This hospital has went down hill over the year you constantly sit in the er waiting room for hours and hours. And then they bill you for sitting there for hours and hours without treatment. Its right next to Barnes hospital now they use to be better than that. Very slow now

Should be zero stars. SLUCare is the biggest mistake I have ever seen. You will be put on hold on the phone while trying to make an appointment for several hours; after which time the phone will disconnect itself. SLUCare is awful.

The worse patient response care ever. They take up too much of your time as a learning institution. I just want to come for my appointment on time, be seen and get out of there. I have also been trying to get a prescription filled for three weeks now and can’t get it done! SLUdoesnotCARE.

Dirty er waiting room, everyone here is rude, and no one is communicating to me about what is happening to my friend that I brought here. There is also a lot of loud laughing and hooting. I have no idea what's going on. Plus it was a maze to get to the er!!

The GI Clinic is fantastic. I have had no issues with them. I have been going there for about 10 years. The only issues i have ever had were with the billing department and the dermatology clinic at the south grand campus,(see my slucare dermatology review. Its under the same user name). Watch your bills, the billing department likes double charge you for services. Don't pay a bill until you get the bill. I had several issues with double charging me and losing payments that i have made from the front desk.

Very,very poor ER experience. Went there at about 3 AM a couple of nights ago. Was checked in. Not many people there. Waited about an hour and forty five minutes with no treatment. Got up and left. This ER is a joke. I had #10 tooth pain. Just dealt with it. Do not go here!!!

Used ER check in so I didn't have to sit I'm the dirty, uncomfortable waiting room with my already aching self. Told them I had a time scheduled, they didn't even inquire about my so-called room time. Waited hours longer to be seen, all the while I'm excruciating pain. Avoid at all costs, place is a horrible excuse for a hospital

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. No problem with the doctor we saw, but TONS of logistic problems. We were blatantly deceived twice about how much my wife's obstetrics visit and ultrasound would cost. Over a month after our appointment they billed us an outrageous amount of money that they did not give us any indication we would have to pay. We had immense trouble with any customer service requests and were just bounced around from person to person (none of them had any clue how to help) and on hold for hours. Will never return for any need. Will tell all friends, family, acquaintances, and maybe even strangers to stay away from SLUCare at all costs!

Horrible experience...wouldn’t allow my dog to visit this assembly line System...especially SLU Care Phychiatry .. they are teaching students at the expense of the patients . Dr Sood in Phciatry shouldn’t be practicing medicine. Anybody who is seeking medical services, just remember you know your body the best, unfortunately there are doctors who are outliers, that don’t agree what is best for patient. They base there opinions on biased data and outdated methodologies. I wish I had better things to say, I wasn’t asking for a miracle, just a little empathy . Bottom line, I don’t spend my time trying to pick apart google maps doctors, I assure you I have much better things to do with my time. I wouldn’t wish the way I was treated, on a body who is fortunate enough to seek medical help paid for by insurance. The businesses of medicine is fundamentally flawed. Slu Care Phychiatry is unfortunately apart of the system, designed to care for their patients, who instead end up hurting them instead and by not paying attention to how they say they feel, sometimes it’s hard to describe how you feel, it’s important to find someone that really cares about your overall quality of life, with the goal of making quality of life at the very least manageable. When choosing a medical provider, you should interview them first, and make sure they are a good fit for your personality. My overall experience at this facility is unacceptable and I felt it was important to voice my opinion. Good luck in choosing a “quality” medical provider. If they cared enough to take my complaint seriously, I would give them one more chance to make it rite...and revaluation my review.

This is not the best hospital.We admitted an elderly patient we were there for nearly 10 hrs and the ER staff was nice but kept giving us the run around bout the patients room that they are cleaning due to the fact that was possibly infectious person in that room and the the cleaning crew on the 7th floor was horrible at doing their job there was stuff still in that infectious person room when that person left 2 trash cans were not emptied and that person cup was still in the room on the table for that patient.

Doctor in pulmonary clinic is great. But the other staff in clinic are horrible. They don’t make appointments as they say they will. Lot and lots of miscommunication. Half the time they didn’t know I was coming for a clinic visit. I do not recommend them to anyone. If you want a good health care team SLU is not for you.

If you go here with your significant other to the er, they do not care if you have been referred and were told to be an immediate paitent. Every stream of doctors comes in asking the same info as if no one tells each other anything. They do not have you sign the proper consent forms when procedures are being done. They do not explain why a procedure is being done or what it is that they will do. They just do it. They do tests without your knowledge. People claim to be things that they arent such as the social worker or a nurse. The nurses have no knowledge of their paitence or what is going on. Doctors never respond. They give you no information about what is going on with you. Just a very bad experience that is stil going on

Did not receive my information packet in the mail as I was told. Tried to show up to my appointment but didn't know the name of my physician since it had been two months since making my appointment. I went down to the office anyhow only to be completely frustrated with parking locations in relation to entrance for appointment. Long story short, I called from the parking lot to cancel my appointment and let them know not to call me to reschedule. Drove home in time to see the mailman putting my information packet for my appointment in my mailbox the day of my appointment. Nothing good to say about SLUcare....

The care use to be outstanding but now it is absolutely horrible. I have been a patient there for many years and was so pleased with the care that I referred other people there. I now regret doing that because the care has become so terrible. If you need a refill on a medication it will take weeks to get a doctor to refill it. If you have a reaction to a new medication, as I did, it took two weeks for the doctor to get back to me. I have actually had to correct prescriptions that the residents write. If you have a question for the doctor about your care it will take weeks to get an answer. GO THERE AT YOUR OWN PERIL!

Only gave it 1 star so that I could write this review. The hospital was gross and the staff was mediocre at best. I waited for 5 hours before we left after not being seen by a doctor. I was told I would receive a small bill for being triaged. They gave me an insaid and a wheel chair. The WORST treatment ever!

I had major surgery from Dr. Robert McDonough, urologist.. The surgery was very difficult and took a long time however my life has changed considerably since that day, I have a quality-of-life like I’ve never had before and I love St. Louis University and their physicians, Thank God for them. Here’s an interesting tidbit. Born in 1949, was a very sick baby. Had life saving surgery in 1950 at Furman-Desloge Hospital. Now known as St. Louis University Hospital. Had a life-saving surgery last year (2017) in August at St. Louis University Hospital. Did full circle with St. Louis University Hospital. From the bottom of my heart, thank you SSM. Rg

Been her for over 7 hours in the er department sounds like a damn meeting spot outside of the room I'm sorry to say but SLu service has gone down hill in the past years last time I was here was 2010 n now I see y I haven't been here since then

Doctor prescribed me Malaria drugs that you're not supposed to take if you have an anxiety disorder (which I listed on my form). While isolated in the jungle, I felt like I was about to die from panic attacks and I had to risk my health and stop taking them. The doctor could've easy read this in the drug description.

Its the freaking er! They hve dozens of patients come n every hour.. its also a trauma center, meaning its there 4 ppl n serious or critical conditions. If you come in there with a b.s. toothache or an STD check, i dont blame them for making you wait to help the more serious conditions. Go to your PCP or Urgent care for minor things like that!

It seems as though it"s all about money now can't schedule appointments or be seen by a physician if you don't have copay scheduled appointments are to close with patients

The physician was actually nice, but that's all. The billing department is an absolute nightmare to work with. They sent my claim to Medicaid (I don't have Medicaid). When I got a bill in the mail, I was on hold for an hour to verify it was sent to my insurance and I was dropped after the system timed out (I'm assuming). I called back, gave my information, was promised it would be billed. It wasn't. It was sent to a debt collector. So I called again. The next representative explained my insurance denied the service (part of my delivery care) as non-covered, which made no sense. The second person I talked to said it was denied as ineligible - again, made no sense, and these are two totally different denials. My insurance never received the claim - it was repeatedly sent to the wrong insurance despite MULTIPLE representatives confirming my information correctly. My insurance had to call them twice (the won't make outgoing calls, that's on you to set up) and tell them how to do their job and they still haven't. I'm still working to get this headache resolved!!!
