This place is a joke. I am going here for medication management only and it’s terrible. Both times the doctor has been 20 min late and I was the first apt of the day. The receptionist is not friendly. These people have no incentive to be better because this type of care is usually make or break. Update to my last review, the doctor ended up being 40 min late and after telling her what was going on she asked if I really had the disorder I’m there to manage. How about I don’t know you tell me. I didn’t make up my diagnoses and just show up one day. I was referred by a hospital.

Therapist and psychiatrist that I see there are both very good, but I feel like my appointments get cancelled every other time. When I call to reschedule, the receptionists sound rude and are unhelpful.

For a mental health organization, the women at the front desk are oddly incompetent and rude. When trying to get in earlier (at the worry of my therapist), the receptionist left a VM saying they had a spot for me to get in right away. When I called back less than an hour later the spot had been taken. The VM made it sound like the spot was being held for me, and I was frustrated to hear that it was not. When I let them know my frustration, the receptionist had absolutely no tact or customer service skills. She refused to admit fault at not being more clear that the spot was not being reserved for me, and she straight up refused to let me speak to her supervisor. She also did not care to hear why it was important (and why my therapist emphasized) I should be seen right away. The front desk is the face of any company, and this face comes across as rude, condescending, and uncaring. I would not want anyone with more severe mental illness to have to deal with these people. Look elsewhere.

Made an appt as a new patient, waited over a month to get in. Had a last minute emergency and couldn't make any other arrangements for a ride. Cancelled an appt and found out that they will not reschedule me due to cancellation. Doesn't say anywhere on the website, was news to me, wasn't warned when I made an appt, which would be no use anyway since it is emergency.. So, be aware.

I personally like this location. Haven't had big issues with front desk staff there. Dr. Pasnecker here actually took on my son for behavioral at age 8 as a previous expert but hasn't worked with children for years, so I really appreciated his willingness to take on a different age group than he normally sees at this stage in his career. In my opinion this was above and beyond customer service, and my son has seen progress. Thank you ACP!

I go here and never experienced any of these issues. I do wish that all psy . groups in the twin cities would offer specific support groups; for us retiree women, it is emotional support and past mild-mod emotional abuse/neglect in childhood, retirement issues, daily issues that are affecting us, to include financial neglect. Even the attorney general office said, the community is lacking all of this for seniors. We, specifically, are young at heart; this is not the senior center group. We also do not want groups 1/mo, 1/wk in neighborhoods

The girls that do the scheduling are very short and rude, especially the newer one. I dread every time I have to make an appointment. My psychologist is wonderful. My psychiatrist is fast, cold and appears to have too many patients. I really want to go somewhere else, just don't want to start over with new psychologist.

In the realm of mental health services, Lakes Consultation Group stands as a mockery. The contemptible sacks of squandered flesh behind the counter exude an arrogant disregard (if not a total lack of respect) for their patients. When you're dealing with people's bodies at this level, it's not a good time to slump into D.I.L.L.I.G.a.F.-customer-service-mode. I work customer service. I've lived it. I know it when I see and experience it, and a mental health clinic is simply not an appropriate venue for such behavior. There are LIVES AT STAKE. Put down your designer latte and get to work. EXAMPLE: Multiple times I have tried to renew/refill medications through this team(?) only for them to somehow delay it for the better part of a week. (Withdrawal from heavy anti-depression/anxiety drugs comes with the startling sensation of an electric shock frequently shooting across your scalp and down your spine accompanied by crippling headaches, waves of nausea, and of course, brutal episodes of high anxiety and suicidal ideation.) It's usually at this point that I've needed to practically hold their hands through the process of seeing their work done (making their calls for them, etc), when they aren't making me jump through bureaucratic hoops with the hope of results that resemble effective administrative practices. Tonight, I finally was able to retrieve my Cymbalta after yet another edition of this pathetic song-and-dance. This is to say nothing of their doctors/nurses. The only reason I would ever go back to this citadel of incompetence is to roast marshmallows over it... and I don't even eat marshmallows, so I guess that's that. In the meantime, I'll be over here in the corner readjusting to my dosage, and finding a clinic that actually cares for their patients' wellness more than their paychecks and break-times.

I completely agree with the previous posters' assessment of the receptionist, which is why I'm so happy she doesn't work there anymore. She was a real hater of life. The ladies that work the front desk now are always pleasant, personable and helpful. Mental health facilities are always hard to get into in Minnesota when making your first appointment. I would suggest getting a referral by a therapist or a doctor, as a lot of psych offices set aside spots for referrals. I have found ACP to be better than most at scheduling and availability.

Psychiatrist is good. My old therapist who now works at the new clinic I'm going to told me I was faking my mental illness. I then missed 2 appointments from sheer fear and then had to schedule 2 same day appointments to be able to schedule appointments out which is impossible for therapists. It's a 2 and done system because it's impossible to meet the standards. I like my new therapist and all that better, but I'm still ok with my meds being taken care of though here.

I have never felt so stigmatized and disrespected about receiving mental health treatment until I went to LCG. The front desk receptionist is very disrespectful, any time I had a question about rescheduling or release of information I was given a snippy angry response, what ever happened to treating people in an empathetic and compassionate way? Especially those in a vulnerable place seeking mental health treatment? This was my introduction to the group. I was hoping the psychiatrists here could redeem for the receptionists and help make me feel that I could lend my trust to them for treatment. However, it turned out the psychiatrists here are running a cash cow pill farm. They require an appointment for each refill which costs in the hundreds then you have to pay for the prescription as well. They give you 15 minutes for subsequent appointments after the initial evaluation. How are they supposed to have proper assessments with only 15 minutes? I hope that people realize that this group is mistreating their patients and treating them in a antipathic demeaning way. Absolute shame.

If I could rate this with 0 stars I would. Impossible to get ahold of anyone there. Horrible service. Do not go here

Eric Meyer

Almost impossible to get through by phone and they don't return your calls. There appears to be some combination of understaffing and bad management.
