This place is really GREAT !!! MY Dr. Is wonderful. He listens to what I have too say, n takes his time w/ me. Also, the STAFF there in the front is very nice to.

I've never been one to write a review before, however this is honestly the worst place to go to for any psychiatric needs. They are extremely disorganized and do not care about their patients. They let me run out of my medication after I called them in advance for a refill and they said "they would get back to me." Months went by where I kept on contacting them and still there was no help until I literally ran out of pills. They don't know how to communicate within the staff and couldn't help me. After being a patient for 6 years, I am more than happy to leave. I know so many counselors that leave this place and go to other practices because of how awful the office is. If you work in mental health, you should actually care for the health of your patients, especially when it involves psychiatric medicines.

Pill pusher, no indepth study or understanding of my sons issues. NO progress, even the documentation was not correct as we were not heard during the session. Dr. was preoccupied, this is the reputation of this place. I didn't know until I spoke with other parents. Moving on.

I am not going to spend this review trashing this facility, but I do think as someone who struggles with my own mental health issues I owe it to other patients to protect them from my same experience. I have been frustrated with this facility for years. I have seen three different doctors over the course of one year and I have continuously felt ignored and looked down on by their doctors and staff. I have asked for medications, doctors notes, letters to my university, and even when I am told "yes, we can do that for you" by the staff, then I am then told "no" by the doctors. I even had one of their doctors make me feel that I am "damaged" to use her exact words. I am currently in school to become a therapist. I have been told that if nothing else, you always approach your patients with mental health disabilities with kindness, respect, and understanding. I feel this facility has not only failed to treat me with all of those things, but actually done the opposite. I feel they have been cold and distant, disrespectful and rude, insensitive and unable to perceive my situation from my point of view. Maybe their staff is overworked, maybe their doctors are underpaid, but there really is no excuse for unkindness at the end of the day. I'd like to see it fixed. I'd like to see the facility fulfill it's responsibility as a place of safety for those with mental health disabilities, but until then, I will not be returning.

Please read this through. Do NOT use them. Unqualified to say the least. Make you wait months to see a dr for 10 minutes who than misdiagnoses you and gives you meds and sends you on your way.. and when you call to get another appt make you wait again. This is not a cold ... its mental health!!! Now onto their evil twin hunterdon behavioral health even worse. Unorganized unempathetic just awful. Please do not take your children to both these so call practices. Not any family or friends!! FIND ANITHER PLACE. GO TO A DIFFERENT COUNTY IF YOU HAVE TO! GO TO YOUR GM! If you call in a panic they tell you to go to the ER and say you are a danger to yourself even if you are not! Sad pathetic excuse for mental health. This holds true for the entire hunterdon medical center and all affiliates!
