I am not going to spend this review trashing this facility, but I do think as someone who struggles with my own mental health issues I owe it to other patients to protect them from my same experience. I have been frustrated with this facility for years. I have seen three different doctors over the course of one year and I have continuously felt ignored and looked down on by their doctors and staff.
I have asked for medications, doctors notes, letters to my university, and even when I am told "yes, we can do that for you" by the staff, then I am then told "no" by the doctors.
I even had one of their doctors make me feel that I am "damaged" to use her exact words.
I am currently in school to become a therapist. I have been told that if nothing else, you always approach your patients with mental health disabilities with kindness, respect, and understanding.
I feel this facility has not only failed to treat me with all of those things, but actually done the opposite. I feel they have been cold and distant, disrespectful and rude, insensitive and unable to perceive my situation from my point of view.
Maybe their staff is overworked, maybe their doctors are underpaid, but there really is no excuse for unkindness at the end of the day.
I'd like to see it fixed. I'd like to see the facility fulfill it's responsibility as a place of safety for those with mental health disabilities, but until then, I will not be returning.
