We love NECMH. The only problems we encounter is billing and communication. Tricia Jackson is fantastic with our son.

DaCrimsonwind .

Terrible communication, left two voice mail messages no response, this is not good business practice, RETURN YOUR PATIENTS CALLS DAMMIT!!!!!

Sinéad Healy

Told us they didn’t take our insurance after my husband drove 30 miles to get there. After we’ve been going there for a couple years for med services. Providers were wonderful, the office management is horrific. You want to know why there are so many mental health issues in this country??? Because of mental health businesses run like this! I’m beyond disgusted.

I am here to validate the plethora of one star reviews and speak to my own experiences here. I have NEVER written a review on google or any other review site, not even for food, but here I am, doing it for my mental healthcare provider, because they are truly a big pharma factory that gives little to no consideration to the lives of their patients. Both of my appointments for the last two months have been cancelled the DAY OF and it is impossible to receive any accountability from the staff. I live over an hour away and they make it impossible to get an appointment, let alone get a refill. It often feels as if the patient is punished for the wrongdoings of the practice, forcing patients to pay a 25 dollar fee for a "last minute" prescription refill. When speaking to staff, they give excuse after excuse. The secretarial staff have to take the heat for all the administrative wrongdoing. They only return phone calls after you call out their practice for being unprofessional and irresponsible. How many patients does my provider have if it takes this long to get an appointment? They treat mental health like a business, get you on medication, and then make it impossible to have consistent mental health care & monitoring of intake/progress on medication. They know how hard it is to find a psychiatrist, and I feel trapped with this practice. DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER.

It scares me that you have such low reviews 2.8. I have been traumatized by family and also by therapists. Is there anyone out there who can be trusted.

I originally gave this place 3 stars, but had to change it after some more time dealing with them. Dr. Nick was one of the most amazing doctor's I've ever spoken with, and it's really unfortunate because the office staff is so incompetent. Their don't-answer-the-phone policy made setting up the initial appointment quite the hassle. And yes, that's their actual policy. But instead of telling you that, you just play phone tag for weeks wondering why you can never get through. Then for the follow up appointment, they told me the wrong time. They even wrote it on the appointment card and everything. So when the reminder email came and it was for 45 minutes earlier (which I was unable to make... some of us work), I ended up having to reschedule. They put me on hold for 15 minutes, which is ridiculous if all you're trying to do is reschedule. Eventually, after hanging up and calling back TWICE, I got the appointment moved to the following week. Well, the day of the new appointment rolls around, and I never got a reminder email. So I called to confirm and they told me they don't have me scheduled AT ALL. Cue epic break-down in my car because all I wanted was some gosh darned help and I thought I'd finally be able to get it but dealing with these people has just been a complete circus. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Horrible service. Would not recommend this place to anyone in need. Wish I could give less than 1 start.

I’ve been leaving messages for weeks, and haven’t heard back from anyone. This seems like a dangerous system for a business designed to handle clients who may be desperate for help, suicidal or are in situations that need immediate attention. Asking for help can be difficult enough without the added task of hounding down someone to give you an appointment. I will take my business elsewhere, but I do hope this issue is resolved as soon as possible. People’s lives may very well be at stake.

Libby Dagostino

I hate to do this because four years ago, i gave a 5 star rating to this place and was very comfortable suggesting them to people I knew who needed services. I even was featured in a magazine and newspaper article to spread the word about my experience with TMS. However, since the move to Acton I have had nothing but issues, and it has become a health concern, so I am taking my "business" else where. I have had 3 instances where I have called for refills (you can only leave a message) and wait days. When nothing arrives for days, I then call again, to leave another voicemail. The first time this happened, i left 3 voicemails, a full 6 days went by before I could speak to an actual person and I was told they had no record of me calling, and I would need to pay $25 for an urgent refill. the second time was basically the same interaction, but I was unable to work for 2 days because of the state my body/mind was in after be without medication for a week. As I am writing, it has been 11 days since my original refill request and have heard or received nothing. I am saddened to have a company, whom I advocated for so much, allow me to be put in this dangerous situation so many times.

Wonderful place, beautiful office and awesome staff thank you

Customer service here is about the worst we've ever seen. You can NEVER speak with a live person. The automated phone system says to not expect a call back no sooner than at 48 hours. In this day and age, who can run a business where your SLA is to respond to customers in two days. You can't get to talk to someone live. We have been trying to make an appointment for our son four weeks now and have left multiple messages without a SINGLE call back. We will be looking for a different provider.

Monique Fontaine

It's like a factory for mental health. No one knows who you are or what you need. Service is absolutely terrible. Takes forever for them to get back to you if indeed they ever do. Also, prescriptions take at least a week to be sent in and that's if you call 10 times. The turnover rate for doctors and nurse practitioners is very high. My son has had 4 different doctors in a year. Then they start the whole process over again because the previous doctors didn't keep decent notes on file. It's an absolute mess.

Austin Whiteneck

I started receiving TMS therapy from here roughly two years ago. Since then, then entire staff has come and gone multiple times. The current staff there is absolutely terrible. I was going for treatments every other week all year long, the last week of the year, I drove an hour to get there only to be turned away after being asked if this was my first visit. There was a mistake on their end with my insurance and I was told they would let me know when everything was sorted out. It has now been two months and I have not heard anything back after several phone calls. I rely on this therapy to stay healthy and I cannot imagine what would happen to someone else who could potentially be suicidal. I would not recommend this facility to anyone dealing with mental health issues

Jeff Hillam

All the one star reviews are right on! The providers we dealt with were incredible! I loved our daughters practitioner. If she ever left, I would consider going to her new office. But the staff, office policies, billing competency, inability to answer the phone, operations are so bad we were essentially left with no choice but to leave. We wanted to keep using them, but they literally wouldn't help us in a bind and we had to go elsewhere. Management is running themselves out of business.

Lucia Ponte

I have to share this. I love my provider there. That being said. I went there for my appointment and they told me that I was dismissed from the Practice, Do you for non-payment of a copayment that I was in aware of. They gave my appointment to someone else. That I needed. What doctors office does that to a patient without them knowing. This practice is supposed to be about taking care if your patients. I would NOT NOT NOT recommend them to my worst enemy!!!!!! If you need a doctor to care for you or a family member you should go somewhere else!!!!

Paul Rhinhart

Worst group ever. Poor communication and very deceptive regarding their business practices. Patrica Jackson is fantastic, to bad she is surrounded by incompetent fools.

Ann M. Schlueter

My son is still waiting on his medication after billing issues arose, since they moved to Acton, Ma. Very stressful when you have nowhere to go. I guess he will have to suffer, until we pay the collector they sent the wrongfully charged bill that was never resolved.

The office is poorly run. You wait forever for appointments and phone calls are not returned. A center for mental health should be more compassionate. Amy Harrington

Very good care for the most part, but a revolving door personnel-wise. I'm being transitioned to what I believe will be my sixth prescriber in less than two years. A real shame, as my latest was as good as I've ever seen.

Stephen Titus

The New England Center for Healthy Minds and their Medical Director and Therapists have been exemplary in their care and their willingness to let the patient guide their therapeutic trajectory within healthy goals. They have saved my life over the past 3 years. In addition, they provide cutting-edge therapies within the constraints of regulatory and/or FDA requirements. They are faced with so many serious challenges with clients on every biopsychosocial level and on a daily basis. We are lucky to have them here and on a local level. Kudos to NECHM! Thank you!

hong ying

Horrible clinic coordinator. They are more interested in their business. Do not bring your kids there. I wrote a review week ago, and it disappeared.

Why would any practice make someone do an intake appointment with someone who is leaving in a month? How is it ok to suggest a patient should completely revamp their medications without having access to the medical records first? I’m waiting for a nurse or another professional to answer some of my serious concerns but from reading other feedback, it seems like they do not often call their patients back.

We were referred to New England Mental Health by a therapist in Chelmsford, to test for ADD. When I called at the middle of June, the first time they could see us is September 11, 3 months later. And the appointment must be in the morning at 8:30. I cannot pull my son out of school or myself out of work! They refused to budge, saying that these type of appointments are only done in the morning. So I booked it, hoping a cancellation might come along sometime in July or August. I was 'warned' that I may only get a 1 day notice. I was required to put a credit card on file for a $75 'hold' until the appointment (so they get compensated if you're a no show). I didn't realize they were going to process the fee that day. A week later on a Monday, we went to our pediatrician, who told me absolutely do NOT go here, and that the tests they will need to accurately diagnose ADD which they rave about are NOT covered by insurance, and that they don't tell you this up front. When we got home I called and told them to cancel my appointment. I called back 3 days later and spoke to the same girl who made the appointment, took my credit card, and cancelled the appointment to remind her that I needed the $75 refunded. She told me oh, I will have to transfer you to billing to process the credit! So if I hadn't called, would the credit not have been processed?! She transferred me, and the person in that department was on vacation for the week She did call the day she returned, and said that she could not process the refund to the card unless I came into the office with the actual card. How is it that they could charge it but not credit it? I've never heard of a place that couldn't do this. So she said she would 'send it over' to the finance department to process a check to send to me. Here it is a week later, no check, so I called, and am told, oh, we must have missed the cutoff last week, checks are only issued on Thursdays! What?! So I'm told I should see a check by Monday. This practice is the worst I have seen, they are holding my $75 captive and I've never even been there!!

Terrible, told me I couldn't come back because of argument I had with them with over the patient portal. The manager here is Julia and she is completely unprofessional and hung up on me over the phone. My psych np also lied that I was "non-compliant" with my medication. These people are just straight up douchebags.

The coordination between staff as well as their patients is abysmal. I went to this office for a few months and they were more focused on blindly prescibing medication without any prior knowledge of the patient's alements. I went through a couple prescriptions at "the candy shoppe" as my doctor put it. They are more focused on their patients as potential customers and offered very little insight. When I decided to stop making appointments with them (which i only made directly after each prior visit) they continued to put me in for appointments in one month intervals without any consent, reminders or voice mails. Now I have debt collectors calling me saying I owe them money for appointments i never made. I visited the office in person to sort it out and I was redirected to the debt collectors saying I owed them money instead and to sort it out with them. A few months later I am still playing phone tag to reach someone within the office to sort out these charges.

If I could give zero stars I would. I have an autistic child that is 20yrs old. We have been seeing health care providers her entire life, and I have NEVER EVER been treated so poorly in my life. The nursing staff are rude, and will lie to you blatantly as if you were stupid and knew nothing. The doctors aren't much better. The one in particular we saw couldn't seem to remember the dose of meds that she put my daughter on and instead said she never put her on that med at that dose. I had the bottle in my hand!!!! Offered to take a pic or even stop by, but nope. Just denial. I would not recommend this facility or its staff to anyone in need.

Phil Victor

Very caring and attentive. Know when I am there or talking to someone they are listening.

Absolutely horrible customer service!!!!! I played phone tag with the intake coordinator for two months and had to physically go into the office to make the appointment because I couldn't get her live on the phone. Then I had to wait two months to get an appointment. After I had scheduled the appointment, they called me a few weeks later saying the was a conflict of time and could I change the time that day. I called right back to confirm the time change. I had to take the day off from work due to the time change and have my son miss school to go to the appointment and they had no record of it when I got there. To top it off , the office manager did not return my call yet. It is unfortunate because I have heard great things about the clinicians there. I have never dealt with such a disorganized office staff and I used to work in doctor's office and if we screwed up we would squeeze the patient in no matter what. I will take my business somewhere else.

I have been a patient here for a couple years now and I've never had any problems. I get a person EVERY TIME I call and have been able to get an appt. whenever one has been needed within a reasonable time frame and when I've left a msg for someone in particular, I've gotten a call back by the next day if not the same day. I have also never been charged a cancellation fee or had any credit cards put on file, and there has been cancellations with less than the specified time frame. My care and treatment was also based on a review appt. (1st appt.)which was meticulously done by going over my history from childhood to current (38yrs. Old) medications and treatments. They have all been a great caring team, and surprised to see a less than perfect review. I have and will continue to refer people to New England Mental Health Center, In Littleton.

Dr. Kamireddi is the best at what she does!

Ignoring the potential for their client to successfully attempt suicide, this place told my best friend to “tough it out” until their next open appointment when they couldn’t help her find the proper medication balance. If you want to continue feeling like a lost cause, with the treatment of staff almost suggesting it, then this is a great practice for you.

Jessica Duggan

Tina Dale

I am highly disappointed in this facility. Before they moved to Acton, I had no issues, but since the move I have been unable to get any results for my child. They never did any formal evaluations or offered any such services. They offered medication after medication, with still no offer of testing. They went solely off my word and the paper his teacher filled out. After the 3rd medication fail I have chosen to find a new clinic.

Cheryl Gaulin

Trying to get a prescription filled is like pulling teeth! I call ahead within the time frame and still don't get the meds on time! People need to do there jobs or move on! Medication is very important!!

Lisa Lewand

The ONLY reason I gave this one star was because my provider is fabulous! Anything else to do with this BUSINESS is horrible! As I type this, I have been on hold for 38 minutes!!!!! This place is ONLY concerned with how many patients they can see in one day so they can make more money. They do not care AT ALL about the patients. They cancel appointments with no notice. When you call for a refill, it's bad enough you have to wait 72 hours the refill, but they also do not communicate at all if they cannot fill it for days because "they're very busy" or "one of the nurses is sick." With the exception of my provider, this place is an absolute nightmare!!! If you have more serious issues, DO NOT go here because dealing with this office and possibly NOT getting your prescription when you need it might truly send you over the edge. SHAME ON THEM!

Annemarie Sampson

Liz Skorski

This place is a mess. After I was diagnosed with a mood disorder I called NEC to make an appointment with a psychiatrist to adjust and manage my meds. I waited a month for my first appt, and it wasn't until I was in the provider's office that I was told the provider would be leaving in a month and would therefore not be able to prescribe my medication. Seriously?!! This is something that they should have mentioned when I called to make the appointment. What a waste of time.

caleigh watson

Aside from my actual provider, this place is a disaster. I’ve shown up multiple times when they scheduled me for appointments, just for them to say “I’m sorry you don’t have an appointment today” I live an hour away! I’ve watched them put my appointment into the computer just for it to “disappear” when I get to the facility months later when I’m scheduled. The secretaries are imbeciles. I followed my provider when she left her last practice because she’s been with me my entire life, I’m beginning to regret that decision solely because of the office management.

Called 4 times and left messages to make an appt with a counselor as my son was in crisis. No call back. They should really be shut down as this might harm someone in crisis. I went elsewhere.

Jennifer Evans

I have two children who have seen Dr. Kamireddi from their adolescence into their teens. She is very knowledgeable and takes the time with her patients to explain the physiology of the brain and the medications' effects on it--why one is better than the other based on their symptoms, etc. I also like that she supports their choice to get off meds if they feel it is time. Dr. Kamireddi is clear that pharmaceuticals are not the be all end all for mental health. They're one tool out of many. Sometimes the wait time is long (which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars).

laura welch

The only reason we go there is because we have terrible insurance. We don’t have other options. Wait times are bad. Billing make mistakes with every visit. Communication is terrible. Therapists are rushed and distracted. But worst of all, many times a therapist refers us to someone different saying they are not a good fit.

Laura B

I absolutely love my provider at New England Center and the other staff members I come in contact with. I like that they have an online system for requesting Rx refills, but I don't like that I have to follow up with the pharmacy in 2-3 days to see if the refill is actually there for me to pick up...sometimes I have to contact multiple pharmacies as the Rx was sent to a different pharmacy than the one I requested online (there are multiple pharmacies listed in my record). The same is true when I leave a message for an Rx refill. Given that this is a mental health center and some of the clients aren't that great at remembering what they are supposed to do or may not feel well enough to make phone calls, I think New England Center should call or text the patient when their Rx request has been processed confirming where it was sent and when.

Liam OConnor

Please - does anyone know how to get in touch with the on call? I keep calling and their phone system answering machine keeps hanging up on me

Judith Hoffman

The staff is very professional. I recommend this practice very highly!
