I had Dr Rondon for five years before I moved , he’s an excellent doctor and knows what he’s doing. He works with you as a team , focusing on your individual needs and goals. A+++++

When I tried to see if I could get in sooner to get help with my meds, they told me they could see me later that same day. I immediately remembered i had to pick up my children early that day because their caregiver had an appointment. I called back within an hour to tell them I would just keep my original appointment, and they said it would be $100 cancellation fee. We’ll find a new doctor. Which is sad, because I though Ms Sedler was wonderful. There is no flexibility here. I do not recommend.

Dr.Rondon-Vidal saw me in the hospital, and he gave me a choice of three different medications and wanted me to decide, when I had no knowledge of the three different medications. I don't feel as though he should have had me picking which medication to take out of three different ones. He was having me make choices for myself, when he was the one that was supposed to have the knowledge to help me. I also felt that he was very quick with me, which I didn't appreciate it because that didn't help. He also showed me a video to try to show me what he was trying to explain, and it didn't even pertain to me, and it was a completely wrong illustration. I don't recommend this doctor or Portsmouth Hospital.

After waiting 2 month's for an appointment I show up on time to the appointment I had made and was informed my appointment was canceled because I did not confirm my appointment the night before. Upset and confused I learned they had written down the wrong phone number for me. So basically they wouldn't see me for an appointment I did not cancel and showed up to on time. They asked if I would like to make another appointment and wait another 2 months... not NO but HELL NO. Completely incompetent and unprofessional. Would seriously avoid this place or use a last option. If you are TRICARE contact Tricare and the will give you other options.

I saw two different nurse practitioners at my time with Further Care - one moved on from the company and the other was Shauna Sedler. Ms. Sedler did not seem to demonstrate two qualities necessary for good psychiatric help, which are empathy and knowledgeability of how potential medicines can help different clients. Simply put, I was sat down for roughly 10 minutes every time I had an appointment while she started at her tablet and threw around buzzwords like "depression" and "anxiety" excessively. She made little to no effort to further diagnose me beyond a few sentences as to what was making me "sad" or "anxious". Frankly, I don't think Ms. Sedler is quite capable of doing a job that can really require maturity, technical knowledge, and skill. Consider a psychiatrist who can do their jobs. Also, waiting room staff tended to be fairly rude.
