Dr. Ashai is fantastic

A Herbaugh

I was referred to this office by my family doctor and am very displeased with this office. They are rude, unprofessional and do not care about their patients. The doctors are far from educated and the office staff talk and act like they came straight off the street, no business sense or common sense for that matter. There is no concern for what the patients needs are and all about money. I truly hope people that really need help find it somewhere else, this is NOT a place to go when you need any type of help.

I have been seeing Dr. Ashai for years. She is wonderful.

The doctors are good. but the staff is awful. they are rude. not customer friendly. when I call, no one ever answers and when it goes to mailbox, its always full. this is not a very good service.

Dr. Ashai is great, but the office staff is horrible. I tried calling because I thought I might be having an allergic reaction to my meds, but they never answered the phone & never returned my messages. I tried to reschedule an appointment & had the same problem. I've also had to remind them to charge me my co-pay when I went in for an appointment. They're nice, but nice doesn't matter if you can't keep up with your work. It seems like the office has too many patients & just can't handle it. I'm sick of never being able to reach them, so I'm going to start going elsewhere.

The office staff has zero social skills so don't expect any professional etiquette from them. The doctor's however are knowledgeable and experienced. I've been hung up on , canceled on twice with no notification , don't expect an apology if they cancel your appointment but don't call you or send you an e-mail. I almost wonder if it's one of those things where they can't fire them... because they get so many complaints about them...there has to be someone better qualified to work the front desk.

I would highly recommend my doctor who is Dr. Borst. She is very knowledgeable, very good with meds, and easy to work with.

Dr. Ashai was nice to talk with but the staff at the Columbia office are atrocious. Scheduling appointments is like pulling teeth, the people in the office and on the phone are rude and miserable people. If you are looking for help you will be beaten down before you can even get to talk to someone. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go.

Renata is a wonderful provider for psychiatric medicine. She saw me as a breastfeeding mother, welcomed my infant in her office, and takes time to discuss options at length without brushing off anything I say. She's very understanding and I recommend her to any mother's struggling with PPD/PPA, breastfeeding or not.

Per previous reviews, the office staff is awful. I wish that were the worst of my experience here. I saw Helen Gelso for therapy to talk about trauma from being raped and she said “maybe I wasn’t raped since I didn’t report it” and that “I allowed myself to be raped”. Clearly this is TMI for a google review but I do not want any other rape victim to hear those words from a therapist. She should not be counseling anyone that has been raped.

Eric Button

I am so surprised with some of these reviews. I have been seeing Dr. Maravi and Dr. Ashai for close to two years and they have been nothing but exceptional! The office staff is generally nice and is willing to work with you. If it weren't for Psych Associates of Maryland, I would not be the man I am today.
