A small part of my appointment was spent talking about my mental health. Most of my appointment was spent talking about what tests they'd like to do and how I was going to pay for it. They do not care about the client, only the money they can get from the client and pharmaceutical companies. I looked him up on propublica and found he makes a large sum of money each year from pharmaceutical companies paying him to prescribe their products. I switched to a different provider who cares about the clients more than the money.

EVER PRESENT

Due to a neurological/psychiatric condition I have but was not was diagnosed as having, until my mid-thirties, I have been under the care of either a psychiatrist or neurologist, continuously, for more than 25 years. While the condition I have is relatively common, the severity of my symptoms is very rare, which has made finding a physician who is sufficiently capable, competent, knowledgeable, and experienced to provide appropriate treatment. Because of this, during the last 25 years, I have seen more physicians than I can count (80% of these were psychiatrists). Out of all of the psychiatrists I have seen, I can count on one hand the ones who provided me with excellent treatment..These doctors are the few I would recommend without hesitation and, without question, Dr. Duffy is one of these few.

Dr. Duffy's office will do everything they can to push expensive "voo-doo" brain scans, mouth swab tests, etc., and will rely very heavily on those results in determining treatment, rather than trying to make some type of connection with the patient. From our experience, staff is very cold, and profit is the #1 priority over anything else (They even charged a $50 fee for them to place a swab in an pre-addressed envelope and mail it. They wouldn't allow me to do it!). There is no way we would ever go back.

In my opinion Dr Duffy is very unprofessional. He is untrustworthy and does not have his patient's interest at heart. Only his receptionists and money. He schedules as many patients as possible in a short period of time. No matter what you say he has a pill. It may or maynot be correct because he has no time to ask any questions. My daughter saw him for a short time but now sees a family practioner and is no longer taking the medication he prescribed or anything and is doing great.

I do not recommend Dr. Duffy. He likes to do many expensive tests. And when one of the staff was reviewing a test in front of my son. She said “this is the normal brain and this is (my son’s name). This is a healthy brain and this is (my son’s name). We have since switched doctors but my son is still refers to hearing that his brain is not normal. Very unprofessional

Swamped me with paperwork when I just needed help and tried to get to take experimental Medication and expensive Tests I couldn't afford. Left me in a room by myself for about an hour even though I was having a panic attack. Everything is shiny and professional looking but they don't care about people.

Dr.duffy left me on xanax for almost 16 years!!i have since found out that xanax is only used for short term, 3 to 4 months!!he also ordered expensive tests done on me.i was pulled off xanax cold turkey last January and i flipped out.i became a first time felon and lost my husband, kids and grandkids. I wouldnt recommend dr.walter duffy to my dog!!!hes a pill pusher.i am a recovering xanax addict now thru no fault of my own.and am divorced, alone and suffering health issues and am on probation!dr.duffy needs to be stopped.who knows jow many innocent, struggling people with mental health issues hes destroyed!!!

We drove an hour to see him based on a recommendation from a physician we highly respect. Not only did we NOT see Dr. Duffy, they assigned us, on our first visit, to an associate who was putting in his last day. Obviously Dr. Duffy doesn't need our business. He might be good at what he does, but we will never know, and if you make an appointment, you might never find out either.

Excessive medications resulting in relative being put in hospital multiple times. The hospital was shocked by the combination and amount of Rx's.

My father was treated for depression by Dr. Duffy and given an excess of drugs that lead to dependence. I was treated after mononucleosis for what he diagnosed as depression but was actually chronic fatigue syndrome. I was also given medications that were found to be detrimental to my health.

Dr Duffy helped my husband immensely. Doesn't spend a lot of time at the appointment but long enough to get all the information he needs. The last doctor we used almost killed him with over medicating. Dr. Duffy has done a lot to help get my husband better.

I was with the same psychiatrist for over 12yrs & she then left the state. She then referred me to another good one for 3yrs. The hospital I was going to closed down the mental health department. I followed her all the way to Lincoln from Omaha. One day I show up & she is no longer with them? Anyways since everything was all set up I asked to see another Psychiatrist. I was going to her for maybe 8 months then she was gone..later I find out she only does medications monitoring on the site & not even a Psychiatrist. Little false advertising to me if you ask. When I asked for one? make a long story short they moved me around to so many people I stopped going to them. What I've seen is the place does a lot of up sales later with D.N.A. testing & the other most current BIG thing, witch I did was wast of money. Never seen no paper work or anything was said to me till I asked Doc Duffy himself? He asked me how I was feeling said ok... then he just said something like we got you on the right stuff? I had a hard time getting my "STUFF" refilled at Pharmacy also the would say we have been on them still haven't got back yet sorry. Wow now you can even get your 'stuff' at the Pharmacy at the place!!! If your going to give them a try just make sure who you are seeing & don't make any fast decisions on testing. Trust me the will have the Sale staff ready & want your money that day if possible.. Hope that will help you some & good luck to you.. Mike Kurkowski

My husband was referred to this office by his general Dr. When there they tried to sell him.products while he was in a very fragile state. At one point they recommended a saliva test to determine a drug they might suggest. He was told that with his insurance the most it would cost under any circumstance was $100. Just received a bill for $3550 today! We can't believe how unethical this office is. My husband was horribly taken advantage of. They must have determined he would agree to it and just went ahead! Unbelievable!
