I struggled for years with depression and anxiety. I tried different doctors, medicines, therapists, everything, but Dr. Portillo is the only one where I found true success. Highly recommend for young adults.

I saw to Dr. Portillo for 1 hour -- paid $300. I told him that I believed I was bipolar and he disagreed, yet he still said I should go on a mood stabilizer. However, he said he couldn't prescribe it (isn't he a doctor?!?). I left that day feeling awful. He said nothing and didn't help at all. Worst of all, he didn't believe me when I told him that I was positive I had bipolar disorder. I even tried to see him again after that out of desperation and panic and he didn't answer ANY of my calls and the front desk didn't help with that as well.Well, a few months later I checked myself into the hospital due to the increased severity of my manic episodes. About a week after that I went to a fantastic psychiatrist (who I still see) and I was diagnosed with BPD and put on a mood stabilizer. Maybe if Dr. Portillo had listened to me and prescribed the mood stabilizer months before, I would have never have had to go through what I did. The experience with him traumatized me for a long time, and I'm just now processing it. Absolutely awful.

Thanks for everything my experience with Dr.Portillo was wonderful ,they were very organized in the office as well as with Dr. Portillo.
