Honestly from my experience, he is one of those contradictory psychiatrists who's job is to listen, assess and prescribe medication and recommendation accordingly but above all else, prescribe psychiatric medication. Please people are on psych meds that some absolutely need, some meds that can cause serious withdrawl side effects ie: seizures, confusion, stroke and brain damage instead of an introduction and a how are you tell me a little of your history I instantly get greeted with "hello Patrick I'm doctor zedek how are you doing good that's good now tell me about the Klonopin you're on 2mg twice a day for quite awhile now " I respond and tell him that it was a long story but started after my mother sudden death and dads mild heart attack short therafter I was traumatized and began have panic attacks that I sometimes though we're serious heart attack and I would crouch on the floor feeling like this was it, shortly thereafter I started having seizures but the hospital tests keep saying no trauma and I am not an epileptic so they concluded I was having stress induced grandmal seizures, I was about 22. I am and was sober hardly ever drank, they prescribed me Xanax 2 mg and told me to check in with my PCP and see a neurologist, with agorapjobic symptoms long story short, I tried and couldnt bring myself to travel across town on the bus which is loud dirty and intimadating to meet new people despite wanting answers they could give me. So only allowing me brief explanation why I'm on Klonopin instead of Xanax because it made me too drowsy and foggy. Told him I tried buspar bupropion prozac serpoquel atvan and temaApam, that I got intensely sick side effects and the klonopin and effexor worked so good for me that there are days I can go without taking it feeling good from the day before as it's half life is long
That was it he said he would not give me my Klonopin that I've been on it too long that there are other non habit forming things I can take for anxiety (guess he just dismissed the whole my anxiety is so debilitating I cannot make it to doctors appointments and have has 8 stress induced seizures.) And said he'd so buspar and effolezor and up the dose. The nurse at the end even treated me like a junkie and explained again(something I thought wasn't any of her business ) that the doctor does not prescribe Klonopin and "those types of drugs" handed my scripts and charged my insurance for not helping me, nice job Obama care¿!;!!!!!
