The caseworkers here are very rude. I had one caseworker insult me and whenever I reported her, I was told that she was allowed to say what she did pretty much because I have a "mental illness". I feel as if this certain caseworker and others abuse their power and are allowed to get away with pretty much anything. My feelings were hurt pretty badly over what was said, and her supervisor didn't seem to care in the least bit. Also, I had asked for over a year to see a psychiatrist because I don't prefer nurse practitioners, because obviously doctors have more education and knowledge of psychiatry and pharmacology. Now I finally get to see a psychiatrist, but that hasn't been until now that I am at the Berrywood Clinic. Also, the staff at PSR don't seem to care about their job and are very disrespectul at times to the clients. One staff member likes to be on her phone quite a bit when she is supposed to be working, and she treats the clients like they are a bother and has no compassion for the clients who attend PSR and acts like she would rather be anywhere else than at her job. I felt very hurt by the comment the caseworker said to me. Just because you are a caseworker working with mentally ill people doesn't mean you have the right to insult them. It seems these caseworkers get away with everything. I have seen several reports on the news of other caseworkers in different states where caseworkers have gotten away with even worse things. Sad world we live in where mentally ill people are treated like trash and treated like they have no feelings and deserve to be insulted. I will NEVER have case management services with Burrell again. I felt betrayed by my caseworker's supervisor and by her making excuses for the caseworker and her insulting me. I've been thinking about quitting Burrell services altogether. Anywho, I hope my review can help others in some way.
