The best mental institution in the midwest BY FAR! They helped me so much with my depression and PTSD Nurses lovely and doctors okay! Please remember everyone that mental institution visits are a very unique and different with each person. Mental hospitals don't cure us but they at least try to help us. Some help is better than no help ❤❤❤❤

Drugs prescribed like candy - talking is too inconvenient; (my psychiatrist actually fell asleep during a 15 minute appointment) do not use any Mayo psyciatrist if you have a spouse working at the clinic - because spousal abuse is not allowed to be talked about/dismissed/ignored. Drugs are Mayo's only solution.

Mayo takes extreme cases of mentally ill. They treat no on effectively. No routine, things are late, patients come and go as they please. No real concern from any of the team. I will die before I'm admitted there again. It appalled me. Generis is ACUTE care, staying for months without a therapist is ridiculous

Adolescent inpatient was ok. Group therapy was uncomfortable (having to share your problems in front of a bunch of other unstable teenagers is not fun) but not the worst. Food was terrible. Therapists were good, nurses check in every 15 minutes. Groupings a little weird (I was admitted to a teenager ward when I was younger.)
