My Dr is great but she is no longer there and I was given NO notification until I show up to the last appointment and she was no longer there. No one ever answers the phone or calls you back! My wife has been trying for a week to get ahold of her doctor with ZERO LUCK! STAY AS FAR FROM HERE AS YOU CAN!!! I found my doctor again and no longer use this practice, my wife is doing the same.

This place is absolutely horrific. Pls stay way if you need immediate assistance. They do not answer the phone and the receptionist is sitting right there. You never get a live person. You have to leave a message at all times. I feel sorry for the person who runs out of their meds and need to get in touch with their Dr.

The staff is rude and abusive. Refused to give an emergency refill medication, despite doctor's orders. "Scott" hung up on me in the worst case of lack of professionalism that I've ever been subjected to. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE. This is how they treat you after being a patient for 10 years. Imagine how they treat new patients.

i never write reviews, but the receptionists here are terrible. they NEVER answer the phone and when they do they are exceptionally rude. I have never once tried to call there and been answered on the first or second try. the office is dirty and the psychiatrists are mediocre at best ever since Ellen Sampson left the practice.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. You cannot get through to a person on the phone about refills or appointments and the receptionist Ann Marie should find a job not speaking to people. After multiple emails and phone messages (including to management) with no return phone call its clear that these people dont really "care". Im disgusted being in the health care industry myself by the treatment of this facility.

While my psychiatrist is an absolute angel, the receptionist needs to get fired immediately. She has absolutely no understanding of how medications work and will not give an emergency prescription of my antidepressant because she is cold and heartless herself. She does not answer the phone. She does not call back. I have not been able to make an appointment so they will not refill my prescription. I moved out of state and cannot just go in to make my appointment (which i would often have to due to not answering the phone) and now I have to abruptly stop my antidepressant which can cause a relapse in suicidal symptoms. Would not recommend at all as they are unethical and truly do not care about the mental health of their patients

My experience with nova has been quite exceptional .. both my Dr and therapist have been super supportive, they have been patient with my tardiness ( unlike MOST) and work closely together in helping me reach my short and long term goals... I'm by far the easiest patient in fact, im actually alot of work lol! Im just being honest . Im a work on progress and I do feel as though they see this as well and is why im still a patient here a year later , most places give the boot when having to resched, tardiness etc.. i think if your serious about self care and are making effort in doing so or not sure where too start, i highly recommend Nova

This place is HORRIFIC!!!! I spoke with the rudest woman on the phone who hung up on me TWICE after giving me barely enough info to contact their "intake line" - this woman claimed to be the manager!! She should be fired immediately for the way she spoke over the phone. She was rude, sarcastic, and a sick excuse for someone working in that position. This is a mental health counseling center? YIKES!!!!! One star because that's the only option to be able to post this comment. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor- DO NOT SEEK HEALTH OR WELLNESS HERE unless that crazy lady "Karen" is nowhere in sight. I mean, what a representation!

Dr.Accardi truly cares about her patients and goes above and beyond to help them! Sending the prescriptions right over to the pharmacy= HUGE Time saver!!! .... So instead of having to drop it off and either having to wait or having to make another trip and come back later. I just get a text when it's ready head over to the drive-through= done!

Just terrible. Took weeks to get hold of a live person. Eventually was screened. Couple more weeks till i managed to see MD. He was nice. However, these people do NOT care about their patient's... I had to cancel an appointment with my new therapist, held up at work. APT was at 9am. Mistake. Office does not open till 9am. Could not reach anyone, could not leave a message. Got through eventually at 10:05am to V/M. Asked someone to call me back. No-one bothered Cane to my return apt with md. Gaf been cancelled as i was deemed a NO show... Just outrageous. I really need SUPPORTIVE help. These guys aggressively kick you to the kirb... Just because some people are no show does not mean we are all like that. I cried all night. I have waited for weeks for help, Now i have no one. I started a new med for 2 wks, if course now i have no doctor no medication, abd actually 100% worse than when i started this process. Absolutely hopeless. Thanks Nova. Just completely incompetent.

I have been a patient here at Nova for over 10 years, my mental health is very important. The care and compassion I have received from Dr Accardi over this period of time has been life changing. She is the most selfless caring woman I have ever encountered. Knowing that I can call the practice and either have a phone call returned ASAP or a squeezed in appointment eases my anxiety ridden mind!

NO common courtesy, lack of communication, very rude, NO social skills...HORRIBLE! The Quincy office, has a very rude, impatient, and ignorant lady answering the phone. She is difficult to understand because of her foreign accent, but the worst part is her attitude and lack of communication skills! Not only did she seem angry and bitter but she spoke demeaning towards me, after I called the wrong number and tried to explain that the automated phone call service they have set up for confirming/canceling appointments directed me to her, not me! The Weymouth, MA office is no better at all! The first day I went there, I waited over two hours for my appointment, which I had arrived at early to fill out paperwork (they told me to)! The lady and man at the desk never said one word to me! I had to go up to the desk and ask if they had forgotten I was there, or if the doctor knew. Tell me why a half hour(hour maximum) appointment takes that long! Despite having been treated poorly by staff at the front desk, the doctor herself apologized for the long wait, and was very polite and kind. After this, my next appointment I had to cancel due to illness. I had called (Weymouth) and a lady answering the phone, was just as bad as the lady in Quincy! Avoid NOVA!

As a grad student, I'm on Mass Health and was referred to Nova. I feel so confused at how rude, mean, cold-hearted and unprofessional he receptionists are. In two short years, I've had three different doctors leave the practice with little to no notice. In fact, today I was told an hour before my appointment that my doctor had left. The doctors have been wonderful and professional during their short time at NOVA. However, it saddens me to see how the reception desk handles their patients. I've often wondered, how many people who needed mental health counseling have they pushed away? They cause anxiety instead of helping to prevent it.

New to therapy. My experience is from late 2016. If this is how therapy is supposed to operate - I don't believe anyone needs these services - at least from NOVA. My primary recommended I go to a women there. First session was just to get to know her. The second session she tells me this is our last session because she is being transferred to another practice location. I left after 5 minutes because - "what's the point?" They need to get to know you before they can help you as far as I know. A couple of months later I get a bill from them for those two sessions? What good were those sessions to me? Especially since she referred me to a complete waste of space old fart who was 10-15 minutes late for every meeting, then he sits and shuffles his papers for 5-10 minutes and gives me a funny look like I'm suppose to run this meeting. My second and third meeting I tell him the same things I told him in the first meeting about myself because he can't remember our first meetings together. I gave him (as well as the first therapist I met with) my complete neuro-psychological evaluation so he can learn a bit about me. He never read it for any of the 3 or 4 meetings we had. And of course, even though he was very late for every meeting, we certainly ended on time. This joke of a place had the audacity to charge for every one of those poor excuse, waste of time meetings. I sent a letter fighting the charges about 11 months ago and never heard back until yesterday where they just sent me the same invoice without addressing any of my concerns. This place is a scam - don't waste your time. I will be reporting them to authorities if they do not resolve this bill very soon as they clearly only care about money and not the mental health of their patients - at least the people I met with there.

i created an account just to warn others about this horrible place! I was referred from my primary because i am struggling with adult ADD im not sure why i was referred here ? It took multiple phone calls a couple hours a day for weeks just to get an intake then another 2 weeks for an appt. I was given the wrong suite info for my 1st visit and wandered thru 3 floors before reaching the right office . I was still 5 minutes early yet had to wait an entire HOUR for the DR! I was given questionaires to fill out and a brief discussion then told i needed to come back for 3 -4 hr test . Because the staff runs out the door at 5:00, i had to call for an appt and yep it took another 2 wks to get an appt for the tests. i even left messages with the DR.! It just went downhill from there Suffice to say after many wasted hours and calls and tests the Dr (or whatever she calls herself ) made the recommendation that i start therapy for depression have a complete physical (which i had recently)and gave me some reading material about organization ,using a day planner and how to sleep better ! Save yourself the frustration and stay away! ,

Followed someone from another practice. Got hung up on 3 times by the front desk before I could even get a word out while just trying to reach someone to make an appointment. Then was told the day of my first appointment she left the week before, which was a lie to cover for her being fired that very day. No warning, just a call that day saying you can't come in for your appointment sorry for the inconvenience but we can get you in with someone else next week. This is a treatment center for mental illness, you'd think they understood the importance of trust, responsibility, preparedness, stability, and professionalism but they don't. Not worth the follow up with someone else.

I had to leave this review because I can't in good conscience not warn people about this place. I am very hard to piss off but congrats receptionist Annemarie Cowling ... You did it! You are a terrible person and I don't know who you think you are talking to me and others like you are better than them! It's funny that you really do believe that. She was sending my prescriptions over under Dr. Alexandra Accardi when I have never met her in my whole life, making me look like a fool at cvs but that's nothing compared to sending a controlled substance in someone else's name! Oh and acting like I am a nuisance when I needed her to do her job! Unbelievable that she haven't been fired immediately after everything I witnessed. Management sees it all and ignores it too. Christine Mcmacklin ripped me off my meds that I had been on for 8 years that she later admitted coming off of them abruptly will cause withdrawals! There are a few more reasons but these are just a few examples of what you would be dealing with. Luckily I found the provider I used to see there and am so grateful to be done with all of that stress and judgmental atmosphere.

I tried to reach the nurse who prescribes my medications between February and March 2019. After leaving 50+ voicemail and messages with live people, I finally reached him today. I asked him why he hadn't returned my calls. He said he hadn't gotten my "message" (singular). Voicemail is the standard response. When in the office there are at least 3 people at each reception desk. I do not recommend this place at all.

WOULDNT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE IF IT WERE THE ONLY PLACE NEARBY FOR MILES........ SET UP PT1 IF YOU HAVE MASSHEALTH OR IF YOU DRIVE I WOULD NOT COME HERE! I happen to enjoy going to the office and seeing my Dr. there. I haven't had any problems going there. I guess its dependent on which doctor you go and see. I highly recommend Dr. Robert Normandin. He's the best. It's best to make an appointment when you leave the office at the receptionist as the phone lines can be a little tricky at times. They just need to update their system. All in all, I can't complain.

I have been a patient of Dr. Accardi since 2008. She has been a big help to me in overcoming anxiety and depression through the trial and error of the right medications. Over the different psychiatrists that I have had over the years she has been the most easy to talk too and very caring in her nature. I go to the Weymouth office of NOVA and find it to be not much of a wait. I was surprised to see all the negative reviews because I have had for 11 years now a good experience at NOVA. I also see Christine at NOVA as my therapist and she is very calming and helpful in each of our sessions. They also take masshealth which is a plus for me.

Too bad I have to give a star, I feel like they owe me one! I am tired of not being able to get through to the office. No one answers the phone. I know this because I watch the woman behind the counter ignore it while I wait for my appointment. I will keep putting in the same extension since I have never heard a vm, after a few rounds I hear her pick up the phone and drop it on the receiver. She is rude and has disciplined me in front of others like I am a rude child. Who does she think she is? I told the Dr, I will not accept her rudeness, he suggested I talk to the office mgrs. I called all three, One called back, Michael Higgins, he was loud, rude and interruptive. I asked if he could hire someone to answer the phones on the third floor since no one does. He insisted they did. I assured him the woman on the third floor did not, I have never had her answer in 7 years and I have witnessed her not doing anything and look at the phone as it would ring. He would not listen to anything I had to say! She must have some good dirt on everyone in the office that she can do whatever she wants!! I told him he didn't have to be rude to me as well, or is that the job description. He made a rude remark and hung up on me. It must be a prerequisite! I have never been anywhere in my life, run by "so called adults" where I have been treated so badly. The teenagers at the fast food places on their worst days are nicer! If it weren't for the Doctors why would anyone go there?! We all must be crazy! Oh that's right we are!
