so believe me when I say this! The Workers are truly nice, they really do listen to you ( compared to other places that just want you to go in and then leave... ) My counselor is not just someone in which I go in and get my medicine, we actually talk and we open up to one another. I call her rather my friend, than just someone who is controlling my medicine outtake. If you truly need help, I definitely recommend you come to the Manalapan Stress Care of New Jersey. All I can say is just about the Manalapan Office because this is the only one I go to and not the other; thou I hope that the other place is equally the same... Give it a chance mates!!! ^_^ All whom read this and are in need of help. . .. I highly recommend you just "TRY". ... I know it is hard to make a "Faith Leap" into some place new and build a repore with people who become new in your life treatment, but let me say this... If I can do this, i truly know ANYONE can do this!!! JOSEPH ANZALONE MONDAY NOVEMBER 5TH 2018

Everytime I call I get put on hold. All I want to do is reschedule an appointment.

Emcee Charlie Hi-NRG

Been going there for 4 years now. My wife and I have a blended family and seeing her really helps put a lot into perspective. the front desk staff is always friendly and upbeat. The office and waiting area are super clean. We highly recommend Bret.

Wow. Doctor strolled into work 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time with no apology, nor an explanation. Not only do i drive 45 minutes to the office (because they accept most insurance) but I also have to wait over an hour for my appointment without fail! Secretary is extremely rude. I was the ONLY person in the waiting room when I first came in yet somehow the doctor took another patient before me. Hope the raffle they are running to get better google reviews works out! Don't waste your time.

Cassandra Emick

They do an awesome job and they go out of their way for you and try to help you the best to be a better person in person and in life. They are awesome

Cay Miz

Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I spent 45 minutes on hold waiting to find out what time my appointment was. I got to my appointment on time and I was advised there are 3 other patients in the office waiting before me because the doctor has not shown up yet. They have been waiting since 9:30 and my appointment was 10:15. Unacceptable for someone to be waiting on a doctor that long. In any normal office this would not be allowed. If a patient is charged a late fee or a no-show after being 15 minutes late, then the doctors should be on time. No one should have to wait 2 hours to see the doctor because he walks in almost an hour and a half late.

sierra bravo

I bring my clients here and there is always a wait. If I needed a psychiatrist I would never go here.

Finding this place was a Godsend for me! My therapist Brett is a amazing lady and therapist! I've been seeing her for years and she has helped me through some of the darkest times of my life. She is an all around amazing person and I couldn't thank her enough! I have also seen Dr Geller but due to my work schedule I now see Dr Lendvai. Both of them know there stuff and they won't point you in the wrong direction. The ladies at the front desk are extremely nice and always smiling. That is extremely important especially in this side of the health field. They are technically the face of the office and they are the first people you see. They make me feel welcome at every appointment. Thank You Stress Care!

Joann Heaney

Very courteous and attentive staff pleasant athmostphere

Gabriel Georgeian

I have been a going to Stress Care of New Jersey for over 3 years now. I have been seeing the same Therapist Brett once a week. After the first session I felt that she was understanding and offered great advice from an outside perspective. Brett will be honest and not just say "yes you right" when in reality i am not or vice versa. I respect her and her advice and she helps me put things in perspective. Another thing that I like is she knows were we left off at the last visit and I am not just another patient. If you are experiencing difficulties and think you may want to see a Therapist I would recommend going to Stress Care of New Jersey in Manalapan. The have a fanominal staff and will pair you with the right Therapist that will best suit you. Stress Care also has a great staff of doctors at Manalapan. Along with Brett I see Doctor Gellar once a month. Doctor Gellar referred me to Brett because he felt that counseling would help me. Doctor Gellar is one of the most personable doctors who greets me with a handshake and asks how am I doing every time I see him. We than discuss how the past month was and address what will help based on my situation. Doctor Gellar will spend the time with me as long as needed, some times it is 5 minutes and there have been times where it was 20 minutes. Overall I strongly recommend Stress Care of New Jersey in Manalapan because I believe that Brett and Doctor Gellar help me better my self and have a stronger relationship with my family. Thank You!

Im just wondering why i can have an appointment and someone who walks in thirty minutes after me can walk right in. My appointment was an hour ago im about to just walk out. What kind of joke is this.

A Knowles

They have a great staff and have helped my family both with my children and myself. Would recommend them. The wait time can be frustrating at times, but from personal experience, it’s due to a patient issue they maybe addressing. Need to keep that in mind once in a while. It’s maybe only been an issue twice in a year. Nothing I would complain about.

Kim White

Called for appointment for my 16 yr old daughter and was pleasantly surprised to get appointment only a week later. The office called to confirm the night before. ...good sign. ...Get to appointment (@7:45PM) and receptionist says the Dr isn't in, she was trying to call me to cancel. ..must have been a miscommunication.... Then rescheduled appointment for 3 weeks later! ! First off, if Dr wasn't in, you knew that HOURS before and my phone # on file worked the night before when they confirmed! ! ....and I initially got an appointment fairly quick (the following week) now my rescheduled appointment is 3 weeks later? ??? Complete turnoff.

Lenny Morio

I realize people only like to be judged for there good qualities, not there flaws so let me state the facts. One other client stated stress care should be illegal, it is.dr geller falsely stated in medical reports, I was reaceiving a controlled substance (klonipin). Between 09/16- 06/17. Oddly as it sounds they also went as far as billing my insurance company at a local Walgreens and taking it for themselves,or who knows who. As far as the bogus photo copies Brett produced of my drivers license to tell my insurance company it’s beyond professional and legal.white collar white trash!! I have had many issues with this office, but they are petty compared to this one. IMAGINE they just deny it, and throw the stigma in my FACE. I was hoping I would get the videos from pharmacy from those dates that I never entered and picked up klonipin. No chance to much time has passed . you people do bad and you discard us. What is that stat mentally ill are 5 times more likely to be a victim of a crime than to commit one? Wrath yes I committed but anger is an emotion a crime was committed by your office fraud and identity theft. I gotta say stress care really stressed me out !!

brandon pfeffer

If you make an appointment make sure you get there an hour after you scheduled it that way you only have to wait a half hour. This place is a joke.

Mary H

I have never had any problems at this office. All the Dr's are very nice. They also offer programs to help you.

Marcus DeNerey

The appointments for the therapists are always on time. The appointments to see the Dr. are almost on a first come first serve basis so keep that in mind when making your appointments because you will most likely have to wait. Other than that this place is great.

Cheryl Pupo

Megan Teperman

This facility has a mix of counselor and medication prescribers. The turnover for clinicians and prescribers is incredibly high. The reception desk at SC in Manalapan is unwelcoming and rude. The office admin who is usually behind the desk checking in clients does not even acknowledge me when I come up to the desk, will continue her conversations with a fellow coworker, and will generally speak with a cold tone. Customer service is not her forte, even if office admin is. There are other instances in reference to this lack of customer service, but I require mental health services and this facility is conveniently located.

Mick916

Waiting like an hour past my appointment time it is rediculous people use the Dr as a therapist instead of just a Dr a 15 min appt shouldn't go for 20-35 min get a therapist it makes everyone waites and it should be addressed or they should be sent to IOP I been here 3 years started in Matawan and came to manalapan when it opened love Dr Geller but this is a shame

Staff is very nice and friendly. Therapists are great

I am a better organized person since I began addressing my ADHD issues and consistently meeting with Dr. Geller. Appointments are easily made and the office environment is calm and stress free.

From Irene F: I received the support and treatment l needed. l am truly grateful for the staff and fellow clients at Stress Care of Manalapan. Thanks so much!

Joanne Putnam

An unforgettable experience.

The staff is friendly, but they manage appointments horribly. I have never been here where my wait time in the waiting area was less than an hour. The waiting area is very small. There aren’t enough chairs for all the waiting patients to sit. Most patients wait for over an hour and get angry and the room gets loud. This does not bode well for a clinic that is supposed to be dealing with mental health patients.

david tender

Horrible place. Went yesterday 2/19/19 for 5:15 pm apt. Was told my insurance card wasnt activated. Called insurance company they said it’s fine. When I called back the receptionist typed in my numbers and said it’s fine. They Wanted to make apt for March 12. I will find another place. This place should be called Stress Contributer because everytime I go it’s more stress than when I got there. If it’s not then typing in wrong number it’s waiting 2 hrs past appointment. DONT GO HERE !!!

Addison Stone-Yeck

It took me months to get an appointment (they canceled on me twice) during a time when I was in great emotional turmoil. After a very candid conversation about my frustration and my care needs with a very nice office manager (and dealing with a lot of flippant, dismissive clerical staff along the way), I managed to get an appointment with a nurse who was meant to be a good match for me. On the day of my appointment I arrived early to fill out paperwork as per their request. The staff was clearly swamped and despite my own issues, I tried to be cheerful and kind to them, but I was met with flat, blank stares. There was a loud TV on in a small waiting room filled with rows of seats which quickly filled up. While other patients tapped their toes and kept asking when they would be seen, I waited politely— suppressing my ever increasing anxiety— for over an hour after my appointment time without complaining. I am always respectful and understanding of doctors office staff, I know they have a lot to contend with, but as the time passed it was apparent to me that this place had a major overbooking problem. EVERYONE in that waiting room was miserable, and their frustration and pain was met with a flagrant disregard. As it crept towards two hours in the waiting room I fully began to panic. I hadn’t eaten, I needed to use the restroom, I was thirsty, yet I was afraid to leave and have to wait even longer. When they finally did call me in, they told me I was going in to see the (female) nurse I had made the appointment with, so when a male doctor walked in, I was thrown aback. It was a total bait and switch. I had waited longer for this appointment to see the well regarded nurse, and instead there was an old white man before me. For a person coping with trauma at the hands of men, unexpectedly being treated by one was not a pleasant surprise— especially considering that I was told up until the moment that I walked in that I would see the female nurse. He didn’t look at me the whole time, except for a brief once over. I felt like a part of an assembly line. He didn’t listen to me, he didn’t hear my story, he just asked me questions and wrote a script and sent me on my way. I have given myself a few months before reviewing to allow time to separate myself from that experience and see if I can be more forgiving. I can not. This place was stress incarnate, and I felt no care. It’s a prescription mill, it is not an environment that fosters mental health. AVOID AT ALL COSTS; I felt worse having gone there. Will never return.

Arin Crawford

My time spent with my therapist has been most helpful and she's been wonderful. It's taken me a long time to find someone I clicked with and I'm extremely grateful every day.

Karen Stewart

Caring, Compassionate, Understanding, Professional, and Positive Staff. The girls at the desk work really hard at their job. I know exactly what they have to witness on a daily basis and it is mentally and physically exhausting. Thanks Girls for all your Kindness and Patience. I have been coming to the stress Center for 1 year. I trust Dr. L. He is really helpful and it took years to find the right doctor. He definitely is the best for me. Thanks Dr. L I recommend The Stress Center for anyone that needs help in this field. You definitely will learn new tools to deal with stress and coping skills.

Claudia Vega

I love their program and the staff is very professional and friendly.

Amanda Jackson

Excellant staff! Very helpful with therapy and medication!

James NJ

Dr Geller (SP?) Only cares about pumping as many people through his door as possible, wait times are at least an hour beyond scheduled appointment.

Madylin Imbriale

My son is 4.5 years old. He struggles with adhd sensory processing disorder and possibly has other mental health issue . My son has been being treated by Dr. Geller. Since the age of 2 my biggest fear was taking him to see a psychiatrist. I didnt want to do meds for him at such a young age. However as he continued to grow up it was something we choose to do see a psychiatrist. I ended up seeing Dr. Geller i felt comfortable with him and that led to me being ok with bringing my son to him. I am forever thankful to the staff especially Christine for being so compassionate and understanding as i called and broke down crying due to what was going on with my son. She was able to get an appt for him with the doctor as soon as it was available and she and Debbie helped keep him occupied while we waited. My husband also goes to stresacare now as well. They truly do take a family approach to mental health. Thank you for all that you do for myself and my family stresscare

Laura Swiney

Both times we were here we waited over an hour for our appointment in a small, musty, loud, smelly waiting room. You would think a mental health facility would be more sensitive to the needs of people who may feel anxious in closed spaces. The medical professional we saw was very kind and caring, but it's not worth my time to wait in a room that makes me feel like an asylum would be a welcome break.

Johanna Cruz

Don't recommend.

Great place and great people.

Lisa Amiano

I have been coming here for almost 6 years and I see many negative reviews...I could not agree LESS...yes sometimes there’s a wait but if you were the person having a rough time and needed 10 more minutes with your provider would you want him/her to cut you off? “Sorry, times up, get out!” I find the staff friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Dr Geller is wonderful and has helped me tremendously...others therapists have helped my children as well...I could easily go someplace closer to home but I wouldn’t even consider it...thank you to all the doctors and staff at Stress Care NJ!

Jenn Bookbinder

The worst service Iv ever seen. When they called to confirm my appointment they gave me the wrong date and the wrong time. I was told 10:30 on a Sunday. FYI there closed on Sundays! When I called back that Monday I was transferred to three different people no one could even find me in the system. I called back again was put on hold hung up after a ridiculous amount of time. I call back again spoke to someone still going find me. I don’t know how you can’t find me in the system when you called to confirm an appointment with me

A Dr. recommended this place for medicine management when my daughter was in the hospital. We went to the 1st appointment and waited over an hour past our appointment time to see someone. They did nothing to adjust or refill her medicines, they never even asked how she was doing on them. When we asked about the meds, we were told the person who prescribes medications left for the day. What they did do is push their group therapy on her. When we declined (she wasn't there for group therapy), we were threatened with her being taken away and put in foster care. We still declined. We went to the second appointment and they did nothing with her medicines. Again we mentioned her meds and again we were told the person who prescribed meds had left for the day. They did push group therapy again. We declined. We later got a phone message saying they couldn't do anything with her meds and to make another appointment with Dr Gellar to get her meds taken care of. There will be no 3rd appointment, we already found a new place to take her. After reading other similar reviews, it seems like they only want the insurance money for group therapy.

This place is great sometimes its a long wait but its worth it great doctors and therapist

Never before have i seen such a incompetent team of "professionals" between waiting over two hours every visit just to see a doctor and the ignorance the doctors display is laughable. I was out of medication for two days because their doctor promised to fax my scripts to my pharmacy and never did. I actually had to drive to the facility after being on hold and ignored for two days and still didnt receive my meds telling the doctor i can have a seizure if i dont get them. They didnt care. Wouldnt recommend this place to my worse enemy. The only people here who care are the office manager joyce and the interns. Doctors couldnt care less about your well being just there for a paycheck

I have been coming to Stress Care for about a year and a half, and I honestly don’t know where I’d be without Nicole. It’s hard to find someone with whom you can be candid (believe me, I’ve had some bad experiences with therapists), but since day 1, Nicole has been so supportive and helpful through a myriad of issues. I lost my mother less than two months ago, and as soon as Nicole got word, she not only scheduled me for one-on-one appointments, but recommended I attend the adult grief counseling group she runs. This group is amazing - it may seem strange to share these deeply personal struggles and stories with strangers, but this group has provided me with the support I so need during this incredibly difficult time. I am fortunate to have had a prior relationship with Nicole, but she is so dedicated to EVERYONE in her group. I can’t thank her enough for everything she’s done for me and continues to do. I hope sharing this review will show how much I appreciate her efforts, and help others who are in need of a compassionate therapist or are struggling with the loss of a loved one. I’ve recommended Nicole and her grief counseling group to everyone I know. Maybe this google review will help others know that they don’t have to be alone.

I absolutely love Dr Lendvai, the office staff is warm and welcoming...just a perfect place to be!!!!!!!

Very helpful, caring, and understanding

Maile Roen

I have been going here for a few months now and I really like it here. The ladies at the front desk are so kind. I'm glad to be a patient here.

Ashley Jaynes

Completely fed up of this place. First visit was a consultant to see if they can offer my child services. Was absolutely great. It was like they reeled me in. Other appointments since have been awful. Waiting way past our appointment time despite arriving early. People come in after us and still get seen AND leave before us! The waiting room is always full. We typically have to stand. Our first appointment with the doctor was a complete joke. He never reviewed my son's chart at all, I had to go over years of his mental health history over again. After being told by the office manager that we would absolutely be seen shortly after arriving (as we live so far away and cannot be waiting long periods of time), this did not happen. It isvery troubling and upsetting to have a child telling me he doesn't feel comfortable here and constantly wants to go home. I'm currently on a waiting list for a closer provider, and have no other options right now due to the scrappy mental healthcare the state offers. Do NOT go here!

Rhonda Rhonda

This practice is pleasant, reputable, strives to cure and is immaculate. Dr. Geller has been so helpful with my progress. Therapist Debra is impressive with her knowledge and the insight she offers is amazing. I feel very grateful to be receiving such quality care. Thank-you.

Thank you to the receptionists for being so kind and answering all of my questions. It’s hard to find good help!

Mady Imbriale

First and foremost the they front desk staff is so very helpful and respectful. Kristine debbie kim and the rest of the ladies have helped me personally numerous times from appts and reminders to just making sure that i had the right documentations. They all have been so very helpful in my journey to better myself. My counselor Jen has extensive training in a variety of of different therapies and is just an all around great person to talk to. Dr. Geller is amazing for me personally. He is my psychiatrist and he really cares about his patients. He is smart, he isnt script happy ( meaning he actually cares and listens to your issues instead of just writing whatever )compassionate and understanding. I am very happy i can recieve all that myself and my family needs and has helped me continue in keeping myself mentally stable as well as clean Thank you all for everything. Madylin I.

Willa Hudanich

I have enjoyed every time I come here, the people are so friendly and courteous. I never wait hours like I have done in the Old Bridge office. I love Dr Geller! I feel very comfortable and can easily speak to him. I know I have to drive way out of my way to get here, but worth it thanks for the treatment!!

Ilya KubusRubus

I have a 23 year history of looking and failing to find a good therapist/psychiatrist. Both the psychiatrist I see (Dr Geller) and my therapist (Jeff) and BHH support (Brandon) work at the utmost limits of professionalism and compassion. If you're pissed you didn't get enough drugs and you're not getting every single thing you asked for, don't write bad reviews just find a dealer.

Lost a week supply of medication. As a normal person would do I went to fill my prescription of a new month supply , this is when it went downhill. I had asked the pharmacist to call dr to see if he could help since this was the FIRST time this had happened and I had been a patient for two years . He called the Dr, Dr.Geller, who then preceded to tell me how bad this was ( as if I did not already know ) he then told me to continue seeing me I had to do an IOP course , in which I had already completed ph and the best news this course ran by them is $150 a session three times a week , ($450 a week) needless to say i can not afford that . The kicker is I FOUND THE OTHER WEEK SUPPLY IN A GYM BAG and told them they still won't listen and still want a completion . I am on subutex and this will be a horrible withdrawal once I am out because this wonderful place has given me the boot for absolutely no reason.

Rucha Patel

I picked this place mainly because of its name (Stress Care) and their website. Well... I doubt anyone can manage their stress levels if you have to wait for 1-2 hours before seeing a doctor!!! The front desk is very kind but they can only do so much. Well... when I told the doctor, she says, the patient before me talked a lot and she couldn’t ask her to stop.
